Firebrand BBQ in Seward

Fantastic outdoor barbecue! We were lucky and stopped by on the last evening they were open this season. The very best beef ribs and brisket sandwich (two separate disheswe have EVER had, ANYWHERE!If you have the opportunity to stop and try this top-notch barbecue, I highly recommend you do so - you will not be sorry!

Wonderful food. Id come back here just for that. But the cherry on top is the owner. Genuinely nice guy. Theyre only open for a few months of the year so come get your fix! I did all 3 days in seward this year. Glad I did. Ill be back next year!

Great outdoor seating. Portion size was a little small but all-in-all pretty good bbq.

This place was awesome. Probably one of the most unique places we went to In Alaska. The seating was such a cool setup with being outside they had heaters so you didnt get cold. Bbq is a hobby of mine I make my own bbq sauces, and dry rubs and and do all sorts of smoking. This place knows what they are doing and the bbq is great. The owner Chad is a very personable guy and is great to talk to he takes time to talk to his customers. His smokers are well seasoned thats for sure.

Such a cool place. Its self service, quick and friendly - food super good! Rib meat was sliding off the bone.Seating is at picnic tables outdoors, like a wooden patio, but they have heaters, so its nice and warm.

Hands down the best restaurant in Alaska!! Not only was the food AMAZING, but their heated outdoor seating was wonderful!! It was so delightful to enjoy a great meal and the beautiful sights of Alaska, all while staying warm!!

The best pork belly I have ever had. I was on 9 day trip in Alaska with my group. Pork belly tasted like heaven, juicy, crunchy, aromatic, perfectly made. Excellent food for cold and rainy weather. If you want to taste great Alaskan food, you have to go there.

The brisket here was so delicious! The best I have ever had. The men in our party are very big on smoked meat and they were very happy we chose Firebrand for lunch. Service was friendly and fast. Would recommend to anyone in Seward who doesnt eat fish (like me).

Very surprised at finding GOOD Texas bbq so far away from home. The meat was tender, the smoke was just enough and not over whelming and the sauce was more than the ketchup base I was expecting. Very worth the money!!

Such a great place to eat. Open air dining, smokers running right outside. Everything we had off the menu was delicious, and everyone left happy and with full bellies... Although maybe we should have gotten the 4 year old two sandwiches because she was licking her plate clean afterwards! The (person I assume to bethe owner was mulling about making conversation with customers, and he was very polite and friendly. The place was overflowing with customers and it wasnt difficult to see why. I highly recommend eating here.

Best BBQ in town without a doubt. Actually, the best meal I had in town. Owned by a retired firefighter from Amarillo Texas.

Food delicious, especially the brisket. Ribs could have been a little bit more tender and flavored. Would recommend!

A little taste of Texas in Seward. Im from Texas, visiting Alaska with family and we came here because of the Texas flag and even though I was feeling seafood Im glad we did.Great food and atmosphere, country music, iced tea and Dr Pepper. As well as some shiner if you like beer.

We came for Saturday breakfast. We ordered the breakfast burritos. The food came out quickly (almost no waitand hot. One burrito was filling and very good. The tables are outdoors, but they are covered, so you wont get wet if it is raining.

I know, I know. You’re in Alaska, never heard of Alaskan BBQ. But! The owner is from Texas, and they really know what they’re doing. Get yourself a brisket plate (yeah, I know it’s 21 bucks, but do you see any cows growing around you?and a King Street IPA, be generous with the BBQ sauce and you won’t regret it.

omg, The sandwitch 🍔 and warp here are fantastic!Ordered lunch sandwich with pork and pork belly. The pork belly is so so so so juicy. Also ordered a brisket wrap, Super delicious too. Must try !

This is some of the best BBQ we have ever had! The place was lively and executed some of the BEST brisket our group has ever eaten. This is a 10/10 restaurant if you are looking for a place to eat in the Seward area. We cant wait to visit the next time we are in Alaska.

At $21 per plate it was very disappointing. Nothing was bad, but there was nothing that stood out either. Beans tasted straight from a can and the brisket had to be doused in BBQ sauce to have any flavor. Would be worth $8-10 per plate.

We were visiting from Texas and we saw this place and we had to go. We had a quick lunch before we went to exit glacier. Im proud to say they are representing Texas well. The brisket was super tender and moist. The owners were very friendly and hospitable.

This place looks like itd be a good place to eat but unfortunately their smokers were down for a couple of days might be up by June 8th hopefully well come back and give it a shot

Loaded potato with pork belly was amazing. The pork was lightly fried and still juicy. Toppings were great, I, personally, would ask for more jalepenos next time. The owner or chef was genuinely nice too.

I was suspect of Alaskan BBQ and now all I want is Alaskan BBQ. Went here on a whim and came back the next day for more. Great food & service. 100% worth what you pay, affordable.

This was a great break from all the seafood we had throughout the week. He had some proper Texas bbq sauce! Not super thick, not super sweet, a little spice to it… it was perfect. We ordered the pulled pork wrap and it was really awesome. I ordered the plate with pork belly and brisket. I don’t normally like coleslaw but this was on another level. A little peppery and light, I loved it.

Excellent brisket sandwich and potato salad. The sauce was on point as well. Compares with some of the best bbq Ive had in texas.

Neat place! Drove towards the glorious smell. Met the down to earth owner. Ordered the sampler family meal and was amazed how good this bbq smokehouse did it all!

It was amazing to find actual Texas BBQ in Alaska. Chad is amazing and knows how to cook a fat mean bbq sandwich. Sweet tea was the perfect fit as well. Just eat here.

The only true Texas BBQ you will find in Alaska that I know of! Super good food, reasonable prices and youll get your food quickly. get there early since some of the popular meats run out before close. I also highly recommend the brisket breakfast burrito. YUM.

Friendly owners—gave tips about local hikes and even offered to lend us their bear spray. Fun outdoor seating area. Several other restaurants told us it would be an hour wait at 7pm on a weeknight, but Firebrand brought out our ten brisket sandwiches in 15 minutes. Generous amount of meat on each sandwich—delicious! Very reasonably priced, especially compared to other local options. Would go again!

Ive tried my fair share of barbecue from around the country and can say this place is definitely good! Ribs and Brisket are done very well.I would have given them 5 stars but they left out my extra brisket I paid $8 for. Otherwise, great little barbecue joint.

Outdoor seating in a beautiful area. There was a line, but it moved quickly. The food was delicious. I got the pork belly Frito pie. Ive never had pork belly or Frito pie before. I will definitely be having it again. One son got the pork belly sandwich, and he loved it. He said it was "fing amazing" The other got the turkey sandwich, and enjoyed it too. Their sauce is the bomb.

So glad I stopped here for lunch. The food was fantastic and the service was fast. Ordered the fritos with pork and a chicken wrap, and it was finished in minutes.

Great meat and fast service. Nice little outdoor eat8ng area they have going on. Wish we could just buy the meat by the pound or half pound. Baked potato was huge portion. A couple of local beer choices on tap.

I ordered Frito Pie with Brisket and although I started to eat it pretty quickly it was really cold. I took it back for a replacement and they insisted I receive a refund and a fresh order. The replacement was generous and delicious.My friend ordered a BBQ plate with ribs and I wish I would have ordered that too because the ribs were AMAZING. I would definitely eat here again.

The food, brisket and pork belly plate was good and fulfilling. We also ordered their sweet tea and that was also good. We dont come to Seward often, but will definitely stop by for food every time we come. Their food is worth trying if youre hesitant.

A real barbecue place with outside seating and probably the best price on a hearty lunch or dinner in Seward. We had the pork and brisket platters with beans and potato salad. Both delicious. Fast service too.

Excellent BBQ, we ordered the carryout special and it was PLENTY of food for 4 adults. I will most definitely be returning for more next time Im in Seward!
