Fish Bar - Restaurant in Nandi, Fiji
We saved Fish Bar for the last night of our honeymoon and it was a great choice, because we went out with an incredible meal and got lucky with a beautiful sunset. The lobster was delicious and the tuna tartare to start was fantastic. This is well worth the money when staying at the Marriott. Its really hard to beat the west-facing location.
Went there for my birthday lunch and they really turned it on...full team singing happy birthday at full voice....amazing scenery, food and typical Fiji service....
Great food and service with exceptional views
A terrific spot for relaxing by the infinity pool. Excellent service. Food was tasty and plenty for lunch. Adults only was a plus.
Beautiful place to dine, lovely view and great staff
The Fish bar is incredible. As you’d expect from the staff they are fantastic. I did a horrible job of taking pictures of the kai but next time I promise.I started with the Kokoda. Priced at $40 FD was good but not as good as other restaurants on the resort and the lack of fish within the dish didnt give the value $40 FD commands. This was disappointing. My main was the 300gram Angus scotch fillet, medium rare. Priced at $90 FD again I expected an exceptional steak. We purchased sides to go along with our steaks such as the green salad, mash potatoes and pumpkin sweet potato. The steak was average that needed resting. My sauce was mushroom that lacked mushrooms. It was tasty but not hitting the standards I’d expect. For $90 FD care should be taken with the meat. Now the wife had a different experience with her 200 gram eye fillet which was also an Angus. Cooked rare it was perfect. Cooked to perfection and handled with love. Looking and tasting hers I really made a terrible choice.Priced at $92 FD the experience delivered the expectation. She was very happy.
The fish bar restaurant has the BEST view at the resort! Its so romantic for lunch and especially during dinner- try and reserve for around sunset, 6pm! The beautiful pink purple sky is the perfect complement to a nice romantic dinner. We had the fish tacos and seafood risotto and were in LOVE! There is also live music during dinner and it makes the atmosphere so dreamy and wonderful!
You have to try the Fish 🐟 tacos 🌮 they have to be the freshest Ive ever had,and that avocado 🥑 with the fresh lime and the crisp crunch of the fish and taco is 👌
Great place to relax and enjoy the amazing Fijian sunsets.Good selection of food and drinks. Friendly, helpful staff.
Nice
Arranged private dining option with Agnes and taken care by the restaurant manager John. The dining took place on the very private side of the restaurant, away from the restaurant and pool crowd.Absolute privacy was observed throughout the dinner. Staff only came forward between course. The dinner was accompanied by the Sunset that took place between 5.45 pm to 6.45 pm.The four-course Salt Menu, created by the executive chef, was very enjoyable. (Thank you chef!We had tuna, scallops, pork belly, beef fillet and whiskey-chocolate dessert. Each course was accompanied with different salt flavoured (lime, chilli, hibiscus, coconutmade by nearby villages. It is value-worthy and tasty! The night ended with the restaurant guitarist, service staff and John singing Fiji songs from afar, slowly closing in with a birthday song. We were almost moved to tears! Will we miss this restaurant for its venue, food and people? Definitely yes and we will talk about it for years to come!
Really good food and our waiter Terrence was amazing. Cant wait to go back on our next trip
Great vibe for sunset, friendly service and the food is brilliant! The staff are very welcoming and make sure you enjoy your time to the fullest!Highly recommend this spot for some dinner and sundowner cocktails!
Soto tale Terrance. Fine food, excellent service. A winning smile.vinaka
Food was good, serving river fast, however with we code menus was a bit confusing how to actually place an order, turns out needed to wait for waitress. Lobster roll I had was aight. They gave green coconuts which was fresh tasting. Adobe tables have beautiful sea side views
Marriott Momi Bays fine dining option. Seafood specialities are remarkable. Everything is haute cuisine, so no chips with your fish here. Instead, smaller dishes featuring complex flavours that make the most of diverse fresh ingredients. As always at this resort the staff are impeccable and the ocean view is wonderful, the restaurant really being one huge covered terrace. Not for kids. Bring your boo for a special event or just because. I recommend the Mahi Mahi.
Best sunsets I have ever seen in my life. Breathtaking views, beautiful staff, extraordinary horizon pool. Live music. Perfection.
Great place for drinks food and live music and a magnificent view.
Great food here, especially the lobster risotto. The seafood is fresh and they have a varied menu. Terence was fantastic and I would highly recommend trying the Coco Colada cocktail! Amazing views, particularly at sunset.
Fresh enough quality seafood but youre going mainly for its location... Beautiful sunset views on the adult part of the island.
Lovely dining experience, the staff were friendly as could be and the food was lovely. The lunch selection is a little limited compared to other restaurants in the hotel, but what they do, they do very well.Make sure to book a table if you wish to be there for sunset.
Food quality was truly excellent! Complimentary water, bread buns and sticks, butter. Overall service was very friendly and welcoming. Daily live music was quite nice as well!
Great food. Had the steak sandwich, asked for it rare, came rare. Partner had the lobster roll and it was very generous for a lobster roll. Higher prices are to be expected. There was a great solo singer doing live music.Serve was awesome as can be expected at a Marriot.
The ambiance of this restaurant is something out of a romance novel. Simply beautiful.
Lovely place to relax, drinks and watch the sunset 🌇, and enjoy swimming
A place to remember, atop lagoon point having great dinner & watching sun set with my wife. Simply beautiful.
Amazing location with the perfect sunset view. Had grilled Morton bay bugs with a butter sauce. Really good food and resort
We stayed at Marriott Momi Bay for 10 nights in December. We had most of our drinks during the day at the Fishbar pool as well as lunch.Salome Kalou welcomed us every day with a friendly smile! Thanks Lome for everything! We truely miss seeing you every day. All the lovely chats and you always looking after us.I can honestly say all the beautiful people that work at Fishbar are so amazing and the service is outstanding! Everyone is always smiling despite working very long hours and travelling very far to get to the hotel every day! The food was always fresh and the flavours amazing. When we had dinner at night we were mostly served by Marcus! Again an amazing person. Thank you Marcus for everything and for going out of your way to make sure everything was always perfect!Highly recommend visiting Fishbar with its breathtaking view of the ocean and the infinity pool right next to it.
Great place to relax, view the Pacific and eat a nice meal. The drinks are quite good also as is the pool area.
Very tasty selection. Serving size is, well, on par with classy restaurants. We had our very tasty mains as our "entree" and then went to the Lagoon House to complete our meal. If youre not after European sized meals, then the Fish Bar is indeed exquisite. 😃👍
Great fresh seafood selection. Good service, the cocktails were on point also. I had my birthday dinner here and the cooks Abdul and Vinit answered all my questions and cooked an incredible piece of fish. Roy and Marcus led a happy birthday song. Made the night so much more amazing.
Best restaurant to grab lunch and have a few beer.... Nice view as well
Amazing Atmosphere, amazing food, amazing staff, and that amazing Momi sunset is the kind of stuff you dream of! 💯👌🏾
Love the Fish Bar and the Adults Only Infinity Pool. And you just cant beat the Fijian infectious happiness. BULA!
Bula Bula Bula!!Speculator beach view along with a stunningly pink sunset too keep us entertained! Excellent place, food quality and the service was impeccable! Not forgetting to mention, massive thanks to the chef who made a vegetarian dinner for us as there was none option for vegetarian but he was amazing as I mentioned earlier food was delicious. Extremely friendly and efficient staff.Must visit the place at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay!
Food excellent. Beautiful setting overlooking ocean. Great menu.
Nice endless pool, although only for adults.
Awesome food and service, with a great sunset view.
By far the best restaurant on the resort. Fresh catch during the entire time was the "Snapper" I suspect this doesnt change much. Food presentation is good and flavors are definitely on point. Book ahead and reserve the table by the sunset ahead of time, you can request it when you call the restaurant.
If you are staying in Marriott this is a must go! We went there for a last night of our stay and after I am angry on myself that we didnt went there more often!Food is delicious
Great place to have a drink if you at Marriott Hotel in Fiji. float around on pool in bean bags while having a drink is best, happy hour is best time to visit
Some dishes are hit and miss others are good the Tomato consommé , the ceviche. The service was hit and miss. Though the bill was a hit to the pocket. There are two other restaurant options but overall the food level need to pull up in step to the five star prices
The food is excellent both for lunch and dinner. Dinner is upscale, the menu has a great variety of sea food. My wife and I selected the chiefs choice. It was outstanding. The service is fantastic, keep in mind they are on fiji time. We will gladly come back.
We stayed at this resort for 5 days and enjoyed meals and poolside service at the Fish Bar daily. It was truly a wonderful restaurant by measure of food, service and speed. We were well tended to and felt even the poolside snacks were prepared with care and attention. I highly recommend a good deal of time is spent at this part of the resort as it boasts great sunset views and an infinity pool.
Best meal in Fiji by far. We had the Scotch Fillet with mash potatoes, and the Pork Cutlet with this amazing apple cider sauce. The scenery at sunset is increadible, highly recommended. The photo was from our table as the sun set.
Highly recommend Fish Bar to residents in Marriott.Remember to make reservation before hand; otherwise, there will be no sunset view seats. It’s so sweat that the starter is complementary. The entree of prawn is delicious, being fresh and tasty!
Bula! Very pleasant experience. Beautiful sandy floor, which gives a very beach-like atmosphere to the lovely restaurant. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Food was excellent. The scallops and pork belly were superb! A light sorbet went nicely post appetisers. Sides were also a delight, the roasted pumpkin and almond broccoli were amazing. Mains were deliciously perfect. The haloumi and zucchini fritters were so good! While the duck breast was a perfect addition to the already perfect dinner. Dessert brought everything together, and was a highlight of the night. Top all of this off with a stunningly blue ocean and a stunningly pink sunset too keep us entertained!
nice restaurant & bar looking out to the ocean with an infinity pool. very spacious and plenty of drinks to choose from. the food was great too, we had the peri peri chicken burger - plenty of sauce and flavour with generous amount of fries - and fish tacos that were crispy and flavoursome. would recommend!
The worst dining experience and service Ive ever had, especially at a high-end resort. We made a reservation and were seated right away, but it was 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We ordered and our waiter repeated our (somewhat complexorders back to us, stumbling over at least 5 of our dishes and drinks. There were 4 of us. The service was slow and inattentive all night. The staff was trying their best, but most of them were clearly not experienced or even trained as waitstaff. The drinks were ok. Pictured are the tomato tart (basically a soggy cracker with raw tomatoes on topand the scallops with pork belly (which was actually very delicious). Then they brought my steak and a side of fries that none of us ordered. I looked at it for a moment, then a woman came back and said, "so sorry this is not yours, yours is coming," and served both to someone else. I hope thats what they ordered. Finally, we got our food. I ordered a fillet, and was told my plate was a fillet, but it was definitely a sirloin. And a mediocre one at that. The rock lobster was basically a 4 oz lobster tail, since the body isnt edible and it was not served with a cracking tool for the legs. The "duck breast" main course consisted of 2 slices of breast meat with the skin and fat on it, and one brussels sprout. Overall, completely unacceptable for a $500 FJ (about $250 USmeal at a restaurant claiming to be the resorts top spot for elegant dining.
The Fish Bar was definitely our favourite place to dine during our stay at Fiji Marriott Momi Bay. The meals were delicious and were very good value for money. Our favourite evening meal menu items were the seafood bisque and the lobster. The lunch menu was also amazing with plenty of options. The service was also super friendly. Highly recommended!
