Firuz Aga Restaurant - Restaurant in Istanbul, Turkey
RUBBISH, OVERPRICED, AVOID, SCAM BUSİNESS, RUDE, BAD SERVICE...Did I say AVOID?
Wonderful authentic and fresh dining experience in the heart of sultanAhmet/ fatih district. We always dine here everytime we visit Istanbul. The fresh stuffed chapattis, that the lady makes near the door are absolutely amazing. We always order an array of mezzes and mains and are never disappointed. The prices are reasonable and worth every TL❤️
Great food, pricing is up on the wall menu, so know what your paying before you order. Reasonably priced.Best Gozleme around, tried a few others and this one is the best.
The service is so cold, unfriendly. Prices are crazy!! Its like 5 star restaurant prices but without any quality of sitting or service. It was SO hot inside we were melting and couldnt enjoy our time. The final bill is shocking compared to what you get. The only reason i put 2 stars is because food was ok.
Very nice staff and food, definitely recommend!
Staff were excellent and welcoming. Food was delicious mashaAllah and quite filling too. Pricing was ok, only because the exchange rate is really good for European tourists at present.
I have been in Istanbul for the last week, and today we tried their food… it was the best Turkish food I have ever had. The food was so juicy, flavoursome and presentation was stunning. The restaurant itself has lovely seating on the floor and table which reminded me of being home. Thank you for the lovely customer service and food.. best end to the holiday.
Scammers! Don’t eat here! Don’t eat here! Price en food!!!
So bad , dont even dare to visitit was the worst experience i have ever faced in türkiye... Keep your money DO NOT Give them the chance to robe you
Fast service and great location! Taste is good considering it’s a touristy area.
Standard food, chicken wings nice however .
I have been to Istanbul twice, seen good and bad. Had dinner yesterday at this restaurant, their food is OK. However, the cashier was very rude to me to the extent he ruined my day. It was my last day in Istanbul holiday, as usual was in the queue when the guy infront of me was still undecided and took long time so I passed him to cashier as was in a hurry (this is my bad I admitthe cashier yelled at me in a degrading way infront of everyone “ go back to the queue” and then kept eyeballing me. The cashier guy did not apologize and kept treating me in a rude way until I left the restaurant ( as in no welcoming gestures, scowling face, asking in a rude way). I made a mistake by crossing the queue but the cashier could’ve been much more nicer and could’ve not ruined my last day in Istanbul.
I was sick on holiday and couldnt go outside, my family got me some for take out which I only got to eat after it was refrigerated for a day. The food, even though refrigerated for a day, was so good I went back with my family and it was SO GOOD! The meat was extremely tender and delicious and as seen on the pictures the bread is freshly made before your eyes! The meat was so tender that it dissolved lovely in your mouth!! Really a place I recommend!
Very good and delicious food but little expensive
Delicious variety of Kebobs in a nice ambience at the heart of Sultan Ahmet
Tasty foodMade fresh
Decent food. Lots of kebab options. Also sells gozleme onsite.A little pricey but you are in a touristy place.
I had lunch and dinner many time with hope for improvement, the only good thing could be the baked staff, the lamb chops as well, location. The rest really don’t deserve the value,Steak very bad quality, ( can’t be called steak house )service is so poor, unwelcoming, unpleasant. Strongly not recommend.
Cozy and nice place serves traditional meals
This kebab is really so good ang yummy...i love this kebab and the owner cihangir so friendly and kini...recomended when you are in turkey
Horrible attitude towards customers. The food was just standard and overpriced. Never coming back
Great national cousin
The food was okay but very much overpriced. The biggest problem for me was the flies. They were everywhere! On the table, utensils, and the food of course. It is Nov so definitely shouldnt be this bad especially in a restaurant.Another thing I really disagreed was the tips They were kind of forcing you to give. I didnt get any good service and you already overpriced your food, why do I need to pay extra??
Good food - good service 👍🏼
U have to try restaurant. Its very amazing!!! Perfect service and food. And the boss is so kind!! 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Great experience! Food is fresh (mezze/kebab).The owner is kind and speaks Eng/French !
Me and my wife tried many and many types of Gözleme but the woman whi work in this place is really making a delicious and tasty one. The place is clean and everyone is welcoming in addition to the cozy place.
We were shopping in the area and us Foodies were hungry! My daughter and I saw the woman making these Turkish style Flatbread, rolled out thin dough, with as requested meat, cheese and potatoes. So delicious! We also split a platter of fresh, cooked to order skewer of mixed beef and lamb. Soo good! It was accompanied with bread, a yogurt sauce, rice and a tomato! We split the above order, as well as a large bottle of San Pellegrino and was satisfied! Of course nothing was left over, all this for 2 grown hungry women for 180 Turkish Lira. Can’t wait to come back! Btw, I was amazed that we had such good food in a tourist area! Thank you Istanbul xoxo!
Nice seating area and nice lamb and Beef.
The BEST Gozleme Ive had. Love this place. Went here almost every day I could while while visiting. Highly recommend!!
Please avoid like a plague as they do not provide a menu and charge you extortionate prices. We was charged 540 lira for a small mixed grill. Food is vile.
Walked into this establishment because we saw fresh gözleme (stuffed flat breadbeing prepared. Hostess approached us and asked what we’d like to have (our mistake for not asking for the menu first). Two orders of chicken kabob, three gözleme, üçlü mix meze, and 2 ayrans for 400tl which is equivalent to 40EUR. Honestly, we’ve had better quality food for half this price. We left not even finishing our food because the hostess decided to sit 4 adults at the table next to us during COVID19. I’d avoid this place because there are so many other options in the area!
AVOID AVOID AVOID Absolutely rubbish food and VERY EXPENSIVE we paid nearly 400TL for 2 people that’s nearly £40 that’s the most expensive we have ever paid for food in Istanbul they don’t show you menu so you don’t know the price gives you a shock at the end lot of places around with good food and reasonable price but this place the food looks good tastes awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Excellent choise for turkish food
Too expensive for basically hors doeuvre. At other places, we ate much more for much less. Also no seasoning in the already made dishes. Like they are making food for the elderly
Food is fine enough but too expensive. The service is below a single stat. You have to ask for things 3 or 4 times and you may get what you ask for and you may not!I ordered Kunava, it took them more than 20 minutes to prepare it and guess what! they served it like it had been taken from a refrigerator!
1. Not bad service but there are NO Service and you may only take a seat after you ordered and paid.2. We ordered grilled kebab, Shish tavouk , mix mezza we got only one shish with som burgul it wasn’t bad but expensive.3. Mix Meza, was some cold tasteless vegetables and it cost same as grilled kebab. I can say that after we have eaten in this resturant we lost the appetite to eat in any other resturants the next 2 days.
Impressingly bad food, poor service and way too expensive for what you get. I wish there was a zero star option as it doesn’t deserve one star. I have never had a worse hummus if you could even call it hummus and the mezze mix was absolutely tasteless. If you are considering eating here, please, don’t.
Close to the tourist sites in Sultanahmet. Smiling english speaking staff as you walk in. A choice of mouth watering platters - this is an ideal place to taste traditional Turkish food. You can visit for both lunch and dinner or even snacks. The price is slightly above average but the place is also well above average, plus all prices are well visible so there is no surprises.Service was fast and courteous. Would definitely recommend!
Too expensive, I have just paid 480 LT about 80€ for 2 persons. I have never seen prices like that. It more expansive than Dubai or Paris.
We were happy with the mixed starter platter for 45tl and the homemade bread for 20tl. It is in the main tourist area, so prices are high. Good for a quick snack.
I thought the Adnan spicy kebab and chi kebab tasted really good.Flavour has something extra abit of tangyness than the usual kebabs in istanbul. I think they added pomegranate but I could be wrong. I know they do it in Afghanistan in the Peshawari kebab.Food is 10/10Service 10/10Price its too over priced.Hence the 4 stars otherwise deffo 5 stars
Presentation was nice. Establishment was clean and spacious. Found the kebab to be just alright, and not so great in terms of value for money.Worth noting they will try to up sell you on extras. We thought the mezze plate with breads was complimentary - every table had one. Turns out that’s another 40 TRK to your bill. Anyway the eggplant portion was nice, all else was average.
The food is good and the setting is nice but I find it overpriced. The waiter took the starter plates while we were still eating and the french fries were brought after we have finished eating everything. Good but overpriced .( The bathroom was also out of order .
Good but TOO EXPENSIVE!!! 245 tl for a meal.
Good place! Very tasty cuisine!
The food is very good but pricing is unclear. The first time we visited, we ordered a lot of food and got one big platter. The second time we came, we ordered less food because we were not as hungry, but got two platters (meaning there was more wheat rice, more salad, etc), so try to be clear when you are ordering. A lady makes flatbread with cheese and spinach (or w/e you wantand we really enjoyed those. I think the place is worth your time, but be conscious if you are on a strict budget.
Super! Very delicious, everything fresh, personal is very nice! For sure you should come here!!!!
We experimented several taste and was really nice and typical for the place, which is really touristic. May be worth the detour if you are in the area.
We went two mornings in a row and it was great, both in terms of food and in terms of atmosphere. A lady sits in front of the restaurant making some of the dishes by hand in front of you, and there is a BBQ behind the main counter. We took to-go the first day but decided to eat in the second day, seating on floor pillows in little booths around a low wooden table. The price is slightly above average but the place is also well above average, plus all prices are well visible so there is no surprise. Not a fan of the music but that seemed to be a constant in Istanbul for me :)All in all a great in sultanhamet for a break before or in between visits! Its clearly currently underrated (April 2018)
