Sindia, Senegal, Fatick
Safari park with giraffes, rhinoceroses, zebras & other wildlife, plus a restaurant & gift shop.
I went with a tour guide which was way more than its worth. The Bandia Reserve was ok. Not a lot of animals to see as on other reserves. I am disappointed the park did not have a package deal to include the lion park across the street or the reptile aquarium inside the reserve. Its a nickel and dime type of operation. Its not safari title worthy, but still something to do with the kids.
Its a great experience full of adventure.. I loved it so much
Nice place to spending one day.
We added the Safari to our trip at the last minute through Fallu (our guide), who set everything up while we were on the way. What a great experience. We had an elder in our group so we were not prepared for anything to exciting. Bandia offers just enough variety of wildlife to give you the sense of excitement without the fear. Our merry little band had two groups with two translators speaking English & Italian. They were both great!
Amazing day with some rain and luck to see all the animals in the reserve..
You get the chance to see different animals like warthogs, crocodiles and hyenas
Best safari
Bandia is good place in senegal, should be visit
Beautiful Park
Best place for enjoying with family 👪
Had a great safari. Saw lots of animals. The food at the restaurant was awesome too. The staff were super helpful a d friendly.
Lot of animals, no predators but still great fun
Amazing place to go with family, kids and friends
Nice experience, very well organized
Very nice, the enmel heve a good life in this area.
Perfect place for animals, they feels like at home. Giraffes are beautiful, two sad rhinos out of love, lots of monkeys, antelopes. Guide is professional Im glad I was there
For the first contact with safari it was a good experiencie. To look the animals, the beobabs and other vegetations . The colour of the land red is beautiful .
Great place! We saw lots of animals and our guide spoke English well.
Just amazing !! 😍😎
The best time to visit is before noon. Distinctive Senegalese animals like the black masked antelope and the stripped hyena can be found in this resort. Other animals were introduced from other places, like the giraffe and the wide lip rhinocheros. The resort main attraction are the baobab trees, endemic species of the region. Cleanliness is average and the food quality is standard.
Everything is there wich possible
Wonderful day spent viewing wildlife! Wonderful food for our lunch. I highly recommend!!
Worth a visit! Guide was friendly and informative he spoke both in French and in English. Tasty food but took a long time to serve. DONT feed the monkeys!
Had a nice experience exploring the reserve and seeing the animals. Tour guides were very nice and helpful.
Highly recommend! Very personalized tour. Entrance prices are odd because you have to add on for a guide and a vehicle, theres no way you could walk the whole thing, its too big. Still the price was extremely good with all that.Pope was our guide. He was very thorough, informative, educational with both the Safari animals and nature history as well as commentary about Senegal history in general. We were surprised to learn there are no Lions there. But the tour was just as good without them. All the other animals are hanging out right on the main path. Never a dull moment.Pretty amazing to be within 5 to 15 ft of these beautiful creatures. They seem very happy and peaceful and content. Nothing in cages.Be sure to visit the very unique gift shop or have a beverage or meal at the restaurant. Watch the monkeys there, shy at first they will go for your bags though! We will definitely return!
The safari was good. Great food but it would have been nice to see some predators like lions since it is a safari.
Very Nice Experience 😊😊😊👌
Amazing park! Excellent guide, happy and free animals and the food at the restaurant was exquisite!
Very nice park with many animals , the restaurant is good as well
This is a great place to visit. The guides are well knowledgeable about the animals and area. The highlight for me was seeing the human remains in the baobab tree. The history of culture on how they came to be there is fascinating. After the trip around to look at the animals we went back to the restaurant where I enjoyed a Kudu burger and I must admit it was amazing.
10/10 would recommend !!!if you know it can handle the pathways inside the reserve, bring in your own bc otherwise you gotta pay more. the staff is very friendly and you can get to see a lot of animals !the restaurant is pretty nice and so is the small shop !
Lovely place close to Dakar. Perfect to experience a safari. Well done to the park staff for also observing proper COVID19 regulations and ensuring a safe and enjoyable visit. We will definitely return.
Its a very nice Safari park, where animals are set free. You literally walk and encounter all types of animals from squirrels to rhinos (dont get too close lol). Its mainly divided in two sites. One for exploration in 4x4 and discovery, and another which is more luxurious and has a ranch filled with an amazing swimming pool and private lodge if you ever want to stay the night and wake up around giraffes 🦒.The place is kid friendly, has suitable amenities and is protected by rangers all time. The food is top-notch. You should try their Pizza 🍕 (wood-fired). You wont be disappointed !
It was nice reserve, a bit sparse on animals.. People should know there are no big cats or elephants here
Great place to see animals in their natural habitat.
Most animals are brought in from other parts of the continent so it’s not really a reserve but an animal park. They have a couple of rhinos, giraffes, monkeys are everywhere, warthogs, a few zebras, ostrich’s, antelope, water buffalo, birds are cool, And hyenas in a pen. But don’t expect the same type of safari experience as found in south and east Africa.
Beautiful reserve with wonderful baobab trees and many wild animals
I love this place this is my third time but It always feel like it’s my first time going in there.I love the vibe and the guide that was given to us was absolutely amazing he did great !
Dont keep your expectations too high but its nice place for local Safari in Senegal. Theres resto u should try pizza. Be careful for thief monkeys and hungry crocodiles ;)
A great small scale Safari, with a restaurant. We took our own vehicle and the guide sat in the passenger seat to keep watch and direct us where to drive for best views. We went as soon as they opened so it was cool enough for the animals to be out and about. It was wonderful to see giraffes in their natural habitat. Use to humans but still wild enough not to approach the vehicle. Definately recommend it. !
This was so cool! Got lucky enough to see all the animals and the guide was giving loads of information. Big up!
We had a good guy - Pape.. He managed to show us all the animals and wasnt shy to spit some knowledge about them.Really enjoyed it.
You can see a lot of animals here without them having to live in cages (though remember that many of these animals are not native to West Africa). You can take your own car (which must have a place for the compulsory guide), but you will probably get a better view of you use one of the parks vehicles. As the smallest one has 11 seats, and costs CFA 40,000, its good to see if you can share it with other visitors). This place is close to the Baobab climbing experience, so you can combine a visit to both places.
One of the must-go place in Senegal. Lots of animals, antelope, giraffe, rhinoceroses, zebras etc. They have tour guides that speak good English and know their job.Somehow expensive prices
A perfect place to be IN.. if youre gonna plan your family outing!! Its great feeling to see these wild creatures roaming free, rather than kept in cages (which Im strongly against of).. Well and hats off for the staff there, too cooperative.Yeah its a bit costly for Expats, but worth the dime!
Employee comes with a sling shot to keep monkeys away from restaurant, five minutes later same guy puts bread out for monkeys to impress two female tourist, right in front of do not feed sign. Lol, SMH.
One of the best wildlife reserves I have visited. Many variety of animals, and I think we saw them all. Well kept grounds. The guide was fantastic!
You can see a lot off africans Animals besude predators. Nice trip, nice guide, nice story
It is a nice place. A nature reserve with few kinds of big animals. Rest assured that you will see some animals during your safari there. I saw ostriches, rhinos (2), giraffes, anteloppes, zebras, gazelles, monkeys, buffalos and very beautiful birds in addition to the very nice and interesting Baobab trees. The staff and guides are nice and friendly.
This place is so cool! 10,000 hectares, and youre sure to see something amazing. There were wild animals at every turn. Ive never been so close to such majestic animals. Add this to your visit next time youre in Senegal.
