Bukit Fraser, 49000 Fraser's Hill, Pahang, Malaysia, Kuala Lipis
Fraser Hill (Bukit Fraser) - Tourist attraction in Kuala Lipis, Malaysia
Enjoy its low temperature and view of highland rainforest. Although its cannot offer us a 5 stars hotel compare to Kuala Lumpur but its a perfect place for a short vacay.
A small hill station near KL. Takes around 2 hours to reach. Perfect for a day trip. However, dont take the trip if its rainy as we see multiple landslides and the hilly roads are narrow and 35 km long. Also, there is no network connectivity on the way.
I would highly recommend Fraser Hill for a wholesome family outing and with friends. Close to nature as this place is not so commercialised. Nice, cool weather, fresh air, lovely flowers around and so much greenery.....really pleasing to our eyes. Great place for hiking as there are many choices of routes for hiking. For an overnight stay, there are hotels, resorts, private bungalows and even destinated places for camping too. Finding cooked foods are not a problem here as there are food courts, restaurants and also food trucks. There is a public golf course available for a reasonable price.
Wonderful Moments103 years old Heritage Place. Today this place brings me back my journey here at 1998 by motorbike with friends. Shanmuganathan, Thiagu, Sureshan and myself. The place is superb nice for photography. You will enjoy every corner of this place for perfect shot.Do charge your phone 📱 or get a proper 📷 camera as you will be sad half way your 🔋 battery dies. The journey is simply wonderful. Greenery all the way up, just watch every corner of the narrow path. You can literally off your car air cond, it about 22.6° today. Ideal place for cycling, trailing, walking and golf of course. Flowers everywhere, and for sure your lady will love this place. Not much activity for kids but they will love the place once they out for a walk. I guess most of apartment here are vintage. Hot tea, roadside stall food, strawberry and gift shop.Dont miss the makcik selling hot cekodok, pisang and keledek goreng. Ooh yaa her nasi lemak panas as well. Near the roundabout nearby Padlock Horse Ranch.Totally it will a quite good breakthrough for a weekend. I love Frazer Hills.
Went here during the Malaysia Day public holiday (Sep 16th, 2022). The hill had a decent view to it. Took photo in front of the iconic clock tower. There was an array of restaurants and hawker stalls to buy food and drink from.My complaints are the toilets were smelly and unclean, and no running water when I was using them, plus, the road to the hill is very windy and if you are prone to motion sickness, take a pill before you go.
a beautiful and serene place for a short getaway! weather is amazing, air con temperature throughout with the nights getting a bit chilly. love the good and chill vibes there, good for casual hiking and walking around the small town areas
Reach early and not crowded. Fresh air and quiet place.
Chilly hills with vast floral and birds. Great place to stay overnight from hot city
Fraser Hill is one of the three summer resort hill in Pahang area. Before you reach the landmark of Fraser Hill. You need to challenge the route to the point. Its so narrow and winding and some points having landslides also. Can say this is the most curving road I passing before(For those who easily feeling dizzy, better prepared before go). When reach the peak, we sure taking photos with the clock tower. Then lepak-lepak, hangout around whole Fraser Hill. Then go to the glasshouse have a drink. Recommend to try their cakes. Then go back to our hotel, Silver Park resort(Findout whole Silver Park, dont have Wifi Service, so you better have data roaming or just watch Astro). After that have our dinner at the only Chinese restaurant, Restaurant Hill View. Cant aspect how tasty or how expensive it will be, because its quite hard to deliver the ingredients to this place. Its quite cool maybe like 22deg in the noon and 17deg in the night. No much activities can be do here, such as horse riding and archering. Very suitable for those who like hik trailing and photographing. Its really a place that can release stress, but before and after that you need to pass by the winding road. This is the reason why I cant give 5 stars.
The food at this place were easy to find but all the food stall closed at 10 pm.nice place for birdwatching and a lot of jungle trail if you loves exploring new places.but careful if you go to the waterfall because I saw a tiger at there.
Lovely home stay, and scenery. Saw the old wooden table so renovate + rearrange it. You guys should go for the soup tulang or nasi lauk, the shop owner cooking is well worth it
Calm and peace.Friendly community. But not friendly for Food and Beverage, might be due to less visitors during week day.Public toilets lock always without sink Water 😂
The weather was excellent but the journey there was long and winding and there really wasnt much to do, especially for someone like me who loves checking things out.
Cool driving experience to Fraser Hills. Nice view and also great hospitality once you reach there. If you are planning to visit here, just spend whole day (From morning until eveninghere.Like reaching old english village, but actually in Malaysia.
This location will always charm me without fail. However more city folks are visiting the hill now since the pandemic due to overseas travelling restriction. Temperature ranging 18 to 21c at night. Not cold but cooling, enjoy! If you like nature, this will be your get away nest.
Nothing much to see. If you are like hiking trails....then. Its good place.
A 2-hour drive from my place, lots of landslides and the road is currently not safe, my last visit was in 2019, but this time the road is getting more worst. Nothing much to do, better go to Bukit Tinggi if you plan for a short weekend getaway.
A very historical place with an old style building. Must visit once in a life at least. There is a food truck nearby the landmark....
Quaint, quiet place good for recharging yourself. Great place for hiking and bird watching. Its been over 30 yrs since i last visited, so this was really nice.
Very tranquil and peaceful environment. Great place to go during weekdays if you want to get away from the crowd.
Ull liked it..you can take a group to came here.. have foodcourt too..
This is the public toilet near the famous clock tower. We arrived at night and a few family members need to use the toilet. Need to pay 50cent but the condition is not clean. Very disappointed at this beautiful place the toilet is awful. Local authorities should take note seriously on public toilets hygiene.
Lots of beautiful plants! A good place to de-stress.
I enjoyed it tremendously. It was cooling and relaxing. Quiet. If u want something fast paced then this place is definitely NOT for you. If u just want peace and quiet and to be one with nature then its perfect. Theres only 1 supermarket near the police station. There are a few places to eat. Not a lot but enough. Temperature ranged around 26-29 during the day and 16-18 at night and sometimes colder when it rains. (This is in May). U dont need air-conditioning but maybe a fan if u tend to run hot. Plenty of places to hike. The waterfall was unfortunately closed. Unsure why. Went to Allans water to see some ducks and fish. Then to the paddock to see horses and try some archery. U could probably do everything in one day (not including the trails - just the town). The only part I did not enjoy was the winding road up and down. Unfortunately theres no way around that. I would still come again though when i need a break from the realities of life.
One of the good destinations for relax in Msia. Quiet and not busy.
The place is no doubt beautiful and not so crowded. Preferred place for picnic and outdoor activities. The access road going up the hill needs widening and reflector mirrors.
A serene and quiet hill station for relaxation and bird watching activities expecially from Dec to April is crowded with bird enthusiasts and bird photographers.
Very nice place to experience the true nature and mountains. But food is average and in weekend you may have to wait for 1h. For birders, its paradise. You will see a lot birds every where including rare long tailed broadbill.
Beautiful Highland township especially morning & after rain. Best to visit during weekdays, avoid holidays.
The journey to the hill itself took about 1hr 30minutes. The roads are very winding and you need to watch out for cars from the opposite direction at every curve. So, take a slow drive and be cautious of your surroundings. Its all worth it, once you reach Frasers. The captivating view and the sound of the chirping birds will serenade you. Visit Paddock, if you would like to take a ride on a horse for RM 10 and try your hand at archery. Make a reservation to have your lunch or tea European style at the Smokehouse. If you enjoy trekking and bird watching then you can trek some of the trails and even go glamping. Fraser is a place for true nature enthusiasts. There are ins and apartments to rent and rest before heading down.
Nothing much changes since i was here like 20 years ago maybe aside from the weather getting hotter. If you wanna grab some pictures and hiking. This is the place you to be.Other attractions such bird watching, golf and horse riding. If you wanna gran some affordable food. Go to a food court uphill from the main town.
Having nice weekend at here, western style town. The route to here quite excited due to many landslide.Quite alot of big corporate Banglo can be found here.Overall weather is cool, quite relaxing by watching birds, riding horse, archery and cycling. To stay at here have to bring own entertainments because not much activity can be found here especially during night. The scenary location and restaurant are locate at around clock tower. Other than that will be accomodations and private Banglo with one lane route.During visit on 3rd Apirl 2022, quite little of people visit and able to capture nice photo for the clock tower.
A place to really chill out. Nothing as tourist attraction but rather a hill station to enjoy nsture
The place is clean and serene. It is not over developed. There are very few high rise buildings. Only blemish is there is no petrol station there. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Nice place for 2 days 1 night getaway. Cold weather l, extremely chill (especially at night). Few trails for hiking, difficulties from beginner to hard, but nothing inside, just forest. The downside is only few choices for restaurant, some place are closed due to covid (especially waterfall), the road is damn challenging.
A very good place for weekend getaway with family and friends. Its not too far from kL, and its a heaven for cyclists and motorcyclist. Limited choices for hotels but one day trip is also fine so you wont have to stay overnight up there. Prepare your own snacks too because there are not many selection of shop up there.
A lovely place to visit for some fresh air, nature and different architecture. Its a bit run down in many places but in some ways thats part of its appeal but good not to expect too much from it in this sense - just because its colder doesnt make it Europe.
The main challenge is to come here, the road is challenging for prudent driving, the road is quite narrow and winding, wow !! very challenging for those who are used to and always climb there is no problem, for those who come for the first time please be careful, along the road there are former landslides, do not worry the road can still be climbed safely .. on the hill fraser the atmosphere is quite the wind was so cold, I had never stayed in a hotel before and it was a bit cold at night, there were little flower gardens, the scenery was peaceful. The main landmark in Fraser Hill is just a cement pillar with a clock in the middle of the roundabout..you must take this picture, there are food stalls, libraries, hotels, restaurants, mosques, mini bird parks, souvenirs are also for sale..you want a challenge up Fraser Hill, please come ..
A lovely getaway for families. This old town has historic buildings that are very scenic for memorable photos. It is our favourite getaway place to spend our weekends whenever the weather is nice and dry. Careful driving up there on heavy rainy seasons as there are risks of landslides.
Very pleasant place, specially when its a little cloudy. At this time of the year, Road drive is nice but have to drive carefully because of the land slides and fallen trees on the roadPlz plan ur return travel after consulting locals/police as return road might be closed and alternate route is not available on Waze/Maps
Very peaceful and calm. Weekdays and weekends the environment a bit different. More happenings at the clock tower but not the rest of the places. There are number of cyclists take up the challenge to cycle up from The Gap (8kmthe back down again on the 1 way traffic. December and January is the coldest month. Average every night at 19°c and be prepared. Dinner we made our own steamboat. Quite hard to look for good food here. Breakfast more easier to find.
Nature, cool weather and nothing else. Good for a 2D1N chillax any longer it gets dull fast (unless you golf). F&B is limited to food court and hotel restaurants. Archery and horseback riding at the Paddock, paddle boating at Adams water and handfull of jungle tracks for hiking
Local highland tourist spot which has plenty of flowers and plants, cool weather and perfect location for weekend stayaway.
there many small places to eat and rest along the road with roof and bench (not restaurant). the air not cold even in the morning. just nice. not many attractions to visit.
Suitable for those who love nature, peaceful place , can see many species of bird.. far away from hectic and busy town
Weather here is no more cooling. If you come here during weedays many cafes or food stalls are not open. Must look for the broader line between Selangor and Pahang. All public toilets here is very clean but have to pay 50cents.
Nice weather, cooling and refreshing. Theres no gap, improve one way up and one way down. Alot of roads upgrading work.
Its a tiny little town and the view is spectacular but you must bear with the winding narrow road to go up. Take extra caution with cars from the opposite way and also the cyclists. Avoid going up during rainy season as theres few spots of landslide.
Awesome place for night ride and drive. There are nice resorts to put up with your family. The weather is cold at night so dont forget to bring your jackets. There is also a Smokehouse, they serve good scones and earlgrey tea. Dont forget to drop by during the day time.
At this moment during the lockdown, I would only recommend to go here if you just want to disconnect from the city life and enjoy the cool weather. You can also go for hiking on some of the trails here. But apart from that, many places have closed down temporarily or permanently so you would need to plan and bring your own food and entertainment. There is only one restaurant operating (mamak).
