Flaveur - Haute French restaurant in Nice, France
We are from South Korea for a trip in Nice.We wanted traditional and delicious French food! We was so lucky to eat “Flaveur”!!and one more thingWe was so happy that the staffs were so professional and so nice!!!I absolutely recommend “Flaveur”🙂😊
A torturously slow succession of forgettable dishes that justified neither the money nor the time spent.
Incredible doesnt begin to describe the experience. Only thing to mention is that you should expect to spend about 40 minutes per course, which is totally worth it. We arrived for our 7:45 reservation 5 minutes early and left just after 1am. Just be prepared for that, but its totally worth it!
An amazing lunch - my wife and I had the six course menu and chose a bottle of Frederic Savart champagne - a perfect combination! All six courses, the additional small snacks and the service were excellent and we are looking forward to visit again next time we are in Nice
It was amazing
This restaurant can get three stars for the slowness of the service. The first dish was served to us an hour and a half later. We arrived at 7:30 pm, left at 11:30 pm, and didnt finish the program. If we had waited further to complete the course, we would have needed another hour. The food was delicious, but the hour-long wait between servings ruined the evening.
One of the best Michelins restaurants in the world! Service and food were outstanding! ❤️❤️❤️P.S. We took the full experience menu.
4.5 hour meal. Excellent food but service, ambience (air conditioning issue), and meal pacing was lacking for a 2 Michelin Star restaurant, overall disappointing.
The food was delicious, and the service was very nice.I wish the pricing was more obvious since we got charged 32$ for 4 bottles of water. We were also seated first at 730pm and one of the last to leave 12am, definitely long breaks in between courses while others seated after us got courses before us. It was very confusing. We enjoyed the experience but will not be coming back.
Spectacular meal deserving of its 2 stars. Flavors were interesting without trying to hard. We were short on time so got the 5 course menu, but the chef kindly still gave us a bit of lobster to enjoy.
I have been to many Michelin Restaurants globally but this one is the very disappointing one.Food is ordinary and the speed of serving food is extremely slow , unnecessary slow and unbelievably slow !
Very nice place, food very interesting and absolutely fantastic
Just amazing. 4 wine pairings, 6 course ( each with many ‘mini-courses’)! We were seated at 7:30, didn’t walk out until 11:00! It cost 550 Euros (Christmas gift from our son!but was amazing. On a small side street (Gubernatisbut it was a safe area! They have been there for 14 years. Photos explain it all.
The best restaurant I have ever been to!!The food was on a different level! It was just perfect and tasty. The waiters were amazing. They deserved that big tip!And the chef came to say hello. They deserve their michelin stars. I cant wait to visit them again someday!
Fresh and exotic ingredients, presentation is inspired from Japanese cuisine Kaiseki, and beautifully done. Some seafood dishes were way too salty and waiters explained that their chefs didnt add any salt.... the order of serving is somehow strange, still dont understand why they kept customers who ordered meat watching others eating homard and then kept those who had lobster to watching others eat meat, instead of serve us all together. We arrived the restaurant at 19:30, when all courses were served, it was midnight. In conclusion, it was ok tasty, fresh food, but too expensive. Dont think they deserve Michelin 2 stars, thats why I only give 3 stars review
Delicious Michelin starred food, a bit too classical flavours for my taste. The downside was the location, decor and service. It feels a little old fashioned and the experience doesnt match up to the food, it took almost 1 hour to get the first courses.Overall, I feel like I overpaid for an experience which was not worth the full 2 stars.
Very nice service and delicious food! Only I would have wished to have a bit more time for each meal. It seemed, they tried to prepare everything for every guest at the same time regardless of the time you started.
As close to perfection as it can get. Wonderfully executed tasting menu, just the right mix between classical with an island twist and a surprising yet masterfully executed incorporation of exotic ingredient. Attentionned and precise service without some of the stiffness of other starred Michelin restaurant. Truly an amazing experience
Best restaurant in Nice. And only one with two Michelin stars in Nice. Very good wine list. Friendly service.
Such an experience!Yes, its very expensive but very much worth it.Magnificent in every way.
Amazing experience! Not food but art! Everything was great. The lamb is incredible perfect and the desert is more than can imagine! Try a coffee in the end and youll not regret!
Absolutely deserves 2 Michelin stars. One of the more amazing meals Ive experienced after 20 years of cooking.
We ordered the 68 euro prix fixe and had many requests for accommodations/ alterations as my brother doesnt eat any fish or pork or dairy! It seems sometimes that his food restrictions makes for even better meals, as the chef has to be creative while maintaining the same quality of food! The servers were extremely professional, konwledgeable and friendly and all spoke English.
A truly disappointing experience. The worst service of any Michelin starred restaurant I’ve been to, and while the first few courses were good it simply wasn’t enough to make up for the fact that courses took 30-45 minutes between them and we were without beverages for most of that waiting time, even after requesting glasses of wine multiple times.I honestly think the Michelin critic got this confused with another restaurant in Nice when doling out two stars. Don’t waste (an obscene amount ofyour time here - there are too many other better restaurants in the city!
Food: no highlight. Slightly salty.Service: below average. Didn’t accommodate the birthday guest for a window table even though there were other available tables the entire night.Unnecessarily slow. I have been to enough Michelin star or fine dining. The courses especially with the menu chosen could have been served much faster. Not sure if it’s directly related but the fact is after the dinner I went to toilet (no2twice within 5 hours.
So many wonderful little flavours.
Life changing. Didnt know my tongue had all these nooks and crannies to taste all this flavour.
Fantastic Food and Fantastic service. Dont understand why people complain about overall time for the menu in some cases. Its not fast food, and its absolutely in range with other multiple star restaurants. We have been there with 2 small Kids (4Y&7Y), and it was not a problem at all, I was even given the choice a few hours before what the kids would prefer as main dish. Also the kids were always included in the canapes, although they didnt ordered the menu. Just to give them a chance to taste new flavour. Loved to see the kids were treated with the same respect as adults.Full recommendation!
Honestly, the best restaurant experience of my life. I can not recommend this highly enough!
Hands down 6 stars for the food. But it took us 90 minutes to be served the bread!! (Which is not even done inhouseAnd after 2.5 hours we were served our forst course. You cant keep people staring at your dull interior, and cobstruction outdoors, for 4-5 hours. Fix the setting and service speed and you are easily 5*
This was our best food and wine experience ever! We had the set 3 course set lunch menu but enjoyed at least 6! Each morsel was phenomenal. My husband and I were in heaven for 3 hours. Amazing French wine recommended by the maitre d’ who was so professional yet relaxed, attentive and warm. He really made our experience extra memorable. Merci !!Absolutely worth it. I can’t imagine a better dining experience!
My partner and I stumbled across this place while site seeing. It was 5 pm and we thought wed try and get a booking for the night. The Maître D kindly accepted our booking (they were closed at the time and we were dressed _super_ causally). We enjoyed the degustation and wines. The food is a alternative with quite involved creative ideas.
Unique experience with amazing food and service.Every minute of the dinner gave us both stimulating flavors, interesting textures and great service. The staff presented the ingredients in each dish in an interesting way. From where the fish was caught, who caught it and all the minor details. We really liked the staff and the smile on their face each time they came over to our table.
Food doesnt impress me. My KEY issue is it takes a lot of time for the food to be served. Not worth the 2 Stars! Michelin pls wake up!
We booked through the Michelin website, and unfortunately, there was an error, leaving us unable to dine there. However, the chef came out personally to apologize for the mix-up, and booked us a table at a local bistro called La Maquis. We had an excellent meal there and were told at the end that the chef at Flaveur would be picking up the tab! We were very surprised by this generosity and will definitely try Flaveur again if we are back in Nice.(Word of advice: book directly with Flaveur rather than the Michelin website!)
Superb!! I dined at 4 Michelin star restaurants in Nice over the course of 6 days. Hands down, Jan and Flaveur were my top 2 favorites. From the service, to the presentation, to the multiple dimensions and progressions of flavor, it was superb. Excellent!!
Truly one of the best fine dining experiences I have had! The staff is amazing and attentive. They have considerable knowledge of wines, whiskeys, and rum. Their pairing is on par and worth it to bring the dishes even more to life. The food is creative yet evocative, their attention to flavour and texture being complementary to each other is unmatched. I highly recommend the 7 course meal. They take the Michelin dining experience to a new whole level and I loved it.Seriously drop what your doing and go eat there, it is worth the price. Make sure to have reservations before going.
Excellent!
Food, service and presentation magnificent, we had the set menu with paired wines, a wonderful evening.
Even though it’s expensive side for michelin 1 star(minimum lunch course 58euroit’s soooooo much worth it. The dishes were very very very beautiful, sophisticated, uses really valuable ingredients. Also the servers were super nice, caring(even to foreigners).
We had an amazing experience here.
Best meal Ive ever had.
Food was delicious and beautifully served, dishes were rich in taste. We tried the 3-course menu (75 eur per personand received numerous amuse-bouches which were very creative. The food was served with fresh delicious buns and salted butter which was to die for. A total highlight for me personally!Service was very friendly and professional, both waiters spoke very good English.A minor minus for us was the inconsistent waiting time between meals. Also, while the buns were very tasty, the breads that were offered later did not meet our expectations because they were not that soft and did not seem very fresh.
Pure art, fresh cuisine, full of sensations, intense flavors and, at the same time, delicate. Great chefs, great room manager. Pairings with very suggestive French wines. If you go Nice it is a must
Great food, service it amaizing
Amazing food and great staff!
Great food, very thoughtful presentation BUT it went horribly wrong towards the end. One of our friends joined us for a chat (whos actually the one recommended Flaveur and booked the table for uswhile we were half way through desert, and the chef told our friend to leave the place if hes not having dinner, even though the restaurant was not full at that time. This is so surprising and not acceptable. We quickly paid the bill and left. And when we got home we found we were over charged - instead of one bottle of rosé we had, we were somehow charged for two bottles, and one of our friends had a three-course meal but was charged for four courses (the two mistakes together had us overcharged for €80). This is just not acceptable. A good start from the good food is totally ruined by the attitude and mistakes on our bill.
Exceptional! Wonderful flavours and imaginative dishes and perfectly cooked and presented the matched wines were of excellent quality the La Cerisaie maury a new wine to me and a wonderful accompaniment to the chocolate. waiters were very friendly explained all in english and service could not be faulted.
If you are in Nice and you want a unique experience please visit Le Flaveur restaurant. The food is a wonderful combination of flavours and the service is superb .We had an evening we shall not forget.
