Firenzen - Noodle Bar 上海面馆 in Florence
Description
Privilege
When the service is bad and staff are rude the food always tastes worse 😅Was pretty poor quality tho
MoreHad the pad Thai. Noodles over cooked and sticky. Chicken was shredded so you cant really see it. I liked that they served edamame and prawn crackers as a snack when seated. Friendly service.
MoreWe came here not expecting traditional Asian flavors and we really enjoyed our meal. We ordered the iced matcha latte, Thai veggie rolls, and bulgogi… all very good. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was great. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.
MoreGreat food and very clean restaurant
Really good food and drinks. Also nice atmosphere in the little backyard :)
No idea what this was but it sure ain’t Thai / Viet / Japanese
Dont get me wrong, I love Italian food. But if you are looking for a break in the pasta/pizza routine, this place definitely fills the bill. Excellent fusion of different Asian styles. Each, paired to an Italian wine. So far, each dish Ive tried has been excellent.Highly recommended.
MoreI couldn’t wait to post this. I am finishing off my dishes and have to say. Wow!If you need a break from Italian cuisine, say less. The vegetarian pad Thai is packed with flavor, along with the vegetarian spinach and bamboo dumplings 🥟 + the spring rolls! We’re ordering another pad Thai to split now.Chefs kiss 🤌🏼
MoreExcellent but expensive, pad thai was delicious - with a vegetarian option.
Hidden gem in Florence! We came here looking for Asian food after a few days of delicious Italian. Tried the spring rolls, papaya salad, fried rice, bibimbap and Thai curry. Everything was delicious.
MoreHuge surprise, we had ramen .. tonkatsu and soba both great
This restaurant is highly rated and we wanted a change from pasta and bread so we were very excited to try it out. Disappointingly, the food is very bland . I had a ramen ( soba noodles and my partner had a pad Thai. Both had zero flavours. Coming from Vancouver , maybe we were spoiled with the true Asian flavours but this place isn’t it. The service was amazing though. Also they include a cover charge ( 2 euro / person but then you have free edamame and some shrimp chips.
MoreExcellent stop if you are craving for authentic oriental cuisine amidst a barrage of pastas & pizzas
MoreFor those of us traveling from the far east, like from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, China, Malaysia and Singapore, you may want to take your expectations on the taste of the food created by this restaurant down a few notches. The food here is more fusion than authentic asian. The shrimp dumping could be heated from pre-packed frozen food, the Thai spring rolls are filled with bean sprouts, while they feel crunchy in the mouth but they are too fibrous to swallow, turnips is a better alternative, and the shrimp fried rice is just wet, and we all know that we use cooked rice left overnight to make a good fried rice the following day (you just need to watch Uncle George’s YouTube vids on fried rice to know what I mean). So, for the taste of the food that we have ordered, I would give it a 2 for trying very hard. For service, I think the staff is attentive. For this I give this effort a 3. So the average score is 2.5, but since there isn’t a 2.5 star on the scoreboard, I would award this restaurant 3 stars instead.
MoreBeing used to eating all sorts of Asian food in Singapore we couldn’t be anything but disappointed with the food here. The service was good though.
MoreVery good food and very friendly. They feed my daughter all semester
Not bad, but not the usual menu that I can find in other Thai restaurants!!
An amazing joint.. must try.. food is delicious
Tasty modern Asian fusion. Beef bolgogi, Ramen and Bao were all really good. Service, ambiance and price were also nice
MoreNice noodles, a little pricey.a nice change from pizza and pasta for the local area.I have had better Ramen elsewhere
MoreI order food 10 mints before they closed the kitchen to take a way, unfortunately the food was not good I couldnt finish it.. Then I had pain in my stomach the whole night.. I gave rate over 5 just because the worker there was very nice and gentle
MoreReally nice dumplings the starters taste really good😍really nice vegetarian and vegan options as well
Moredidn’t like the chicken at all; too soft and it contains pieces in it. stars r for quick service, and spring rolls, and the fact they hand u fortune cookie before leaving. 🥠
MoreReally not a good experience. I would describe the food as Asian fast food rather than street food. The service was curt, barely muttering a word. The vegetarian tempura was served with shrimp and had to be exchanged. The chicken with grilled vegetables came instead with raw salad vegetables and had to be exchanged, though of the advertised chinese cabbage was nothing to be seen when the steamed vegetables came on the second try. The overly salted Miso sauce seemed straight out of a can.
MoreThe Food was really delicous, the waiter really friendly. Everything was perfect here. The Food came really fast, if you want to eat in Florenz come here you make nothing wrong with it
MoreGreat food and great service. All that we ordered was wonderful, the bulgogi was a favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant for a good meal.
Morenice restaurant with good combination of different dishes and smart service. the dishes we had - udon, pad thai and papaya salad were good prepared. Only strange thing was, we were not allowed to take place at the tables in the inside garden, despite that for the time we were there (early evening), it was empty and only two other guests were in the restaurant...anyway the street tables were ok :)
More+ clean+ not expensive+ friendly Staff- Tonkotsu is not worth it, it is not selfmade Tonkotsu (Why Pak Choi? The egg was good. I dont know what Kind of broth this was...)- how can someone sell Pad Thai, Tonkotsu, Poké Bowl in the same Restaurant.- If youre asian, dont go to this place, its not worth it.
MoreGood variety of different Asian/Hawaiian dishes! I think the fact that the menu is smaller makes it better, since the chefs can put more focus on individual dishes and deliver great flavours in the food.Ordered shrimp dumplings as appetizers and they were soft and lovely. Japanese style ramen also good alternative for people who don’t eat meat. Ended with coconut panna cotta and mango sauce. I highly recommend it along with the ginger/lime cheesecake!I also really liked the Sichuan style noodle salad, the mixture of spicy, sour, sweet and salty was perfect. Looking forward to try order dishes in the future! Also, really friendly servers working yesterday between 8:30 and 10 pm.😊
MoreOn our visit to Florence, my family and I visited Firenzen for dinner. The host was friendly and accommodating. The food was great. Firenzen is located near the centre where the majority of the popular sites are located. They have a simple yet unique take on Asian cuisine. With a few familiar/universal dishes (eg. French friesfor the less than adventurous. There is more than enough inside seating. With limited outside seating. I highly recommend this restaurant!
MoreOne star because they tried to trick the customer with an additional side menu which customer dont know, cost about 2€, at least try to explain to customers about the additional before they order. About the food, it was ok, acceptable.
MoreAwesome place for Asian food after 5 days of pizza and pasta!! The owner is really nice! Defiantly recommend it!
MoreI was craving something a little less heavy than the traditional Italian meals we’ve been having on our trip, so we decided on some Asian fusion. This place exceeded my expectation and was really delicious. I ordered a poké bowl and they accommodated my request to mix the salmon and tuna bowls together. You NEED to try their SpritZen cocktail! It was like a spritzer mixed with a mojito. Finally we had the Matcha-misu for dessert. Very different than anything I’ve had. No coffee flavor, but really light and creamy.
MoreOur favourite restaurant in town! There are plenty of good pizzas, pastas and gelato around but there are not many restaurants like this. Friendly and quick service, great variety of foods. Excellent flavours!! Every dish is a success!! Reasonable prices and very close to the center.
MoreAm finishing lunch at this place right now. Cold, curt and biased behavior by the waiter. He aint interested in serving at all. Many points here- 1. He didnt serve us fish chip but served on the other table. There is no question of confusion here as only two tables including us were filled and the rest tables had no cuetomers. 2. He is showing frustation when we are asking for salt and pepper, plates etc. - the most basic of things required at a restaurant. 3. He never came back to ask if anything else is needed, such as sauce etc.Food- Average kungpao chicken- had a tomato ketchup flavor. Bad dumplings-oil in which it was stir fried is reheated and hence dumplings have foul smell. No wonder the nearby chinese restaurant alfani 149 had many customers when we passed by it and this place had almost no customer.
MoreAfter 5 days of having very good pasta and pizza all around Italy...this place was a perfect and needed change.A friendly owner who takes pride in her restaurant and is putting out quality food.We tried the red curry salmon (great portion of fish, green chicken curry, teriyaki chicken, and beef noodle soup..all very very tasty.Chicago says Thank you :)
MoreYUMMY!!! Worth every penny! 😋😋😋A must if you are in the area. Clean, nice environment, and the customer service SUPER!You won’t be disappointed. 👍🏻👍🏻
MoreExcellent Asian noodle bar - I had the steamed shrimp ravioli and the Matche tea noodles - both excellent. The starting edamame and Asian chips are a very nice touchWould be very glad to try the poke bowl, as well.Recommended.
MoreAmazing restaurant location. Good for Asian-Italian fusion food. The staff is very kind and the food is prepared well and quick. Waiters are very friendly and help customers with any problems they have. Also very accommodating to food allergies. Overall, a good location. I recommend it as a casual eating location!
MoreVery delicious and service is excellent, we just searched on Google and absolutely not disappointed! Well done. Forgot to shoot another few dishes😋😋
MoreShrimp fried rice smelled like it was cooked in dishwater, pork dumplings were sketchy but edible if you’re starving.Took one bite of my shrimp fried rice then got up to leave. I told the cashier about my problems - he did not care.No refund, paid 20€ for a water bottle, 5 shrimp dumplings, and poor service. Overall, left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, the steamer that the dumplings came in was very dirty and there was a piece of hair in the rice chips they brought me.
MoreWonderful staff, amazing food. Loved the drinks! Recommend the Iced Matcha Latte.
MorePretty good Asian food, flavours were great. I felt portion sizes were a little small! I really appreciated how on the menu, they highlighted vegetarian and gluten free. We ordered the dumplings, fried rice and pad Thai
MoreWasn’t great. Average at best. I went on google and tripadvisor to read reviews for this place before ordering, I am surprised that it is getting so many positive reviews. Ordered a deliveroo from here today since the restaurant is close to me and I was a little tired. The pad Thai was ok not bad, nothing to write home about and the tofu was ok. The real disappointment was the Thai green curry, which wasn’t really a curry but rice with a microscopic minuscule amount of sauce mixed into it and some vegetables, it was not authentic at all there was not enough Thai green curry sauce, it was bland and flavourless. From a person who has spent a lot of time in Asia, I know how a Thai curry should be. The prices also aren’t fantastic for the average/low quality, I found it to be more expensive than it should be. this restaurant is really average at the very best.
MoreDuring my stay in Florence I tried a few Asian restaurants and this is by far the best I tried. Very friendly staff, excellent service and food.
MoreBeef Noodles is amazing!!If you got here you must try it! Soup is just the way how Chinese cook or even BETTER.And also they serve homemade dessert which is really delicious! We had Matchamisu that made like Tiramisu but in Matcha flavor. Me and my friend had a good dinner here.Staff here are very nice too. If you want to try some different Chinese food. this is the place you have to come while you in Florence!
MoreI enjoyed our dinner at this noodle bar from th moment we walked in the door. The employees were very pleasant and attentive the entire stay. The food was very delicious, didnt have to wait that long for it, either. Portions were also very decent and they even served the right sauces to match the dumplings and dimsum! The Asian woman was very helpful when I was contemplating which dessert(sto take, and the entire place gave a very satisfying experience.Would definitely recommend this place for people who wants a break from all the Italian food :)
MoreGreat variety of Asian food and excellent service! The food was very good and delicious!Definitely will come back, recommended.
MoreA variety of authentic Asian foods. I particularly liked the Chinese beef noodle. Its delicious. And dont forget the deserts. Those tea flavored tiramisu and cheese cakes are made with home recipes, unique and delightful. Ill definitely come back again.
MoreHomemade tea matcha products coupled with typical Asian food. I love noodles!👌🍜🍜🍜
