Park people very friendly and knowledgeable, we had a great time.
Definitely a nice place to visit. The tour is really nice, we learned a lot about the life people lived here long time ago.Kids can touch and try things in the showroom too.
Great little park with lots of history. The park staff was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly.
It was fun
Absolutely beautiful and amazing place!
Great place to learn a bit of our local history. The Bannock was tasty as well.
Interpreters are friendly and great with kids, especially large groups. Very knowledgeable and well trained and also have a passion for the history of the place.
I love the dig. We love coming back every year.
Had a great day. plenty of trails etc plus a tour of the fort, excellent.
Eye opening history!
Enjoyed our tour
The European perspective is foremost, our first nations ancestors were a proud and healthy nation!
Candlelight tour was great.
Awesome experience, fantastic friendly staff!
Horrible!! The walking path has not been maintained, it is covered in debris and poison ivy. Took our grandchildren there yesterday and we were stung by bees that had built a nest under one of the boardwalks. DO NOT WALK DOWN THIS PATH! Very dangerous.
The government of Saskatchewan needs to increase funding to this place
So informative, the history for Saskatchewanians! Go there now! And covidfree!
Hey guys just drove out there today from Saskatoon based on the we;bsite information that the park was open 9-5 but the gate indicated itwas closed for the season. Can someone please advise why the website does not reflect reality. thanksNeil
Beautiful historic location
Incredible place to visit. I really not much of museum person but this is one place I ave visited more then once. I thought it was cool and had to go back for my kids to see and hear about our history. Very cool place this is a must see for anybody.
Interesting and important local history, nice museum, great area.
Not a lot of shelter in a storm but was fun and the hands on with the pelts was great! Very interesting and the staff were great!!
Beautiful natural beauty and full with historical resources
A beautiful little walk through history and yummy bannock on a stick! Very affordable to visit.
Very interesting look back into the past.
Great tour, our history starts here.
Very nice. Busy at times
Interactive and interesting
My experience at Fort Carlton was amazing. It was quite and everything was accessible
Love this place. After learning from the interpretive guides, a walk down to the North Saskatchewan is essential to appreciate the importance of the location.
Really enjoyed taking the kids to this Fort. Not very busy and a nice reminder of Canadas fur trading past. Got to use flint to make sparks, touch all kinds of different animal fur. They were making bannock outside and everyone got to make their own over an open fire. Great little museum inside and top notch tour guides.
Revisited after 20 years. The girls were amazing! The tour was so nice and we learned alot. Great for the whole family including little kids. They have nice hands on displays and you can walk around the top of the fort which has a nice view. Well worth a visit!
Very nice. takes you back in time
I recommended a trip to Fort Carlton to learn history of HBC and relationship with our First Nations people. More on Treaty 6 there. Informative trip, friendly staff, picnic spot, and small hike to the river makes the visit memorable. Bannock and berry leaf tea served near a tippy made visit even memorable.
Fort Carlton is the best tour and historic site. Love going every year with the school.
What wonderful staff! Informative, respecful and so helpful to the point that Al actually had an Electric scooter/chair bought out for my husband to use Al, Rowan, Barb, Mercedes and those of you l have missed from 3 very grateful seniors who had a lovely afternoon. Walter & Ann Goy Yellow Creek Sk,Linda Hitchins.
Very knowledgeable people working in each building. Lots of shade for picnics. Great place to take grandchildren for history lessons.
Beautiful way to learn history. Very clean.
Had some good bannock, great informative guided tour and some decent trails.
Very informative tour given by staff on location
We had a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable and his stories really added to our visit. I really enjoyed my visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed visiting this old fort and learning some of the history behind it and the people.
Although we arrived late, staff were happy to show us around as they closed up. The drive in seems way off the beaten path, but the museum shows how this site was once a key hub on the trade routes. Tip: if you are continuing west or north, learn more about the history & wildlife by taking the nearby free ferry across the N Saskatchewan River near Wingard to follow the Riverlands Heritage Preservation route (good gravel; well-signed).
