Stumbled across this place in a sea of tourist traps. The place is pure history and the food was ON POINT! We were pleasantly surprised to eat this clearly homemade fare, everything was perfection. Dont go in looking for a sit down, chain type place. Vherr the floors are scuffed with years of boot prints, the walls might be dingy and the bathrooms painted over and over for 100 years but the feeling you get when you walk in the door makes you feel like you stepped back into history.What a grand surprise and my family of 14 will never be able to thank you for giving our dad one of the greatest experiences of his life...and ours.

One of the first bars you come across in Ketchikan just opposite the cruise disembarkation area. Very friendly landlady who introduced drag racing to the area. All local Alaskan beers on tap.

Id happily travel half way round the world just to chat to the fabulous petrol head landlady. To find her running a bar stocked with local Alaska beer provided a paradise on a bright sunny afternoon. Possibly a bit scary, a locals local, but take a deep breath and jump in. Loved the friendly staff, top class beer and fascinating history on the walls. Id like to come back and spend longer. Cheers.

The place is almost too cold inside to relax. The only draw is Lisas Kitchen located inside of 1st City. The chef makes the most awesome nachos and the best wings.

The new first city is beautifully remodeled and non-smoking. open daily from 11-12 weekdays and 11-2 Fri and Sat with a dj or live music. we have a pool table, flat screens and a jukebox. (Soon to have a restaurant and more!Come shake off your workday funk and enjoy a nice cocktail or other tasty libation! ☆
