Flying J Travel Center in Barstow

Pulled in to get gas along the way to Vegas Saw a guy with some good lookin pups outside the station along the street attempting to get gas and thought Id help. When I called him to the pump, the maintenance attendant came up and gave us attitude, telling him he needed to leave the property. When I spoke to Lisa the manager, she acted as if its a part of the day, and honestly I dont think she cared. Next station that tells me I cant help a person , Im reporting to a lawyer that they have rules/etiquette expectations of their customers. Last I checked, customers are always right

food very delicious , clean rest rooms , friendly staff, at the cashier the girls work quickly and professionally what is needed for the truck drivers so that everything is fast, clean and professional thank you for the good work

Great truck stopHowever this truck used a Squeegee bush to clean the truck. That ruins the squeegee faster and puts extra road grime in the bucket.

Good evening everybody....Normally I wouldnt take the time to write a review....but this is directed to the short tattooed employee that wheres glasses at this establishment from LA. See Ive learned to block out all negative....I really dont mind you making fun of my appearance....the growth thats growing on the side of my face alters my appearance.....this is why I where a mask until Im able to afford my operation. I would never wish this condition on you or anyone...have your laughs at my expense....its all good.... I only ask that you show a little more consideration to other customers that dont have thick skin.....for you might not know how your laugh and giggles might affect them. Hopefully this can be a learning moment to treat others like you would want to be treated if you were in their shoes. Have a Blessed Day.

The cashier was seriously going to charge me two dollars and fifty cents for a bloody cup of hot water. Not even tea. Not even coffee!! I have never been charged for hot water at any Pilot until today.

Good location to park after driving through the desert. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Outlet mall near by, other truck parking available within half mile of flying j

My a/c quit on my truck and its 104 now. Stopped here and the driver lounge has no chairs and no TV. What kind of lounge is this? Thanks Flying J

Yesterday. I pulled the gas to my car for full, but it stopped. I think its fully done. I check my car start. The gas still is not fulling in the car. Its said to go to see casher. I cant leave my boys in the car alone. A customer old man trying to help, and he gets the customer guy to look like a native and so disrespectful I told him I dont understand you. I said use your phone to note types that I am deaf, and I told him I was fed my car for full and still not fulls, and its stopped itself. He kept spoked made me boil, and he didnt want to type the note on the phone as trouble communicating, and his hopes made me give up I left. Casher is dirty for limit gas!

Showers are down because the manager says so. The app isnt working for showers, so they said no showers. I hate California.

Good place to take a leak and get coffee

“No showers due to construction”Thats not really acceptable. Wish I saw this before I put my trash in the trashcan, I wish I dumped it all over their parking lot.

Plenty of parking spots. No showers due to construction. Disappointing! A shower is the only reason I didnt go to a rest area.

The Wendys fast food place was the slowest I have ever seen in all of the United States and I drive all the states. The place only pays attention to the drive through and not the walk ups, I stood there for 20 minutes and my food wasnt even started, the 2 managers didnt even know how to work the register to refund me my money, they should call that place " Dum & Dummer" ! I gave them 1 star because there is no way to give a minus - 10.

Always a great choice to stop here to fuel up when we are towing our travel trailer. Plenty of room to move around, a nice store and restaurant inside. Plenty of parking in parking lot to take a rest.

Two big RV pumps with sewer drains and propane. A great Denny’s restaurant with lots of parking

I feel that todays diesel is abnormal, with a yellowish, cloudy color and a distinct sour taste. DEF doesnt look normal and doesnt smell as pungent as it should.Hope my truck will work normally without any problem.

Thank you for all that you both do and for showing GREAT customer service this morning. Even with the rude driver yelling when i tried to move to the side to let them go so that he could hush, you stopped me and said "no, youre important too"! That made my day! Shout out to the night shift! Keep doing what you do! I know at best as a customer sometimes we are hard to deal with.

Very clean restrooms and polite service. Miguel or "Jr." is especially to be singled out for his politeness, enthusiasm, and attention to detail for making restroom cleaner than Ive ever seen it and I have been stopping for fuel here for years.

Beware using your credit card on this gas station. I just purchased $20 gas using my credit card and got another charge of $151.

I decided to come here on a Friday afternoon because I dont need to unload until Monday in L.A. Everythings great until I go to auto-program my tv. No over-the-air channels ?! Thats ok, I can just watch streaming tv on my computer. Whats this? WiFi not working? Now what? I try calling inside to see if its on my end or theirs but the number listed is disconnected. Im parked right next to the WiFi antenna and barely get any signal at all. Premium internet that I pay for isnt working. Nice, now Im stuck here all weekend with no entertainment. Guess I can walk over to In-N-Out burger, thats about 30 minutes of satisfaction. So far, I saw a "trucker fight" in the parking lot (loland a guy walking around with his dog, begging for money. Also, dont forget your mask. They will yell at you from the front counter but at least they offer you a free one. Think Im gonna have to make a move tomorrow and try the one in Mira Loma.

Good size parking lot, has lots of free spots still available at 5:30pm. Showers were nice and good size and clean. My problem was barely warm water for the shower. The faucet water was scalding hot but barely warm for the shower. Very disappointed! Then went to buy food and water and got chased out because I didn’t have a mask. Don’t like that kind of mask police to buy some dinner. Won’t be back if I can help it. Disappointed trucker….

I got here at 9pm local time. Booked a spot 8 hours ago. Place was already full.DRIVERS BEWARE: This place does take their parking lot seriously. Tucumcari and Albuquerque need to learn from this place. You will not be permitted to park anywhere here that is not a designated spot. No matter how out of the way you may or may not be. Do not do it.There are a lot of trucks parked on the street. And California does have a lot of extended shoulders that are meant for trucks.I have not even gone inside. But this lot is well lit, maintained, and you can maneuver without the stress of hitting another truck.Shout out to the guy who has the job of waking truck drivers to make them move all night. Im sure he doesnt get any love. But its a job that needs to be done. That dude is on point.Our industry wide parking issues shouldnt be taken out in the messengers or the establishments that do try to provide safe places for us to shut down. Please go lobby your local and state government officials to get us more parking. Good luck drivers.

The diesel price on the large sign displays one rate, and when you come to the pump it is completely another! Cash or credit rate is not disclosed anywhere. While being parked at night was forced to move three times. Real negative experience here. Lining at the registers needs an organized system. The night before they told me to stand in the middle and then the other people were cutting from the sides. This morning the two cashiers move from one to another register, so you need to chase them with loaded hands??? Very frustrating!

Made a pit stop here on my way to Colorado. Angelique greated us with a friendly smile. I was very impressed with her efficiency with keeping the line moving. I wanted to take the time and and say THANK YOU to Angelique for restoring my faith, that people can still be friendly and provide great customer service.

Good truck stop gets super busy

Usually this place is broken or the fuel pumps dont work or something doesnt work. Today everything worked and they even have a good food menu

Great place to fill up and all the other things RVs and trailers need. We wish there was s better sign though, we didnt see the RV pumps until it was too late.Ample parking, great restaurants inside and around the Travel center. Friendly staff, great selections of products, and clean.Will definitely stop in the future.

Nice and clean!I stop here everytime going and coming to Cali. I like stopping here versus stopping on Main Street. Flying J is always clean. Bathrooms are very clean also

Stopped in here tonight, and let me tell you what. I thought all of the good truckstops were gone but boy was I wrong! I recieved nothing but AAA+ service tonight here. The staff was absolutely the most professional, and courteous workers that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in a Flying J. Parking lot is also nice,, and smooth with very well lit spots. The Dennys was very on point as well. Our food came out excellent, which is not very common at most locations. The waitress on duty tonight was absolutely the sweetest as well. She was also on top of everything, and anything the customers needed. I am very pleased with my visit, and will be making this my regular stop as I haul in, and out of LA every week.

I often stop here if needed a rest when traveling to and from California. This place has gas, restroom, showers, convenient food. They have place that you can walk around a bit if you need. Spacious parking lot and friendly services. Highly recommended.

This Flying J is in the most perfect spot because it is totally surrounded by so many great restaurants! But, youll have to get here early to get a parking spot. It tends to fill up quick!

Need to be there early if you need to park, it stays pretty full. Usually pretty quiet, clean, & friendly employees. Theyre food always seems to be fresh & cooked properly. Nice place to park.

Something in the coffee here. This pilot / j really stands out with great people. Gabby got coffee pods for me without hesitation from their store room, and everyone else was making the most of getting through a busy day. Ruby greats everyone enthusiastically. Jonathan and Mike were powering through.Great shower and the whole nine yards. Id make sure to visit this spot when passing through.

Flying Js has a great reputation on the road and this stop does not disappoint. The folks who work at this location are awesome. Theyre helpful, kind and I really appreciated being able to stop here.The store has everything you need. Fuel prices are great, the RV dump price is fair as well. Theyve got breakfast sandos, pizza, that charging thing you forgot and everything in-between.Thanks for being fantastic!

I had close to half a tank of fuel stolen from my truck last night. I was parked in the corner near the comfort suites.Wow have to update my review lol. Stopped in here today to buy a road pro lunchbox cooker and find out they sold me a used one that doesnt even work. Is it a common practice for pfj to repackage returns and sell them as if they are new? These stupid people at this store didnt even bother to figure out why it was returned. They just put it back on the shelf.

Shower was nice. Hot and good pressure. Rarely have pilot/flying j credits, and they seem to be the nicest, most of the time.Walked in, apparently theyre letting some bum lady sleep on the floor by the arcade machines. And idk how nobody noticed her? I just glanced over there. Shoes off. Laying on a pile of scratch offs. Classy.

Everything is there but NO SHOELACES but you wont really miss them.....

Have nothing bad to say about this location. The parking lot is huge and very spacious. Lots of room for trucks. Restrooms were very clean. I did have a problem with the shower but the staff quickly rectified the problem and apologized. There is an outlet located across the street and lots of places to eat. Staff always greets you when you walk in and its an overall pleasant visit. They have restrooms by the showers and the Dennys for customers convenience.

Easy parking, HOT showers and finally GOOD coffee... 2 thumbs up

Facility great. Everything in good repair. Landscaping looks good. Expect 15 minute wait at Cash Register because there is only one cashier on weekends. Pathetic. Plenty of traffic, no personnel on duty. Cmon, Flying Pilot! Tell your Managers to add staff or get out of the Office!

Great parking ,clean showers. lots of different places to eat at IHOP, Del Taco ,Dennys ,Chipotle, Etc. Bigger than average drivers lounge.

Clean, nice restrooms has anything you could need or want while traveling and the staff was so friendly. The cashier was very personable and I left with a good impression. But to be honest even if the place had been messy her customer service would be enough to make me come back.
