Steampunk motif in a storied haunt offering specialty thin-crust pizzas & regional craft beers.
Its always a great experience at Fireside! Awesome food too!
Really tasty pizza and great service. It’s worth making the stop to check it out !
Enjoyed the first visit. The soft drinks were flat with no bubbles...
Excellent pizza, vibe and service. I will be back frequently to try all of the pizzas on the menu.
There were 15 of us together for happy hour and conversation. We were pleased with the beer selection and the menu. I had the delicious Thai chicken kabobs and my husband had a pepperoni pizza. Both were very good, I would have the kabobs again! Spicy, crunchy additions to the kabobs were an amazing addition to the kabobs. I didnt hear a complaint from any of us. Good prompt service as well. We will return!
Service was slow but they were very busy. Food was excellent. Price reasonably.
Wonderful food and service. Been going to fireside since I was a teenager living in Richfield.
Awesome service. Great drinks. Especially Monday 2 for 1s!
I make a point to get pizza here every trip back to Minnesota. They have a great menu but Im partial to their fabulous brick oven pizza. Ive been eating here for more than 20 years and have never had a less than excellent experience. The folks are always friendly and the service is just plain great! The photo of the pizza is the Special. You cant go wrong!
Friendly service and great variety of food and drink options with moderate prices.
One of the BEST pizzas Ive ever eaten. The service was very good. Ill be back next week...
Food is good! Been here before and the service was ok but this time horrible. I came with my family. The waitress took 3 of the 5 people order. Said she would be right back helped a few other tables and never came back. They brought half of our table order and the last 2 people didn’t even order. Brought it to there attention and it still took a while to even place our order. Bought time they brought the rest of the food out the rest of our family was done eating. I understand it’s busy and staff is short but there was no acknowledgement and they didn’t even care.
The food is very good. If you havent been there in a long time, its a whole new experience. I actually used to work there back when the Earths crust was still forming. My friend had the chicken Caesar salad and said it was the very best shed ever had.
Wonderful neighborhood joint. Nice patio, nice interior. Always friendly, always fast , always delicious. Buy one get one free drinks on Mondays! Enough said
The food never disappoints. I had a walleye sandwich on a bun that I didnt have to fight with and the right amount of tartar sauce and garnish. The fries were tasty enough to not need ketchup. My companion had chicken tacos (3that were fresh and tender and juicy (stay over your plate, youll be fine). They have a nice mix of seating including al fresco. And the service was good if a little sparce. I may become a regular.
They had a good beer selection. The bahn mi sandwich was spicy and delicious! We took a pizza to go and that was good as well. Service was great and they had a good beer selection. Will definitely be back!
Wait staff were friendly and fast. Food order came out quickly. Their French fries and chili were highlights of our very tasty meal. Patio is very comfortable, wish it was a little larger.
The wait staff was fabulous and attentive. The food was phenomenal. Even my wifes portion of cod was ample. I had the rigatoni, we took leftovers home.
Fantastic service and amazing food! Best bar stools I’ve ever sat in. Great atmosphere. The bartender Graham is the best, very knowledge cool and friendly. 10/10 I’ve had Sherry (cherry?as a server and she’s amazing too!
They must do pizza well, because we tried the Asian fusion items and some onion rings and they were awlful!! There was so much salt added to the Thai chicken and the beer batter that we were forced to stop eating after just a few bites. I mean, after washing off the kabobs, all that was left were tasteless, rubbery pieces of chicken. Some cook needs a lesson.
Have never had a bad meal.
Great pizza and pasta. Good appetizers and drinks. A fun casual atmosphere. Friendly servers. Would definitely go back!
Fantastic food. Amazing staff. The Meatloaf melt gets me every time.
Excellent food! I had the best sandwich ever...a hot pot roast muchroom melt on a perfected toasted sour dough. Looking forward to going back!
They werent staffed appropriately for a Saturday night. Our table sat for a while without seeing our server with empty drinks. Staff was friendly and inside was very clean.
I have eaten here 4x and loved it until yesterday, I was showing this place off to a friend and the worker was very rude to us the moment we walked in. In informed us that there will be a wait but we didn’t mind because we weren’t in no rush. The inside was kind of full so we decided we wanted to eat outside since it was a nice day. The worker says, “you guys can eat outside but the tables are metal so that would make it cold” again we didn’t mind it was finally a nice day in Minnesota. The worker then says, “I’m busy inside so I wouldn’t be able to get to you guys fast” again this is fine because we are in no rush. We get outside and the workers says, “the tables are dirty you guys would have to wait at least 10 minutes before I clean them I’m busy inside”. Again we don’t mind! We sit outside for a least 5 minutes and tried to put the shade up and the worker rushes outside to our table to inform us that he his not ready for the outside patio to be opened. We were shocked because he just allowed us to sit outside. He then says, “this area is closed if you see anyone trying to sit out here tell them we are closed”. The guy was just very rude!
Had the pot roast sandwich with onion rings. The food was cold and served in obscene portions. The sandwich was basically toasted garlic bread smothered in beef stew and the giant onion rings were 90% grease-soaked batter. The meal woke me up at 3am and I spent the rest of the panic-stricken night in a revolving door to the bathroom. Guess I shoulda read the reviews and tried the pizza.
This place is a hidden gem, how have I not heard of this place before? The style/ furnishings/ fixtures are clever and hip. The pizzas were awesome and when we were there Superbowl Sunday large pizzas were the price of a small so we had lots of leftovers and the pizza was just as good cold! I loved the pickle spears as well. The ranch dressing was tasty.Waiter was attentive and kind. The patio looked like a great place to be in warmer weather too!
Great food. The pizza was great and we got some onion ring and that was great too.
A cozy place for dinner. They were fairly busy when we came and the waitress seemed overwhelmed, but we still had good service. The mule was fantastic! Food was okay- I got pasta. I would go again but order something different.
Great food and such a atmosphere. The staff made it a great experience and they have some great specials and deals. Their drinks were also really good as well.
Great little place that you would probably drive by. We ate lunch there and loved the special which was buy a large pizza for the price of a small pizza. Nice artisan quality pizzas with a thin crust and fresh ingredients. We added a salad that was fresh and delicious. Good service, and even though they were busy we did not have to wait too long. Friendly atmosphere. It was too cold to dine on the outside patio area, but it look like a nice comfortable place to enjoy some drink and good food. Full bar. Clean bathrooms.
I had ordered the pot roast dinner. Great tasting! Not to mention the mash potatoes. Closest place to Southdale Center for some pot roast. Thanks folks! I did not know that this place had existed on Penn Avenue. I usually go to Freewheel Bike just south of you. What a surprise for great food! Ill definitely be ordering from this place again.
One of the best pizza places in the Mpls area. Nice atmosphere, fast and friendly service. Lots of great things on the menu. Have been coming to this place for about 40 years, have seen a lot of changes happen. Still the same sauce and fresh ingredients. Right now they are really doing a great job. Love Fireside, rarely do I give a restaurant 5 stars.
This casual pizza place has a bar. If you eat inside it is LOUD, fair warning. The server was attentive but seemed super busy and wasnt super friendly. We had the pretzel bites, garlic cheese bread, and a large specialty pizza (Kiss My Pizza). The pretz bites were good, but the cheese dip was more of a store bought salsa con queso vibe. I would have preferred a beer cheese and some honey mustard for a dip.The garlic cheese bread was not good. Pieces are too thick, not toasted well (if at all), clumpy cheese, and the garlic oil/butter they used just didnt sing through. The pizza was not great and overly expensive for what it was. Very greasy towards the center. Toppings were sloppily bunched towards that greasy center. The slice had serious floppage due to the grease. The specialty pizza itself was seriously lacking depth of flavor. It was very one note and pretty disappointing overall.Although we likely wont be back anytime soon, if you visit I recommend the pretz bites even if the cheese dip was meh. Avoid the Kiss My Pizza and Cheesy bread.
Back on a visit to the Twin Cities. Grew up here and fireside pizza was a favorite. Luv the updated remodel. Ordered the classic Fireside special. Tasted just as I remembered it. Thank You for keeping Fireside nostalgia alive in the pizza offerings! Full bar for those who need it.
We were lucky to find a table outside quickly as it was very busy. The waitress meant well but took forever to get to us and then forgot half our order and overall was a Very Long arduous experience. Paper trays were provided and no silverware and the paper was blowing away everywhere. The table next to us had the same experience. The pizza was decent but the cheese would slide off whenever you tried to pick it up or eat it. The lettuce in the forgotten salad we ordered did not seem very fresh and took forever to arrive even after the apology of forgetting to put in the order. Dont think we will be back.
Excellent food, tots are delightful. The sour cream sauce seemed very rich (more mayo like), but the meal was fantastic. The meats are Fall apart tender. I went with the Reuben and was very pleased, others at the table all really liked their food as well. It was mask free when I went, but cant speak to current status.
Great service and friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Mediocre food and drinks, especially for the price.Bacon cheddar burger was... Not good. The patty didnt seem fresh, had earmarks of being frozen. Bacon was not a good cut, the cheddar was fine.Tots tasted like fish.Cheese curds were good.Whiskey soda was... Garnished with lemon and lime slice? Not great. Glad I didnt order an old fashioned.
Been here a couple times and been very pleased. The did a great remodeling job on it a few years ago. It’s much more contemporary now. The restaurant is a bit cramped for seating especially if there are more than 2 of you. There is a nice patio outside also. The food is tasty. Pizza is really good and their sandwiches have great flavor.
I got a Groupon lunch deal $11 for $20 in food and ordered garlic bread which was meh just cheese no garlic/parsley or much flavor. Then ordered a thin crust extra pepperoni pizza which was pretty good. Cool lighting and stuff but they have the tables packed tightly and the service was okay, kinda like they didnt we want anyone there for lunch
The cheeseburger pizza was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our server, the happy hour specials and the quality of the food. We highly recommend this hidden gem.
I really liked it. Pizza was a thin crust style with a good amount of cheese. Ceasar salad was pretty good and the cheese bread was very good. Service was very attentive, pleasant. I would definitely recommend going. It is fairly loud so if youre looking for a quiet spot this might not be top of the list otherwise definitely go
I love this place! I come here regularly and devour the pepper special pizza or chicken wings, once both! They have patio seating and a fun indoor atmosphere. My only suggestion would be a larger beer selection!
Amazing food! The Asian fries? Dont you dare leave without trying them! Worth the price. Went with a group of 12 people for my birthday. Excellent service outstanding food and reasonable prices all in one! Have already told everyone at work about it and were planning many happy hours here! Perfect for my steampunk birthday! Thanks Fireside!!
Great little place for pizza and pub type food. Food is good, but just a little pricey, although the portions are hearty. Fun iron works type theme. Bar and eating areas, with plenty of TVs for sports.
Awesome food, unique cocktails and great service!
Been here a few times now and still love it. Recently came here on a Friday and it was of course busy and there was a bus of kids coming in for dinner? Some sort of field trip thing? Bogged up the place a lot of they werent very loud luckily. Drink prices are a bit high and the cocktails seem either a bit heavy handed with sweeteners or lacking the liquor portion. Suggest sticking with beer. When we tried to order a couple pizzas the bartender told us if you wait 15 more min you can get them for happy hour prices. Great! The person who paid later the next day saw that we paid still the normal price so that was a let down.
A must must must place to check out! One of the best Bloody Marys I have ever had and the best meatballs ever! I
I had the Fireside Special pizza for lunch (which they also give a great deal, a large for the price of small for lunchand it was excellent. Definitely will be coming back!
