It was our first time to try Frankton Arm Tavern. The sharing platter was a huge serving and yummy. We added some orders later. Place was cozy enough to keep us warm.Only suggestion is that the host could’ve helped us1.look for a bigger table - we have requested as we got so many order the lady told us she will find some table for us but didn’t come back to us (other table was ‘reserved’, but no one came as they have removed the ‘reserved’ placard eventhough it was 5-6 people2.we also requested a jar of water to which she said she will bring it to us, 10 minutes later still she did not come, so my friend had to grab it for us.

Great service. Best lambshanks but other meals average

Busy, warm and tidy bar, the large outdoor area overlooking the lake with wooden bench seat tables and multiple fire places is really lovely for a casual meal or date night. Pool table and pokies available with a delicious lunch menu and wide selection of drinks, i do recommend booking if you have a large group as this seemed a very popular spot. Inside was perfectly warm and the music was just loud enough to hear it but still have a conversation with your friends.

Always a good watering hole with quick delicious food and great staff. Great selection of beers, spirits and wine. Has the perfect view of Lake Wakatipus Frankton Arm. There are now more shade umbrellas in the garden bar for your comfort.

The food, drinks and service were all fantastic! Super friendly staff. Will be sure to come back when visiting Queenstown in future.

The garlic Bread should be cut already and then served with a butter knife not a massive bread cutting knife. Had the Blue Cod for the main cause the Lamb Shanks werent cooked enough and the fish was tastes and just fell apart and the batter was tasteless as well.

Awesome local spot with the atmosphere to match. Food was of high quality, highly reccomend the fried chicken. Service was the best and has all you need if you like to dabble in a little cheeky bet.

Great location with views out over Frankton arm of Lake. Staff were attentive and friendly. Menu was typical pub-style food which was quite tasty. However $12 for the cheese & garlic bread was very pricey, given we paid less than $5 for a cheese & bacon baguette in town that was twice the size. My partner had the ribs which were large and meaty. Based on the $2 charge per additional rib statement on the menu, his fries and small coleslaw cost around $18! It was frustrating that not all diners were masked when moving around the restaurant...and that the restaurant were not enforcing this for the safety of their own staff and other diners

Spectacular views, amazing people, great prices. FATs is the way to go for a good start to your night, or end, or whole night.

Nice location obviously and service. Calamari was super yummy, generous and crunchy with good tartare sauce. Garlic loaf was also good. For the southern style fried chicken, the chicken was great however the mushroom sauce doesnt belong on that plate, maybe a hot sauce or something else. The chips werent that great either, overcooked and a lot of off cuts on my plate. Decent price.

Love this place. Nice cold Pilsner after a paddleboard on the lake. Love the casual vibe. Kids, dogs, rugby players, boaties all welcome and having good catch up with friends. Great pub food....

This pub is awesome. The meals are amazing and priced really affordable.Theres pool, and gaming. The views are stunning. Theres a decent sized outdoor area with an amazing fire.A MUST visit if you havent already

Popped in this evening with some friends, was nice and busy which was a pleasant surprise for a Wednesday, was served straight away at the bar and had the tastiest bowl of chips iv had in a long time, we all commented on them… sounds silly because fries arnt hard to get right yet are so often just average. Not one to write reviews but felt they were really worth a mention, cheers FAT, will be popping in more often.

Loved the atmosphere there and all the staff are so friendly.They have delicious food and drinks that are very affordable.loved the big indoor and outdoor flow also.will be going back too the Frankton Tavern again when Im back in queenstown for sure😃

Best pub in New Zealand! Great clientele. Awesome food. Reasonable prices. Stellar service. They even dropped us off at the airport to boot. Will definately be back as soon as possible.

Took the family and friends for casual dinner after a day on the mountain. Great service and great food at a great price.We were a large group of 12, food and drinks came quickly and everything was hearty and delicious. We would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxed and happy early evening meal.

Just the loveliest stuff and true home cooked style food. Wanna feel like nana is spoiling you? This is the place to go!True NZ classics like pork belly and meshed potatoes are my faves but you’ll be happy with their burgers or ribs as well.Never a let down and a cold beer to go with it.

Cozy place, suitable for kids, lots of TV playing your favorite sport, some slot casino machine. Great Great foods, we ordered pork belly, blue cod fish and chips, the chicken, sirloin steak and the seafood chowder. The seafood chowder is a must. Big portion of foods. Decent price for the portion.

Great place! Real nice vibe and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Food was really good. Although I did find a piece of ham (might have been bacon Im not surein my margerita pizza and Im a vegetarian. Didnt kick up a fuss though as Im sure it mustve just slipped in there by accident. But it was a really lovely place 😊

We had a sharing plater, however I feel like the samosa does not suitable in that player.

True local, great food, great atmosphere, great views. Not full of annoying cashed up tourists usually found in QT.

Good atmosphere for just a couple or for large groups. Got lots of games to choose from - darts, pool table, cards, board games, gaming machines, etc. We didnt drink but didnt feel awkward in this pub. It got large windows with an amazing sunset view of the Franktom Arm. Food was as what you would expect with pub food. Reasonable price.

Good classic Kiwi pub, few and far between in Queenstown. Great views, quick service and reliably good and unpretentious food. It’s a shame the new owners have axed the nightly food specials as this was always a good excuse to get out for tea.

Was told that the FAT was a nice local pub where you can enjoy a drink as well as look out over the Frankton Arm.Quite a large pub and the large windows overlooking the lake made the place nice and bright. We ordered at the counter and took a table. Food came out within a reasonable time and it was good. The food was nice, well made and tasty. The service was good.Really nice place for a bite to eat or after works drink. The views give it an extra edge.They do have a car park which can be difficult to manoeuvre with larger vehicles but there is street parking on the lakeside.

Absolutely love the pizza and wedges, the staff are amazing especially the lady who owns the tavern with light yellow hair. Beautiful location as theyve got breathtaking views! Would definitely come back - 11/10
