Fionns Grant Park in Winnipeg

Went to Fionns, Irish themed pub, for supper premovie. Surprisingly? it was “half way to St. Patrick’s Day” and Guinness pints were half price AND free socks!! Score!! Standard selection of draught beer, beer, and drink menu. For non alcohol drinks their is a great drink menu that I’d highly suggest vs the standard pop or coffee. Our table had wings, double fried chicken sandwich, and fish tacos. There is a vegetarian selection. Dog friendly covered patio with heaters. Service was great and got us out the door in an hour for movie time!! Check it out.

My family of 5 went early today. Went around 5, before the main rush cuz we like getting food quicker which means warmer....well.....not this time. Extremely slow today....and the place was dead. 4 of us has fries/waffle fries....all of which was luke warm at best. I had the double stack chicken....again, warmish. Very little sauce so it was tasteless. Combined that with fries......unacceptable. kids had gravy so that heated up their fries. Waitress was apologetic and did ask if we wanted new/more fries but were not that kind of family. Should of never sat on the kitchen warming rack that long if the place was dead.Just if it happens again, well pay for our drinks and leave.

I ordered the Nachos. Not enough cheese & very saucy. The service was great!

Sept 9th Friday. We had a wonderful time with some amazing Bomber & Riders fans who gathered at Fionns. The food was yummy, drinks plentiful & service was quick and friendly. ♥️ From my understanding this will be part of history and more gathering in the future Banjo Bowls here in Winnipeg.This was the first annual Prairie Rivalry Bash. What made this night special not only knowing the people I already knew but meeting other people for the first time. No longer was the person in a small circle on Twitter chatting about football etc, I met them in person!! Friendships made for life. Because I work at all the football games the interaction this evening was special to my heart. ♥️There was a live band, people sang or danced. Prizes through the evening. Many fotos were taken, smiles laughter, here’s to friends and now family. ♥️Thank you Fionns for making our evening special. 🏈

Typical pub fare, good food, cold beer. Although, the service on this particular Saturday was quite slow. 50 mins to receive your order seems a little long

Ordered on Skip. The Yorkies were good. The chicken sandwich was tasty. The wings were a bit dry and skimpy. I have yet to try the cheesecake. I shared my order and only ate half of it, so portion sizes are decent as Im too full for dessert. Its not too bad for Pub food.

Hate to give a negative review but. Ordered take out (one piece fish and chipsthe other evening and specifically asked for mashed potatoes instead of the fries. When I got home I had both fries and mashed potatoes but no coleslaw. Not a deal breaker, will order or come again. But please be more accurate.

They allow dogs on the patio! Great experience!Had the Irish Nachos. Not what I would classify as Irish Nachos but tasty none the less

Great food and service! The patio was very nice and dogs are allowed. They bring they dog a water bowl.

The server was nice and attentive. It definitely has a nice Irish theme to the establishment. The entrée was nicely placed. The salmon plate was delicious and we will definitely go back.

I ordered a two piece fish & chip dinner. I picked it up and paid by debit. Went to my vehicle and looked at my bill. It was $48, obviously too much for one dinner. Went back in and found they had two dinners in the back and charged for both. After much running around manager came and told me that they couldn’t refund my money if paid by debit or credit!!! I couldn’t believe it. Says they are tied into something inToronto. He said he could give me a gift card and next time I was in there would be enough for a free meal and maybe a drink. He gave me the gift card in an envelope. When I got home I looked at it and it was a gift card for $25!! I paid $48.16 for two dinners so I only owed $24.08. The amount he owed me was $24.08 and he’s giving me $ 25 for inconvenience!! How ridiculous. I called him and questioned it and after a long annoying conversation he said he would bring another $20 card to my residence in 20 minutes. This was 2 days ago. Still no card. If they truly can’t refund card transactions they better find another way. I have given speeches on customer service in the restaurant industry and I can use this as the absolute worst way to handle it. Never want to go back there again but I can give the gift cards to someone in need.

Wow , what a fantastic pub. The service was fast and friendly. Dog friendly patio, even had two sections so my dog could sit in a quiet corner away from the other dogs. The food selection was great , a full five veggie options which is amazing. I had the fish tacos, and spinach and artichoke dip, my husband had the onion soup and yorkshires. Everything was delicious. I will have to stop by whenever I am back in Winnipeg.

It pleasant. Sat on the deck. Pet friendly and welcoming. Live music inside. Friendly customer service. Reasonable wait time. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Will return.

Took my family to Fionns Grant Park yesterday and it was pretty good. All the sandwiches and pasta we had were very tasty and fresh the only thing I was a little upset with was cold waffle fries. Service was super. Prices are reasonable. I do want to give a BIG shout out to them for having an amazing VEGAN menu. I’m feeling FIonns GP is mainly a bar but you have to try the food!2nd VisitNot impressed this time, had the fish & chips - cold fries and burnt fish! Waited too long so sent back and ordered an appetizer. For $22 The cook himself should’ve known not to serve it. The server was accommodating and sorry and all that offered a free dessert but I was a little annoyed with this server to begin with because the first words after hi my name is Josh I’ll be your server tonight he says if I could ask you guys not to move once the orders are in so that I don’t get confused with who’s got what meal. Who says that? I did give him a good tip because there was six of us but shouldn’t of.I think I’m done with Fionns Grant Park!

Tried the Taco Week entry this week. Was fantastic. Crunchy shell that totally supported the mix of great ingredients. The slaw was yummy. Pineapple and pickled onions were great addons. The meat was cooked and shredded perfectly. The spice flavour was cooked into the shell. Would totally order this again and I hope they add this to their menu after Taco Week is over.

Fionns Grant Park is a fantastic place to go to have a pint and some quality pub fare! Great service and friendly management!I highly recommend the French Onion Soup and Fish and Chips. Both are the best I’ve found in the city!

Always hearing people raving about this place and actually had a good experience when I took my friend here in the fall so figured I would give this place another go so I booked a table on OpenTable for 2 and requested that we sit at high table. I arrive there and the host takes us to a booth at the very back which my date and I noticed but we both brushed it off as we were both hungry. We both decide that to order beers and when we both put them the server later comes back to tell us that one of the beers they have on tap is out, which we thought was very odd for a 6 pm on a Friday but regardless my colleague is able to order an alternative. Later on we decide to order the artichoke dip and while the app itself was actually very good, not once did they bring us plates and even checked on us twice and never said a thing! Not only that but the appetizer plate was still at our table even well past when our mains made it to our and I even had to point it out to one of the servers who came to check in on us. In conclusion food was actually pretty decent but service was quite lackluster and disorganized and I hope that these concerns will be addressed.

Our server was very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was very good ,hot and fresh from the oven. Will definitely enjoy eating there again.

The atmosphere at Fionns Grant Park is wonderful. Our server was friendly and willing to spend a few minutes chatting with us.My meal was delicious and came quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a casual and welcoming place to have a meal!

I love Fionns ever time Im there. The food always tastes amazing and I love that they have so many vegetarian and vegan options (the Phish and chips is my favourite). Service has always been prompt and friendly. Live music nights are especially fun, really glad those are back again.

Absolutely fantastic! Ive been here twice now and both times have had the fish and chips which has been so good so good! Weve gone to the other location and it just wasnt very good and super greasy. Im glad we found this one this is going to be our go-to forever keep up the great work you guys you definitely know what youre doing in that kitchen! I will continue to recommend and bring my friends because I tell them all about the fish and chips Im kind of obsessed with them LOL

Had the classic Moscow mule. Exceptionally good! The food was good too.Would have preferred if there were a few more gluten free options to choose from.

Great selection of local draft beers. We tried blarney chips and deep fried cauliflower bites. They were amazing!!Also they have the special crispy chicken burger which was good too.This was our first visit. Would definately be coming back.

Great service with a nice selection of local draft beers. We ordered nachos and what a suprise it was getting a tray stacked with nachos with nice layers of cheese and toppings. Nachos were delicious but not enough salsa portions provided with the orginal meal.

Placed a take out order and it was ready the second I walked in. Super fast and friendly service. They also handle gluten free meals for celiac really well. Definitely going back!

I went into Fionns for a rainy day French onion soup, and got to sit and read my book and I had a really great time doing just that. The service was friendly, and respectful and attentive without being overbearing.The soup surpassed my expectations! A really good bowl of French Onion Soup can be hard to find, and really disappointing if not done right. Everything on the menu looked good, and I will back again for sure.Thanks for the pleasant Sunday afternoon

Visited with my partner for a Sunday lunch at the patio. We were pleased with a wide selection of cocktails and the food was also great. The reuben is a must-try with the sweet potato fries, same with their chicken finger meals (in the image with the fried chicken burger). Our server was occupied with multiple tables in our area but she made sure to check in with us throughout our visit and we had what we needed at all times. Staff sanitize tables in between customers and are quick to acknowledge you at the door. Great experience every time Ive come to visit. Definitely wont be my last!

Went for lunch to dine inside. If we brought our dog we would have sat on the dog friendly patio, but opted to stay out of the heat today. The service was fantastic and it’s nice to see they are following guidelines to keep staff and patrons safe. They are doing it right. We had the double stacked fried chicken burger and a Reuben with a side of honey dill to dip at the servers recommendation…. Wow it was good. Massive Long Island iced teas were a refreshing addition to the great meal. We had to take half of our meals home. Huge portions. Will be going back again!

Great experience! Food was excellent and the staff was super friendly. I felt very safe being in a restaurant I knew was following the health orders. Would recommend to anyone.

I have yet to dine-in at Fionns but usually order online and their food is amazing everytime. Jay (and his teamhave put a wonderful separate vegan menu together and I highly recommend the Vegan Phish & Chips! One of these days when I do dine-in, I look forward to the dog-friendly patio!

Having lunch with a friend for the first time in a year. Patio was great. Food was fantastic. I recommend having the Reuben with honey dill on the side. We both felt safe knowing the staff and ownership took public health orders seriously. Don’t believe the 1 star reviews. This place cares about the community they serve.

Had a great time grabbing supper here before seeing a movie at Grant Park. Extended patio. Nice pub environment inside. Good food and local beers on tap.

Just had a delicious lunch at Fionn’s. I was really pleased with the protocols on entering, making sure we were safe and collecting info for contact tracing. Had an absolutely delicious Reuben sandwich and a blackberry mint lemonade!

Even though this was a couple of years back, I have seen nothing but hard work and dedication, especially during this last year and a half with all the rules and regulations around the pandemic. Food has always been great and hoping to get to one of your locations to eat and hang out soon. Ive taken advantage of the take out at the Regent location and even though I waited a couple minutes longer (lunch rush, so of course its going to be busy!for my work groups order, food was worth the wait and the servers/hosts were doing their best to get pickup orders and delivery orders out as fast as they could. Keep up the great work!

This is my first review....Worst Sheppards pie ever! For $17, what I expected vs what I received was night and day. It was a soupy sloppy mess. Take it off your menu as whomever is making this doesnt know what theyre doing. I am not even sure if the meat (what little there waswas even cooked thoroughly. Will not be ordering again from this place. Didnt even bother finishing it was that bad.

Great drinks and appetizers on the patio! Service was great and the atmosphere was fun. All the food was perfect and I’ll be back to try a few more items. Great spot!

Fionns was pretty decent, the food was good and the service was okay. The chips werent all that, although I dont tend to expect much from them anyway. The juice I got did come in a pint glass but that notwithstanding, it was fairly expensive with no refills. Something to keep in mind. I had wings and chicken and chips, and they were good, the only oddity was the apple slices on the chicken which I didnt really understand, but I just ignored them. Its a good place for food if youre in the area.

Went today for lunch. It wasnt very busy, we were promptly seated. The menu didnt really excite us, but it was all day happy hour, which was nice. We tried some of those happy hour specials - cheddies and mini yorkies, along with salt and pepper chicken wings. Everything was okay, average. Also got chicken fingers and fries. I was happy they had honey dill sauce. Ive never had seasoned chicken fingers before, but they were pretty good and were served (temperature)hot. The fries were tasty and crispy. Our non alcoholic drinks came to $3.49 each, which I think is pretty steep, especially since we were not offered refills. Overall, Id go back and try different things. Maybe this place will grow on me. Maybe.

Amazing place and management. Actively seek feedback from patrons. Their Monday cauliflower bites promotion from which funds are donated to a local farm sanctuary shows their investment in our community. The food never disappoints!

Edit - November 7th 2019 : I returned here about two weeks ago with a small group and found that their menu now has sooooo many options for me as a Gluten-free vegetarian! I had the vegan burger with GF bun and cheese! I’d give the burger itself a 4/5 but the sides, beverages, service and atmosphere bump my overall rating from a 4⭐️ to a 5⭐️!Thanks Fiona!!—————————————————————Anyone I go here with loves the food; but as a gluten-free vegetarian (doctors ordersI struggle to find anything filling. My most recent visit I ordered the ‘guten-free’ version of the warm spinach and artichoke dip; it was hot dip served with carrots and celery. Not at all what I expected when the menu said there was a gf version as the menu says tortilla chips. *why not substitute for gf chips*? I’d strongly suggest using the locally made ‘La Cocina tortilla chips’. The dip was amazing. 🙌🏽

Pretty quiet for an afternoon lunch, which was nice. Very friendly service. Very speedy too. I try not to consume alot of salt, I found their food to be on the salty side for my liking. Mom had to send her fries back to get unsalted ones.I had the Guinness mushroom steak bowl. It comes with salad too. So filling and so tasty!Its like a steak Sheppards pie. Almost too much for lunch, but they dont have a lunch menu. Just daily specials.

This is the third or fourth time Ive eaten there, always a good meal. The menu has changed since the last time, a bit reduced, but still lots of good stuff, including the shepherds pie.Cheerfully eat there again

My experiences at Fionn’s have been just ok. I’ve usually paired eating here with a movie night at Grant Park’s Landmark Theatres. The place has a sports pub vibe so if that appeals to you this place might be your thing. I’ve ordered their burgers and meat pies and they have been alright, but not amazing. You can definitely get better food at places like The Grove Pub, but I guess for the Grant Park mall area, this is one of the better places to eat.

Good place for pub grub. My wife and I had their veggie burger which is made of chick peas. It was good. Onion rings on top were a nice touch. Good selection of beer on tap and a fun atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly and there were lots of options on the menu.

Food was really good and our server was friendly. The food and drinks came really quick on a Tuesday evening. The fish and chips were very crispy and the tartar that comes with it had great dill flavour. I could have lived without the paper on my plate however. The coleslaw that it comes with makes the paper really soggy and I had to remove it so I wasnt eating paper. Otherwise a great experience.

After 3 Friday visits. Solid pub fare. Its a franchise not a local. 26 beers on tap with a number of local craft beers. $6.50 drafts on Fridays are a plus.Menu. Burgers are pedestrian but they do fries very well. Pies are just average but the fish & chips (codare a good choice.A bit noisy with the crowd and the outdoor patio is a fine place in season. Value: they dont abuse your wallet but its easy to let your tab mount up.Will be back.
