Historic fort on an island with a walking path, palm trees & educational signage.
Amazing views. Great spot for pictures. The city is actually repairing this place to make it better. Great ocean views.
Not well kept.
Beautiful historical park.
Very nice place to visit
It was great but I wish I couldve got in and take a look inside the fort and on top of it I love my island puerto rico 🇵🇷
Great beach and views of El Morro! The fort on this beach was built around the time of El Morro in the middle of the Bay of San Juan. The island around it was built up in 1943 by the U.S. Military. A fascinating piece of history! Admission to the National park is $4, but totally worth it!
Beautiful place
Beautiful Island
Its kinda dirty. It used to be a very nice family beach but the Municipio never clraned it after María.
A small fortin comparing to the main one but this is the place I really wanted to see. Though it is small it is a strategic fort to collaborate with the big ones to cross fire at the coming enemies.Something here need to improve is there were a lot of trash everywhere like this place was abandoned.
This could be a nice place for a day out but the whole area is covered with trash and debris. The ruins were closed off. This saddened me to know an historic site is left to crumble.
Bellisimo!
Grandiosa vista hacia el Viejo San Juan!!!
Excelente lugar para un día de picnic. Soleado, bello. Se puede llevar caña para pescar. Lugar histórico y playa hermosa. Muy lindo.
This place gets visited the most during the weekends. There is a little fort called Fortin de San Juan de la Cruz that was built to help the defense of the San Juan Bay which is the biggest closed bay in the Caribbean. From here youll get a nice view of El Morro and the old wall in Old San Juan but most of the time the Fortin is closed.
Hermoso lugar.
Nice place.
Hermosa mi isla, nada como sus playas.
The history behind
Spectacular Amazing Endlessly Views
Better view of old San Juan Puerto Rico.
great
The fort is somewhat interesting, the beach & picnic areas are okay... But KEEP WALKING past the boat ramp, past the "enter at your own risk" gate, as FAR as you can go. At the point youll find a (recentlyabandoned fishing club and some beautiful, tranquil views that are definitely worth it!
Really nice building but not much old furniture left onsite
Great place
Nice place to vie a beautiful sunset.
One of the best place in PR
Beautiful Place!! Amazing!!💕My island is a treasure💓👍👍💓💕
A cool place to walk around with the family and explore. There is a small beach area, and many places to fish. Seems like the locals like to go on the weekend and ride jet skis, there is a boat launch towards the back area.
Amazing view
A must see
Excelente lugar lindo paisaje.
Went fishing by a historical place in Puerto Rico...
Beautiful, peaceful...
This little fort was part of the harbor defense system. Cannon fire from the fort and from Castillo San Felipe del Morro created a crossfire to protect the entrance to San Juan bay. It was bombarded during the Spanish-American war but survived. This little fort has a lot of history.
Its ironic that so many ancient ruins are so highly regarded in Puerto Rico. The modern ruins are way more interesting to me. Lots more of those all over the island.
If the fort was closed why would they charge you
Without a doubt dont waste your time going here. $4 to get onto the grounds and the fort was locked.
Very cool to see and walk around.
Historic
Beautiful view of San Juan and El Morro. This is an awesome place to take pictures of SJ and El Morro. It has a historical fortress, a beach and gazebos to spend the day. People also come here for fishing and jet skying.
Recommend seeing this fort prior to touring Fort San Felipe del Morro to get an idea of how far away it is from the big fort and how ti was instrumental in protecting San Juan (Puerto Rico).
Great park! But I suggest the entrance fee of this park should be combined with San Juan Historical Site, since they are related
