Upscale Brazilian chain for all-you-can-eat meat carved tableside plus an extensive salad bar.
Food was great but the service was excellent. Staff friendly and I wish I had gotten the name of our server he was amazing (tall dark haired gentleman), always making sure everything was good and checking on the meat we preferred eating when I return I hope to have his professional and outgoing service again. I definitely recommend trying it more than once because the first time can be overwhelming with so much food, you will learn how to pace yourself. Restaurant very clean and great location to other sites around the area. Be back soon
We made reservations and were seated right away. The market brunch was great and had an amazing selection. My only disappointment was that they didnt have black beans and rice in the salad bar and when we ordered the rice was crunchy and the beans werent cooked all of the way. Everything else was fantastic. I highly recommend the beets with orange. Overall an excellent experience.
Great customer service:Food is amazing and great selection of wines.
Can somebody say mouth watering, mouth tingling, delectable, delicious food! I love this restaurant and I cannot get enough. It has became my every time special occasion place to eat. The meat, the sides, the tables and the drinks. Who could ask for more. The meat just comes around non stop, you have the ability to choose when you want more or less. The sides/entrees are all you can eat included with the meat so it makes the price of it all super worth it. Come with your appetite. Come if you can eat. Come if you want a fabulous treat. Lol fr.
Amazing energy in this place. Camilla our Server made the evening perfect and she was assisted by Julian who we didn’t spend as much time with but a lovely fella. What I really liked was that the staff worked as a team and helped each other out as they walked through the restaurant and they were all very positive and had great enthusiasm for the food! The salad bar is extensive and delicious, and the cuts of meat. Obviously perfect! If you are looking for a different experience, and experience, you will remember in the city, I recommend Fogo.
Great place for meat lovers. The gauchos are excellent - a constant flow of flavor-some and succulent meat of every kind brought to your table relentlessly! Buffet is also good. I do not normally review chains, but this is one worth a lookout if you are having a serious meat craving. Looking forward to my Brazil trip to see if there is a next level of quality or if this the ultimate real deal.
Ulises provided the best of customer service that makes our family want to come back. He was welcoming and attentive. We were celebrating our family member’s swearing in as an attorney. He made sure the temperature of the meat was precisely what we asked for and he made great recommendations. He accommodated my vegetarian diet because they have a great selection at their salad section with entree style options.
Had a wonderful evening of food wine and friendship. Can’t offer a higher recommendation than any meat with the bone in. Also the seafood was glorious. Kelsey was fantastic as were Romania and Julian. I can’t wait to come back again!!
Another great restaurant in San Francisco. Family was in town so we decided to head out to a beautiful venue with an all you can eat dining experience that boasted an amazing salad bar and delicious Brazilian style meats. We all left extremely full and satisfied. I’d recommend skipping a few meals before heading in so you eat your fill. Check it out!
Food was good. Service started out rough with Raquel as our server. She was not welcoming at all. Gave mediocre service and left our table unattended for long periods of time. She left the floor without letting our table know and never came back to check on us. We had to ask Sofia to clear our plates and get the bill. Sofia was very friendly ad attentive. We were celebrating a birthday and it was frustrating to deal with the lack of service.
First time at fogo de chao and the food and service were incredible! It was also my team’s first time meeting in person so being able to be treated with the upmost care and hospitality made our experience even sweeter. Special thank you to Alme and team who were our amazing service folks. She helped us flag down certain dishes, recommend the best wines, desserts, etc
OMG!! Best Brazilian we had, food and drinks were great! So tasty! Service was over the top everyone friendly, giving 110% accommodating our every needs and going beyond, we even had children with us, which they were so accommodating on selecting a perfect spot for us. Lastly that made my night was it was my birthday and I was too full to eat complimentary dessert but they still came out with a special “happy birthday” strawberry plate too cute! We will surely be back!
Enjoyable experience. Visited on a Saturday evening around 5pm by the time we left the restaurant was starting to get full. The continuous offering of meats was fill full and there was great selection of cuts beef, chicken, and pork. On the pricey side $189 for a party of 2 and 1 glass of wine. Would encourage visiting if you havent been there before.
Place isnt what it used to be. Most of the steak was over cooked even when I asked for Medium Rare. Was there for a coworkers birthday. Our waiter was nice and didnt seem over zealous. Only issue was I asked for a few more sides, but they never came. Also for the salad bar, they need to provide hand sanitizer and make sure people use it prior to getting there plates. There was a guy picking his teeth and then grabbing the spoon and tongs which killed it for me (I know this isnt the restaurants fault). But it was just am ok experience. Definitely not like what it used to be though. Seemed like the meat quality went down as well. They definitely were bringing the meat out fast on the plus side.
Really enjoy their salad bar , Market Table. Being diabetic, this is my favorite lunch place. Ingredients are fresh and high quality. If you need extra meat , you can add 10oz beef, fish for extra $10. We usually go around 11:30am weekdays when door opens. Best of all, you can buy gift cards from Costco for 30% off. Weekend brunch is not worth it. Pretty much same as weekdays at more than 2x the price.
Thank you so much Vinicius super patient, explained the menu to me in the smallest details. The passion fruit caipirinha drinks is my favorite I felt I was in Brazil and another thanks go to the Gauchos the best meat so juicy. yummy yummy!!!😋😋😋
Had early dinner reservations for my birthday yesterday and Ulises made sure the experience was a great one. Food was amazing, service was great and the creme brulee was fantastic! We will definitely be back!
Great place to have a satisfying meal after a long walk around Union Square.Service is great, food is great, and what a nice salad bar they have. Tons of meats selections fresh off the bbq roller.Overall great experience.
I want to say first the staff at this place was extremely exceptional! Especially our waiter Halal. I ordered a wine that they ran out of and he made a great alternative selection! I brought me and my fiance 🏳️🌈 there for his birthday dinner. The ambience of the dinning area was great. This is one of the best F.D.C. Ive even eaten in. Ive frequent many on the east coast in different cities it is never a disappointment. This location stood out with there cooking and service. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a great upscale dinning experience
Its okay. I dont recommend it and I wont be going back. Most of the cuts are either overcooked (beyond well-doneor blue. The picanha was an exception -- a nice medium rare and it was well seasoned. The tenderloin was also good but they were very stingy with it. They were definitely pushing the cheaper cuts. The service was mostly mediocre. Drink orders were forgotten and I needed to ask multiple times. A gentleman named Elijah (I think... he wasnt wearing a name tagwas a standout. He was very friendly and prompt. The overall atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The website says the dress code is business casual but there were adults walking around in pajamas. I mean that literally. Another guys jeans were practically falling off and he was covered in cheap tattoos. There were some decent families there but I personally wouldnt bring children here.
Amazing place. Outside setting is super spacious and cozy with heat lamps. Staff is super friendly and attentive. The salad bar is unreal….Super fresh and amazing variety! A must to dine in if your in the San Fran area!
The best option for aSteakhouse in the whole Bay Area. Located right in San Francisco SOMA area, this restaurant should be on the “must visit” list for those visiting. This is the best salad bar in the whole Bay Area (see pictures). The establishment is well managed by Mr Vinicius (see picture).
Food was great and the server were so nice its my 4th time to eat in fogo but 1st time in this branch i always had it in san jose😋😋 yummy!!! cheese bread was awesome!
Came for the Sunday brunch and had a blast! Such a fun experience, delicious meats, lots of choices for sides at the market table, and friendly waiters/staff. I would say it’s worth the money especially if you have a large appetite and love meat
Make sure you you don’t eat for a while before coming to the restaurant because they give you large amounts of food. The is a salad bar that has lots of options to choose from also. The servers are pretty fast and efficient when bringing around the different types of meats. It was pretty busy in the restaurant but they still did a great job making sure we had what we needed.
It was a very nice place! The snack bar was very good and the déifièrent meat served were perfect. It is kinda expensive to eat there but it is worth it if you go there for the first time. I wouldn’t go there all the time though. It cost me 169$ for three people and the tip asked was up to 27$ if I thought was a lot. The food was perfect though!
Really good food. We went on Mothers Day so it was a madhouse. The staff was being treated poorly by customers but were very nice. There was a lot longer wait than our reservation but the place was obviously dealing with a huge amount of people. A nicer salad bar Ive seen for a churrascaria. They had some tasty drink options. Would love to go again when its not a holiday.
Excellent restaurant for anniversary, graduation and birthday celebrations. Best meat with great wine and cocktail menus. Excellent staff with attention to detail - William was a great host. Will come back soon!
If you like grilled meat then this is the place for you! The sides are great but lets be honest, were here for the meat. My favorites were the beef ribs and the skirt steak.
My husband and I loved everything about this place. First, their website is easy to navigate and plan a reservation (really helped us as we are out of state). We knew what the prices were and what would be included pending on what we ordered. Once we arrived, the staff were friendly and gave us a breakdown as we said it was our first time here. Setting is nice as well and close to a good chunk of hotels (my hubby and I walked there from our hotel). Now the main part - the food - so so good. The meat was cooked to perfection and the sample appetizers you get are great (carmalized bananas especially). Dessert is also top notch and you get a good variety to choose from. Definitely go here with an empty stomach so you can enjoy as much as you can!
I took 16 of my business customers to this restaurant. They were more than accommodating as I changed how many were coming 3 times as my party grew. We had excellent service and the food was awesome. This is definitely a place where you can enjoy a small or large group. I cant say enough how great it was working with the sales manager and their team. Class act! Well be back for sure!!
Delicious food. Wonderful ambiance. The salad bar was well maintained, clean and food was fresh. MEAT lovers--u will be pleased. And Tres leches for dessert! Why Yes!
We visited the place on a Wednesday evening for a conference event. The place was full of guests, but the atmosphere was very pleasant. I especially enjoyed the soft light and combination of dark and golden colors in their interior. The collection of vines is impressive and nicely presented, the food and snacks are delicious, the personnel is fast and friendly. Can definitely recommend the place.
Absolute TRASH. If you know quality meats, DO NOT GO HERE. Manager and meat server were extremely rude, and meat was very poor quality, soggy, stale and tasted honestly like monkey meat. Wagyu was sliced SUPER thick and drained in salt. I’ve never had bad wagyu in my life until here last night.
The food was good but servants were not very respectful. It is a great experience for one time. I won’t come back again!
It was everything I thought it would be. The service was amazing and the ambience was addictive. When we tasted the different meats they had to offer thats when I knew I found one of my favs in S. F.Both my Wife and I will definitely be a frequent visitor
For valentines me and my partner decided to come to Fogo De Chão for our valentines celebration it was nice and busy with lots of couples. We where seated right away and and their staff was amazing and very attentive. We did the dining experience and started of with hibiscus caipirinha which was delicious. We moved on to the salad bar which was well stocked with a variety of yummy appetizers and fruits.Definitely recommend this place for your specialoccasions or when you are looking to eat endless meat
This restaurant has to be one of your necessary stops here in San Francisco! Prices are fairly related to what you can get, with really good entrees and meats from all around Brazil with amazing desserts to finish your dinner. Also waiters were very nice with us, specially Ulises that helped us getting exactly what we wanted. También saben hablar español!
Not a pleasant experience. The restaurant was typical white table cloth. The staff was attentive. The wine was ok. I ordered the $110 tomahawk steak. It took half an hour for my food to arrive to the table. While I waited they wanted to serve my side items before my steak was ready. (Who does thatwhen my food was served the presentation was lovely but.....my steak was over cooked. It tasted like it sat under a heat for the half hour wait. YUCK. it was then that I realized why the restaurant had so few patrons. For me its FOGO NO MO
Excellent food, service and drinks. All around fantastic experience for everything we had. The thin sliced cuts were the best out of all the meats. The chunky, or bacon wrapped pieces were far too well done for my tastes. The salad bar / Buffett was excellent and had plenty of variety. For dessert we had cheesecake, tres leches, and chocolate cake, although they were out of ice cream that normally comes with it. Will return!
Great &!fancy restaurant to eat the worldwide famous churrasco rodízio.I was visiting San Francisco a few days with my partner so we’ve decided to try this location after having satisfactory tried Vancouver locationAll I’ve to say is that the service was good and fast & the food delicious although some of the meat was well bellow done which makes it very less tasty, something they have to take care off but not being a reason to give them less than 5 starsAlso the price is a bit high for what you get, comparing this restaurant against other fancy & fine food restaurants
I was looking forward to the visit. I wanted to surprise my wife for our 22 year anniversary. I ordered a bottle of wine and to my disappointment, the server left the bottle open and didnt even bother to serve the first glass. I waited 15 minutes or so and the serve just kept passing by knowing the glasses were empty and the bottle had been seen. That was the start to the disaster of a night. I would like to add more to this review, but I think we all know how this end. For been in San Francisco it was a disaster, I have visited other Fogo de Chão across the country and had never had the serves like this. Reason for a 2 star and not one. A manager did try serves recovery but it was to late. By then my wife and I made the best of the even, I mean we were there already. Needless to say I had to celebrate our anniversary elsewhere and it wont be Fogo de Chão. Best of luck if you decide to try this place if youre in San Francisco.
Its a full on experience from the original caparhinia to the salad bar and finally the meat. A great place for groups. Get a reservation ahead of time.
First time experience service was spotty possibly due to dining outside.Greatly enjoyed the wide variety of meat offerings when it arrived. The cheese and honey was out of this world, so much so I might try to make it at home as well as the chimichuri was golden. Drinks strawberry hibiscus was mighty fine.
Had some of the most tender and tasty meats I have ever tasted. This is an awesome dinner experience that I encourage everyone to try.I was so busy eating I only got the chance to take a photo of my sumptuous dessert.
Dinner at Fogo de Chao was a lovely experience! Ryan, Armand and the rest of the servers were informative, engaging and pleasant. Our drinks were wonderful despite the short staffed bar of the night. The Seafood Tower was nice but not particularly mouth-watering.You need to have a legitimate appetite for the amount of meat that is brought past your table. The lamb was perfectly cooked!I was sorry to miss the key lime pie.
Snagged tables for happy hour and what a treat!! Such great prices for HH. Burger was perfectly cooked, polenta fries could have used more crunch, we asked for the mochi popover bread, and all of their caprinha drinks were superb.
We had the pleasure of coming to dine in on Friday 10/08/21 for my Husbands birthday. We had such a good Experience with this location that I am absolutely sure we will be returning for dinner. We went with the CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE and I can say it is 100% worth it especially if you have a tummy that can eat. My husband absolutely loved every type of meat that he tried, and so did I. All the Meat was cooked perfectly, all medium rare and so well seasoned. The Market Table & Feijoada Bar had so many options to try from, and since this was our first time ever coming to this restaurant it was a bit overwhelming but everything we tried was delicious. The cesar salad and pasta was delicious as well as all the veggies. Next time we will have to try more from the Market Table & Bar. The whole Experience was fantastic, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was my absolute favorite. All the waiters and food servers were absolutely wonderful at the table service. I cant remember our waiters name but he over heard that it was my husbands birthday and they wrote Happy Birthday on our Creme Brûlée which was so nice and just finished the evening off so well.We will definitely add this to our date night Routine every so often, but I can honestly say we are so excited to go back again.
It was my Boss’s birthday choice not a place I’d ever choose. We have one at home and I’ve never wanted to experience this disaster. The best item on the menu for me was the soup and the dessert. All of the meat they brought I could only eat off the edges because it was raw and not to my specifications. Everything was flavored with garlic like it was the only seasoning they had. Glad its over and I won’t ever have to do it again!
Based on a few times visiting over the course of the last year, I find myself wanting to go back more often. If you havent experienced Brazilian fine dining, this is a great way to do so.The meats are excellent and, at least in my experiences, the staff is always making rounds with more options. They even offer a delicious salad bar, seafood and vegetarian dishes for those opting out of the traditional dining. The drinks are well crafted, traditional and modern South American drinks.
