We had the set lunch and degustation menu. Every dish was delicious, well balanced and just a delight to eat. Would definitely recommend it!

Great ambience, lovely service. Food is artistic and flavours are fresh and full of umami. However this is not for those with big appetite. Portions are small.

Came here for my brothers birthday; overall service acceptable but mediocre for a Michelin rated restaurant.Food wise was sorely disappointed. Canapés had no chemistry, purpose and seemed to be put together for the sake of it. A blanched broccoli that was laced with salt — so salty we could barely swallow. Alright foie gras but nothing special. Quail egg just tasted as it sounds… like egg with a dry shortcrust pastry that was tasteless.Lobster bisque with caviar was delightful. Mopped up every last bit. Sourdough bread was alright, nothing special but appreciated that they gave another plate of it when asked. Ravioli / Potato was nothing to shout about. Little heavy handed on the cream and overall, their food is on the saltier side.Scallop dish was quite nice, medium to rare scallop but was also dressed with a really salty chicken jus. Butternut purée was insufficient in quantity to really cut through.Seabass was again nothing spectacular, skin could’ve been crispier. Beef was really the star of the day — melt in your mouth with buttery smooth Celeriac purée. Only thing I would remember from today.I was sorely disappointed with dessert. Rum baba was actually great, we then asked for more rum and an elderly server came and doused then entire dish with rum even when we asked him to stop. He ended up flooding the entire cake such that it became soggy and overly alcoholic. He mentioned “that’s the only way to eat it”. It ended up spoiling the entire dish and we had to squeeze rum out just to even continue with a few bites. Ended up leaving the rest as it was inedible and ruined.No effort to the petit fours as well. Raspberry gummy was weird and cheap tasting. Chocolate truffle was fine. Some hard cookie with random scribbles of strawberry jam— another after thought.Overall, weird vibes I got from this entire meal and menu. It didn’t really go well, and I don’t really see the “french” cooking technique or style within all of these. It was also all really salty and just seemed like the accompaniments were bought from a pre-packaged snack. I see the great reviews and wonder if it was just a bad day but I’m not sure if the techniques and planning put into the dishes were even worth the almost $400 we spent on 3 pax.

Visited the restaurant for a weekly date with Hubby. Carelessly reserved the wrong date. Was disappointed. The ambience looks bright and elegant and the menu promising. To my horror, my reservation was cancelled. I did not cancel it. Did the restaurant unilaterally cancel my reservation? If so, how presumptuous!

1st time tried French Cuisine, quite nice experience though.

Had a Saturday lunch, degustation menu. As a fine dining restaurant, the service can improve such as providing envelopes for facemasks, louder and clearer voice when explaining the dishes. Very good quality ingredients, but bland overall to me. Difficult to notice complexity in some of the dishes. White asparagus with Panchetta and Scallops with Leek were my favorite. Amuse bouche and the main (Le Boeufwere my least favorite. The beef jus with the main was too salty, almost like soy sauce. Looking back at the menu on the website, I wonder why we got the white Asparagus instead of Foie gras 😅 maybe I have overlooked the menu at the restaurant?Wine pairing was superb though. Lifted experience well. Nicely selected wines.Heard the chef Lozachmeur was out of town today, so may have to come back again later.

Had the Fleur de Sel set lunch at $78++. Actually wanted to give 3.5 stars but since I can’t, I’ll just rate it as 4 stars. Ambiance and decor are great. One small issue is that the waitstaff are usually standing very close by, which made it slightly difficult for us to openly state our opinions on the food during our conversation.Started with sourdough bread [4/5 stars] — bread was decent but personally didn’t like the taste of their butterNext is canapés [3/5 stars] — there were broccoli, fish roulade and quail egg with parmesan biscuit. Only the quail egg was good.Appetiser was New Zealand poached egg with spinach and caviar [3.5/5 stars] — it was supposed to be beef tartare but we switched it. Decent but nothing spectacular.Next was lobster bisque with lobster chunks and caviar [5/5 stars] — this was the highlight of our meal! The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, super savoury. I would come back here just to eat this as a main.The main was duck leg confit with white asparagus [4/5 stars] — would have been 4.5 stars if the duck leg wasn’t so salty. The flavours of the dish overall were good, just need to tone down the saltiness of the duck.Dessert was tiramisu and petit fours [3/5 stars] — a little too sweet. Tiramisu was ok but have had better ones.Still thinking about the wonderful lobster bisque.

Had the degustation menu for my wife’s birthday which was something else - amazing lobster, scallops, pigeon, crab and the rest. Very friendly staff too. Would highly recommend!

Overall an enjoyable experience in a warm cosy atmosphere and setting.Food was well executed, with flavours standing out appropriately in each dish. Uncomplicated and delightful French fare. Short and informative explanations were given before every dish which gave diners a quick snapshot of what it contained and how flavours are brought together.Service was great, staff were friendly and polite and subtly attentive checking in with us on the food often with good initiative shown. Chef also came around to check in with us on the food and strike up some friendly banter.Ambience was enjoyable, with music playing softly in the background. Place is perfect to celebrate intimate occasions. No pressure given to us to leave despite staying slightly beyond extended hours.

Dined here for lunch on 17 April. Overall the experience was ok.However, the meal started with an amuse-bouche which had scales in it. I sent it back because it felt like plastic in the mouth and tasted vile (I think it was either trout or salmon which they had cut from the blood vein which gave it a very unpleasant taste). The waiter then told us that the dish was meant to taste like that and then left which made the whole situation quite awkward, and it felt quite condescending. I left it alone because I didn’t want to ruin the meal, but I knew it wasn’t right because my partner did not have scales in theirs. Food after that was fine, nothing exceptional.

Excellent dinner, sincere, fine and elegant food, beautiful decor, great wine. Will come back.

I came here for lunch the other day and had a delightful meal with delightful company. The atmosphere inside is warm and spacious, relaxed and airy. This is not a brasserie or bistro, so don’t expect a menu with all the classic French dining options. There are plenty of places to go if you want that, and you can find several among my other reviews. The experience here is more intimate and akin to fine dining. They had two set menus available. There are no options to choose within the sets but the chef will happily customize anything to accommodate any dietary issues. We had the basic lunch set rather than the degustation menu. Everything was tasty and the presentation was lovely. We also added in a cheese course for sharing before the dessert. They have a nice selection and we got a range of four types. Service was very good and the chef frequently came around to present the dishes and check on our experience. Lunch was also pleasantly relaxed and not rushed. With limited seating still in effect, many places have time limits on dining, but not here. It was nice to be able to chill and enjoy the meal. I think the overall value proposition was also quite good. I would definitely go back.

Brought a friend there for belated bday dinner. To my surprise, we are the only table there on a Friday night.The staff were very attentive and polite to us.As we are both small eaters, we ordered a set to share between us.The staff actually went extra mile to spilt every course into 2 portions for us and gave us extra portion for small items such as desserts.The garnishing looks great and food wise was decent. Very clean place and Id recommend people to visit.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary in this nice French restaurant. Delicious French food and service staff are very warm and hospitable. Got a pleasant surprise when the restaurant offered a slice of yummy chocolate cake for our special day…

4 stars because the steak was a little dry and doesn’t look or tasted like a medium steak. Other than that, everything else’s good.

After one month of lockdown my husband and me finally get the chance to celebrate our civil wedding’s dinner celebration together. Being married to a French, we went for the chef’s special set menu DEGUSTATION, it was really a very pleasant classic french inspired cooking. The food is well-balanced with the food originally sweetness not over powering by the seasoning. French inspired herbs can be found in some of the dishes to bring up the flavour of the ingredients. We both truly enjoy the evening and Chef Alex is very friendly enjoying small chat with the customers at the end of the evening. I really like the open kitchen concept and the casual fine dinning atmosphere, despite this is a Michelin star fine dinning restaurant. Definitely, look forward to celebrate our future anniversary in this special place again!

Welcoming, courteous, professional and attentive staff. Minimal waiting time for food despite it being almost full house. Delicious value-for-money French cuisine. I appreciated that all the staff kept their masks properly worn throughout the time I was there. To top it off we received a warm greeting from the head chef aka boss himself and his wife, after a little chat they realised it was our 23rd anniversary and as if by magic a pleasant surprise in the form of a complimentary piece of cake with a candle appeared before us! Dining in a restaurant of this calibre is not just about the food but also about the experience. 100 marks for that!

The service here is great. We chose the Fleur de Sel set lunch priced at $58. For the mains, I preferred the duck to the monk fish. The hokkaido scallop was exquisite and I love the Amuse-bouches and bread which we took with unsalted butter sprinkled with flavoured salt. However, I wasnt impressed with the dessert nor the les escargot.

Loved my experience at Fleur De Sel! Every dish was well balanced and extremely tasty - we liked the duck the most! Enjoyed the wine pairing too, the Chablis was outstanding

The whole place was refurbished and looks very bright and cosy. The food and service is perfect and gives a super gourmet experience(the lunch menu is also very good value for money, I absolutely recommend)

Comparing the other French restaurants , I quite a surprise to find this decent French restaurant serves quality of Feng cuisines. Quite a valuable 6 courses Omakase dinner when at $168. Came here to celebrate my wife birthday and enjoy the food with good ambiance.. except slightly bright! Open kitchen to see chef in action. Attentive waiters and waitress with excellent service. Worth a visit ..!

I don’t eat french food often so I’m not sure what’s the benchmark for french cuisine but the food here is good. More than the taste, I enjoyed the presentation, the attentive and friendly staff, and the pace of the courses. We had a five course meal for about $130+ per person.

Good simple French food. Set lunch at $68 is really worth it. In terms of taste alone, it is better than some of the 1 Michelin star restaurant. I love the French/European looking ambience of the restaurant. I think the only reason why it did not get its Michelin star its because the food lacks creativity visually and texture of the food is not there. Anyway, I like the food, and i will be go back.

Unbeatable French Lunch set in Singapore.Fantastic food quality for $58 lunch set. Its at the level or even better than some Michelin star restaurants. The chef has really his own signature style that you can feel even for a lunch set. We even added the cheese for $22 which is more than reasonable given the options and quality, first time I see Corsica cheese in Singapore.Wine selection by the glass is quite limited but the staff can give really good advice on the best pairing so thats fine.I will come back for dinner for sure.

Set lunch is affordable. There’s 2 chefs in the open kitchen and food takes time to come out. But it was generally nice. Was satisfied with the food.Went again on 29/12/20 had Christmas set

Mediocre for the price. Perhaps it was because the resident chef wasn’t present? It could be the execution but the flavours didn’t meld together well. The scallops were downright bland and the sauce for the beef wasn’t reduced enough, resulting in a thin liquid that lacked depth. Disappointing experience as the menu looked appealing. Personally I won’t return... the 3 star rating is more for the decent service than the food.

Rich and flavourful French food. Set lunch is great value. Beware though if you would like the cheese platter after let them know at the start otherwise they keep the cheeses and dont bring it out again

Good for business lunches- I had their $58 lunch menu with 4 dishes consisting of Lobster Bisque, Ravioli, Steak and Dessert. I like the ambience too and service was fantastic. However I’m not the biggest fan of French style dining with a slightly stuffy ambience so my 3 stars review is probably a biased one skewed towards my personal preference.

Phenomenal experience. The food was outstanding, great portions and balance in the dishes, service impeccable, decoration very nice. We will be back when the menu changes, which is every 2-3 months. Thanks to the whole team!

Great executive lunch menu. Very well presented and tasty french food. Lobster bisque is lovely. They also have an amazing wine list.

Food was good but could be better. One of the dish was too salty. I know the emphasis of the place is the sea salt the place is named after but it was just a little too much. The dish below looks great but the deep fried chicken skin had a taste that didnt blend well with the rest of the dish. Service was also a little patchy. While table service were good and attentive, they were pretty noisy in the background. The restaurant has a fine French restaurant setting. Very lovely but the ambience was marred by sound of cutleries being thrown about in the background like what you get in the kopitiam. I give this place a 4 instead of a 3 because in spite of all these, the food, ambience and service is actually quite good value for money.

Came here for our 10 year anniversary lunch yesterday and their set lunch turned out to be great. They also gave us a little cake for us to celebrate, which was a nice touch.We only wished that the waiter gave us the same attention as he did for the other diners, as we noticed that we were the only ones that wasnt told what our dishes contained when served.That said we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the food - we were delighted that we finally found a place that serves excellent french food but at reasonable prices. The chef also seemed friendly! Looking forward to our next visit and we would recommend this place!

Omakase French style. Great wine selection, friendly staff who really know their cheeses and wine! Try the grandma’s cake!

Small, quiet place. Give you a comfortable and casual feeling rather than a Michelin star formal one. Good for a business lunch or dinner date.Set lunch was reasonably priced but portions are small. The four course set will not have leftovers even for small eaters. Each course was beautifully plated. Taste was great.You can park along Tras Street but usually its full. Orchid Hotel carpark is the good alternative.

Despite all tables being reserved, when I walked in and asked for a table, Connie explained they were full and if I was fine with the high counter seat instead of turning me away. Happy to take the high counter seat. I chose the Executive Set Lunch $48 which had Lobster Bisque, Lemon Sole and Rum Baba. Flavourful dishes. Being full house did not in any way hinder the service and quality of food, both of which were top-notch. Thanks for the wonderful lunch.

Dine in last week and enjoyed the lobster bisque soup. Trout taste was just average, food presentation was cool.Service was consistent staff will look after you very well.

Kudos to service - very attentive, polite staff. The food is decent. Nothing to shout about. I prefer their lunch menu - it’s good value for money. We had the degustation menu, the food tasted decent, just don’t expect surprises or dishes to wow. But I do like their wine & port selection. And they also have a good selection of cheeses.
