We had a great day at a trade show in the Excel and to celebrate the team enjoyed drinks at The Fox. The staff were lovely and the venue was clean. Harvey the general manager was a real gent and he even spent some time chatting to my colleagues who work in the hospitality space. Will be back

Inept staff at such a busy event location are the downfall of this place, impossible to entertain clients with snail paced, rude service for a first drink. Staff shouting at customers doesn’t help the ambiance.

Nice Pub but not enough bar staff so constantly a queue at the bar and that was a day they knew would be busy because of all the shows right next door in the Excel. Plus they ran out of food! We got the last portion of chips which was a very small portion. Not the best experience for a first time visit.

Ive never walked out somewhere after ordering but sorry we had to.Took a while to get menus, then to have order taken even longer and he read back the order wrong. One waiter seemed to be covering all tables, I could empathise but he also didnt seem well organised.. After ordering we watched plates come and go back to the kitchen, other customers looking fed up waiting to order. Assumed a bar member would bring drinks but another diner had to chase up the waiter for drinks which he then left the restaurant area for a while for to go get. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and all things considered took this as a sign we should stop waiting and leave.The Fox needs more staff and until then the staff need help on organisation and prioritising checking each table.

It was a nice pub with a good atmosphere and great food, however they only had 3 staff serving and about 500 people coming out of the EGX event that wanted serving. Get more staff and it would have been a 4/5. A point lost for the state of the of the toilets. Not good.

Handy for eXcel. Draft hand pump beers where *not* available. Staff very busy but trying their best.

After an Amazing day at the Excel (Dcon), it was a real disappointment to be served with such a disregard for a pleasant experience. The staff were great but the organisation left them high and dry as there simply wasnt enough of them to supply the demand. This imbalance led to long waiting times and often being overlooked regardless of time spent at the bar. Other than this the food from the buffet was very good, this unfortunately didnt make up for the other issues on display. Hopefully this was just an isolated situation.

Visited Sunday afternoon. Staff were great, however the place was short staffed and there was a 10-15 min wait for the bar. No complaints about the food.

Took nearly an hour for our food to come which was expensive for what it was (nachos plonked on a plate with a dollop of packaged dips and that awful orange fake cheese for £13!). We ordered garlic bread on the side which came after we had finished our other food. The staff were friendly apart from one waitress who was in no rush.

Went for lunch before the Jurassic World Exhibition....... there appeared to only be 3 staff working the front of the bar/restaurant, which wasnt busy in the slightest yet I was told the first time I went to order food and drinks that they werent taking any more food orders for 10-15 minutes. 10-15 minutes later, were told the same thing...... another 10 minutes later Im told the same thing again and that the chef wasnt their usual chef and he was miserable so they didnt want to upset him by putting too many food orders in!!!They finally agreed to put my order in when I said I had a timed entry to the Exhibition!Our 4 year old son complained every 2 minutes asking where his food, but considering he waited so long was quite patient of him.It took an hour and twenty minutes before food was put in front of us and when it was, my boyfriends hotdog was watery, and my fish burger had a buttered bun (I mean who does that?)Needless to say we didnt make our time slot to the Exhibit but thankfully they still let us in.Overall, Id avoid this place like the plague if I ever visit the ExCel again. The service was poor, the food was poor and massively overpriced. We paid £55 for Turkey Dinosaurs, a hot dog, a fish burger, some chicken wings and a couple of drinks.

First visit here was good. Food was solid, overall staff was attentive, and no complaints for the most part. On my second visit however, I was incredibly disappointed. It felt as if the workers had a complete disregard for for our table and time, not even bringing us water after the first 40 minutes. Not to mention the fact that we asked the server if they could come and take our order 30 minutes in, where they responded they would immeadiately help us, then proceeded to help the next guests entering in after us and completely ignoring us for the next 10 minutes. I would definitely be a lot more understanding if the restaurant was filled but there was not many tables filled and the impression given was that the servers just did not care. Its a shame as well, since my first experience had been positive, but the 2nd experience really dampened the entire restaurant for me. Our full table of six ended up walking out along with another table because of the lack of attentiveness and care. Hopefully this was because of who was working, but it would be unfair to review this restaurant and not including both experiences.

Absolute awful social media team lying to over a hundred long term customers (all over facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even tiktokhorrendous advertisement and wants customers to purchase a second ticket if they dont finish comic con early. If you purchase a ticket it should be valid not to be told you have to buy again on the door. They say they dont over sell tickets but thats a lie as we should be allowed in with a ticket. As someone studying law with how youve put the tickets thats a sueble offence

After a long day at work it’s a pleasure to be served by friendly and professional staff in particular Violette who’s humorous nature is great, however all the staff are great. I tried to post this earlier but went to Fox Connaught so hopefully the staff gets the recognition cheers

Loved the food. The caesar salad was amazing. Tahmid was an amazing waiter. It was really busy and he still managed to give a great service.

Pleasant enough was for a few drinks and bite to eat, we visited evening time. All was going well until we waited so long for our food, after asking several times what has happened to our food? Extremely disappointed we were told they had given our order of food to another group of customers 😕 sort it out! First come, first served was not impressed!

The most appalling service - a large bar that is incapable to Serving drinks to a large number of people. Don’t even think about ordering food - we waited 1 hour 30mins for a simple meal - dreadful and useless

I have been coming here over 12 months and it’s very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and violet is a lovely barmaid who has made us feel very welcome

i came into the pub for a few drinks with my dad and we were served by vee, she had my dad laughing and was so lovely and polite. We’ve truly never had better service. Because of her we had one of the best afternoons together.

Went to the Fox @excel recently and had an amazing time. Was served by an an absolute beaut called violet who went above and beyond to make sure we had the drinks and food and wanted! So friendly and welcoming to the point we will definitely come back thanks to her!

I was at the Fox after event over the XL last week and stopped in for a spot of lunch and a couple of drinks.Was very happily surprised at the quality of the food I’d like to give a special mention to the person that served us (I think I know was Violette). Extremely helpful and went and checked with the kitchen about what the food contained because of a couple of dietary requirements that I have. Overall I really great place to eat and have a couple of drinks if you’re close by.

Recently had a enjoyable visit to The Fox, Excel with my work colleagues we had a fun evening, and I just wanted to say how helpful the barmaid Violet was, she was very attentive and all done with a beautiful smile.Will definitely go there again.

A lovely experience with a great atmosphere. A special shout out to the lovely violette who looked after us and made our evening relaxing and enjoyable!

This pub used to be a regular haunt of mine for years! Hadn’t been back for a long time (due to covid), but decided to go for a bit of lunch and drinks with friends this week.It has had a complete refurb, and looks amazing! The food was delicious, and the cocktails were divine.Was served by a really lovely waitress called Violet. She was beyond helpful, especially as we were all steadily getting very drunk (and annoying).Service and atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend!

Despite this venue being local and hidden next to the Excel centre it does not have a welcoming appeal. The venue decor is wooden and spacious. The drinks are standard for London. The main issue is the staff who are plentiful but seem to be very unattentive. I was at the bar and counted over five staff not paying attention that I required service. The other main issue is the music that was loud both in and outside, which made it difficult to hear the people speak. Despite a good design, it is not recommended for long socialising.

Oh dear - tried to eat here today. Surly staff struggled to seat us and bring menus. Placed an order which never arrived. After an hour of waiting the waiter told us that the order "hadnt gone through the system". Admitted was his fault but no sorry. We asked to see the manager who was more apologetic and gave us our drinks for free but not a good experience.

It’s just ridiculous!!I’ve ordered 1 Heineken Shandy, and I was charged £6 + £1 for lemonade!! So if I get only half pint of beer (plus another half lemonade why do I have to pay full price as for 1 pint of beer plus lemonade separately!! Never coming back!!

Had a great experience at the fox. Staff were amazing. I came in with my crutches, dying from the 39° heatwave and was straight away gifted ice cold water by Olly who was a absolute gem. Food and drinks were sorely needed and were exactly what I needed. Thank you guys! Xxx

My second time visiting The Fox Excel, and the place didnt disappoint. The staff was truly attentive and polite to us. I ordered a pizza, which was a little smaller than expected but the cocktails were amazing. The indoor seating area is quite instagramable with a vintage twist to it, while the outdoors is the classic pub view. Overall a decent dining experience 👌

The staff here was extremely rude and unwelcoming. We got there for their live music around 9pm. The bartender huffed when she saw us come in. I asked when they closed-she said 1030 but that they were no longer serving food. She Was obviously irritated when I ordered a drink…the place was nearly empty. The other girl working was just as unwelcoming when other people came in behind us. No acknowledgment…to the point of ignoring them. Ridiculous. We came in at 9pm on July 13 Wednesday. I hope someone looks at their schedule and speaks to these two rude female workers.

Stumbled on this place while taking an evening stroll, what a gem..Had a couple Guinness and my partner had some cocktails, wow! Best Guinness I have had in a long time, we had some nachos off their nibbles menu and they were superb.The staff were just amazing, happy, funny quick service and nothing was too much trouble, made to feel so welcome.I would travel across London to go here and we will be returning..

The fox at the excel, well what can I say I was at the cyber fest which I throughly enjoyed and I was so impressed with the service I got especially from one particular bar person who’s name was violet, she was always polite, kind, very very efficient in her job and nothing was ever to much to ask for from herI would give her five stars for service any day

How can a pub thats not even busy burn my burger?over priced for most things on the menu and everyone else at the table werent impressed with their dry hunters chickens, my burnt burger (how can you manage to burn a burgerand the barmaids are just useless, barely spoke when they were holding our or anyones food, didnt even bother saying enjoy your meal or anything, 3/5 of them just looked miserable and moody.... What a shame. I shouldve just gone to McDonalds, at least they wont burn a burger.Not impressed. Terrible.

Not bad, Not great... Slow service (was busy, but staff ignoring customers at the bar to gossip), drinks in plastic containers (pet hateand over an hour wait for food (pizza and a salad).Food was tasty when it arrived, but it was luke warm, so it had been ready a long time prior to being served.Additionally the pizza had more flour on the base than was probably used making the dough, I understand flour stops the base from sticking, but so does olive oil (and results in a far crispier base).Could be great with a couple of tweaks.

Nice pub direct beside the ExCeL. Good food, nice people. Got something to eat even it was late in the evening. For a Lunch or dinner after a day @ExCeL perfect, but probably not a pub with local history. Little bit expensive.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!Their time management is just horrific. Waited 50 mins for my chicken wings and then another half an hour (after nudging 3 different staff membersfor my friends hot dog! Not as if it was a big order!Saw other tables - who came in after us - getting 1 burger then waiting a long time for the rest of their order too!

Rude staff, rude security. Why bother hiring rude people who can’t take their jobs seriously. Especially during a con season. Lack of politenesses, cooking of foods needs to be improved. I’m sorry but this place is a joke.

Very disappointing experience. We had tickets booked for the Saturday and Sundays expo after party which said last entry was at 1am. We showed up at 12:15am only to be told that last entry had passed at 12am.None of this was relayed to ticket holders as a lot of people seemed to have a similar issue and even trying to discuss this with the manager prooved very frustrating. I was told "I should have come earlier" even when I showed him the ticket times.When we got in on Sunday however, not much better inside. Smoking area was moved to a very cramped area, security was unnecessary with how strict they were (wasnt allowed to wait outside the toilets for a friend, but then later caught 5 of the security guards standing in the same spot taking selfiesand the drinks are far too expensive.In all we were very upset with this weekends expo after party, would recommend going somewhere with a little more organization and actually care for their customers.

An absolute pleasure to go to the Fox MCM Expo after party. Wonderful staff who are extremely welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to returning again soon!

Absolutely despicable. If I could give zero stars I would. I understand that comic con is on, but for a vulnerable girl to be denied access to the bathroom, even offering HER ID and card as leverage, to then be denied by security and other businesses for a fundamental basic human right is disgusting. She then proceeded to spoil her self and clothes in a puddle of mud around a back ally is a denial of human rights. I understand the security were doing their jobs but the organisers of the fox or comic con really need to understand empathy and basic human needs, not money. Wake up owners of the fox.

Booked a private party here and the staff and place were exceptional. What a great time had by all . The staff being so friendly and professional made the party even better

Ordered a beef burger. Gave me a vegetarian burger after 50 minutes. Asked to replace. Still didnt get my beef burger 40 minutes after that. Gave up and left after an hour and a half, without any food. Waiters were borderline impolite and completely useless. Would not return.

Super bad customer service.I come here often when they do the pop up cafe for sausage dogs and love it. The staff who run that pop up cafe are great. But I’ve never been here on a normal occasion.I took my team here for dinner after working in the excel grand design all day.First entered. Looked lively. Seated myself as no one came. Asked for a menu. To which he told me to go get one myself at the front desk.Finally got served after trying to flag someone down for 20+ minutes.Beers took 30 minutes to come. Good even longer. Then empty plates and glasses sat there for 30 more minutes after finishing. No one asked if we would like more drinks or if the food was okay.Miserable staff all around. Who genuinely look like they hate working there. Tried to go to the bar to order myself. 6 staff behind the bar with maybe 8-10 customers waiting. Two just chatting to eachother. Who I assume was a manager with a ear piece took so long making a mojito that I just sat back down. Loads of staff out smoking and just genuinely look miserable.The ONE member of staff who was decent. I found out was actually from an agency. And that genuinely showed.Shame for such a great pub and spot you have such unmotivated, rude, miserable staff.

Arrived here very hungry after a lengthy exhibition at the Excel. Was impressed with the initial meet and greet by smiling staff and were promptly seated in the dining area.Then our food orders arrived. Well, what can I say?We ordered around 5 starters in addition to the sharer. All the food, especially the battered food (which was around 90% of the startersappeared a dark brown shade and had a thick, hard coating and drenched in oil! Theyve obviously been thrown into a deep fryer for far too long.Was so bad we left most of them uneaten on the plates.On the plus side, the young waiter dealing with us was very polite and attentive.Had to ask for a VAT receipt 3 times before it finally came and it wasnt even super busy!Venue looks nice and atmosphere is fab, has potential, but needs significant improvement in the gastronomic and culinary department!

This could be a great place only if you had the staff.Bar service was slow and no consistency on serving the drink.( One pint was shorter than the other... multiple times).Had to ask for cutlery and serviettes when I ordered a share platter.The toilets were awful, especially the ladies. They were discussing.Guys get your act together, your missing the basics.

Come and take a timestamped journey with me and my five friends as share some of the worst service weve collectively experienced:8pm - we arrive at The Fox.8:15pm - were seated at a table.8:30pm - were provided with menus.8:40pm - our orders are taken after hailing down an errant waiter.9:30pm - orders still havent arrived, we inform a waiter; he seemingly does nothing about it.9:45pm - two of six orders arrive, including some other peoples orders thrusted at us as if were in the wrong.9:55pm - a disinterested and grumpy floor manager ambles up and after says she knows what the missing items are.10:05pm - the same floor manager wanders up looking confused, asks us whats still missing, has to ask for the table number and crumples up the list of orders she had, meaning she was looking at the wrong order.10:12pm - two more meals arrive, as well as some more incorrect side orders.10:21pm - the floor manager ambles back over and asks again if theres any food still missing - you think she would know? Two meals remain outstanding.10:24pm - two lukewarm pies with chips/mash finally arrive at the table; those of us that ate first are falling asleep, those of us only receiving their food now are ravenous.10:32pm - we all wanted to leave an hour ago; we ask for the bill.10:41pm - a waiter comes with the bill. He tries to charge us without showing us the bill; its the wrong bill. He wanders away looking confused.10:47pm - he returns with (almostthe right bill! Its missing a couple of rounds of beers which we dont mention. We pay.10:51pm - we leave as fast as possible.I was one of the "lucky" ones who got their food first, around an hour after ordering. I do not consider myself lucky. I wrote this during the time gap between finishing my food and my friends receiving their food.Do not come here.

I’d paid £50 to reserve a space for some work drinks and dinner but when I arrived they seemed to have forgotten and asked me if I’d made a reservation, even though I’d already told the person at the desk that I had, and given my details. It was absolutely freezing inside as they’d left all the doors wide open, even though the temperature had gone down to 5C when the sun went down. The men’s toilets were honestly one of the worst I’ve been in. Every cubicle was absolutely filthy with urine everywhere. There was just one dispenser of hand soap that looked like it was from the pound shop. And only one of the 3 hand driers worked. The staff who served us were friendly and helpful.This place has a captive market as it’s one of the only places next to the ExCEL and it seems like they have become very complacent. If I was taking business clients there I would be deeply embarrassed.

On the 1st night before the exhibition the Fox was a little quiet, food was brought quick and very tastyOn the night of the exhibition the pub was heaving alive. We were still able to get a drink in good time and the security guards we great and not overzealous good people skills used to defuse any drunkenness.Worth a visit.

Food and service were ok. Nothing special, the peas and mash were nuked and had no flavour. A little bit of cream would go a long way to making the mash taste like something. With a little effort, the food could be much better. Its clear they just nuke everything. For those prices, they should offer better quality food.My wife ordered the chicken wings - no flavour. Thank God they had chopped chilly pieces otherwise the chicken was tasteless.I dont want to be mean, but for those prices, it is disappointing.A little more effort would go a long way.
