Relaxed brewpub offering housemade beers, plus burgers, wings & other casual eats.
Absolutely delicious! I want to go back to try other things, but this "Ring of Fire" burger was fantastic! Staff was friendly, beer was great!
The beer was good but the food is so so. My burger bun was burnt and the chili my friend had was so spicy he couldnt eat it. Spendy for what you get. Not sure Id go back for the food. Good service though.
Liked the service & bar tender was fun ! I pray that the old owner gets well (Ian Duncan& i pray for his Wife & kids ! Thank you for once believing in me .
Went there tonight for the first time. Wasnt to busy, probably because it was a Sunday night. Sportbar type of feel, very nice. Staff was great and attentive. Menu has a decent list of options. I had the Flat Tail Hamburger.....so good. I would definitely recommend trying this place out, it will not disappoint
This brewery pumps out some great tasting innovative brews that are more than worth the trip to the pub for. Ive had a couple of flights and numerous pints, and everything Ive tasted regardless of style varies from good to exceptional. The happy hour deals here are great and Im particularly fond of their waffle fries and their tamales.
Great food. Specialise in sour beer, so if you like sours this is the place to go. Other beers are ok.
Late night happy hour is the best, and the deep fried cheese curds might seem a bit spendy but they are totally worth it! Also the staff is always super nice and they love dogs (outdoor seating is available if you want to eat with your pup).
One of our favorite places to eat downtown. Cannot believe they got rid of their waffles fries. It was one of many reasons we like it there. But the frickles are the best! I have tried them at many other places and they don’t even come close to Flat Tail. But please, bring back the waffle fries....seriously. 😉
Great seating options. especially in the summer, but the food is just OK. They lost Tony a while back and its reflected in the kitchen effort. Still an ok place to go, but they get so busy it also costs them in the staff/customer service department too, as others have noted.
I had lunch here on September 17th with five other friends. And was surprised when I got my bill that a 20% gratuity was added on to it. I apparently missed seeing that on the menu. And to be honest It didnt make me very happy because I didnt get 20% tip service. Our server while pleasant only took our order brought our drinks and our food and that was it. Our server never came back to ask how our food was if we needed another drink or anything. Now I always tip but I tip according to the service I got or get. And to be honest I could have got the same service at a McDonalds. So, if you dont want to have a 20% gratuity added on to your check if youre with more than five others, then I would suggest you go to McMenamins. they never add a gratuity to your bill regardless of how many people are in your party or how many separate checks are asked for.
Flat Tail is always a 5 star experience; be it packed to the teeth on game day or a laid back summer late morning. Great nachos, awesome burgers & quaffable beer. See you again soon.
Not a very good experience today. We werent feeling the beer and our food was disappointing. Also, they dont have car seat holders for babies in carriers. Had to set my baby on the ground which was fine for her she just slept through it.
On of the best things about this location is the outdoor seating AND they recently expanded it. The traffic is really light on front street at that end; so sitting outside, enjoying your food, while people watching is a good experience. My husband likes the beer and they do have other drink options besides. The food is typical pub food - plentiful and decent, but nothing spectacular. My husband and I enjoyed our Moco Loco dish.
Trivia is awesome on Wednesday nights! Food is bar/pub food, the wait staff service can be lacking but the bar tender is generally pretty great.
Very delicious clam chowder, followed by a Black and Tan sandwich with sweet potato tots. Yummy. Had the special Resilience IPA to go with everything. A filling meal served by a server who worked hard to get all six dishes out at the same time but we still had one come late.
My favorite place in Corvallis. Chicken Tenders are the best in town, try the BBQ sauce with them it’s amazing ( just the right amount of spicy), The beer and craft cocktails are amazing and like nothing else you can find in town. There is always something fun and new. I.E. Beer with Cacao in it, Nitro Cocktails (the Jungle Juice is a pineapple lovers dream), and a great “Cheers” style vibe, a great place to be a regular. If you haven’t spent some time there, you are missing out.
Pretty good service and the food was above average. My only real complaint is that all of the beers were either IPAs or weird flavored ..... Cucumber lime habenero is not a thing. Try brewing some traditional beers and get that down before venturing too far out. Its not necessary to have 6 IPAs and no porters, stouts, brown ales, English ales or lagers.
Nice surprise that they have good wine as well as lots of beer choices. We went happy hour and had several items, all good. Salad, wings, and a chicken tamale that was excellent.
The service was okay, the food took a long time to come out. I got an avocado chicken salad, the chicken was supposed to be flavored, but as far as I could tell it was just boiled plain. Never the less, my boyfriend and I both woke up with upset stomachs (we both had some of each others food, he had the turkey tacos). Just very unfortunate for the both of us, especially since its such a popular spot and the beer is good.
Good beer selection with seasonal cocktails. The staff was knowledgeable about the beer and my glass didnt stand empty for more than two minutes. I was there during happy hour to watch the college world series. The food menu for happy hour was affordable with something for everyone. Go Beavers!
Decent beer and wine for a reasonable price. Inside and outside seating just opposite the river. We didn’t eat, so can’t speak for the food.
Great brewpub option in Corvallis with full bar and restaurant with typical American fare (burgers, tacos, etc). Positive vibes, and well kitted out with TVs showing various sporting events. Some of their inhouse beers are really enjoyable, with unique spins. Food is above average for casual eating, worth checking out!
We usually like this place and it is usually a good option with kids. Although you never know what is going on behind the scenes, it appeared they were not slammed tonight, but we never got water refills and my meal never arrived. My kids finished eating (they eat slowly!and I never saw the waiter to even inquire about my food. I realize I could have sought out a manager, but I was alone with 2 kids. I guess the main issue is being charged for a meal I had to take to-go. I never liked having to eat a meal as a waitress when I messed up, but sometimes it is the right thing to do if you want repeat customers. I normally only take time to write positive reviews, but this seemed pretty lame to me.
Cool place with a good vibe. I enjoy the beer here as well as the food. I was particularly impressed by the genuine friendliness of the servers. Get the black and tan sandwich on a pretzel bun. You wont regret it.
Not bad. Our server was very helpful. Well get back
5-star if service hadnt been so slow. Great and relaxed atmosphere, we sat outside and had a good time. The nacho appetizers were great, and so were our entrees. We will go back to try more dishes.
I ordered the fish and chips and the raspberry lime sour beer. The beer was very good. The fish was thick and juicy. The batter was thin (a good thing in my opinion). The “chips” weren’t very good, but whatever.
I have been to the brewery multiple times. I like their innovation with their beer. Awesome choices. The restaurant however has been just average. Its also a bit over priced for the value.
Great burgers and I love the nachos! Good beers too!My favorite spot in town to watch football.Servers always helpful and friendly!
Their burgers are very good(from a previous visitbut the service...or lack their of...really sucks. My husband and I went there tonight and sat outside. The server said shed be right back and after about 15 minutes still a no show. Another server went by twice, looked right at us, and kept on walking. No menu offered either. We left and went to 15 Barrel and had great food and exceptional service!
Ive never had something I didnt like here. Beer is amazing. Burgers are great. Fries/tots are great. Salads are wonderful. Every once and a while there are brewery tours. Id definitely recommend a tour. Daves awesome and loves answering questions about his beer and brewing style. Also, happy hour is fantastic!
Good burger and price. Nice patio area and they were open late. I also really liked their sour beer.
Ive been here a couple times. Food has been consistently OK. Not bad by any means, but the competition between brewpubs in Corvallis is tough. The beer is hit or miss. I appreciate they brew some standard beers that arent too hoppy. However, the more limited release experimental beers have almost always been disappointing. I usually just go for their normal beers now.
The fries and the marble rye BLT were simply amazing. Everything is so delicious, I cant recommend it enough 7/5 stars
Watching OSU vs. CSU Fullerton in Omaha at the College World Series! I concur in regards to the chicken basket. Beers selection is abundant, varied & delicious. Burgers, sweet potato tots, onion rings, and "OSU cheese curds" are fantastic. By the river, dog friendly with outdoor seating. Highly recommend🍻🌞
Best Italian Meatball sandwich I have ever had. The textures of the cheese and bread were perfect!
They have a nice selection of beers and their food is good. Happy hour is my favorite time to go and the happy hour menu prices are awesome. The fry baskets are delicious especially if you make it "dirty".
Great service, Friday special was flat tail burger for $9. Full action IPA was good. Outdoor seating was great on a sunny day.
Decent amount of food for the price. The beer was above average too, worth a visit!
Classic sports bar feel including plentiful Oregon state memorabilia. House beers are very good and the Thai chicken wings are outstanding. Full bar and varied menu. Staff is also exceptional.
I moved away two years ago but still go back regularly because I miss this place. The servers are friendly, the best sports/outdoor seating in town, great beers, and super happy hour!
One of the best lunch deals in town. They have daily specials which are always great. They have a great selection of beer from basic selections to some sours which are always exciting to try.
Solid food (the burger was definitely a surprise, in a great wayand the beer was very tasty. Nice amount of space inside as well so you dont feel like youre cramed in next to the table next to you. Great spot on game day too!
My husband and I just stopped to visit Flat Tail Brewing for lunch. We ordered lunch, I ordered the fish and chips, of which when I ordered the waitrest said was wild salmon not not a halibut. When she brought it to me it was a WHITE fleshed fish. I went inside to have them explain exactly what type of fish they were serving and the main person at the bar said he didnt know but would check with the cooks...quite a while later the waitress comes out...still not knowing or explanning anything about it...I just asked for not to be charged of which she agreed. Lets just say I wont be going back any time soon and they should get serious about what they are serving. Very disappointed.
Been here a couple times, food is pretty good, service is typically slow. Truly no big deal. However, my two friends and I went to lunch there yesterday and was NOT impressed. The waitress complains to us about our grumpy friend when he leaves to pay his check and a growler fill ends up being $20. Just the fill. Yes, we should have looked at the price, BUT when opened the growlers (for the first time since the fillthe next afternoon the beer is flat. Whoever filled them didnt tighten the caps. When called they simply said that our lids were bad and should get them replaced. Not sure my friends and I will be returning.
Weve only lived in town for about a month, but weve hit this place up 3 times since then. They have amazing food (The Monty with fried chicken is amazeballz, and super cheap at $10and we just tried their trivia last night on Wednesday and it was SoOoOo fun! Were so pumped to have a good trivia place in town - it was a lot of fun and very well organized! :)To be fair, their beer is not great compared to other places in town, but its decent and their atmosphere cant be beat! I highly recommend it!
I just wasnt that impressed. The food we got was fine, but the only beer that stood out was the cucumber one, which was surprisingly good. We had to wait far too long for our check, and even longer to get it picked up and returned.
Happy Hour 3-6 and 9-Close. Best priced chicken basket for 4$ with amazing homemade sauce. Combine that with a 4$ pint of great beer during happy hour and it makes for a great experience with friendly staff and atmosphere.
Love this brewery. El Guapo is hands down the best pepper beer Ive ever had. Plus they have an awesome atmosphere. A must stop for Beavers or beer fanatics.
Flat Tail Brewing is one of those rare places with the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the bars of old but with a very modern style. They are one of the best craft breweries Ive been to. Their beer is without doubt some of the best I have ever had, my favourite being the 6AM Stout followed closely by their Tailgater Kolsch. They also do a wonderful fish n chips and their Mushroom Swiss burger is arguably the best burger this side of the pond. If its a game you want to see or you just want to have a friendly afternoon pint with a bite to eat Id recommend Flat Tail Brewing. You will not be disappointed so whether you live in Corvallis or are just passing through pop in and decide for yourself.
