Hopping cash-only diner serving homestyle American dishes such as pancakes & burgers in snug digs.
Great food and the perfect diner experience.
The only Gluten Free options they have is Gluten Free toast.
We came for breakfast as a large group of 14. They were very accommodating. The service was friendly and steady. Our food was hot and delicious. I have been coming here for many years and have always felt welcomed.
Good food.. pleasant staff. Only thing is they only take tips in cash.. no adding to your card.. would recommend them to anyone.
Service was slow. Same waitress served and checked out diners seated after us. After 20 minutes and a reminder she said she put in our order.
Came here for brunch twice! Amazing experience:food was very well-proportioned for the pricethe diner atmosphere was super neatservers were excellent and friendly
Another breakfast favorite love that it’s local to me waitstaff is so friendly the food is so good their home fries are delicious! Love the atmosphere good for a breakfast or family date
Everything about this diner was great. Delicious food, great service by friendly, attentive staff. Its worth the few extra miles to stop there.
Superb breakfast options and staff was very polite and cordial 😃
Nice classic diner. The food is tasty and the prices are quite good. The menu has a nice variety.
Been going since the 90s great breakfast place.
Food was very salty. Waitress was very accommodating. I have had much better Irish Benny.
Old time diner excellent food and service been coming here since as far back as I can remember always great
Delicious good and great service. Meg is a great server too. First time here but definitely will be back 😊
Pretty solid stop with history in Lowell. Pancakes were not as fluffy as other breakfast places which may be fine for some but overall positive experience.
The lady who took care of me was fine actually everyone was good, but other days there is a lot of racist white women there, old white women and than they wonder why you dont tip them nicely well thats why because the looks and the small gossip, like we are dumb and blind its sad, also when you ask for an Amlet with anything on it make sure you say make it light because you will get more of everything and a thin layer of egg 🥚 its annoying actually.
A place to get great Bennys so good to die for lol,The fun menu with street name such as Merrimack st (whichis an omellet w/ dice ham, cheese and onions. The blueberry muffins are so tasty.Beverly and Sue and the rest of the girls are very attentive. If your in the Lowell area your hungry go to 4 sistets.youll thank me later.very resonable prices from$10-13 a plate.
Awesome! True, vintage Worcester Lunch Car Company Diner! Our waitress was Beverly and she and the food were fantastic! Oh, and (according to a sign at the registerthey take credit cards now, but tips need to be in cash....check this place out!
If your going to have chipped beef on the menu do not use milk and mayo to make a gravy! Everything else was good but Jesus christ that was gross. Flour+butter= roux. Then add milk and a little gravy master or any flavor.
Really great dinner. Not good for dairy/gluten free, but they did what they could for me and took care to protect me.
Great prices & amazing people & service. Food is also great! 🤤🍽🥞🍳☕🥓🥛😎
I love to eat here when I have free time in the morning, food is delicious their banana walnut French toast is really good
One of the best breakfast places in the whole city. I love the atmosphere and the service is great.
We visited this diner while passing through the city and it was wonderful. We got to experience true Boston hospitality. A friend of the owner was so welcoming and introduced us to the owner, Tom. The two of them shared a bit of the city and diner’s history as well as the great work they have been doing for 30 years in the community. Tom also gave us several postcards and two mugs to take home with us. Thank you to everyone at the diner. We highly recommend a visit to this place!
The best breakfast in Lowell. No matter the wait either eating in or taking out is well worth it...the HAM is the BEST. Every order done to perfection!!! My husband eat here every Sunday for years. Never once our orders were exactly what we wanted.
Food was great; service, not so much. Our waitress walked past us no less than 25 times without looking up at or checking on us. It took at least 15 minutes to get anyone to get us syrup. After we got another waitress to get it for us, we were almost done by the time our waitress finally came up to ask us if we needed syrup.Despite the inattentive staff, we still liked the food enough to go back. Next time Ill just put syrup in my bag before I go, you know, just in case.
Great breakfast spot. The atmosphere is distinct for a diner. This location and its offerings provided me with satisfactory memories when it comes down to the sheer variety of what is being made.
My first time visiting Four Sisters Owl Diner, Lowell, MA. Wonderful. Great service, reasonable food price, hot, tasty food and great vibe. Cool place. GRITS REPORT: None. Sorry, grits are not served. But, this is a doable, go to place in Lowell. I will come back again when I am in the Boston area.
Had never been here before, but need a late breakfast before meeting up with some friends and the reviews were good.We weighed just over 10 minutes to be saved, which is what I expected on a weekend . The surface was very prompt and friendly , especially since I drink decaf coffee which is not the norm. The waitress was fantastic and the food was even better. Exactly what we need for a day out.
Its a diner - a classic one at that. The food is greasy classic diner food - and its fantastic. The potatoes are țhe best thing on the menu. Only way the place could be better is if they had biscuits and gravy (they dont have it).
My wife and I enjoyed the food here . The service was great . One thing I dislike was the coffee it wasn’t great for me . It was more water than coffee seem to me it didn’t have good water and coffee ratio .
My family has been coming here for over 10 years and this is no doubt the best breakfast place in town. Appears small but it has plenty space and tables. Brings you back to 70s-80s & the waitress and vibe is so chill.
Havent been here in almost 10 years, still the same great food and service I remember.
Good servive. My hash & eggs were excellent. Wifes omlette was okay. We both loved the potatoes. The girls: their chowder was great. One also got a chicken salad sandwich, which she loved. The other got a couple hot dogs, which were turkey dogs. Not so good. Waitresses were friendly and "on the spot." Cool, old-time environment.
Always a great experience. Great staff, very friendly and efficient. They do get very busy, so please keep that in mind if your server takes a little longer to ask for your coffee to be refilled or whatever. There is sometimes a long line/wait to get seated, but I promise the food and experience is well worth the wait.
So delicious! I have been coming to this diner for years and its also so accommodating. We didnt have a long wait but sometimes there is. This photo is or th banana french toast with walnuts
Four Sisters Owl Diner makes the best breakfast for anyone that comes to grab a bite to eat; from the locals to the visitors. I had the Lafayette st. Omelet and it was delicious! Me and my family will be coming here for breakfast the next time we visit👍👍
I absolutely love this place! their food is spot on. everyone is always super friendly and the food is fantastic. on the weekend mornings it does get a little busy sometimes but when you are able to grab a table... it is well worth the wait! Ive eaten here and gotten takeout and the food was just as good. this is a great place for some great food at an awesome price. you never leave hungry here.
Went here with a friend for brunch and got the Hungry Owl.Great food, great service. They take card, but bring cash for tips.
Portions are small. I got the hungry owl. The bacon tasted like cleaning products and the pancakes were super dry. Then the French toast was almost uncooked. The eggs bennie was good though. Hot and very well done. There was lots of meat on it. Overall, not worth the price. The wait staff was amazing though and super lovely.
Pretty cool retro environment base around an old metal dinnibg car with additional dinning space added. It is very cozy. The breakfast was served fast and hot. I am a tea drinker and they served a good bag for the tea not a cheap generic tea bag that saved them 2 cents. The location was not overly crowded probably due to the Corona scare. Service was adequate. Was a Dinners Driveins and Dives pick. Definitely worth trying
I LOVE DINERS to begin with, Four Sisters Owl Diner is the perfect place to stop for lunch or breskfast.Suoer coom spot, good food and amazing price!!!!!
Best breakfast place in Lowell MAThe Four Sisters Owl Diner is a primary resource in my neighborhood at just a short walk - lucky me! Ive eaten at the great place for years. I do have to cross either busy Dutton Street or jammed Thorndike Street to get there, and if I arrive for breakfast I can choose a Dutton Street Omelet, a Thorndike Street Omelet ... or omelets named after several other Lowell Streets. What do I love about The Owl? 1. Delicious, nourishing, authentic home-style food - at a fair price; 2. Friendly service, with a true family & neighbors atmosphere and conversations. 3. The structure itself ... the diner section is a genuine Worcester Lunch Car built (of coursein Worcester, Massachusetts My waitress for breakfast the other day - direct descendant of one of the four sisters. My chef, Dave - the best and always at the grill serving greetings and perfect orders, and loyal to the Merrimack Valley scene. I often sit at the counter (14 seats near the action at the grill, as Dave is expert.By the way, I can now pay the bill by credit card, but I leave a cash tip (easier). And there is plenty of parking in a lot across Favod Street from The Owl.I hope it is ok to quote a selection from a fellow Lowellian (Paul Marion): "Year-in, year-out the Owl holds its own in the city eatery competition. The formula is proven: good food, fair price, friendly service, familiar company, and distinctive setting. The Owl is a highly charged space with the intangible attractive quality that a special place offers. If a community had chakras, then the Owl would be a candidate for such a “force center” in the city. I don’t know if that vibe is sourced in the billions of words spoken within its walls over decades or in the embedded social magnet that keeps pulling people into its sphere. All I know is that you can sense it when you enter. Or maybe it’s just the mixed aroma of coffee and homefries?"
Food was good. Corned beef hash was fine. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Baked beans were a little under seasoned. Home fries were very good.
Great food, wonderful wait staff and the line chef was the best! Sit at the counter and talk to the chef, while he works. He was Speedy Gonzales, had some great moves and was extremely personable... 5 Star experience!
Great food great ppl.. Perfect for hanging out with friends and family
Excellent breakfast at a vintage dining car. A thick slab of ham and baked beans with my eggs. And everything youve read about their awesome home fries is true! I read another review that said cash only, however they had a sign posted stating credit cards accepted for the check, tips are cash only.
The food was ok, what I didnt like was the beacon was pre cooked from the night before, it didnt give the meal the complete freshness, I felt like someone left beacon behind and I had there seconds. The waitress was hot and friendly and refilling my cup, if it wasnt for the waitress it would have been a lower score.
The food is good, but the portions for the hungry owl were small. Friendly service.
Very good diner food. Fast Service. More seating than a typical diner. Parking can be a bit tough on the street, but there is a parking lot a few doors down. Servers are very helpful.
