First Hotel Norrtull in Stockholm
Description
A beautiful hotel at a great spot, though the breakfast service was chaotic and our room had a bad scent that came from the drain..
MoreThey have a very nice entrance and bar to hangout downstairs. So youd expect nice rooms as well, but they are quite old with really bad furniture and taste, wholes in the walls etc. I could also not sleep that well as the water running was quite loud from inside of the wall. Breakfast was pretty good though which saved the room.
MoreI genuinely loved the ambience (especially during the breakfast time). The room is cosy and comfortable and the staff is very courteous. Speaking of small things, they have somehow perfected the coffee and the pressure of the shower jet, and i cannot appreciate it enough. Will be back!. The location is slightly away from the city centre but easily accessible by the train and bus. Very close to Karolinskas biomedicum so its a great place to stay for conferences.
MoreIt was neat learning about some of the history behind the motel. Rooms themselves are clean and service was good!
MorePRICE OF A LUXURY HOTEL, VALUE LESS THAN A YOUTH HOSTEL -this is an excellent example for a bad hotel, with small, dark, shady rooms, and even worse bathrooms. There is no separate shower and the water floods the whole (very small bathroom. Toilet and bathtub are the cheapest they could have found, and the bathtub itself is too small to brush the teeth in. The room itself has an uncomfortable bed, lamps like in a factory and partially dirty walls. The only ok-ish experience is the breakfast, although just doesnt justify at all the hefty price of 155eur per night! Best to avoid. (see the pictures as well, for further impressions)
MoreThis hotel is well located however is not really central. It is a nice hotel but there are few things that need to be improved. Firstly the bathroom smelled a bit - I was busy with work meetings all day and really didnt have much time to ask for a different room or querying alternatives. The first day the towel had a big hole, to me this demonstrate lack of attention to customers. The room was little but ok, althought if I had stayed more than two days there was no real place to hang all clothes. Breakfast ok but very little on the sweet side (jam and some mini chocolate pasties only). Staff friendly and polite. In the end, it is a good hotel but need little fixing.
MoreA bit far to walk from Odenplanen which is the subway. The hotel had very nice rooms which can be seen from the photos. Since we had suits, it was spacious as well as comfortable. The staff had nice attitide and helped us as much as they could since we got there 3 hrs earlier than the check in. Still they had the rooms ready. It would be wise to ask them in before hand if your arriving time is earlier than the checkin time. The breakfast was delicious. Lots of variaty of food, but mostly standard. If you visit this hotel, then you have made a good choice!
MoreTerrible hotel. I was on a worktrip and switched rooms after the first night due to noise and because the room wasn‘t clean. After the second night I cancelled the room because it was even dirtier then the last. I do not recommend this hotel.
MoreAffordable with friendly staff. A decent number of restaurants nearby. Roughly a 20 to 30 minute walk from central station.
MoreThe staffs extremely nice. The rooms are clean and big, but nothing special. However its very good for the price. The breakfasts in the morning were included and very good
MoreStaff is very nice and willing to help. Rooms are big, but they are due to a makeover and they feel a bit "empty" since they are so large. Bathroms are nice, but could be bigger. You get shapmoo, soap, towel and a fan in them. WiFi is stong in rooms. Breakfast is very good. You have a vast variety in food. If you dont like what they offer you have Lidl 3 min away.TransportIn front of hotel you have a bus station for bus 57. The best way to get to city center is by commuter rail. You have its station very close to the hotel (200m).PsSorry that the room is messy but we had a check oit that day.
MoreQuite close to the hoapital furniture was not the best you can get lucky with getting a new refurbished or an old. Rocked down room breakfast is good
MoreAverage, but still a decent hotel. Breakfast was OK-ish. The reception- and bar/lounge area deserves 4 stars. Good for the business traveller.
MoreNot the cleanest hotel I ever stayed in, dust in the room and in the shower some black spots, but in overall good hotel with friendly staff and goid breakfast. For short stay very good price choice!
MoreOk location and there are very good unpretentious restaurants close by. Staff is nice and the entrance hall is very cozy and good for work .The only thing it is missing is a good breakfast! Despite offering a wide selection of food, the coffee is bad, the bacon is never crispy and eggs are just ok.
MoreWeird layout but nice clean room and a good bar. Breakfast was disappointing - poor coffee and execrable bacon. Shame, otherwise lovely.
MoreGood hotel, bit old and dusty though. Well located, great breakfast, staff is friendly when asked for directions.
MoreBooked a four person room. Got one double bed. They had to put in extra beds. Not that comfortable. The breakfast had almost noneatable bacon and sausages. But the hotel looked nice and clean.
MoreGreat clean hotel and probably the best restaurant to be if you want to work all evening. Personnel very nice and upbeat.
MoreGreat place to stay for a business trip, a very short walk away from KI (10-15 min). Also, it’s right next to Haga Park, a perfect location to go for a jog.
MoreTrendy hotel, built in a renovated wine storage! Clean and spacious. Great breakfast! The only downside was that room didnt have SC and sinve we were there on the hottest swedish summer, it was like sleeping in sauna 😀
MoreGood hotel, its a stone house so not the best ventilation thou (gets warm when its warm outside). Ok breakfast, except the scrambled eggs that taste sour. The only negative (all hotels Ive been to fail at thisis that we requested dairy free breakfast, we notified the hotel in advanced and also again at check in where we specified that we also cant eat soy. Still only a soymilk and dairy free butter at breakfast the next day. We talked to the staff (who are mostly fantasticand they promised to fix it. Today, the 4th day, we finally got oatmeal based yoghurt. Also we have had to ask for dairy free butter every single day. Good location with a bus stop right outside where bus 57 takes u into town, both Lidl and Hemköp only a short walk away and two subway stations (Odenplan and St. Eriksplannear by. Very comfy soft bed. The stay would have been perfect with a fridge, water boiler and fan in the room, but I think only more expensive hotels have that.
MoreVery hot room, no air condition. No mini bar or fridge. Clean and big room and comfortable bed.
MoreDisappointed. Hot and sticky rooms with aircom locked at 21. Breakfast is bread eggs waffles and cereal. Cold meat n ham n limited salad. Airport bus stops outside which is a great plus. 5 min walk to Stockholm Odenplan commuter rail and 1 stop to Central station
MoreVery friendly service. Small rooms but very clean. The breakfast is ok, quality and offer is good. It is some steps away from the dining room but this is good because so you can eat more relaxed. The hotel is near the center. Bikes can be rent, bus stations are near. The elevator to the rooms is only usable with the room card which is good because people who are not from the hotel cannot get easy to your room. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out without any additional costs.
MoreOverall a nice hotel but would have liked AC in the rooms. Breakfast was really good, a lot of choices.
MoreVery nice staff. Breakfast buffet and wifi was included. The room and bathroom were clean and it was quiet all the the time. There is a TV and iron in your room. The beds were comfy. Breakfast was good and adequate, just the coffee was no highlight. There is a bus station in front of the hotel that brings you directly to the airport. Also public transport stops here (bus 57). The subway (tunnelbanais a 8 min walk (Odenplan), from there its 5 min to the city center by train. You have some supermarkets and restaurants close by, and even a park located to a lake. Very nice vicinity, we enjoyed our stay.
MoreGood service, and clean rooms. Reasonable prices during some periods. Also, there is a quite ok restaurant on the ground floor. Ive stayed there twice. You need to have some luck with the room you get. Once I wasnt satisfied due to poorly arranged interior. During my second stay the room was ok.
MoreA nice place for a company julbord. The food was good, nice and proffesional staff. The dessert table was lacking a bit in my mind. Overall a nice place to go.
MoreThe beds were very comfortable but the rooms were a bit too large and felt a little empty(if you can complain about that). The breakfast was also very good. Overall its a 4/5.
MoreNice staff, breakfast, beds and lobby. The rooms could use a little bit of care. But all in all we had a wonderful stay here.
MoreWorn down Hotel, got a super sized room that was not nice at all. The breakfast was also sub par. Not recommended.
MoreThis place is more to budget motel rather than 3 star hotel. They got a reception that more robot than human. Room very outdated compare to unreasonable price. Breakfast very little option. Wifi was open wifi, which easily to be breach. Shower no curtain which very weird . Also currently they had a construction near by so be prepared. The good thing is room was clean everyday and close to bus stop.
MoreA very good place to stay not too far from the city center in Stockholm. The rooms are fine, and breakfast is very rich and diverse. Personnel is kind and helpful. You can take the bus just outside the hotel, it will take you to the city center: this is very useful if you have little time to visit the city. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful.
MoreLovely hotel a little bit outside of Stockholm. It is very convenient to get to the city center as the hotel has a bus stop and a metro station near by. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast found at most hotels, nothing special. They have a restaurant at the hotel but it is way pricier than restaurants nearby.
MoreWe had a very pleasent experience during our stay. The saftey concerns in the breakfast area as described in other reviews are not big of a deal. If you keep your personal belongings with you, you wontt have any issues.
MoreWell it might be a good hotel. However, my experience there was awful. Arrived at 23.00 after a long journey, the receptionist couldnt find the booking the my company made for me. Not under my name, not under the companys name. I provided him my booking reference, the website through which the reservation was made, but he kept saying that theres no booking for me. After an hour trying to figure out what happened and to find where my booking is gone, he finally booked a room for me in another hotel in the city center (because this one was fully booked and I had to pay for this one again). Finally, after calling the hotel the next day, they recognized that they made a huge mistake, the receptionist was so narrow-minded and obsessed with hotels booking system, that he didnt even checked his desk and the mail box just in front of him, where my booking was ....
MoreThe rooms are comfortable and clean. The price is also budgeted. The breakfast buffet had very limited options. In the same price better options are available in the city center
MoreVery lovely entrance and cafè/morning buffet area. Our room at the top floor had sadly no windows other then one in the roof 3 meters up in the air.
MoreThis hotel feels like a huge restaurant, with additional rooms for sleepy customers. Seriously there always lots of outside customers queuing to the till / bar to pay for their lunch or dinner which probably means the food is great. Its average and the portions are usually smaller than normal, while breakfasts were rather limited in choice unless you like eggs..Since the rooms were created by converting an old building into a hotel, you can feel some amenities were skipped. My room for example had only two double power sockets, two of which were used by lights so probably bring your own extension cable. The hotel WiFi requires that the customer connects to an unprotected network. In this day and age this is probably quite risky and unprofessional, therefore try to connect via a VPN. There are no facilities to boil water in the room and there is also no hairdryer. There is a trouser press but if you need an iron you might need to contact the reception desk / bar on the ground floor. The only problem is there no telephone in the room, so you would have to take the lift downstairs to talk to the reception staff. Thats why I think this doesnt really feel like a hotel at all but more like a hostel..
MoreThis review is for the restaurant. The food looks good to the eye but rarely tastes anything. Bland, dull tasting food for lunches and the burgers are fairly tasteless as well. Its a good looking place with good looking serving people, tidy, fresh, everything nice on the surface. But when it comes to value, nothing. If you dont get a drove of fish bones in your fish you might at least eat yourself barely full on this bland tasting lunch or after work menu.
MoreGreat place, unique but uniform style. Breakfast was also quite good. Not too far from metro and bus stations.
MoreBeautiful hotel. A bit of a walk from the rest of Stockholm (20 min walkbut the breakfast buffet is fantastic and the rooms are very nice.
MoreThe lunches served here are really good and relatively cheap. Worth visiting especially on Fridays, when they have a buffet lunch. I had Spanish tapas and South Carolina style lunches here and both were delicious.
MoreThis is the SHITTEST hotel I have ever stay.1. Super cold room, the layout is like a student dormitory, and its not enough heating.2. Extremely BAD service, I dont think they know what that means at all! some examples, we are a family with stroller & many many luggages, after walking up & down stairs, finally we reach our room, and there is an elevator right in front of the room! second example, they dont have fridge in the room and they refused to help us preserve breast milk in their fridge. Even more, we tell the restaurant staff we would like to eat there, after 20 minutes, we didnt even get menu, btw, she is serving only ONE guest cross the room.I can deal with the facility situation, but not the unfriendly staff & dreadful service, I would like people to know how awful they are!
MoreIt has an amazing lobby and selection for breakfast, however the room itself is very small and the walls are bare.
MoreThe hotel is near karoliniska institute hospital for 10 min walk across the main street and about 12 min far from the nearest T-station(odenplan, the entrance is fine but the Hall is dark with old furniture fashionThe room is divided I can say between the elevators as the near reception elevators are good furnished and the elevator far from reception is for low quality rooms. My experience is the room simple used furniture with used uncomfortable mattress with tight bathroom. The main reason for my stay is the closeness to KI.
MoreThe hotel is pretty worn-down (old furniture, wallpaper that needs a make-over and bathrooms that would benefit from some serious cleaningand since the prices are high this hotel was closer to 1 than to 3 stars in this review.
MoreHotel (50e a night in Septand central. Due to the location I was able to walk/bike anywhere I wanted to go. The hotel is covered in WiFi hotspots and the speed is pretty good (4.5Mbps down/2.5Mbps up). Staff is friendly and when asked about some tourist info they were quite helpful.
MoreThe service people was in general very rude and unfriendly. Wanted to have breakfast before 6.30, and finally got it after a long negotiation. Not recommended.
