Such a beautiful place to visit, and so close to the city! Easily accessible with public transport, with just a short walk at the end (5 minutes). Lots of wildlife, and very well maintained. There was also free toilets located in the botanical garden area

My name is Camilo, and I contact you to make an important observation.Me and my mom visited the forstbotanischer-garten a few days ago, and we found it extremely beautiful and well organized, it was an amazing place to visit and enjoy nature.As we walked through, we found the tree from our country, COLOMBIA, and we were so happy with that, we took pictures, videos, and we had a small picnic under OUR tree. Nevertheless, as i got home, I investigated the tree we had seen, and what a sad surprise, the tree that was supposed to be Colombian, Liquidambar styraciflua, was actually “a deciduous tree in the genus Liquidambar native to warm temperate areas of eastern North America and tropical montane regions of Mexico and Central America” it is Not a Colombian tree.That is a huge mistake for a well-recognized botanical garden as yours.I hope you correct that mistake in order to make it better and that this observation finds you well.I appreciate your attention.Kind regards, Camilo.

The Frechener Bach was only a canal. Then it was to be renaturalized, but it seems to be more like a flood area nowadays. There is no water in there. Only when it rains much.

One of the nicest parks in Cologne. Large kids playground. Also very nice for picknick. No barbeque allowed.

This garden is recommended for all those who want to go for a walk, jog, take the kids to play, watch sunset and enjoy the nature. There is an open gym to do sports. Also there is a garden inside which is open between 9 to 6 everyday. There are peacocks inside along with various flowers. The entire garden has trees from different countries. It is one of the best place to walk around and enjoy the weekend, evenings.

A Fantastic place to spend an evening with your family. This is a kid friendly place with play grounds and picnic spots. If anyone is interested in Dendrology, the garden is constituted with trees from around the globe.

Beautiful place to walk or run or wander around the maize of footpaths in the wooded gardens with the peacocks and other wildlife.

A lovely place to have strolling here, under the mature trees, between blooming flowers (if you come at right seasonswith several buildings as places to perform events and themes related to the botanical topics or origins, such as tropical and subtropical plants, and also cactus house coming from arid desert lands, with attractive fountain and water streams flowing on stepped channel, with cafe next to the main building. It is a free attraction, not need ticket to visit. However, the next adjacent area to this park is Zoo and Terrarium, and you need to buy ticket to see this Zoo

Started at the wrong end and just saw a gigantic field with a large playground and a few labelled trees around the edges. But we walked further in to find the gardens proper. The rhododendrens are in full flower now (May dayand are well worth seeing.

Amazing place for visit. Nature, forest, trees and even peacocks are beautiful. There is much place for picnicking or outdoor games. Would definitely recommend.

Really well done forest garden. Very cool how they have laid things out by plants which grow on certain continents. Theres even a redwood section!

Nice Park and Garden. A lot of memories strolling in the garden. Now I have to stay out as I have a dog. Park around is dog friendly.

Lovely downtown botanical garden and park. Good to walk through inside. Around this botanical garden there is a big park. It’s very good for joggers and walking people. It’s also good for meditation and also using as small games. Some people using this park for barbecue. Which make sometime messy there.

A huge but very lovely park - my latest beautiful encounter in Cologne. Eventhough the location isnt as strategic as the Sculpure Park or the Flora, this park is a must visit. Not only perfect for a long weekend walk and family refreshing but also a fantastic scenery for the joggers.NO ENTRY Fees and well maintanced!
