Traditional fast-food standards, a salad bar & ever-changing entrees in a casual college cafeteria.
Lots of good memories... dissociation included. The lights should all be the same color but, other than that its a solid C- for me. Thank you Mr. Zoo for providing. High fructose corn syrup… IN THE PASTA?!?!?! MEAT?!? What kinda dystopia are we living in. I know corn is subsidized and all, but that’s just uncalled for.
First time going to the food zoo, they refused to take cash. Said a manager would need to do something about a deposit bag. Overall ridiculous. I will not be back.
Cheap food
I always got hair in my food lol
Top notch buffet/cafeteria style food. Lots of options for different types of diets. Good quality and good seating but most importantly the staff is extremely helpful, friendly and supportive of UM students/staff/faculty.
There are variety of foods served at there. Be careful not to eat too much, Because all of them are so tasty!
Good food and lots of healthy choices
Amazing options and really good food too, lines are a little slow though
Good variety on the salad, good biscuits and gravy, good water, but fruits could use some more care, some were bad.
Great food playz country music
Food is awesome but you do have to be careful if you dont like spice they tend to spice-ify things a lot.
Its good for a school. But you can tell the chefs are in school, some meals better than others.
Bear bucks. Lunch. Its too good not to go here at least once a day. The nutritional options available and the flavor they can achieve while delivering those nutrients is spectacular.
Good most of the time
Lovely place to catch up the food lol
Great food and we really love that there is a lot more healthy choices, locally sourced ingredients and a more intentional menu. Thanks!
Worst taste of biryani 😩😩.. Please dont go through positive reviews. These reviews are given by owner himself.. Very bad experience
So many choices!!
Awesome!! Im not a student so I paid $12 for the buffet, great wholesome food, many many eating options for different types of eaters. Huge section of drinks, school grown microgreens, and entertainment both students and TV. Deserts too!!Highly recommend, please be considerate of the collage.
Great beer-battered cod tacos today at the rotating food bar! Wonderful welcome for prospective students and families on UM days
Food quality is always great. I get stuffed every time I go there and there is a ton of variety. The build your own bar is a fun way to go if you are picky.
Great food and space. The best food experience in the campus
Food is iffy at times, and not open on holidays, but you cant beat the good stuff when its here. I will always wish I was still living on campus just so I can have ready access to the zoo. Highly recommend to all campus goers, despite it being pricier for non-students.
Never disappointed with the FZ
Being a vegan and eating here is trying, at best. Most of the time, there isnt really vegan options, unless I want a bowl of hot kidney bean water or a salad for every meal. And, seriously, soy milk is not the only milk alternative, plus, there are many people who are allergic to soy. The so called "dairy free" line often has dishes with milk or eggs in them.
For students the ease and price cant be overstated however it is a tad expensive and informal for those no longer attending university.
Great place for um students to eat and get their meals at.
Good variety of items
Best for college students or anyone whondoesnt wanna cook and get some high quality food.
Ive worked on campus for five years and became a regular in the Food Zoo over the past year. I have never been disappointed with the variety of food. Ive always found it to be nutritious and flavorful. I love the farm to college efforts theyve built over the years. Their menu is available online and that has really helped me plan ahead for which days I want to visit to enjoy my favorites. This evening I had their smoked beef brisket (part of the farm to college program). My favorite meal is their Vegan Pad Thai!
The food zoo has some of the best food for a school cafeteria. Unfortunately its also buffet style once you get in meaning that often times I end up eating more than I probably needed to.
I love the selection and the cooking is wonderful!
All you can eat great to take a class, team, or band too!
Trips is old school in the best possible way. The food is good
Im pretty sure there is laxative in the food.
All you care to eat. This is better than any college cafeteria I have been to.
Welcome to food zoo
A solid dining experience for students of the University of Montana, my only critique would be that the breakfast is a bit bland on occasion, but overall a great place to eat.
A clean dining experience with plenty of space. All the food is locally grown and handled. All table scraps as well as napkins get recycled as well.
