Forster Noodle Bar - Noodle shop in Forster, Australia
Came here with family. Ordered the Nasi Goreng, Honey Chicken, Roti Chennai, Char Kway Teow, and Prawn fried rice. I was very very happy with all of the food. You come here for the food rather than service. I will definitely come again.
We went last week, budget but still good food with asian dishes varieties, malay, vietnamese, chinese, small shop inside the arcade, have water view is a plus.
Friendly customer service, great food
Up until now have had nothing but positives to say about this restaurant , they have put up the prices over the last 12 months and as of 19/08/22 when receiving our order that was delivered the containers are noticeably A LOT smaller $25.80 for a meal that was previously around $20 and now not even receiving as much , will be the last time this is EVER ordered
Fresh, and delicious. 💙
Went there with my mum two days ago, good food and service.
Threw both noodle dishes in the bin. Rip off prices for the sludge they sell. A packet of two minute noodles tastes better.
Are you feeling a little down? Maybe you’ve had a rough day. Well look no further then this delicious, tender food that’s sure to put a smile on your face. These guys know how to cook, they will turn your frown upside down with a mouth watering dumpling, or maybe some chicken skewers. Well done for creating not just good food, but a fantastic experience.
Very tasty food and a pleasant place and the staff are nice!
This place used to be great value for money. Fantastic nasi goreng and very good Malaysian dishes. Perhaps too broad a menu and poor attempts at thai food. Sadly they made a massive increase in prices. Restaurant prices for a takeaway place. In the past i would always take visiting friends here but no longer. Very sad to lose a favoured option to financial greed. At the old prices i would give this a 4 or 5. Now very overpriced
Absolutely disgusting I orderd creamy garlic chicken tasted like sugary milk my husband got combanation bbq was horrible his been so sick since we think he has food poisoning
Incredibly popular take away on the river near Red Spot boat shed. Food straight off the wok and into the take away container, as fresh as can be. So delicious, will be back the next time we are on the Mid North Coast.
One of THE worst Pad see-ewes Ive ever had.So many noodles, so few vegetables. The veggies didnt taste fresh.
It’s a small take away restaurant, good food but some time we get wrong ordersSome dishes are very costly, they have reason for it but not genuine. The boy who is in counter is some time but rude but he is only a young boy.Over all nice food, love the taste and will visit often.Recommend this place if you like Malaysian, Chinese food.
The Char Kuai Teow was authentic, delicious, and was a large serving. Would be great for a take-away and sit by the water.
Ordered through there new website and waited 1h and 30min for my food when I called them they hadn’t even started preparing and told me it was another 45min wait. No food is worth waiting over 2 hours for!
Ordered a v5. Vegetarian shallot and ginger stir fry. Got noodle soup instead. You cannot call this a stir fry. Everything is swimming in flavoured water. Tofu tastes like raw egg. Barley any vegetables. Friendly staff, juts not great food. Would not recommend.
Easily best noodle place in town!Every dish so full of flavour and never disappoints. Mixed fried entree just perfect and not drowning in oil. The Malaysian Ipoh dish (which I still cant pronounce the full nameis the best dish hands down for me 😋👌🏽Yet to try a bad dish 👏🏽 Any time Im in Forster I cant not pay this place a visit.
Best noodles Ive ever eaten and the nasi Goreng is amazing 10 out of 10
As soon as this place gets busy they put a 9yo child on the phones and you get there to pick food up and your order isnt a bit wrong, its not even there?! They frantically ask what you ordered and then add you to the 45 person line again.
Don’t go here - extremely long wait times for inauthentic tasteless food. I ordered the Pad Thai which was overwhelmingly sweet. The pho was just meat and noodles no bean sprouts/lemon/mint. Workers looked extremely young (around 13 years oldand exhausted. Please save yourself the torment.
Disgusting and filthy place. I was overwhelmed with a sense of unquenchable thirst after having dinner here. The food is definitely not authentic and has been westernised in a poor attempt to suit local tastes.I recommend to steer clear of this place.
Open 7 days. The only shop opens on Xams, nice food and quick service! We like it, thanks!
They have a huge selection to choose from. The food is pretty good but nothing special. There Located right in the wharf so you can get take away and seat outside .
Great food, always fresh, very well priced fantastic service number 1 local spotbqq pork highly recommended thankyou for your efforts
Ordered 2 different dishes, 1 dish with no onions, no shallots, extra hot. Came with onions and shallots, but no extra heat. Other meal ordered was combination mee goreng, received combination chow main.
I ordered the vegetarian cashew nut with rice and it didnt have any flavour, it was like steamed veggies with rice that you can cook at home. Very disappointed. Probable the worst Asian food that I have ever ordered...
They need to reduce their menu and just focus on cooking what they are good at so it isnt so hit and miss for the uninitiated. Ordered a chicken dish and beef dish both came out tasting like they were cooked on different sides of the same wok, boiled instead of fried, really wet, chewy and gamey meat, tasted a bit green. Shame because it smelt good from the outside.Maybe it was an off day.. wouldve been willing to give them another chance, but anyone can easily make better at home, price was too high for this quality so.... nope.
Its not a fancy restaurant, but for a takeaway place, 5 stars are deserved, especially in this area... Food is good and the portions are big, prices are reasonable and the service is quick and friendly. This is our go to place for take away. The food is not super authentic, but fresh and yummy, and does not give you a headache, like some other Asian food places do.I wish they had an online ordering option, calling on the phone is so 2010...
The food here is great at very reasonable prices.. A big range of Asian cuisines available. You can order by phone. They have pick up and take away. Outside covid they have easy in but its very basic. Disabled parking and access. They are very happy to respond to requests for no this or that. The home delivery is super quick and free if your order is over $35 (check that). Or you can pick up and walk outside and sit beside the lake to eat. Yummy!
Fast, yummy menu and great value , our kids love the steamed dumplings and special fried rice
I love Forster, and what topped it off was the delicious food we had at this restaurant. It’s just a hole in the wall type takeaway shop, but I absolutely could not fault the food. Coming from Sydney I’m spoilt for choice in different cuisines. But if I had this as an option here it would definitely be one of my regulars!! Good stuff guys :)
The pho soup was nothing but tough meat and noodles. Not a green leaf amongst it. Was absolutely terrible and flavourless.
Even their supposedly most spicy noodle tasted way too sweet. Chicken fried rice was pretty good though.
Great food...loved everything..very popular.. so quite busy but excellent results..enjoyed..👍
Best fried and steamed dim sims Ive had. Try the special fried rice. Yum.
Revolting. Salt n Pepper calamari was like eating pure salt. Garlic King Prawn noodle dish was a complete rip off. 7 prawns on a bed of dry tasteless noodles. Never going there again.
Great quality food, A diverse Selection, Generous Servings, Very Reasonable price.
I am not a huge fan of Chinese food given sometimes it can be heavy with amount of oil but this place was ON POINT! My partner and I wanted something quick but still yummy and affordable asian food in town for dinner. This was perfect choice. We ordered sweet and sour pork and Singapore Noodles. The portion and amount of topping were great. Def will come back to try different dishes for more. Happy tummy customers :)
Delicious cheap & cheerful noodle spot. Cooked to order & generous serves. We tried the satay chicken noodles & Singapore noodles - both good! Great to take away & enjoy at a look out for a tasty lunch with a view.
Good for quick lunch or take away. Best dish Ive tried is salt and pepper calamari cooked perfectly. The other dishes I like chicken pad see ewe and roti chennai. All these have authentic great flavour. Fresh generous portions and quick. Cant wait to try more dishes. Yum
Great menu, great portion size, great taste, great staff, very prompt ordering to recieving dish, was about 8 mins, and that was at about 5:15pm..
WARNING discusting vile garlic prawn noodle swimming in yuk. Food looks nothing like pictures on wall.. manager very rude and untrustworthy. ..staff cannot speak english..sad because this place used to be ok
Food value and flavour was mixed. The rainbow steak (no. 60was tasty but not actually steak. The Malaysian steam veges (no. 101were tasteless and had neither cashew nut nor chilli or tofu in it. Very disappointing. Spring roll and samosas were alright but clearly from a frozen bag.The worst part was the home delivery. It took 1.5 hours for our food to arrive even though we were informed that it would take 40-60 minutes. When the food arrived, only after calling them about why it was taking so long, the entree sauces were all over the bag as their containers cracked open en route. They had their good moments, but the disappointing ones really dampened the experience.
My family and I stopped into the noodle bar for lunch. I ordered the char kuai teow. The service was prompt and the meal was tasty. Almost as good as what I am used to in Brisbane. Would recommend.
The food here is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. Its basically a takeaway, but you can eat in. Its certainly nothing flash but the food is wonderful.
For years this place had the best Pad Thai but over the last few months it has seriously lost its touch. The Pad Thai now has a grainy texture and it an odd combination of dull flavours
The flavours were amazing! Great fried rice & loved the Mongolian beef.
Perhaps we went on an off night as the locals highly recommend this place but we found it to be quite tasteless. We ordered four seperate meals, all different, and all tasted very bland. We were quite disappointed
Large tasty meals at quality prices... Try the sambal if you like it spicy.
