Food court - Restaurant in Taiping, Malaysia
Lots of choice to have a meal, delicious and affordable.......
This place is such nostalgic place to eat. I ate Kuetiau Goreng at this hawker. But I forgot the name of the stall. It side to the church and the only Malay stall. The kuetiau is so delicious. The Mountain for the Chinese stall is good too! This is a must go places in Taiping
The location is convenient, you can find different kinds of local food here with good prices.
Many food stalls, good price and delicious popiah.
Suprised that non of reviews abour encountering rats. I came here with my parents the first and this will definitely be the last time. We saw two big rats running below the tables. Yikes
Definitely a must go when you come Taiping.Lots of good food here.
A Hawker Centre in Taiping which offers local choice of halal and non halal food and drinks at reasonable prices. I choose the popular Fishball Kway Teow frm Stall no 63 which was quite tasty. Also tried the popular Taiping drink “Ho Kar Sai” (a combination of Milo and coffeewhich was sweet but a really ‘kaw’ drink! Street parking available around the hawker centre.
Need to improve the hygiene. Require periodic pest control to prevent the rat running here n there while the customers r eating. Scary!!!
Nice wantan mee but area is quite dirty. Coffee & coffee+milo are just so-so.
After 5 years, since the last visit. The food and taste still remains authentic.
My parents brought me here often as a kid, and its still here. We went for Mee Combat. Still superb. Nostalgic.
Foodcourt with variety of food. Malay and Chinese hawker food. Very affordable.
It is a pity that the once famous food court that satisfy diners looking for local dinner hawker food. But now most of the stalls closes by 4.00 pm if you are looking for brunch or dinner. Hoped the hawkers association there can encouraged the hawkers to operate for dinner as well. There is also one stall that is reluctantly to add dipping sauce when requested him to do so. Because some foods just need to have dipping sauces when eating. Too bad that stall has lost my support in the future.
Hawker foods quite repeated in weekly basis. However, the foods really consider value for money.
1.Food are tasteless2.Cleanliness need to upgrade3.Very expensive and volume of the food is very less4.Food operator should wear a proper attire5.Public toilet need to upgrade6.Need parking lot for tourist bus.
Value for money type of market place, but some stalls did not open. Cheap food.
You can find good Chinese food like specially Wantan Mee, kuew teow goreng and Mee soup for breakfast. The hawkers so friendly and attend immediately once we find table.
Visited this food centre on Aug 7, 2022 for breakfast. Prices are low, food is average. Overall, this food centre is ideal for a quick meal and move on. Variety is wide, mixture of chinese, malay and Indian food. Located right in the middle of Heritage Walk, its ideal for tourists to stop, eat and feel the ambience as this food centre is a historical building itself.
Lot of choices on local delicacy. Would be nice if the place is cleaner.
We came here twice , one at 5pm , only the Malay store open , we had murtabak(ok, popiah (too sweet ), satay (hard .. the next morning 8:45am for breakfast , this time we try the Chinese stall , fried oyster (So sofish ball kuey tiow (So so prawn noodle (not nice chee cheong fun (so so mee rebus (tastywan tan mee (not nice chicken feet (tasty otak (tasty overall the food here so so only ..
Century old hawker centre that still maintains its glory. Still a must visit for locals and tourists alike. Though not as clean and tidy as newer food court but food choices that available overshadowed the cleanliness aspect. Truly a Malaysian food centre as we can find malay, indian and chinese food under one roof
The Covid impact had effected the plc. A few great stalls are no longer operating. But overall the varieties are still there. Prices are reasonable. Authentic ambience of Chinese hawkers.
Nothing special about the chicken rice that was recommended here.Tried the fish ball fried kway teow. Actually it should be called fish ball dry hor fun.Anyway conclusion is many stalls but selling same food.
First visit here on a weekday morning. Found the place to be buzzing with food hunters, either eating in or takeaway. Estimated about 100 stalls, with a majority of the Chinese food stalls selling popular noodles and rice dishes such as won ton noodles, kway teow fish ball soup/fried, roast chicken and pork rice, etc. Stall number 78 seems to be popular with many queuing for takeaway. Seating is too close, and the pervading noise may not be comfortable for visitors who prefer a spacious and quiet eating environment. Price is about 20%-30% lower compared to that in the Klang valley,eg, a plate of fried kway teow costs RM5.50at stall 78 compared to RM7.00-RM8.00.
Local hawker place, food is nice and cheap. Good thing about hawker center is you can try many local food at one place.
Ideal spot to try out local infamous food & delicacy in one go. Tasty & reasonably priced.
the hawker food delicious, the authentic coffee super nice store 58 & 59. fried keow tiow with fish ball delicious.
Fantastic place for a wide variety of simple hawker food. Surely there must be one stall that fits your taste. Well recommended.
The place to go in Taiping for hawker fare . Only opened in the day. Lots of Gerai or in-house stalls. Try the teochew char kway teow. The satay is very good. So is the homemade nonya kueh. The famous mee rebus is not for everyone though.Over at the Muslim side, the Maggi goreng is simply out of the world.
This Hawker Centre is one of the most famous and crowded one in Taiping. There are a lot of stalls here - Chinese, Malay, Indian and etc.A must try is definitely the Hor Kar Sai. Originated from Taiping, "Hor Ka Sai" beverage was meant to provide you (as the tigerthe energy to bite a lion when you drink this Kopi+Milo.
Eating place since my childhood...normal food at normal price, dont expect too much..pls try the old dish like popia, satay, Mee goreng, murtabak...
Mostly all food on average not bad.One thing avoid going to stall no.50 the chinese mee rebus, the owners are lansi from the elderly man to young lady.. rude and poor customer service.
Before leaving Taiping we went to take lunch..this place got lots of foods try..Got so many stalls..tried Char Kuey Tiau and Hor Kat Sai..will rated it 7/10
Local food court in Taiping and it was very crowded and busy. Lots of variety of hawker food available both halal and non halal. Tried the curry mee and it was pretty good. Convenient parking available.
Local tasty, cheap hawkers food. Usualy crowded during meals time. Malay, chinese, indian & mamak food at affordable price. Favoutite spot for tea talk meetings.
Normal hawker centre with a lot of choice. And quite dirty. The famous fried carrot cake, tai Kao (mang Zhang kuihand stall no 72 世和 wanton noodle only business at morning not for lunch.魏记烧腊from morning and lunch. Not sure dinner although the hawker centre open till 9pm. RM6 onwards. Serve food fast.Near the entrance got 2 stall selling nyonya kuih but nothing impress, no pandan aroma at all, only use colouring for kuih tayap. no hygiene as they received money then take the kuih for customer again without wash their hand. And the uncle and aunty are not friendly as business too good. The old couple selling little bit cheaper than the lady seller stall for the same thing. Conclusion, just normal food in this hawker centre.
best place for breakfast and lunch, lots of choices and remember try lot85 champing. recently most of the food stall close after 1pm. and remember each table has corresponding drink stall u order from.
One word : Disappointed. When someone says hawker centre, you start to imagine a place where different kinds of food all under one roof. But thats not the case for this one. If u take a scroll around this centre, you will come across kuew tiao, mee curry, cjocken rice- and again. Its like you are trapped in a loop or something.Probably 90% of the stalls here sells only this.. I tested one of their dry curry mee but it was not so great. Overall a big let down for me especially after this place was hyped out as one of the must visit place in Taiping
Very good Taiping coffee. Worth the drive and the taste remains the same quality from our old memories.
Home to many local food - cheap and good portion. Best place to have breakfast and lunch.
Only few kuey teow shops have bit of old time taste(shop no.46).i only go there to buy kuey teow . shops are clean and can eat over there too.other than that im not yet tried.
It located in center of Taiping town. Hawker Center divided to Non Muslim and Muslim area. Many hawker sell the same type of food although lots of hawker stall over there. Overall food taste averagely acceptable with reasonable price.
Variery of Taiping delicious food. Stall no.63 serves super tasty fishball noodles and the mee rebus noodles (cant recall the numberis a must to try. Drop by Michaels ice kacang stall for black/white mountain. You will not be dissapointed.
Interesting hawker center that sells a variety of food! You have a choice of halal or non halal food as well. Prices are also in the affordable range!
Dont know where to start with taiping food, heres a good place to start! Quite alot of the stalls are old timers. Taipings char keoy teow is different!Stall 78 and the pork satay stall aint too bad!The kuih shop is really famous.
A lots of ppl...Table is dirty, did not clean up.Lobak kuih Is nice if dine in.Fish ball noodle and ban zan kuih is over rated.Overall experience. Meh but its okay, might visit again.
My wifes home city. Been there countless times over the years( last count 45 years). And never once fell below my expectations. Just a short walk away , youll find the best soya beans milk anywhere in Ipoh.Prices are still cheaper compared to kl!! Thats why I always visit the city whenever we can. It feels home.
Variety of foods n very nice taste. Easy to locate n access. During peak time, you have to queue for your fav food 😍
Overrated. Tried most of the food but very disappointed. Probably the only food I find it nice is the Kuala Sepetang Koay Teow Soup. The Nyonya Kuih seller is very unhygienic and dirty. Used his bare hands to take the Kuihs and then used his hands to handle money and then handled the Kuihs again. What a total put off!😱😡 I cancelled my plan to try some of his Kuihs.
This place is a gem! Very busy during lunch time, great food hidden inside, my all time favourites are stall 40 refreshing drinks, stall 39 prawn mee, stall 63 fish ball noodles. There is a lovely nyonya kuih stall at the end, but do make sure you decide what you want when youre lining up. Theres a nice ice kacang stall at the corner, youd reach by walking straight from the nyonya kuih stall.
