496 S High St, Columbus, OH 43215, United States, Columbus
Cafe chain for health-minded breakfast, brunch & lunch options such as omelets, salads & soups.
I think this is a smaller First Watch due to its location with other businesses. Even tho we had a small wait time. It was all good.
Good breakfast spot. I like that they leave a small pot of coffee on the table for you. Yummy seasonal items. Good brunch place.
Omg. The food, and drinks are so good.. I had the veggie skillet and green tonic. Love love first watch!
I am not a breakfast person, but this place could maybe convert me. Waffle was good, ham steak was *very* good, and our group of 9 had no complaints across a diversity of menu choices. Everything was wonderful.Plus, the million dollar bacon is usually on sale for something like $6. π
We love this place. We drove 2 hours just to eat here. Well find other things to do while we are in Columbus.
Their Chickachunga is BOMB! I paired it with a Purple Haze Lemonade and GF brownie. Cant wait to go again.
Ive been here a dozen or so times and really enjoy the juices and coffee. There are a wide variety of breakfast options and salad, sandwiches for lunch. I wish there were more meat free options and substitutions were available.
Went for brunch. Husband got breakfast tacos, i got traditional breakfast, and we got them chia pudding bowl to split! His was very good, the home fries were good for us both too. Mine was good, the eggs were a little undercooked for my liking, but im particular! The chia pudding breakfast bowl was amazing! I honestly couldve ordered another to go!Our wait time was relatively quick as well, and our server was very friendly. We will definitely go back.
Great food friendly staff. Youll want to get in line on line to wait can be long to get a seat otherwise.
First Watch is a decent breakfast/lunch option for Columbus. The wait staff are 10/10, but the food leans on the sweet/diner-y side. Its certainly not their primary goal, but there are a *few* vegetarian options. But be aware that they often use rennet based cheeses like gruyere and parmesan which are not vegetarian. The avocado toast was a solid option. They had a fall special cinnamon roll, but the caramel and cinnamon toast crunch cereal on it were too much and it tasted more like candy than a good cinnamon roll.
Everyone is super friendly at this location. We are from another state and our first watch here is not as friendly unfortunately we will not visit there again at ours. But when we are in Columbus, Ohio we will look forward to eating at this First Watch everyday during our visit . Food is always delicious and hot. Thank you thank you.
Excellent food and environment. Our server was also great. Will repeat the visit again.
I ordered the traditional breakfast. Asked for my 2 eggs to be over medium. In my experience, cooking or eating out, never had over medium eggs come back this hard, as in the picture. This was the 1st try.Our waitress asked if i wanted them cooked again. The 2nd time was a little softer but not by much. I just told her that Id eat the 2nd batch cause I was hungry and needed to have breakfast.I know cooking in a restaurant is a little different from at home but I figured eggs couldnt be that difficult.
The drinks are very fun and refreshing here. Really like the interior design with the steampunk pipes and the iron skillets hanging from the fencing, however I feel like the ceiling could use some work in terms of matching the aesthetic and the seasoned breakfast potatoes included on the side of my entree were overcooked
Everyone said to try the birria quesadilla eggs benedict. Yowza! Absolutely delicious, also some of the tastiest coffee Ive had at any restaurant.
The host was great! he gave us two options for sitting arrangements with out party of 8, which we said could be split up if it made it easier. Our waitress Jessica was wonderful as took care of our bachelorette party of 8.Quick service and very attentive to our needs.
First time going loved it !!! Will definitely be going back !!
We had a great visit to First Watch in German Village which I attribute to our fabulous waitress, Cherie. She was incredibly friendly and made recommendations that we loved! She went above and beyond and made our Saturday morning breakfast an amazing experience. She even offered to-go coffees! We will be back!
The greatest brunch in Columbus! The most delicious offerings with the best staff! Everything is fresh and absolutely divine. You must try their amazing juice! Take a friend or 2 and enjoy a beautiful brunch that youll never forget.
The way she was knocked over our water but was quick to clean it up and very apologetic the food was good the waffle could have been cooked a little longer iced coffee was not good at all it was just milk but the hostess took it off the bill and she was very kind thank you
It was fine. There was no wait at 11 am on a Sunday, however there was by the time we left. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes and they were pretty good. GF ordered a sandwich, sans meat. She wanted the potatoes cooked extra, they were not, although they were still good. We were both both very surprised by the lack of the vegetarian options and substitutions for a healthy-themed breakfast spot in a large city. I wouldnt go again, however it wasnt a bad experience. I also got one of their breakfast drinks (pineapple & coconut), it was super tasty!
It was my first visit to a First Watch and I will be back. As if the Million Dollar Bacon wasnt enough incentive to stop in, the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and the Morning Medicine juice blend made for quite the tasty meal. The pancakes were so good that I ate them without syrup after eating away the strawberries and lemon curd. Everything that my family had was enjoyed and the staff were all very friendly. We will definitely return in the future.
I had the smoked salmon with rosted vegetables and gluten free breadIf you are gluten sensitive or have Celiacs, it is best that you do not have them place the bread in the toaster. It was a very rewarding experience here.
Kat our server was awesome. The food was great. My daughter and I enjoyed our time here. Oh you guys, the crab meat is real in the crab cake Eggs Benedict π΄
Very good vegan breakfast options. Floridian french toast pancakes veggie hash and fruit. Perfect addition to the city vegan options. Taste great nice atmosphere place smells amazing too. Friendly staff food made to order. Healthy
The place is good, my biggest concern every time I come here is the time. Its very packed all the time and the online ordering operation has serious scheduling problems. Good luck if youβre trying to pick up things on time. I understand it if it was a one time thing but I live around the corner and Iβve been disappointed every time.Hope the people who own the chain see this issue and do something. Because, too bad the food is good. Just the operations. I write with extreme frustration today because I waited here for 2 hours for a quick pick up I placed. The food is not cheap, I really hope they respect peopleβs time. Disappointed for the third time consecutively.
I ordered super seed protein pancakes, a cold brew drink, and some million dollar bacon. The protein pancakes came with blueberries, bananas, and some sauces that were absolutely delicious. All for only $10, a great deal for these pancakes. Ill definitely be coming back just to get those. The service was fun and made the experience more happy. The cold brew drink was good, not as strong as a caribou or Starbucks cold brew. They put whipped cream and a bendy straw inside of my cold brew which was a nice addition. The bacon was dipped in syrup I believe, and was so good. It came with four strips and I could have ate so much more. The person I came with had a BLT with salmon added on per the waiters recommendation, that turned out phenomenal as well. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a good hearty breakfast. The atmosphere inside was really homey, a lot of wooden fixtures, they put seals on their tables which was interesting. Ill be coming back ASAP.
Very good breakfast clean and healthy choices.. pricey but you get quality too for your money
We were looking for a place to have breakfast that would have healthier options. We came across First Watch and it was the best experience! The mwnu options were all so good that it was hard to choose. They have nutritional information and # of calories which is geeat if you want to watch out for what youre eating. We each orderd a dish (4 peopleand some pancakes to share. All the dishes were delicious and big! The pancakes were amazing and also big. So Id definitley encourage people to order different dishes and share. The server was very kind, answered all our questions. The dishes all came out at the same time and were perfectWell definitely visit the place again
Tried First Watch for the first time New Years weekend but ate there & it was so yummy that my husband & I decided to get takeout there this morning. It was $35 dollars for everything & was super disappointing to spend that much for breakfast to have it be terrible. Spent way too much on βhot chocolateβ for this single digit cold morning for it to be disgusting brown flavored water & nothing like the photo. Ended up making hot chocolate at home and throwing this out. The food and βhot chocolate waterβ also was cold and just not worth any money. Stick to HangOverEasy or just cooking at home .. or at least not their takeout lol! Never again!
I received a gift card from a customer and Im so glad i did. This place is right around the corner from us and its great. The biscuits and gravy are ummm ummm good. Nice friendly staff. Perfect breakfast spot. Came back again and food was still delicious. Also tried the meditation drink with a boost. Great place for a good bite to eat.
We had great service. The place is clean and runs efficiently. This is a great place for breakfast food. It is am easy choice when you want options for everyone in a clean setting. We enjoyed our food and ate every last bite. One critique, I hate it when a place has an upcharge for quality maple syrup. If your food deserves high quality maple syrup then serve it with that automatically or dont offer it at all. Either your food is good and deserves it or your food deserves cheap maple syrup.
I take away my stars, all of them. This place is a rip off. Ive ordered through Uber eats. My salad had no chicken. My chickichenga had no sauce. My fruit cup was 5 grapes which is better than the last time when I got 4 grapes. If youre gonna rip people off, no business for you!!!
We had an amazing experience here. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious!
Great food great service and they even offer a book to give you the recipes they use. We bought the book ad hope next time we visit we can make it back to at least one location. The bathroom floor...that was another story. it was so greasy that I couldnt stand up without my feet slipping apart from each other. Watch the video....Owner replied and I will for sure 100% return if Im even in town one bad day doesnt define a resturant.
Our waitress Caroline was AMAZING! So nice and attentive, even though they were busy. Pumpkin spiced donuts were DELICIOUS π Bacon and avocado skillet was so tasty and filling, the toast it came with is so good too. Hubby had the chicken-chunga and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! Will definitely go back when were in town! FYI- do yourself a favor and check in online so you dont have to wait so long in person ππ½
Pumpkin spice donuts drew us in & the short rib omelet was amazing!
Friendly Service. Great Food! Farmhouse hash was amazing. The avocado toast was so good.
Cant go wrong with first watch. The food is always fantastic, the team is ready to serve, and just a good place to have a good meal. If you havent been there do it.
Very clean. Excellent/super fancy/ beautiful food presentation and delicious π for a regular price. Excellent customer service!
If you are in Columbus and looking for a really good breakfast try First Watch. My go to is the Alaskan smoked salmon veggie frittada, while my wife likes the avocado toast.
First Watch has enjoyable breakfast and creative lunch options. All the meals are cooked to order with fresh ingredients. Many of the menu items can be made vegetarian and there are gluten free dishes as well. I ordered the trifecta: waffle π§ eggs π³ and chicken sausage. Ive eaten at different locations and the standard of quality is recurrent ππΎ great food
Always awesome! Hubby loved the Shrimp and grits. I loved the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl.
Very impressive and very good at what they are doing here! The food was good, the service was excellent! The place is very clean and comfortable! Great selection of menus! Big parking lot!
496 S. High St.Come see the "Farm Fresh" farm motif. Just excellently played out with shelving of measuring cups, and watering cans. AND, an entire wall decorated with tractor seats.Enjoy the oversized pancakes, as usual. But, the Hardwood Bacon is oversized in flavor!Plenty of organic, and gluten-free selections to salivate your palate. The servers are attentive. Ready to warm your heart!Psalm 34- Keith
We love coming here. The staff are great. They know the menu and are super friendly. The food is always delicious and its out pretty quickly. Only downside is the parking lot. If you can walk or uber there its probably best. However I would walk 100 miles to get here so I look over that little issue. I wish there was one closer by Id probably go every morning!
Some quality food from other FW in different areas, same menu, and always large portions. I like how each FW I have been in has their own unique design. Not too crowded on weekday, fast service and food. Fresh coffee.
I ordered a coffee, egg sandwich with fruit (subbed for potatoes). It was all very good. The fruit was ripe and everything was very fresh tasting. We arrived around 10:45 on a Tuesday morning. When many tables were available, they said they still werenβt seating because the kitchen was behind, even though people were sitting and standing in the waiting area. We waited at least 30 minutes, but others waited 45. This seems to be a trend. Hostess and servers were all very responsive and friendly. We will come back but try to beat the crowd.
Always great! loved my smoked salmon benedict, hits the spot perfect! Such delicious fresh ingredients.Very clean and friendly service, thank you Donni!!
After a festive night of amazing fireworks, my kids and I were searching for a decent place to have brunch. After searching fruitlessly for an hour (it was the 4th of July so most places were closedwe discovered this little gem in the German village. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but what a treat it was to get our food. As a huge foodie, I like to visit new places and experience different foods, and this place wasnt a let-down! They hadnt anticipated such huge crowds, but they stepped it up and took care of everything quickly with only a few mistakes. The strawberry basil lemonade was perfection in a cup, and my bacon style eggs Benedict were spot on. The Floridian French toast was a culinary and visual delight and I will most certainly be back with my sister in tow for another great experience!
