Firehouse Subs in Goldsboro

The food was super soggy and way too greasy (which a little grease is to be expected, but not this much). It took well over 15-20 minutes to get the food due to other major issues with other customers. Customer service isn’t that great.

It was just nasty. The lettuce tasted like it had bleach on it. The potatoes soup was like water. First and last time.

One of the best firehouse subs locations i have ever been too. Always quick to get in and get food, clean and friendly staff. I have been coming to this location occasionally for several years now. Keep up the good work

Super nice staff when i went in..but the place was a huge mess. Staff didnt even try cleaning up the lobby.

Ordered from here today, will never do again as my sandwich fn sucked. Got the brisket cheddar but it tasted more like smoked bacon with sauce. Been to their other facilities in other states with no issues, seems i guess fast food sucks in North Carolina,

Staff was ok. Sub... super, super soggy within literally 5 minutes of eating!! 2/10 wont ever try again.

I ordered the New York Steamer and it was a soggy mess! They go way overboard on the condiments. Then I attempted to eat this mess and I couldnt even chew the meat because of the fat in the pastrami and on top of that it was cold. I went to the counter and asked for a knife and fork because the meat was so tuff and they acted like it was nothing unusual?I have eaten at this location before and it was better back then. Maybe they have new employees that dont know how to make a sandwich?

So fresh and tasty...me and my daughter went two days in a row. Friendly staff as well as the atmosphere. Jalen has just the best personality.

They have their good and bad days but ultimately its a good place to eat with kind employees.

Subs were good but cold I was there 3 minutes before my pickup time and subs were waiting they made them too early I would rather have had to wait than get cold subs

Wife wanted a sub with vegis/cheese.......ended up with a soggy mess with NO cheese !!!! Cant find good help nowadays !!!!! We spent $20 bucks on 2 subs....hmmmmmmmm ! Also asked for extra pickles....and got ZERO......how do you screw that up !?!?!?!?!?!?

Not so clean looking people in there....they go to register touching cards cash etc and go right to fixing your food....gloves or not that should not be happening

I love there subs but a few times they gave me a dry steak sub because I said no onions and peppers or mushrooms so they just gave me steak n cheese with I mayo or lettuce

We had a wonderful experience at Firehouse Subs today. We had not been in a very long time due to a bad experience with food and staff. We love their subs so we gave them another chance. New managers and the store looked great and clean. Staff was focused on service and making great subs. So pleased they are back at being great.

I didnt mind standing in line it was when I got my steak and cheese sub it was cold and too oily. Didnt like it at all never going back again

This place always makes a great sandwich and are very gracious to the military members in the community. Recently I was in a rush and dropped my drink on the way out. I felt awful about it and offered to clean it up but they told me not to worry about it at all and gave me an even larger drink for free. Class act

It tastes good but why they always get my order wrong and sometimes missing food item.

I just had a HORRIBLE experience with the cashier at the Firehouse in Goldsboro, NC!! I walked in the chick didnt greet me. I asked her how she was doing. She didnt ask how I was doing. I had to tell her to ask me how I was doing. And even STILL she didnt say may I take you your order. I just turned & left. This is basic customer service.

Went there for the first time today. It wont be my last the meatball sub was super good. Service was great. We cant wait to try other menu items. Thank you. Stay safe

I asked if they could create a vegan /plant based sandwich for me. They came up with a great sandwich. They used wheat bread, sauted mushrooms, peppers, and onions with fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Was wonderful!

Firehouse is really good and affordable. I used to spend so much more money at Panera and not be 100% satisfied with my food. If you are looking for a quick bite and some good flavor Firehouse is a good pick.

We stopped in for a quick lunch. Staff was very friendly. Food was good, the restaurant was clean. Food was great, let had some samples we tried also.

They are decent, but they never put my daughters rice crispy in her bag when I order her kids meal. I always have to go back in and get it.

The italian sub from here is one of the best that ive had in a long time.good food cheap. Has a coke freestyle machine so you can pick what you want to drink.

Food is Always Great! I spoke with the owner in his Greenville store years ago .I encouraged him to open in Goldsboro.He would tell me he was working on it. A few years later he was able to secure this spot.Thank You !Now I dont have to travel 35 plus miles one way for a sub.Since opening this store we havent talked but Wayne Memorial or the Max center would be A Good place for your business.Hotels are coming 🤔.5% or subs for life for the idea....lol. Continue success .I havent seen you and the family since opening.

ALERT: POSSIBLE FOOD POISONINGWe ordered take out from this restaurant on 2/16/19. My friend, who is 6 months pregnant, ate the tuna sandwich. She has been INCREDIBLY sick ever since, and she shows signs of food poisoning. She is making an appointment with her doctor, so hopefully she and the baby are OKAY. I reported the incident to the restaurant manager, and the manager refused to look into it. We submitted an online report to the health department, so hopefully the issue is fully investigated. ... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EATING AT THIS STORE!

I usually try a p lace three times before I decide not to return, but twice was enough here. I ordered the same thing both times, many weeks apart. The subs were not made correctly, a very pitiful amount of meat, no cheese, too expensive for what was served and to top it off when I asked about the sandwich not being made right the person at the counter looked at me and said very rudely "that is exactly what you asked for" as he shoved the box and the bag back at me over the counter. Spent too much money and time to have a sub made wrong but the customer service (or lack there ofis what made me write this place off after two attempts.

My daughter went to pick up our sandwich, call to let them know that the sub i had order was very soggy with oil and vinegar. I also ask him about the chips he said he asked my daughter if she wanted chips she told him he did not.He said his name Cecil and he was the DM there. Very rude will not go back.

I ordered catering of their sandwich platters, along with chips, cookies and drinks. I was very pleased with with the catered package, it was very appealing how they had the food arranged. They even provided a bag of ice, napkins, and condiments. As I was paying.. 2 of their employees helped me carry out my order to my car. Overall service, appearance and fresh food was excellent.

Made a large order with them al.ost 100.00 dollars had it delivered and they forgot one of my subs. Called them back about it and was told that they cant refund me for the sub and they wouldnt bring it to me. Said I would have to come get it or they couldnt help me. Food was good but not good enough for me to not receive what I ordered and paid for.

Firehouse is probably my favorite place to go for a hot sub. always get the smokehouse briscuit. the people that complain about not enough sauce have obviously never looked on the counter at the front where the have loads of sauces you can take to your table

Been to this place 2 or 3 times now and have always enjoyed my meal. I have had the hero and the beef and cheddar. Both were great. Looking forward to trying the rest.

I have never been to a firehouse or have had there food. I have to say that I have always been that person who never finished everything on their plate....AND TODAY I HAVE (twice in a row). The food is so good I dont even care about the service (even though the service was great). So if you think this place is another sub place (which I thoughtyou are sadly mistaken ..

I was greeted by everyone entering the restaurant which was welcoming. I did not appreciate how people who came in after me got their food before me. There were many workers yet I stood there 12 minutes waiting for a damn 2 inch sandwich to be made. I will not be returning here.

Worst place for the money got a grilled chicken salad and there is 7 pieces of chicken less the 1/2 squares. The also got a grilled chicken sub and all the meat falls out because they use cubed chicken on a sub when the pic shows sliced chicken. I wouldnt waste my money here or time. Just go to jersey mikes instead for now on.

A great place to eat, fantastic customer service. Ask for Kristina at the Goldsboro location on Berkley. She will make your day pleasant and enjoyable, Kristina is a dedicated employee and enjoys her job.

Best place to grab a sub around Goldsboro.Me, my wife and my son dined inside and the customer service was fantastic. Both our subs were exactly how we ordered them and timely as well.

For places to grab a tasty sub, this is it. Every sub I ate here was always very warm and fresh tasting. Dont forget to add your favorite hot sauce!

The food is good. We ordered carry out and when we got home the order was incorrect. We called to speak to a manager and were told they would call us back in 10 to 15 minutes. They never called. When we called back again hours later they told us that it was unfortunate that they screwed our order up but if we dont have the sandwich to bring back in, they cant do anything about it. Mind you this was 7 hours later. The issue was that one sandwich wasnt supposed to have mayo on it, and one wasnt supposed to have lettuce on it. The 2 stars it gets is because the food is good, but unfortunately we received 2 sandwiches that we didnt order, and they never wanted to do anything about it.
