Fourth Street Taproom & Kitchen in Columbus

Needed late night food and beer. Went in at midnight on a Saturday night. Was the oldest (by 2Xin the bar but it was a blast. Perfect college bar with bar food.

The chicken tenders and fries are really good. A cool place to hang out with friends and have a good time.

Adam was great, his conversation alone is a reason to go back! Also fantastic beer selection and happy hour prices

The berry cider is the best!!! Great friendly staff. They do need to keep the bathroom stocked and get a real menu. Fabulous happy hour and super food!!!

4th street is hands down the coolest bar that’s ever existed in Columbus for so many different reasons. It has something for everyone and the most inviting atmosphere for all types of people. It has great drink specials, a great happy hour, a spacious patio, renovated bar, superior whiskey and tequila selection, 40 different taps that rotate seasonal, local, and rare craft beers. 20 different TVs from any view in the bar. Frozen drinks, signature cocktails, delectable sandwiches and we haven’t even talked about the staff or the history and tradition that’s been started here. There’s nowhere better to make friends and have a good time in a casual setting. If you have a friend group and you’re looking for a place to take them out where you will be treated like valued guests then take them to fourth street and teach them about hot bois and bosco sticks.

I got an order of garlic parmesan wings and a Reuben. The sandwich was on point. High quality ingredients nice crispy toasted bread. Very well made. The wings were some of the best Ive had recently. I asked for them extra crispy and they delivered exactly what I like. I didnt catch the name of the server we had but she was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good casual dining.

Picked this quiet off campus tap on a trip to Columbus for coaching. Incredible staff. Really good food. Really good beer. Dog friendly which is very unique and cool. Loved it enough we visited twice in two day.

Some of the tastiest affordable bar food in town. The food gets better and better each time we visit. They also gave a HUGE variety of options for beer, which is awesome. Good job!

For being so clearly geared towards singles good luck trying to talk to anyone over the egregiously loud music, but I guess that and the rude staff are frankly incentive enough to find someone quick and get outta there.

A "campus bar" technically, but dont let that dissuade you. Fourth Street has undergone a major face lift. Two long bars serve a wide variety of craft beer and cocktails, while the kitchen boasts food in partnership with The Crest Gastropub.Some downsides are the limited street parking and after 10:00pm the crowd becomes mostly college kids. But the prices are the best youll see.

Absolutely the VERY BEST WINGS Ive EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! if you think roosters or bdubs has good wings think again. 4th Street is the BEST!!!!!

Horrible service. Stood at the bar on a Wednesday night and not a single bartender would even look at us or greet us. Ended up leaving after about TEN minutes. A joke of a place.

Food and drinks were great! Service was good when sitting in the bar and at a separate table - although staff looked stressed since it was busy. Security walking around and checking IDs was on it. Selfie station was really fun.

This is a hidden brunch gem 💎!We got the Chicken and Biscuits and the Breakfast Tacos. They werent okay, they were REALLY excellent.Ive never heard them mentioned when people discuss short north/campus/SoHud area brunch, but they definitely should be. (To be clear they arent short north or campus, but adjacent)Also of note: large draft list and friendly/nice bartenders, airy space.

Power walking the nationwide children’s half marathon made me extremely hungry so I visited someplace not so busy on that Sunday that I know wouldn’t disappoint. Ordered a Breakfast burrito, berry pancakes and chorizo tacos (my friend ordered). All were fresh and the amazing amount of calories I needed after the exercise.

Our waitress was sweet as can be and great at her job! The place was busy and super loud but Im guessing thats all part of the ambiance. The food definitely did NOT disappoint. 🤤 Everything was on point.

Ordered the wings, taquitos and mac n cheese bites. The wings were terrible, flavor was bland and slightly undercooked. The mac and cheese bites were decent. The taquitos were eatable, they had lots of meat but were sloppy and the taste was just okay. I ordered from the late night menu so maybe the full menu is better

We live a block away. Have gone since they opened. Food was great. The last 3 times our food has been cold. Tonight not even busy, e we took some friends, our food was cold!!!!!!!!! Won’t be going back.

The service here was AWESOME! More than five stars. Two of us came with a dog and they let us sit on the patio and brought him a bowl of cold water. The servers and staff were all super nice and pleasures to be around. The atmosphere was great, nice music, nice people, especially when they turned the patio lights on. The tables were clean and the plates/glasses/ were also clean. The appetizers we ordered were tasty and I loved the beer. I recommend checking it out if you have the chance.

Not too much of a drinker (lightweight smoker), but the two beverages I had were good. Dunno the first but it was strong 2nd was a LIIT smooth, not too strong though. Either way I went home w a buzz.THE FOOD IS AWESOME! Nice selection of choices for appetizers.

This bar has bouncers and then it has the bouncers and their friends. I pulled up and was told to wait outside because all the tables were full. I waited for the longest and then the bouncers just let their group of friends in before us.

From Colorado, here for work. Great place to hang out, meet new people and have a good time. Mainly a college hang out, but, don’t let that stop you. My co-worker and I are old enough to be the parents to all the patrons. Went Wednesday (which is karaoke night). We had a blast! The bartenders, security, DJ, and all the students were awesome. Would recommend 4th Street as a place to visit if in the area.

I used to love this place and I still do to an extent, however; I probably had the rudest experience with the girl that greeted me last night, checking ID’s. She kept waving her hand as if to dismiss me, and told me we came too late. We got there at 11 pm lmao. she was not explaining the situation at all. I was left really confused, asking questions that made her even more mad, then her coworker approached me and finally explained that we have to wait outside until some people leave. Was it really that much of a hassle to explain that to me? I do not like how I am treated here when there are other great places on campus where I’m treated as a guest, as I should be. Sorry to the owner, you might wanna consider a new ID checker.

Used to love this bar but it’s changed recently with its decor and I’m assuming staff. My group and I were insulted by their staff because we asked for a larger table...while our waiter agreed to it and let us move, later one of the bartenders came up to us screaming at us for moving. The whole atmosphere has changed it’s sad. Another OG bar tarnished.

I have been supporting this bar since I was 19 years old. I paid the bartender privately to get me seat at the bar because of covid i used to love this bar but the employees have changed and don’t care about customers anymore. Will never spend another dollar at this bar.

Came here like we do almost every weekend, was told to sit outside until we saw a table available inside to take. We saw some friends leave and they told us we could take their table. We sat down and ordered drinks, and then was told very rudely by a different employee that we were not allowed to sit there and that we had to go back outside immediately. We have never been treated so rudely, and we will not be back. They should have made their policy clear before treating their regulars so badly.

The first time I tried the Special Fourth Street burger I was blown by how good it was. The second time I ordered it, I was completely disappointed. The third time was average. So the quality is not consistent. Also, there was one time that I ordered the 4th street lager which was on tap. The bartender was friendly enough to tell me it’s actually Budweiser ( but for2 dollars more). I hope you won’t be by that. Overall, they are all local business, so I will support them anyways in this hard times and will give em 3 stars.

A few friends of mine came here for brunch on a Saturday. The music was so loud that we couldn’t converse. The server took 20 minutes to give us water and get our drink order. Meanwhile, staff and patrons were not wearing masks properly, if at all. After an hour and 15 minutes, our food order wasn’t taken so we ultimately left.In the midst of a pandemic, I understand how restaurants are struggling but this was just ridiculous. I’m all for supporting local, but at least enforce the safety regulations

TERRIBLE. Do not go here unless you want your card charged for something you did not buy. I went here while I was visiting some friends in Columbus for a wedding (09/02/2019and my card got charged for $41.34, when all I ordered was a build your own burger ($10and a drink for $5. I tipped the waitress with cash, so I am confused as to how my bill went from $15 to $41.34. I tried calling Fourth Street Bar & Grill to see if there was anyway I could be refunded and they never picked up their phone (Ive called three separate times). Im hoping this post reaches management because I would appreciate my money back.

Great beer selection and the food is amazing

Warm beer, mediocre food, slow and unfriendly service.Ate here 3 times because it was close to where I was staying and I didnt have a car.For whatever reason, they serve their draught beer here on the warmer side. Had to ask for a cup of ice with it. One time I had to ask the gal 3 times. And we were there early enough that we were her only table at the time. Im pretty tolerant of poor service if the staff is friendly, but they couldnt care less.The food here is greasy and inconsistent. Calling it mediocre is being polite. But its great and cheap for a bunch of drunk college kids.Bottom line: my negative review here is meaningless. This place is a gold mine because of its location. They dont need to change one aota and theyll rake it in every week. But if you want cold beer and good food, go somewhere else..

I struggle to pick how many stars to put for this one. I like the set up of having an indoor space and an outdoor patio. The problem I had when I went was that as soon as I stepped inside there was an extremely strong odor of something like sweat and old beer, but it wasnt due to it being crowded since it wasnt, it seemed like thats just the way it smells. This didnt give my party confidence in the cleanliness of the establishment so we didnt feel comfortable trying the food even though thats what we came for. We ended up leaving.

Love to watch soccer here. The food and atmosphere are amazing. The only problem is the bathrooms are disgusting and the large bar smells like stale beer and piss on busy days. I wish they had a truly outdoor TV, it is difficult to see the current one.

Great local and Columbus Crew SC location. Amazing beer selection, seems to have interesting daily drink specials. Good location, decent menu - though we didnt eat during our visit. Would (and willdefinitely go again.

This was a rough scene. I found a dirty table outside for a friend and I and we took turns going to the bar to order (after waiting for several minutes because a few tables around us received table-side service and we were unsure if we would have a server or not. A server came and cleared part of the dirty dishes away but did not acknowledge me or come back for the rest.It took roughly 30 minutes for my order to be taken at the bar, and this was after I asked somebody who told me someone else would, and a girl sitting next to me had to point out to them that they’d skipped over me several times before taking my order. My friend’s food took an extremely long time to make it out to the table and I was nearly finished with mine despite that we ordered maybe 5 minutes apart. The food was delicious, and the beer was good. Customer service could use a clean up, especially at the bar.

The bar itself is fine the crowd is good in a nice area music isn’t bad. The staff is average not rude but not charismatic. The food for me the first time around was okay I got chicken wings they did the job (drunk). Now I ordered the other day just the food and it was very disappointing I was literally sent chicken tenders that where black/brown, soggy fries, and a burger with absolutely no toppings (when they were requestedI may give them another chance in the future

One of my favorite campus bars! Definitely an older (i.e. not underagecrowd. Love the rotating draft list. If you like sours, they usually have a new kind to try as their drafts rotate frequently. Food is decent for the price, but I usually only get it during their happy hour food deals. I recommend the sweet potato fries and the chicken wrap. The patio is a nice place to chill and theyre dog friendly!! Downsides are that the bathrooms are small and get messy and it can get crazy crowded which means mediocre service, but thats to be expected Wednesday-Saturday nights.

Close to the Expo Center, this place has the regular bar food. The house hamburger is good. The music is loud and the crowd is young. The service was friendly and fairly fast.

Best Happy Hour in town! Thursdays are $3 burger night and always get some Bosco Sticks

A bit of a walk from campus with stellar deals during the week-days and a nice patio area. Sometimes crowded and dirty but thats expected from an average campus bar. A really good place to watch soccer matches if youre into that.

Great place for a bite an a pint before a Crew game. However if you are over 30 you will feel pretty ancient upon arrival, college crowd mostly. Big selection of beer both draft and bottle at very low prices. Also your full range of off-campus mixed drink favorites. Plenty of TVs for watching sports, good sized patio so you can see or be seen. Parking is mostly street spots but the majority of the patrons walk up.

Great place to hang for sporting events especially The Ohio State & Columbus Crew related. Through the weekdays it can be awesome for a casual hangout after work or meet and greet for dates. A real lively social atmosphere for a lay your hair down kind of evening.

The one star is for the food. I was gonna leave a bad review about Mazen? But I realized I can’t control someone or tell someone how to run a business and how to treat people. I wasn’t here trying to get free food, I was here for a good experience since I haven’t been out with friends in a long time. The bartenders were awesome though. Good young hip atmosphere.

Horrible serviceStopped in as we were walking by for a bite and a drink. Grabbed a table inside, even asked the server if we seat ourselves or wait. She said yep, just grab any table you want, so we did. Sat there for over ten minutes and not one person even stopped to say hi.. or someone will be with you shortly. Just completely ignored by numerous servers that walked by us. Place was maybe half full at best. Plenty of staff on too and they werent that busy.If they are that unaware of their customers then I would imagine if you do get a server, they wouldnt be much better.. first impressions are everything in restaurants and this place stinks.

My favorite bar all throughout college. They have the best happy hour (1/2 off 4-7and a sweet beer selection. If youre into sports, theyve got TVs for all the big games. They even have a patio for those warm summer nights. The food is solid and the energy is great. Its even better on Crew nights

I hang out here with a buddy because he likes to watch soccer. They have a very good selection of craft beers here and a nice menu to make your selection easier for you. Ive only been here after work, usually on Mondays to watch a game. The happy hour prices are great, and the apps are pretty good. Service has always been excellent, my only gripe is the awkward smell of the place, which you dont notice after being there for awhile.

Many peoples favorite bar on campus. It is much more relaxed than bars on high street. People seem like theyre there to have a good time, not just get drunk. Its the kind of place you go to with friends to drink and laugh. They always have new selections on tap and the bartenders are fairly knowledgeable about their extensive drink list. Trivia every Monday night and half price appetizers on Tuesdays.
