Great views overlooking port chalmers
Great view and plenty of information up there. Shame it doesnt seam to actually drop and rise and more.
A piece of NZ history with the clock being set at the drop of a ball. Old navigation tool
Beautiful views
The biggest vessel docked in Port Chalmers
Great views of Port, excellent watching the container vessels get loaded and the general hustle and bustle of activities.
Fantastic views of Dunedin.
Interesting spot to see port and shipping channel
Good day good views shame about all the seagulls
Great place to take kids for a bit of an adventure
Great place to view the port operations
Awesome lookout great views of the port below and out to sea
Great place for ship spotting of overview the port and surrounds.
A great place to view Port Chalmers. Definitely worth a visit!
Great views.
You can get some good shots here. Overlooking the harbour and the small town
Easy to get to and great lookout just out from Dunedin city. Good coffee in this small place as well.
Amazing viewing point.
Gorgeous part of the country
Excellent views.
A must place to visit when on a New Zealand tour. Good place forcl a long walk followed by a snack lunch in the town.
Pleasant walk from the ship if cruising. I discovered there are a few sport climbing routes in this park. Fun short climbs and 1 multipitch route that leads to the top of the park. Definitely the most exciting thing to do in Port Chalmers.
A long walk up the steep hill, but the views at the top are definitely worth it.
Stunning view, especially if you have not seen the trees being loaded on a ship. Amazing. There was also a liner boarding people and The Artic Explorer there. The difference in those three ships is intriguing. Looking out to the bay was beautiful even though it wasnt that nice a day. Parking was a little tight after driving up the steep approach but we got in and out without a scratch so it was ok.
Busy little Port for Dunedin, an easy 20 minute drive away.
Great view off the bay but right next to the port. Difficult to get a good photo.
Great views from this look out of Auckland city and this place has a wonderful history behind it
Beautiful spot on a nice day to come with your children to watch the log haulers and containers be moved around the port.
Great view of this beach town and a hectic steep hike , if your fit you can do it in about 21min up and 17 down Including a few stops
what a wonderful view walked up here after been on a cruise ship to be greeted by a great view , to gain access you need to walk into town then walk up the hill , unfortunately the mist was rolling in
Saw Ovation of the Seas from this lookout
Beautiful views. Make sure you use the bathroom at the entrance before you go up!
Good place to eat fish and chips especially when theres a shipping check out the port Chalmers shipping schedule
Great views of Dunedin harbour
Our cruise ship docked here. It was so convenient to walk off the ship, cross a short distance, then board our the train for our excursion. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Milford sound new zealand a wonderful scenery
Great views of Hobart and Tansmania
A stunning display of immaculate gardens. Wheel chair friendly. The Conservatory is a little corner of heaven with the stunning, colourful begonia display. A top spot for a little meditation & reflection.
Great place. Just had a couple of beers, tried some of the ciders recommend by the staff. A lovely chilled afternoon.
Nice view from up there and a nice little town. Laundromat on main street if your visiting on a cruise ship and want to do a load of washing cheaply.
Charming little town at the old port. A few restaurants but other than a gateway into Dunedin or the ecopark I am not sure that there is much here. Not much in the way of shops. Easy walk from the shipsLong way to Dunedin.
Ok place to visit. Nice view.5 mins to finish and go.
From our cruise ship, it was a pleasant but uphill walk to the lookout. The fantastic views started even before reaching the lookout. We could see almost the whole of the charming town along the way. At the lookout, the view of the ship and surroundings was breathtaking. A must for cruise passengers.
Great place to spot ships and get a view of the port.
Great place to look out over port Otago, watch the ship movements and see the sculpture garden too.
Great view, check out the sculpture by notable kiwis, including Ralph Hotere who lived nearby in the 70s.
Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. Walk up to the lookout for the town. Take a look at the little sculpture garden just next to the lookout.
Great view for taking photos of the massive ships in the harbour.
Perfect view of the cruise and other big ships that come in to port. Bit tight for parking when busy so is sometimes better to park on lower streets and walk up.
A great vantage point for seeing container ships being unloaded and giant cruise liners berthed at Port Chalmers. Just down the hill you can stroll the township with its intriguing mix of shops, eateries and Victorian period buildings.
