Fish Bar in Hong Kong

So sorry to report that no matter how many times I come I just feel that its no good.Have had it half a dozen times throughout the years. The fish of the fish and chips are still a bit fishy, or not moist enough. The batter is not well seasoned. Chips too small a portion.We went again after a few years, and it was disappointing still.The ahi tuna in the salad was off, for a restaurant called the fish bar, this was unacceptable. You could see that the color of the tuna was not fresh and I cant believe they still served it. We ordered battered garoupa and fries which was still not very well seasoned and a little fishy. The only acceptable dish was the crab cake.

Super expensive, small portion Caesar salad...180hkd. 300hkd fish n chips...Only thing good is the smoking area with big chairs to relax.

Came all the way for you fish and chips but it was really disappointing. 300 dollar wasted as no one liked it. And you need to train your staff to be more attentive and not ignore your customers.

The environment here is really chill next to the outdoor pool area. The food and service are both pretty good here as well. Although its outdoor, most of the dressing areas have cover and fan, so it still feel pretty comfortable during the lunch hour in July. Will come more often.

Seafood and fish lovers’ heaven. Enjoyable meal with breezes, pool view during nighttime. Good and friendly service.

Good food great atmosphere next to the pool. Could be a bit hot in really hot days.Service was exceptional. Everyone very helpful. I was with my mom in wheelchair and everyone helped to make the 2 steps accessible for her by carrying the wheelchair with her in it up the steps. Truely grateful. She loved the experience.The fish and chips made with grouper. Very good taste and texture. One of the best fish and chips Ive had.

Poolside and relax restaurant, love the atmosphere. Great dinner with seafood platter and very nice service. Highly recommend.

What a great tucked away establishment. Sit alfresco, by the pool, and enjoy your meal and drinks. The fish and Chips were very good - thin batter and not greasy. The mussels were the BIGGEST that we have every seen - from NZ apparently. Our affable waiter was very good. The only negative is that the selection of beer on tap is too few and ordinarily poor.

A very pretty setting. Food was average last time. I tried again today and was delicious. Try their mussels and try their tuna salad!! Its especially nice to sit outdoors in the winter.

Although the menu is fish and seafood, there are other options for the non fish lovers. Do ask the staff.

The dishes was fantastic especially the seafood, everything was wonderfully seasoned. The fish was fresh and deep fried well, the steak had a slight charcoal-grilled taste to it, the only downside was that it is medium well instead of the medium I requested. The room service came pretty quick after we ordered, I will give it a 9.5 out of 10 will come back if I go to JW Marriott again.

Nice alfresco dining, great vibe and decent food. Ordered the crab cake which was filled with crab meat, pretty filling but a little dry and which the sauce didn’t really complement the crab cake. Highly recommend the mussels, the size was huge and I enjoyed dipping the bread into the broth. The mango smoothie was soso. Overall a nice dining experience though service could be more attentive also as this overlooks the poolside, it could get a bit noisy if there are many kids at the pool.

Fish sandwich was slimy. Highlight was the tartar sauce which was much needed since everything lacked flavour.

I ate Grill Tiger Shrimp which was not fresh enough n over cooked n the garnish is not beautiful ( rocket leaf). Far from my expectation。 Dessert is better.

This is the first time we visited this restaurant. Yummy good, simple presentation, great atmosphere. Service is great. Although it is a bit pricey but worth it as the fish selection is amazing and it is cook to perfection.

nice poolside lunch. although theres no air con, its quite windy and not as hot as I thought. i ordered the barramudi with baked potato. fish is perfectly done. the skin is crispy as chips. baked potato is good too. recommend.

Best crab cake in the world! I love seafood and I love crab, I love it more if I dont have to work on the shells to get to the yummy goodness. Most places make their crab cakes with fillers to bulk up volume, but this place uses crab only, and they dont fry, but bake their cakes. Im salivating now just writing this.Service was excellent and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. Would definitely come back again.

One of the best al fresco restaurant in HK and it’s also by the pool. Seafood here is great and comes with a good portion, price is reasonable. A very nice restaurant for family with kids.

The worst fish place in HK and worst value for tasteless food! Skip it.

Love all the fish dishes, especially the fat chips of the fish and chips. The greeny salad with spinach and quinoa tastes surprisingly good and very compatible in texture. A wide range of drinks can be picked, especially the mocktails.

High mark up of the priced of the food & coffee! It is unacceptable to the food quality is just so -so . I had been ordered the Avocado salad and the leaves salad is old and not fresh!And the D expresso coffee is not DE & it is Americano coffee and just placed in small cup ! Coffee charges total Hk$150.

Fish of the day!Staff are friendly. Fish with different taste. Pool side give the best environment for enjoying the dinner.
