Foneas beach - Public beach in Pyrgos, Greece
Very lovely and graphical beach with a big rock in the middle. Crystal waters, parking, and a neat Kantina are waiting for you.
Amazing spot during late September, not crowded, blue clear water 💧
Nice, accessible. But avoid when crowded. People are on top of rach other
Semi remote location, yet with kind of easy access. There was a small cantina there to provide you with coffee, water and some snacks. Waters were really beautiful and clean. The overall location was great and a must place to go for a swim
An amazing place with parking and a katina. Although the prices are a bit too high for the drinks.
Another beautiful pebble beach. No fuss, no crowds. Snorkel this.
If you dont come here well have more place on the best beach of the world. ;)
Wow!!!This beach is amazing! There is a kantina and parking really close, you dont need to park on the road like a lot of people are saying there is enough parking down. You need to bring chairs or something to sit on.The water are just sublime
Wild pebble beach, is accessible via the road. Beautiful landscape, not recommended for families with small children.
Visited the beach in late afternoon mid oktober. Needless to say it was almost completely empty. The water was rather nice, the majority of the beach is pebbles and to the far left when facing the sea is a small cave. There is however also the risk of sand/rocks falling down at the edge from above on this side of the beach. There is a small bar but better to bring your own stuff ( food/drinks/chair/umbrella)
Excellent beach and sea!Crystal clear water, deep sea, lots of fish!
Foneas beach 😍 ... 50m from the road, there is parking and a bar with shade. Quite crowded even in September. The water is crystal clear, with pebbles. On the left side there is shadow until afternoon, being directly under the rock.
Great scenery, especially at sunset. Small, with a big rock in its middle leaves little space for the people. It is getting very crowded all day long. It is definitely worth visiting.
Beautiful beach with rocks and caves to swim. In the morning or late afternoon not so crowded. A good terrace with normal prices. The view is amazing!
Nice hidden beach. Not too busy and with a cave on the beach and just on the outside of the bay. Really clear water and the most perfect oval stones of all greece.
Unbelievable experience.An absolute must 😃
Nice beach, a bit crowded since it’s one of the most spectacular in the area . But you can get ice lattes and ice cream at the small coffe just above. There is a parking right by the beach, so you don’t need to park on the road like many people do, unless it’s full of course.
In my opinion the best Beach in Stoupa neighborhood. Left part, under the clif, is with shodow untill 3 pm.Sunbathing, diving, jumping from the rocks 😎😎
Great beach south of Kalamata. The water is crystal clear and bright turquoise. The beach is very clean, pristine and suitable for children. Besides the parking lot above the beach and also parking along the street is also possible. Last but not least there is a small restaurant next to the beach where you can buy drinks and/or have dinner. We had a really good time there and we would go to Foneas beach again.
I just loved here! Sea was just amazing w colour of turquoise and pebble beach. Also you may swim in the caves. Plus there is a cantain that you may find some snacks and cold beverages.
It is a small wild beach, near the beach îs a camping and a parking place, The entrance to the beach with the car is from the main road quite dangerous beacause is exactly on the big curve, so be carefully.
Beautiful beach... Warm water... Secluded... pebbles beach
Its a very charming beach. Not very crowded- in fact it seems to be not very popular among tourists. You can find there some nice caves, cristall water and beautiful rock formations. The only disadvantage is the lack of parking- people park their cars along the road.
Nice, rock beach with super clear water. Quite small and private. Theres also beach bar :)
The sea is emerald green and clean. The rock formations are creating cave like cavities that are nice to visit and photograph. There is a small beach bar if you want coffee or a small snack (and no annoying music). Please note that the pebbles and rocks on the peach are not bum friendly.
Great pebble beach with lovely big rocks and coves. On site cafe but otherwise not commercialised. Pretty busy when we went in Aug and lots of kids jumping off the rocks but if you swim further out its more peaceful
Fantastic. Perfect beach for teenagers and young adults. Perfect beach for people who enjoy the sun and perfect for people who prefer cooler temperature. Providing two sides, one with shade and cold air and one which gets all the sunlight, Foneas Beach has nothing to make you think twice about visiting it. Filled with so many feautures, it makes the ideal beach for people 13-25 years old. From Caves to 20m jumps, it can keep you entertained from sunrise to sunset. Foneas Beach also has a big rock that you can climb and jump from into the water which is about 40-50m tall. You can jump from it from various points ranging from 1-6 meter jumps. You dont even have to worry about careying your luggage because there is a huge parking next to the beach covered by trees and rocks and the lovely snack and coffee place next to it. Another highlight of the beach is that it has big rocks instead of sand which is kind of interesting for people who arent used to it. There is also a mini shower for anyone who wants to tame a shower there. I would for sure visit it again if I ever visit the place again. Lovely place.Tip: get sea shoes from the nearest supermarket, you are going to need them if you want to climb and jump into the water.
Prefer to go early in the morning something like 08.00 - 09.00 a.m. The sea is pure and extraordinary. The whole concept reminded me of beaches in Lefkada. Not too overcrowded, with a beach bar, but with no sunbeds. Free parking is also an extra. Definitely take with you, your action camera or drone if existed.
Very nice rocky beach. Maybe the best rocky beach in whole Peloponnese. The scenery is amazing and the sea is very clean. You can jump from the big rocks if you like.At summertime its very crowded.
Rocky beach. Clean with green blue water...a little bit crowded.. There is one canteen too
A really beautiful beach, a great scenery. The beach is rockish but you can find places to seat in the shadow under the rock. The sea is clean and the playful ones can jump from the rocks.
Lovely beach. If you’re in a car, you can take the small slope down to a little car part just before/after the bend in the road (depending on which way you’re coming!). Lovely souvlaki and beers in the canteen :)
Beautiful beach with very nice clear waters. You leave the car on the street and then walk for a couple of minutes. The beach has no sand but beautiful white rocks and if you are lucky natural shade in some parts. Also it has a shower to wash off the salt.
Great beach if you want to relax in crystal clear waters without paying anything. Not even unbrellas are needed until 3pm, since the cliffs provide a nice shadowy selter for whoever wants it.There is a very good canteen / bar as well where you can buy coffees, snacks and souvlakia, which you can either get them with you or sit in their tables.Only disadvantage is that the road to get there goes up and down the Peloponnese mountains in continuous 90 to 180 degrees turns - great view, but not the best if you get motion sickness easily like me.
Nice beach protected from most weather - except west wind. Cliffs on both sides on the beach offer some shade if you are lucky to secure a spot under it. Beach is rocky and small with a small kiosk for water, beverages and snacks. Parking is limited and there is no disabled access.
Wonderful Hidden Gem, but diffucult to walk because of the Stones and Bit hard to find in offseason cause there are Not really any signs. But we Had the beach completely to oursleves.
Good soft rocky beach. You can drive near it, or leave car on road (there is room for that). Or you can just go uphill and you will find parking..
Beautiful beach. Very clean waters but unfortunately when we went half of it was full of bubbles. The other half was clean and easier to enter with less pebbles. The cantina offers coffee, refreshments and some food (French fries, salad and souvlakia)
Nice beach with clear water. Take seashoes as quite rocky. Lovely swimming. Not too busy even in August on a Saturday. Some shade from the cliff edges but would advise you bring an umbrella.
Without a doubt the most amazing beach we have ever been to. If you have beach chairs bring them otherwise youll be laying on rocks. Worth having beach shoes also otherwise the first few metres walking into the ocean may be painful but completely worth it! One of mother natures best gifts
Amazing beach with crystal blue water and white stones on shore. Has a cantine nearby with all essentials.
Beautiful pristine pebbly beach with lovely clean waters. The only shade is from the rock faces so you will need to bring a parasol. The big surprise though is the little unassuming cafe. There is no menu but we saw some others eating and asked for the same. We had the tastiest souvlaki of our entire trip at a fraction of the prices elsewhere. Hidden gem indeed!
One of my very favorite exclusive beaches in Greece
Really fun beach with lots of caves and clear, turquoise waters. The pebbles are a little large in areas for comfort but its worth it :there is a little shop to buy food (however it was closed today when we wentand parking, but you have to be careful not to miss the little road on the corner to drive down.
One of the best beaches in Stoupa. It is separated in two parts by a huge rock and this makes it more picturesque. The waters are deep turquoise. Most of the summer days there is very little wind making the place a huge swimming pool. There are thankfully no noisy beach bars, but there is small canteen discreetly tucked away among the pines serving very tasty snacks. A small paradise...
Its a beautiful bay with low tourism. There is a stone beachside but inside the sea there is sand. You have to visit this wonderful place.
Best spot to chill, sometimes i feel like i am on an island.
Perfect, small and quite! Good place for snorkeling. You park up on the road and is 100 meters Walking
Nice beach to chill on and most important there is no sand to be spread in your car and on the towels. Well deserved 5 stars.PS. dont forget to apply sun lotion as white stones reflect sunrays even more and therefore you get a big chance of sunburn 🙃
Not easy to find when coming from the south, but coming from the north there are small signs towards it. From the south, look for a camping sign in a bend on the road, and then head down there.Well worth it, two beaches split by a rock in the middle. Rocky beach, no sand, so if you prefer the sandy ones, this is not for you. Visited in September, and there was hardly anyone there.
