Traditional fish and chips and seafood, plus kids' menu, in a stylish, tiled and wood-panelled room.
Good quality cod chips and mushy peas is my favourite. Great little restaurant to eat in or takeaway. John Hancock
Amazing, service was incredible. Helpful and friendly. I took the suggestion of swordfish . everything was beautifully cooked and super fresh. Best fish ive had to in a long time. Good as a treat
Not a great choice, but the cod was good and chips nice, quite a small portion though.
A bowl of chips which must of had ten chips in and the lobster had literally no meat in it . It was so disappointing
Fresh fish, and squid (for deep fried). Will come again for sure. Price is okay.
Fish Kitchen is a nice seafood restaurant in my local area just down the road. It’s a popular restaurant with the locals and those outside. The food was tasty and the depending on what you order, the portions are very generous. Some items can be pricey but with the addition of being able to buy some fresh fish to take home from the monger it’s understandable. Not all of the items on the menu are worth trying because you can find them in many other chippies. If you’re willing to try other items such as the whole spicy langoustines then you are in for a treat.
Wow this place is terrible. The cod and chips burnt to crisp. Tiny portion for £11.95.
Delicious fresh fish exquisitely cooked and a great warm welcome.Lovely experience. I will certainly come back
OMG!! I didnt expect the portions to be this big! The fish goujons are succulent and tasty and the portion is massive, last 2 days. Great price. The chips are gorgeous. Ill be going back there for a take away all day long over the rest! Yum!
Expensive but justified and very good fresh fish. As is their fishmongers next door. A real treat.
Excellent meal with nice wine. Not expensive for quality of food
Food was only ok, not as good I expected. And it’s a bit expensive compare with the quality.Service was good, friendly staff.
I have walked past this place numerous times and just thought it was another fish and chips place...boy! How wrong was I.Absolutely amazing fresh fish dishes. We both shared the calamari starter, and trust me it was superb. Not like in most restaurants where its frozen, this was fresh, tender and tasty. Then my partner had the grilled mackerel and I had the fish of the day, both were delicious.Tasteful and stylish decor inside and extremely clean.Really friendly and helpful staff.I highly recommend you go.I will most definitely be back.
The food was nice, we had monkfish and skate from the grill menu, they were cooked well and were tasty. The one thing that brings this restaurant down is the smell. As you head towards the toilet, the smell of fish/stale water is overwhelming.
Excellent fish and chips well cooked and not over battered will visit again Good diverse food range which can be cooked from Jarvis the fish mongers next door
The food is excellent along with the service and lovely relaxing atmosphere. This restaurant is in a good location close to Norbiton Station.
Its delicious, bit expensive. If youre not famished, I think the childrens portions are a very appropriate size for a lunch or evening meal!
Much more than posh fish and chips but full menu based around fish, fried or grilled with lovely starters and deserts and full range of drinks.
The best fish restaurant in London for food and. Service
Been to this fish and chip restaurant a few times and bought fish from the adjoining shop. The service in the informal restaurant and the shop is first class. The fishmongers know all you need to know about fish, and the chef cooks the meal to perfection. However, the owner knows very little about the trade. Only joking, he is the UK’s number one man when it comes to fish.Returned to the restaurant on 8July 2021 and the same high standard still there. Service very good, food very good.
We live less than 30 minutes from Whitby, where the fish restaurant standard is altogether on another higher level. This restaurant was OK but the service was unengaging and the food quality was nothing special. Slightly overpriced too, but expected that for the area. We wont rush back.
Very good specialist neighbourhood fish and chip shop. Prepared to order. Lots of choice of delicious fish: eg squid, lobster, whitebait. Good chips - can be variable quality. Delicious tartare sauce and mushy peas 👌🏻💚🤩🤗 x
After trying every fish’n’chip option near New Malden this one was the best. Since then I’ve been many times and their cod is super tender with light batter and great chips. Best in the area.
Exquisite fish&chips for a take out. Extra star for great service on a Friday night. I liked the fact that the staff were very polite and friendly and my order was ready in under 7mins. Yummy!
Very good food and price at Eat Out to Help period.
Good quality food and drink - the battered cod was just right. Proper fish and chips! Also, the staff are friendly and efficient, giving recommendations from the menu. All Covid-19 safety measures were in place. Will definitely visit again, Thanks!!
We are outside because of corona and although the staff were lovely and the food delicious, the minute our food was placed on the table, swarms of wasps and flies started flying around us. We ate and ran. Will not return until we can eat inside.
Best fish and chip shop around, have been coming for takeaways and to eat in for a very long time now. Portion sizes are great, quality amazing and staff always very good.Special big thanks to Sylvester!
Really lovely place, Tomek who served me (thats what the receipt sayswas fantastic. Professional, attentive and smiley, perfect combo for a waiter. Food was delicious, very fresh oysters and my prawns were perfectly cooked.
Good portions, good quality and service, a little bit pricy for fish and chips ... but good overall.I got takeaway Grilled Seabass and Chips for £11
Really good restaurant. Great food, can be a bit pricey but its worth it. Id advise booking as they get busy. Theyre fairly accessible as they have a ramp to get in, just not much space for wheelchairs but they are very accommodating. They also sell fresh fish next door which is great! Id always go back.
I went for the first time and I asked for large fries and I waited for about five minutes and my fries were ready. Great service, the fries were amazing. The only downside is that you have to pay 50p for chilli sauce the ketchup is free. 😃😉
First impressions smells a bit fishy! Friendly staff, fantastic fresh fish!! Lovely chips and Ill definitely be back!!!!! Cant wait to go back and try something else on the menu 😘😘😘
If you want to taste super fresh fish literally caught the night before then it is your place to go to!Want to buy or order online some special Fish & Chips? - it must be your choice again.Professional, exceptionally friendly, helpful staff and excellent food. You can even pick the piece of fresh fish you fancy for dinner from the Fishmonger next door and they will cook it for you.Highly recommended!
A step up from the everyday chip shop, Fish! is more of a fish restaurant that specialises in fish and chips of all variety. Working together with the fishmongers next door, Jarvis, they offer to cook anything from the fresh display there for you in the restaurant. Top quality fish, definitely.
Have visited the restaurant on several occasions and have been happy with both service and food. Today, however, we had booked a table but the manager(?was very reluctant to let us sit where we wanted to. He kept saying the tables we chose were for four and we were only two. He said they had lots of bookings. When we arrived it was empty and when we left there were very few tables occupied. It was hard to understand his attitude and had really put us off visiting in the future.Thank you for replying to my review, however you are mistaken, our booking was for 12 midday, not the evening. So no excuse for the manager’s attitude.
Wow! This place is much worse than I remember.Visited at 5.30 on a weekday. One other occupied table in there. The waiter clearly looked down on me and my newborn and the service was frosty to say the least.I chose to sit outside so was pretty much forgotten.I had to feed the baby and bizarrely, the waiter left my plate out of my reach and stride off. He didn’t give me any salt and didn’t check on me. I had to wave furiously until I was seen. The chips were horrid. Tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Couldn’t eat.And to top it off, expensive.Next time I have a chip hankering, I’ll go to the chip club or seashore kitchen. Why subject myself to unpleasantness?
Once you have tasted fish and chips with fresh fish straight from the fishmongers, you will never want to go back to the frozen fish again. The texture is completely different and wonderful. We are working through the grilled fish dishes currently, so will require many more visits. Look forward to each of them with anticipation though. This experience definitely saves trips to the coasts because the fish here are just as good, if not better, than seaside restaurants
Always enjoy visiting Fish! whether for a take away or eat in - food is always lovely. The only reason I rated as 4* rather than 5* is that potion sizes have become smaller in the past year or so. Still delicious though.
Excellent quality Fish and chips. Lots of variety if you want to deviate from the classic cod and chips. Always reliable consistent good quality food. They have another branch in Borough market same food different atmosphere. I think it must be the link to the fresh fish restaurant next door in Norbiton that ensures the quality is great.
This has got to be the worst fish and chips Ive ever had. Seen this place around for a while and never had the chance of going in. Thought Id try t out. Loads of "Award winners" stickers in the window so thought this must be good.I ordered a cod and chips.Massive box with lots of space. The chips were not the normal chips you get, they seemed like the packet chips you get from a superstore! The fish was a very small portion. I definitely wont be going here again. Total of £10 gone down the drain. Waste of money!
Excellent fish and chips. Very different from the standard you get elsewhere. Great selection of fish that can be grilled or fried. Hand cut well made crispy chips. Everything is made to order so always fresh. A bit more expensive but still worth it because of the exceptional quality. Highly recommended. Its my favourite fish and chips shop.
Possibly one of my favourite local restaurants. Although it is small it just adds to the atmosphere, all the fish is fresh from next door which is excellent quality. For take away service is quick and still same quality, while portions are large.Staff are friendly and know what they are talking about if you need help with the menu.
This has got to be the worst fish and chips Ive ever had. Seen this place around for a while and never had the chance of going in. Thought Id try t out. Loads of "Award winners" stickers in the window so thought this must be good.I ordered a cod and chips with an extra portion of chips. The portion was tiny. Massive box with lots of space. The chips were not the normal chips you get, they seemed like the packet chips you get from a superstore! The fish was a very small portion and didnt taste right. I definitely wont be going here again. Total of £15 gone down the drain. Waste of money!
Stood at the door and was ignored when clearly waiting for a table. Once we were sat the sullen waiter made us feel like we were an inconvenience to his evening, rude, poured wine over the table. We decided to leave without ordering food and offered to pay for our wine, explaining we were leaving due to the awful atmosphere theyd created. No apologies were made and no concession on the price of the wine. Definitely wouldnt recommend. We had a lovely meal elsewhere.
Just moved to the area so tried fish kitchen because it looks really nice. The staff were efficient but a little cold.I waited 20 minutes but assumed the fish was cooked to order.I then got small over cooked dry haddock and a portion of chips that only took up just over a third of the box (they say all their portions are large)The fish was dry and over cooked. The chips were anaemic & too firm so likely undercookedOverall a very poor experience.. and for £18 for two way over priced.I usually only write good reviews and maybe it was a bad night but guys you need to learn.
Had many take aways from here and always been happy with the service and food.A tad expensive but the quantity and quality have never slumped. On one occasion they were rushed and with a new employee. That one serving was a little soggy, but still very tasty.Overall excellent.
What a gem: have lived in Kingston for 11 years and only just found this superb little restaurant/fish supplier. We had the sea bass (extra crispy, just as I requestedand the lemon sole: really excellent quality fish, cooked perfectly. Wine was Chilean SV: again a good match. We shall return to do the rest of the menu. Roger and Anne
The worst fish and chips I have ever eaten! The fish was burnt, the chips were soft and soggy (even though I asked for them to be done extra crispy). I will never go back there again for a takeaway!!! Doesnt even deserve one star!
Popular local haunt for those with a scaley bent. Fish and chips done well and a good range of non cod options to keep things sustainable. If youre after a Friday night takeaway be prepared to queue (tho if you come often enough Im assured you should expect a friendly gang of regular faces!)
