Everything was fine, big screen TV for watching PL live, special price for cocktails, nice food combo offer for tapas and sharing menu.

We sat on the middle floor and had a few beers. The staff are friendly and theres a good selection of beers.It has a nice relaxed vibe and the music is good too.

Superb bar on Matthew street, great atmosphere, very friendly and the best pint of Guinness around! 🍻

Food was amazing, piping hot and so tasty. Had the fish and chips and gosh it was delicious. Speed of service was the best ever. Food came out quickly too.

Been going here over40 years my kids and grandkids also been but today was let down being told the Lunch menu was finished for the day it was 3 pm anyway we ordered from main menu which was nearly double the £6 but later I saw the deal was from noon till 5 pm so I had been lied to so it left me with a nasty taste in my mouth and not from the foid

Get there before 5 to get the meal special,,excellent value for money, fish and chips and a pint of Guinness for £7.50 😋👍🏻

Went for the Champions League final and it was excellent (despite the result). Chaotic day with the football, but the staff were all brilliant. Bar staff, door people, everyone. Really well done!

Great food, service and beer! The bartenders went out of their way to take care of us. Would go back if in Liverpool again.

Atmosphere is amazing, the staff are absolutely outstanding, nothing is too big or small. The food is lovely, everything you want for a relaxed meal and drink or the place to be when liverpool are on the teles, wouldnt go anywhere else

I booked a table for my leaving drinks and Katie decorated everything amazingly and looked after us so well, definitely recommend coming here for special occasion, for after work drinks or for pre-drinks

We asked for dinner and they told us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, and invited us to sit down.Once we had a look at the menu and decided to tell the waitress what we wanted, he went to the kitchen and returned telling us we were not in time anymore to ask for food. He told kitchen clothes at 20:30h, and it was 20:34h.... Incredible situation!We insisted but he said it was not possible and didnt have any justification on why he told us we could ask for food in the next 10 minutes.Really bad experience!!

Atmosphere is fab and service is great. Bartender (think his name was Lewiswas super friendly and polite and great at recommending drinks.

We have been here the last 2 nights with a party of 6 people both young and old both eating and drinking open mic night was very entertaining and a bit of crack the staff were amazing helpful and friendly the food was delicious and the Guinness as very creamy would highly recommend

Great bar great people. Good long bar, good service great craig. Doorman didn’t let me back in after I popped outside for a cig not sure why but I’d had a few by then and the misses had had even more

Im editing my review from 7 months ago because everytime we come here the experience is better. The food is the best, good music and atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff (also very patient with our English 🤣). Definitely recommend for a night out, with family or friends, celebrations or if you enjoy watching sports (they have plenty TVs around the floors). Very good place! 👍🏻

What an amazing afternoon , great atmospher food and staff. A special thank you to Anne behind the bar who spoilt us all day and couldnt do enough gor me or my partner with great service from serving us food to serving us drinks down stairs on a reserved table . Really made our day and feel so special . All in all made it a brilliant day watching the rugby .

Amazing bar. I came in Saturday 26/02/2022 abit worse for wear😁woke up Sunday and realised id left my handbag somewhere. Retraced my steps and it was behind the bar in Flanagans.. everything was in my bag,cash cards and phone. My phone had died and theyd even recharged it.Thank you Anne & Colette absolute stars.Food was amazing too. So very grateful for your honesty.

Best place for brekkie in liverpool. Got the hearty breakfast was well worth the price. Great staff too especially Anne.

BEST GUINNESS IN LIVERPOOL ! If your drink is Guinness come here for a pint of the black stuff. The employees working here are incredibly friendly, especially Ben. I learned about the history of this street and the pub from them as I was having my Guinness poured to perfection! A must visit coming to Liverpool.

Stopped her for few perfect Guinness during my stay, food was great and good service from Ben and Dom, would recommend if in Liverpool

Stopped by here twice today, once for a coffee and check the place out, then returned this evening for dinner. Food was good and very reasonably priced. The place is spotlessly clean, service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Lovely food couldn’t fault any part of our visit, never been before, staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely young man on the bar (sorry didn’t catch his name (my hearing isn’t the besthe was training a new lad who was great really helpful and even came over to the table to make sure everything was ok with our food and drinks and if we needed anything else. Would definitely recommend especially the colcannon mash.

Food was overcooked. The onion rings side was cremated.My Mega Mixed Grill was cooked within an inch of its life,the 4oz steak was inedible.My wifes Philly Steak Sandwich was a disaster,one piece of edible steak.I wondered why it was so quiet in this bar in the Cavern Quarter. Its because the staff are inattentive, the food is a disaster,and when you have paid over 30 quid for bar food thats inedible,you wonder why. My wife complained,and got offered a single shot of the Gin she was drinking.Do not go eat here

A hidden gem on Mathew Street! Staff are so welcoming, from the minute you walk in they are attentive and informed me of their lunch deal. The food and atmosphere were amazing, shout out to Angus for looking after us!

Booked in advance and left deposit to book a seating area for a hen party of 17 people for food and drinks on 7.8.21 and disappointment is an understatement. Food was ridiculous slow arriving and at different stages..some of the ladies had eaten and had to wait 30 to 45 minutes before someone elses food arrived...being on a hen part i wanted quick food and out to dance...but this was not the case...staff were understanding and apologetic and I was informed after complaining they had two chefs down ..but I wasnt informed there would be a very long delay for food or given an option toStay or have our deposit back. Shame.

Great pub in an old building with massive beams and columns to add to the ambiance. Lunch and dinner food prices and specials are great value but unfortunately the drink prices are high especially for Liverpool. Not many places in the area are charging over £4 for a pint.
