Five Guys in Medicine Hat

The staff was extremely extremely disrespectful, they a customers so badly. They went so far as to scream and berate then completely unprovoked! I was shocked and dismayed to see this this, so uncalled for there was absolutely no reason for this kind of rude, aggressive behaviour.

I was harassed by the staff members aggressively left a complaint online and am in the works with speaking to a higher representative

Extremely disrespectful, aggressive, and verbally violent staff. I do not whatsoever recommend this location. Nothing against the actual company, the staff are just horrible. They use unnecessary verbal aggression and become publicly and loudly violent (verballyin front of the entire restaurant. Do not eat here! Worst experience(sI have ever had at a food place.

Been here a few times. Food is very good and portion sizes are generous.However, if you eat here, be prepared for the bill because its gonna be a shocker! Not a place to eat on a budget.

I’m a little skeptical of five guys because the ones in BC have really gone downhill with quality and atmosphere. They used to yell your order and be quite lively before, which is exactly how I felt coming into this location. Even later at night they were very friendly and put out fresh fries. A great location with excellent quality burgers, hot dogs and shakes. Would absolutely go back to this location on the way back through town

So 5 guys is normally one of my favorite burgers. And I dont know if it was a bad night there or what but this was not the best burger they have every made. But it might be the worst.

The food and service quality has really gone downhill

I forgot how good this place was. We hadnt been since it first came to Medicine Hat. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. While we were eating I noticed someone was always doing something, cleaning or restocking the peanuts. The spicy fries were our favorite and not "too" spicy just really flavorful. Please note however, if you have never been and have a peanut allergy this is not the place for you as they offer free peanuts while you wait. You help yourself to the peanuts at the front of the store so there will be peanut oil, dust, peanuts, etc everywhere.

This is the second time I was disappointed. I drove to the destination to order as last time when I ordered online, it took 30minutes to wait for food to be made in the store.Tonight they gave me half my order after 20 minutes of waiting and it was empty inside. They then took another 15minutes to give me the rest of my order. I watched the guy stand around and do nothing for 15minutes and then it got busy and everyone after me got their orders.Its like children are running loose and no supervisor is around to manage these kids. Terrible customer service and quality of food is sub par.

Oreo shake is best plus peanuts. Just love this

Worst veggie burger ever had in my life ask for ketchup but no ketchup on burger , no test of jalapeno and pickles.

Hands down the best burger in the industry! Shakes are great too but you can literally feel yourself slowly dying after having both, but what a way to go!

Good burgs n fries great staff and atmosphere …. But i near pooped my pants 2 burgers 2 fries 2 pop ….. 45$ intodays world its not easy to afford this place …. Maybe once a year 🤟🤟🤟

My experience at this Five Guys was the worst Ive ever had in any of their 6-7 different locations Ive been to. The food was just the worst, undercooked and lacked the usual quality preparation they are known for. The customer service just seemed lacking. Not sure my family and I will return.

Great burgers as always and whats this? I never knew that they had gravy! Tried some of that too - pretty tasty!!

Ive never had a bad experience here! Ive enjoyed the hamburgers, fries, peanuts, & hot dogs before. Today, I had the poutine & the milkshake. Five Guys Headquarters, youve got to start supplying the franchises with gluten-free buns!

Used to be a great place to get some amazing burgers but now the service and food quality has gone way down hill... Food is extremely overpriced for the quality it is now. Burgers are sloppy and poorly put together. The little fry used to be a good portion for $4.00, it was definitely worth the price, but now they dont even fill the cup it comes in, it was literally like 10-15 fries which is pretty ridiculous for the price. We were in the middle of telling the cashier our order when they answered the phone and proceeded to take their order instead and it took 2-3 minutes as the phone order was $61.50 and had lots of burgers on it that were now going to be made ahead of our order that we had already started saying. Will never go here again.

William at the front taking orders could use a lesson on manners and customer service. Thank God the rest of his team know how to exceed and make up for his lack in human interaction skills

If I ask for BBQ sauce or mustard, put it on the burger please. The amount of times Ive gotten a burger with ZERO condiments on it is embarrassing.

Great service and burgers but wasnt happy when the Cajun spice was coated thick on fries could eat them even over all though it was a great experience

This is my happy place ! I have an allergy to canola oil so was pumped that I could try Five Guys ,now it is my go to place everywhere that has one. This location though is hands down the best I have ever been too ! Music is rocking ,always friendly staff, excellent burgers and fries !! I would give it a 10 star rating if I could !!!

Best burgers in town and at a good price point. Also the the milkshakes that they just started doing are really good too

I just want to share my experience about this location. I was here yesterday, and i told one the staff that i would like to speak to a supervisor, when she came out, i asked her if they are hiring, she said that “currently we are not hiring” then walk away right away, how rude! Is that how to talk to people that looking for a job? I understand when she said “they are not hiring” but don’t be rude. Actually this is the second time trying to apply in this location, maybe i just forgot that she is rude, not sure if she is just rude to me. She didnt even look at me. (Thanks!)No complain about the store, washroom or the food, just her (not sure if this lady is a supervisor or manager or owner, because she dont look like and she dont act like one).Im just sayin!

Fast pick up for delivery guys. I want to order everything here.Their fries are hand cut and you can actually buy peanuts from them, that they use to make their peanut oil they deepfry in.The food- its all cooked in the open, it gets BUSY. Editing my review from the past. This used to be my favorite burger place. That all changed recently. My burger was less then desirable, you used to get a good serving of fries, not now. I got a tiny little cup of fries, no extra in the bag. And thats what I liked about going there. My husband ordered poutine, it was so salty it went in the garbage. So sad, because it was my favorite place for a burger. Not to mention the price did not go down, just the quality.

Great burgers and of course great fries. The milkshakes are delicious also. Tryout a salted caramel bacon milkshake while you are there :)

For whats considered "fast food" this was pretty top notch. Their burgers are a nice lean beef with a very "homemade" feel. Its almost as if you picked up a pack of burgers from the local butcher and cooked them up yourself. The amount of toppings they have available is actually a little overwhelming haha. They used awesome fresh ingredients. The fries are cooked in peanut oil which might be a big deal if youre weak and have peanut allergies. Id say they were some of the best tasting fries Ive ever had. The meal was a little pricey but you know what Id pay that same amount all day long because it was well worth it. Definitely a healthier alternative to any other fast food burgers as the burgers are all natural and free of fillers and chemicals you would find in say a mcdonalds burger. The burger itself was also so filling I couldnt even eat all my fries. Haha. Excellent place to eat!

Definitely not the best experience and pretty cheap with toppings and fries compared to other Five Guys locations in other cities. They also gave me regular fries not cajun fries with no overflow. Very disappointing. Ill go elsewhere.

Best hot dog in the city! The cheeseburgers and cajun style fries are incredible as well. I have never had a disappointing meal here!

Place wasn’t busy when we went and food was great. But one of the staff members was talking down to us pretty condescendingly, as if we didn’t know how to speak English. Not very surprising when a person of colour visits me establishment in small town Alberta

This place has amazing food but I only truly like one of the workers there because the rest are quite ignorant and refuse to give me fries with not a ton of salt on them even though its really not that hard

I was in the restaurant tonight, Ive had amazing experience in the past same goes for my experience tonight. The only thing wrong was my burger wasnt two Pattys it was one and a half. Fast and friendly service

1st time there. Little expensive, but so totally worth it. Will definitely be going back again. The burgers are dynamite. Regular size fries were way to much for myself lol. Definitely highly recommend Five Guys!!!

The high quality of the meal definitely balances out the higher price on this fast food location. The fries are on a higher level and importantly enough, the fountain pop is always good.

Too awesome for words. $20 for a burger, fries and a drink sure, but the amount of fries you get and the kick @$$ burger you get is well worth it. Just stay away if youre allergic to peanuts thats what they cook the fries in, peanut oil.

Foods always good, this past experience was unpleasant. The cashier had a poor attitude. I’m sure she was just doing her job when she was verifying the size of the fry cup but leave out the attitude. When I replied with “yep I understand” she gave me 3/4 of a cup with no over flow. I’ll stick to Fat Burger.

Real good food, short wait times. If you like good burgers and even better fries, this is the place to go. Although those allergic to peanuts, Id recommend for your own safety to stay away, peanut oil is the main frying oil

If my man was writing this review hed give them 5 stars. He loves the burgers, hard to believe they consider themselves "fast food". They are far better than any fast food Ive had. And the amount of fries they give you....wow!!! You wont leave feeling hungry.

One of the best burgers hands down. The Cajun fries are always a MUST when coming to Five Guys... And FREE peanuts lol, my only critique would be that they need to make the buns larger for the double burger ;)

The young lady that attended us was courteous and friendly, and a great worker. She was always finding things to do. When she wasnt working at the till, she was cleaning the entranceway. When we went to leave, she was cleaning in the entrance, and she held open the doors for us and gave us a cheerful farewell.

Great service, if your not sure how burgers are put together they explain it to you right away. Prompt and helpful, you have your food in minutes! Id go back! Clean place,free peanuts to munch on while youre waiting what more could you ask for!

Gotta be the best place Ive sat down and ate at in Medicine Hat!Excellent service! Its also a really really busy place but they get their orders done super efficiently and done right. Ive never run into problems with my order being wrong yet Im a rather picky customer. Impressed very much so.Bathrooms are clean as well as the whole restaurant.Beware of that amount of fries you order... I asked for a "large fries" and wow, they certainly provided. I mustve gotten around 2lbs worth of fries. Super addictive flavor so of course I ate every single one. :)All in all, if youre in Medicine Hat and hungry, for sure stop in and dine.

The service is pretty fast and friendly. The music is on the loud side. The place is clean and tidy. My fries were ok a little to much salt but if you like the same amount McDonalds puts on theirs youll love them. The burger I got wasnt as good as the last time I was there. The prices are a bit high too but by much should come down a 1.50 to 2.00 on the burgers.

Food is delicious! The fries are to die for! And you always get lots of them!! But be warned they do use and have peanuts everywhere. The burgers are definitely the best in town!! Lots of seating at this location and the service is very quick!!

Some of the best burgers youll find anywhere. Simple menu, but what they serve, they do well. Burgers, hotdogs, fries and cola. Always fast, clean and lots of smiles. They always play upbeat music and the washrooms are clean and well kept. This location is convenient with plenty of free parking.

The food itself is good. I didnt have the sick, bloated feeling that accompanies poor quality fast food afterwards, and they offer free peanuts to those waiting in line. The fries dont detract from the taste of the burger, which actually seemed to be seasoned instead of a slab of mystery ground meat. Its quite expensive though, at $8 for a cheeseburger. That can be excused by the sheer amount of free condiments they give you in return.Given that its strictly a burger joint, the menu seems somewhat complicated. I really only remember seeing hot dogs and burgers on the menu, with the option of forgoing a bun and having the burger wrapped in lettuce or simply eating it with a knife and fork instead. Thats all one section of the menu, while the other 4 seem useless, crowded, and confusing.The service person wasnt a limp robot either, he smiled and spoke clearly, so that qualifies as excellent service for a fast food place.

Too much for me to eat. But awesome to get fresh and a choice of toppings. The staff are friendly and helpful and seem to enjoy their job. Lucky employers. Great all around.
