We camp at FOY all summer, and every holiday we can. The owners are extremely nice. The campground and water is beautiful. The prices are very reasonable. We absolutely love camping at Fountain of Youth!

This is a must place to stay with your RV. A massive pool to soak in and very few people. Some shade trees .

Stayed four nights. The first night was extremely loud with people playing music and staying up talking. The place isnt huge, so despite being multiple sites away, it was easily heard. The other nights the main noise problems were the highway and train on either side of the camp. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot pool. It was cleaned mid week and was super hot after refill. Drinking Water had a hose taste. Sites were fairly easy to pull through and were able to fit a tent, camper, and two vehicles. Showers were a quarter for 2.5 minutes. Had a dog trail and seemed well kept and clean for the most part.

We had planned to stay 2 nights, but couldnt get out fast enough.Bathrooms dirty, campground run down. Thermal pool was nothing I would want to use. Not really warm water. One positive....gentleman who checked us in was very professional and nice.

Very disappointed with the condition of the park this visit! Very neglected , grass was dead, pool was horrible and needed to be cleaned badly! We have visited this park very often and after this trip we may not return! ☹️☹️☹️☹️

The Hot Springs are open, thats the best thing i can say about it. We waited for 40 minutes for someone to show up at the office to register us after I called for a reservation. You have to put a quarter in a slot to get 3 minutes in the shower. Not what I was expecting for as much as I paid. We left the campground to go to the State bathhouse for a better dip in the springs and free showers. Would recommend for emergencies only.

This place is beautiful! However we chose not to stay here cause it was to expensive, $45 a night for tent? Aldo told us we would most likely being sharing spots with several other occupiers. If you got money and like tight quarters check this out. They do have the hot spring there which is stellar. Ive experienced 3 owners now and how it has changed.

My family and I have supported the Fountain of Youth Campground for over 30 years. It is now impossible to reserve one or two nights stay as they have a three night only package. For those of us who work, this is not an option. I find it a very poor business decision and sad to think we, as long time supporters, will not be staying here any longer. Shameful and greedy of the owners I must say.

If you dont like being close to people and being friendly this park aint for you. I went here primarily for the mineral pool, all the friendly campers were a bonus. Yes the sites a a little small but most have plenty of mature trees for shade. Loved it and will stay again. And honestly if a train running past twice a day bothers you well I dont know what to say except that trains are cool.

Cute cabin but when your paying 140 a night you wanna be warm and comfortable. The heat didnt work and the couple lil space heaters didnt keep it warm at all. The beds were from the 70s and very uncomfortable. The place was dirty. The whole cabin was covered in cob webs. The walls and the window sills. I dont think they have cleaned a mirror in forever. The one in bathroom was covered in other peoples toothpaste splatter. All it would take is a lil TLC update the beds and make sure its clean and warm. Also they really should make a walking path from the cabin to the hot pools. Its just a grassy hill and someone is bound to slip and get hurt. Just make a lil gravel pat and maybe a lil hand rail on the hillside.

This was the best hot springs we spent time in for the healing factor. The people were awesome and made sure the campers were taken care of.

Love this place. Been coming here with my hunting group for the last 5 years. First 2 we camped in tents and/or RVs and the last 3 we rented the loft. I see a lot of silly reviews here. People complaining about showers not working or the fridge in the cabin was too small and it did not have a stove.. This is a camping lot people, not a 5 star hotel. If you need bigger refers and a shower, go to the Hilton! We love hanging out in the pool, the staff is always very nice and accommodating, I just cant say anything bad about this place. Thanks WIlley and the crew for a great 5th year and we look forward to next October!!

This was our 6th visit. Very disappointed the pool was very slimy and grubby. Its all very tired my husband was nearly zapped from electric box and he hadnt even plugged in the cable. It needs a huge over haul.. a good clean up and revamp. Rv parking is very on top of each other. Your neighbors sewer line is next to your picnic table. Its a shame. Having the pool right there is such a sell features

Pools were great to soak in. We rented the cabin and it was not worth the price. No stove, just a hot plate. A college dorm size fridge. Toilet flushed slow. Sink drained slow. Could hardly turn kitchen faucet. A ceiling fan with three lights, two were burned out. Swamp cooler on off switch didnt work and it was very noisy. TV didnt work. It is a cute cabin with alot of potential but needs much work and finishing touches. Like towel racks and screen doors for example.

I do not usually review an rv park based on a one night stay but this park was terribly disappointing! Laundry facilities were disgusting, dirty underwear lying between the machines. No hot water for washing clothes and the bathrooms were unusable and filthy! Their hot springs pool looked disgusting and seemed like people were using it as their bathtub rather than for relaxing in. The only great thing about Thermopolis is the State Park and it’s beautiful hot springs! Definitely worth seeing but this rv park is definitely NO “Fountain of Youth”!!

This is always a great spot to camp at. We love the hot springs and the environment. Camping spots are tight if you have large rigs. Recommend talking to them about your size. Otherwise a great spot to stay.

Very disappointed. Nothing like what we expected. Understand that this park has new owners and they have their work cut out for them. Campground has an unkept appearance. The showers were closed. Bathroom doors were not lockable from the inside, so someone could walk in on you. Pools did not look clean. Went down to the state park and it was spotless. Train very close. Woke us up as it sounded like it was right next to our motorhome. For $50 a night, it is overpriced. Would not stay again.

So we looked around before booking due to the terrible reviews on Trip Advisor. I would say- dont come here if nice showers and bathrooms are important to you. The selling point for us was having an on site thermal pool. We have 3 young kids and a pop up camper. We didnt use the showers (2 of 5 workand used the bathroom as little as possible. We do have a toilet in our rig. The bathrooms are terribly dated but seemed clean. Yes, the picnic tables need new paint or replacement. Not all sites have a fire ring. But the landscaping was trimmed and well kept. The mineral pool- yes its outdoors and uncovered so there is some algae on the stone bottom and insects along the edges floating on the top. This place has so much potential but is in need of cosmetic updates. Owners are super friendly and I think are doing the best they can. Definitely some areas that need a designers eye and some paint could go a long way. Overall we would stay again if needed. The state mineral pool is only open 8-1 and the pay use pools can get pricey.

Owners/ managers apparently take no pride in the place. Camped there in a small camper last week . Pool filthy compared to other hot springs pools weve been to. 2 out of 4 showers broken, womens bathroom hand dryer broken, one of clothes dryers broken Light on the hot springs fountain broken, which is supposedly the "main attraction". Nobody attempting to make repairs at all. DONT judge this place by the video on their website. You will be disappointed.

Something nice, the staff was very friendly. Theplace has a hot springs pool. Now...two trains go by during the night. I was sure that they were coming through our camper! After paying $45 for the site, showers are quarter pay kind. Only one roll of toilet paper in the womens 2 stall bathroom. Bathroom and showers were not a "fountain of youth ". We were desperate for a place to stay.

This place seems to change hands a lot, but the last time I was there, during COVID-19, I camped. It was my birthday, and it was cold, but Oh! I was in that water, that healing, holy water for probably 12 hours altogether. Looking at stars, probably even napping. And most of the time, I had it all to myself. I will always treasure that.

Had an amazing stay at Fountain of Youth. It can get super busy on the summer weekends, full of all ages. So call ahead. Also a huge kudos to Carl and his wife. They are a true asset to this place and hopefully the owners will ensure they stick around for many years to come. Kind, caring and excellent customer service.

Where do I start? If you are a camper, or RVing more than one night, after pulling in minutes before falling asleep, this is not the stop for you.We were greeted to a full septic tank 25 feet from our camp site. This was being pumped out and without warning our tent smelled like burritos left out on a carpet for a week. The showers backed up, so you paid a quarter for 2 1/2 minutes to stand in your own filth. I actually don’t recommend showering here at all. In the men’s bathroom, the single toilet stall had a half wall, making eye contact with a stranger a normal thing while squeezing out a log. The women’s bathroom had a stall with no lock and the hand dryer was not working. The hot spring pool area was nice and big. It’s cool having your own source in the camp. The trade off is no where to cool off and a sulfur smell if you are at the campsites. All the spaces are extremely tight. Tighter than any other campground I’ve been at. The only thing tighter was how much time you have left to finish showering in.The ground is not suitable for camping. Stakes bend 99% of the time. I’m leaving with 6 bent stakes. Not all the sights have a fire pit. Some do, others have a tree that doesn’t provide shade.Yes there is a train that comes by at 11pm to wake you up from falling asleep and again at 5am if you missed the first one. It’s 20 feet behind the tent spots, but I swear it drove over our site. There is no dark lights out policy. We had two street lamps pouring into our tent all night. I know this was designed for RVs, but if you are tenting it’s horrible. There was service or maintenance. The only garbage was in the far corner of the property. In order to come back, there needs to be an overhaul of the the facilities - showers and bathrooms, at a minimum.

This is a cool and underrated RV park. The amenities were great and we had a nice time playing in the Hot springs. John, The camp host spent an hour and a half teaching my son how to use his new fly rod. What a great experience. Thanks for the nice stay and keep up the great work.

Strong contender for worst campground ever. If it isnt the dirty facilities, the midnight train rushing through the campground (we thought we were going to die), then the early morning airplane arrivals at the airport will get you. We "woke up" at 5 and got out of there as fast as we could.

The owner, Willie Long, is so helpful, polite, accommodating and great disposition. Under his new ownership he is improving the park. Our stay was great. Not far from town. The hot springs pool is large and invigorating. He is in process of improving the showers.

Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!! The bath houses could use major updates-BUT it’s totally worth it having a hot spring right there to swim in and hang out to your heart’s content. Spacious camp sites, friendly people all around, and a train 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very friendly place. Owners/managers were very accomadating for our large group. We did a birthday party for child there. Picnic, swimming, and cake. Unlike other pool venues we were able to stay in one location to do it all. Very convenient.

Camp owner/host very friendly and helpful. We love going to Thermopilus for the hot mineral springs. Campground itself needs a lot of updating. Dryers in laundry room didnt work. All 4 of them. None with heat. Campers way too close together. Nothing special.

The website is deceiving as there is only one cabin at the campground. We booked it a month in advance. When we checked in, the cabin was occupied and we got a run down house which is not on the website. The outside was very rough and neglected. We had to wipe down the inside of the refrigerator and all the surfaces in the house. There was a dried mystery pile on the living room carpet (pet vomit??). The kitchen was the nicest part of the house and had been updated. There is no cable and the DVD player shut off multiple times through our first movie. We had to purchase one from the mercantile in Thermopolis. There is no AC andthe 100 degree August weather meant the windows had to be open the whole time. Some screens were either missing or had large rips. The sliding glass door that went to the little patio would have been nice to accommodate air movement, but there was no screen and the door itself was permanently fixed in place and unopenable. All the floors sloped one way or another. The hall floor had collapsed down several inches below the baseboard. The bathroom had been updated but the toilet was loose and moved each time you sat down. The bedrooms had no ceiling fans and the cheapest of cheap mattresses. There was a bug problem throughout the house. No grass or any improvements outside. Just weeds and dirt. No BBQ, no fire pit. A splitery picnic table and one wooden bench was all there was on the isolated patio you couldnt access from inside the house. The hot springs pools were refreshing but again no improvements or grass or tables with shade.

Dirty, unkept, looks like it has been abandoned for years. Should be shut down. Our family had to clean their own so-called cabin before they could even go in! Cabin, was nothing more than a run down old house, which could be nice if it had a little upkeep. Carpet was filthy , no air conditioning..... pretty deplorable to say the least!!!As we walked around the campground, there wasn’t a picnic table that you could even imagine sitting at, unless you wanted to leave full of splinters! Nothing in this place has been kept up for years… Dead grass and full of weeds! Shame on the people that run this place!

We were pleasently surprised! The hot spring pool on site was worth the price of admission. I read the reviews and i think its unfair when older campgrounds get poor reviews because of space between sites. Thats how old campgrounds are. They didnt need to accommodate pop outs and the huge setups of today. But we fit our 32 ft bumper pull with a slide out just fine. So if you can get past the tight space and just consider it part of the old charm then i think a good time will be had by all!

Cool family and pet friendly spot with huge hot mineral pools! We loved staying here in our RV and found it to be relaxing and easy. The owners were really accommodating and friendly. The sites are a little cramped and our picnic table area was right beside our neighbors dump hose so we didnt feel like using it. Our fire pit was right by our neighbors RV door so we didnt use this either. The second night we moved up towards the back near a bubbling hot spring with plenty of empty sites and space beside us where we enjoyed using our fire pit and picnic area. We are already planning a winter trip here!

The people who run this place are very nice, but it is funky and run down. Everything is shabby, broken and dirty. The train and highway are very noisy. The pools look gross. There is a beautiful, clean hit springs with showers you don’t have to pay for right down the road. Stay in another camp site and just go to the state run Hot Springs if you’re planning to travel to Thermopolis.

We had a great time staying here but the facilities need some TLC for sure. Showers were a bit wonky and only one was working. Bathrooms were pretty nasty but the pool was super nice. Great Location for a family reunion. Everyone was together, park is dog friendly and fees are reasonable. It was especially fun to meet so many people with the same name as me at the pool! Too bad Grandpa didnt come to the pool there was a guy with his name too!

Was quoted $30 night for tent, charged $35 night. Put in furthest site away from restrooms and pool even knowing we werent in a camper. Ramp into pool was extremely slippery seen a lady fall for second time, pools smelled as if chlorine had been added and they are supposed to be authentic mineral pools. Said they had wi-fi but we were never able to connect. Next to train tracks and it was very loud, campers checked out before we got there and had to pick up their left behind trash before setting up tent. Very disappointing for a weekend getaway! Wont be back!! Owner made it clear that my stay didnt matter because someone else would just take it... I am a local and would be part of the continued winter business... but not now.

Stayed one night. The owners have let the campground look something like a ghetto. When we checked in the owners never spoke. When we finished filling out the card he said youre all set ? Never told us anything to include or site number, we had to ask. Sites are very skinny and ungroomed. But for the experience of swimming in the hot springs 😂.Owners probably could show alot more professionalism in regards to the appearance of the property.

Very comfortable and easy going. We enjoyed our time so much we came back through on our return trip. The wildlife added a lot - we could watch a marmot from the hot springs pool. The scenery from the pool is beautiful, and we actually found the train kind of quaint. The staff were wonderful and made our stay even better.

Had a family reunion here with close to 20+ people. They reserved spots for us which was nice to be kinda all together. Grounds were clean and well kept. Even being full, it was quite with no loud night parties.. You do hear train and traffic. Pool was nice, kids loved it.

The owners are very friendly and were very accommodating. They let us check in after hours and lets us play fetch with our dog when the campsites were mostly empty mid day. The campsite are very clean. The picnic tables could use some work, but Im sure there is a lot of maintenance involved in taking care of that place. The showers are decent. Yes, they are coin operated but water to clean yourself and labor to clean the showers are not cheap. The cost of the campsite include admission in to the hot spring that is a walk away. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second visit. Last time we had a larger camper so we never had to use the bathhouse/bathroom. If I was to rate the place on the pools and the great owners it would be a five, but the bathrooms were just not acceptable. Three of five showers (which are an extra costwere out of order. We love the pools and the vibe so we will go back, but will continue to hope that the bathroom facilities improve.

This place was a total surprise to me as we pulled in. After looking on their website I was expecting something totally different! The pictures and information on the website must have been from 2009 when the website was copyrighted. It has really gone downhill since then! Most of the grass was dead, there were no trees or shade on the side of the park closest to the railroad. The people who are running the place escorted us to our site and seemed nice enough, but they really need to spend some time and energy into making this place nice again. The laundry room was filthy and cobwebs were everywhere. I didnt see anything modern about the restrooms or the showers. The so called bandstand is a storage area for miscellaneous things. The playground has not been maintained either. The store is not really open, but I guess if you contact the people in charge they will sell you ice or possibly rv supplies if they have it in stock. The hot springs pools were very dirty, but we still had fun in them. The owner was draining and cleaning them on our second night at the park. Its pretty much a 24 hour process so you might want to check that out. We missed out on a whole day of pool time because of that, but nice to know they are cleaning the pool every two weeks because not much else gets any attention. All in all our stay was kinda ok, but it IS NOT like what it is advertised as. Good thing we are "roll with the flow" kind of people. We tried to make the best of it since we were reserved to stay there for 3 nights.

We stayed here Memorial Day of 2013 in a tent. We brought our naughty dog with us and, during the cooler part of the day, left her in the tent while we enjoyed the absolutely amazing on-site hot spring pool. While we were in the pool, unbeknownst to us, the dog simply walked through the side of the tent to explore the campground for herself! Instead of the owners letting our dog wander or rousing us from our relaxing soak, they took our dog into their store (right near our campsitewith them and let her hang out with them until we returned! Needless to say, we were very embarrassed, but very grateful!
