Fort Street Station - Restaurant in Boise, United States
Amazing. I was craving pasta tonight, tossed in olive oil and vegetables. Yummy! They have Hacker Pschorr Marzen on tap from Germany.
Great tap selection. I especially like the cod bites appetizer.
Best food in town. Really….and the service and owners are unreal kind!! Such a gem in Boise!!!!
What an amazing place! I want to say that its Boises best kept secret, but neighborhood folks are definitely in the know. The best things at Fort Street Station are always consistent: amazing food, the absolute best service, and a diverse menu where every single option is your new favorite you didnt know you needed in your life.Fair prices are always a surprise in the Northend, and its not only refreshing to find, but it helps restore your faith in our neighborhood goodness.I cannot say enough good things about Fort Street Station, except for that its a Northend institution to be praised, and I wish more places had their dedication to above and beyond service, great food, and great drinks (check out their thoughtfully curated rotating taps, artful cocktails, and amazing wine menu). They understand the assignment and deliver A+s all around.
Meatloaf was down right discussting. I have photos. The dogs wouldnt even eat it. They threatened to call the cops on me . I was trying to explain I am disabled and I cant just run over there and pay foranother meal.
Delicious food and nice staff!
Hands-down the best neighborhood bar and restaurant in the area. The staff are amazing and have been here for years, Suzy (one of the ownersis regularly on site and makes a point to get to know everyone and genuinely cares about the customers, Maddie is fantastic too. Ive never had a bad meal, never had less than excellent service, and have ALWAYS had the best time. Its my favorite place to stop for a dirty martini with a side of pickle juice and a side of Bloody Mary mix after a long day....which, by the way, they always remember is my go-to drink. I cant say enough positive things about this place. Im so happy thos small locally owned businesses survived the pandemic. Theyre a true North End gem. ♥️
I would say other than atmosphere this is 4.5 or 5 star place. Excellent food. We had the mushrooms and goat cheese for appetizer and I had the chicken chardonnay with risotto. Great dishes. Definitely should try
Ive been here many times since FSS opened and honestly this place has consistently great food and friendly, timely service. The owners Rick, takes pride in a wonderfully diverse and local tap rotation, and Suzy, who greets many tables as if you were a guest in her own home, clearly treat this place as a passion and not just a place of business.
Food and service are excellent. Our go-to place for a great dinner!
Great staff, great food! Thanks for the Long Island Ice Tea!!
EXQUISITE food and friendly staff.Went with my British grandparents and they heartily approve of the fish and chips, I loved the meatloaf, we devoured the bread pudding, and pretty much everything on the menu sounds delicious. Compliments to the chef on the flavors and authenticity of the cooking. We all thought we were back in the UK for a second. Definitely a place well return to.
Great kitchen staff and service! If Coconut Cream Pie is added to the menu, 6 Stars!
We have been here several times and the service as well as the food has been great. We really like to start with sriracha cod bites!
Atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. The service is amazing, especially at a time when everyone is short staffed. The risotto bites are such a great appetizer with wine. The NY Steak is perfectly seasoned and cooked to specification. THe salmon is just right. WE WILL BE BACK!
What a wonderful dining experience! The service from Shae was exceptional, and the three courses were a tasteful delight. From appetizer to dessert the food was an excellent representation of quality and flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the price point was modest for the portions and excellence with which the food was seasoned and prepared. This is a neighborhood establishment that invites you into their home and prepares the best damn meal you have experienced in quite some time. Thank you to the chef and staff for an incredible dinner!
Being from out-of-state, we were recommended to try Fort Street Station and without a doubt we were not disappointed! The service, excellent quality and selection of food and drinks is top-tier! The staff is friendly and very welcoming and the owners are more than willing to help answer your questions, and were very accommodating. You can absolutely tell that the owners take pride in their business and truly care about their customers. This is a Boise “hidden gem” and offers more than just a meal. I highly recommend a visit here if you get a chance. This restaurant will definitely be at the top of our list when we’re back in town.
Pesto pasta was amazing and all the staff and patrons were sweet to our kids. A great neighborhood restaurant 😊
Great place to eat. Excellent Food, Great Service, and very Friendly Employees.Highly recommend.....
I am impressed with this place! It is our current favorite clam chowder in the valley and my wife wont go there without an order of the cod sriracha bites, which are tender flavorful chunks of fish in a slightly spicy batter... Strongly recommend! I also enjoy the sausage and kale soup so much, I am truly torn between which one to order! The entrees have all been good and the fish and chips are a stand out as well.
Amazing restaurant with fresh food. If you love horseradish, get the fish and chips. The coleslaw had a hint of horseradish and so did the tarter sauce. Very unique and tasty. Sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection. The burgers were also amazing. Also, if you want a specific dish you see in google reviews, call ahead and ask if they have it. They got a new chef that doesnt make those dishes from older reviews.
The food is EXCELLENT...the service is AWESOME...and the atmosphere is wonderful! This is definitely my new go-to!
Had the burger and (special of the daylemon garlic pan friend cod. Food was tasty and the service was great, they went out of their way to accommodate us on multiple fronts. Sat outside and felt clean during these covid times :)
This place is great. The food is awesome, great service and reasonable prices. Im being my kids back here.
I ordered the sriracha cod ball appetizer and it appeared to be frozen. It tasted awful. I also ordered the Cuban Sandwich which does not taste or have any characteristics of a cuban sandwich. The sandwich taste of Mexican spices. Very disappointed
Always a great selection of beers and cocktails. The menu has some terrific selections, always well prepared, the service is super friendly, and it has a great, North End neighborhood vibe. Its among my favorite places in Boise.
Really good food! Cod with lemon sauce and fall vegetables was tasty, fish and chips were very good, and the philly cheese steak was excellent! Nice little local neighborhood bar and grill.
Great food!Loved the Grilled cheese sandwich with the Butternut Squash Soup!Loved the chill environment.
My first visit for lunch. Very nice wine selection, lots of tasty menu options. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, it was very good. Went next door to the co-op wine store afterwards, you should too.
This place is the greatest restaurant ever. 6/5 stars if I got the chance. The servers are nice and you can diet by getting a lettuce wrap instead of the 400 cal pretzel bun which is amazing if you ask me.
Liked it here. First timer! Had the lemon battered cod. Very tasty! Comes with steamed veggies and the sauce in the bowl really added to the taste. Id come here again for sure!
Wonderful place to eat. Excellent food and great atmosphere. Excellent service from friendly caring people.
A good selection on tap. And involving great menu. Great staff who are friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to eat here for weekend brunch, or lunch or dinner any day of the week. You wont go wrong.
I love this place!! Went there for brunch with some friends. We all really loved our meals. Drinks were good too, but a little overpriced.
Really amazing place. We had some dietary restrictions and the waiter was super awesome in making sure everything fits our needs. Food is superb too. Will definitely go there next time I visit Boise.Highly recommend if you are vegetarian
Great service. Fun atmosphere reminiscent of a friendly neighborhood pub. Rick and Suzy know how to make you feel welcome. Wonderful beer (rotating selections)and wine offerings. Appetizers are excellent, especially recommend the cod bites, and broccoli bites.
Love this place! Great atmosphere, food and cocktails. The staff is wonderful and the owners are the best. Highly recommend Fort Street Station!
We frequent often. The owners are amazing and work alongside their team. The food is always good, and it can be hard to decide what to get sometimes.
Wonderful atmosphere, excellent beers, good food and very friendly service. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The fish and chips are delicious and its a very large portion.
The service is super fast and friendly, and the food is reasonably priced. Definitely try the tomato basil soup and veggie grilled cheese on sourdough on a cold day!
Yummy food. Fish is amazing. So is Cuban sandwich
Had lunch here a couple days ago. Very very good food. We had the risotto bites appetizer which were perfect. The fried chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was some of the best Ive had. The fries were good but not anything special. And we had the turkey cranberry pecan wrap which was amazing. I dont usually like wraps but the flavors were perfect together. Usually when I get something with cranberries they overwhelm the other flavors but not this one. The pecan flavor was present in every bite. Will definitely be going again. I did think the kids meal prices were a little much, we like them around $5 but since my child is only two he shared with us since we had plenty of food and it worked perfectly.
These guys are our fave. Always great service and consistently delicious food. These peeps have it figured out. Thank you for many great meals!
The food and service were fantastic! Large portions filled us up so that we didnt have enough room for dessert.
I was looking for someplace new downtown close to where my husband goes to physical therapy. Did a search while I was waiting for him and found Fort Street Station. Looked up their Facebook page. I was happy I did! I found a rice, vegetable and choice of meat or seafood bowl. This is not on the menu yet. The Food was Devine! Staff was amazing! Will definitely be back soon! Will have to bring my daughter she will love the rice bowl as much as me!
Great place for a good meal. Simple menu but done really well burgers wraps salads and soup, beer and wine also. Great service I certainly recommend it.
Small local restaurant that uses the Boise CoOp to create their meals! Highly recommend the Veggie Grilled Cheese and the BEYOND BURGER which is vegan friendly (this is coming from a picky and non vegetarian/vegan eaterIf youre looking for a quaint intimate setting with amazing food you wont be disappointed!!
Great atmosphere and always nice to have another option in the North End. Unfortunately, my experience as a vegetarian here was uninspiring - there are many terrific restaurants in Boise serving vegetarian burgers for ~$9 - Fort Street is charging $14 for what appears to served on a store bought bun, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I appreciate that theyve sought out a unique option not found elsewhere in town (Beyond Meat), but its not justifiable when other places in town blow this option out of the water for nearly $5 less.
My wife and I went here for dinner. They serve pub type food. I had the French dip. It was very simple, deli roast beef and a store bought hogie roll. My wife had the lettuce wraps and she was left uninspired as well. I feel like this place is similar to so many other restaurants in town. Its just the other places do it better. Chances are we wont be back. There just wasnt anything about it that made us excited to be there.
OBSESSED is an understatement! Ive been to Fort Street Station for lunch and/or dinner almost everyday since the restaurant opened! The food is amazing (the BEST chicken strips Ive EVER had), the beer and wine list is incredible, and the atmosphere is perfect! The owners, Suzy and Rick, are the sweetest people Ive ever met. They stop by our table each time we come in with a warm welcome and they always remember us. The waitstaff is incredible as well! Weve had Carlie as our server and she is just wonderful and always so friendly! The patio is dog friendly which is amazing, because you dont see a lot of restaurants anymore where you can enjoy your meal with your pup by your side! The patio has overhead fans and misters, which are great on a hot day! I absolutely love this restaurant, and would give it more than 5 stars if I could!! Its such a great addition to the North End!
