Recreational center featuring a water park with slides & a pool, plus bowling, trampolines & tennis.
Finns Recreation Club in Canggu
Description
Privilege
Not really special anymore when you go there often. The quality of food not the best for the prices . And they charging minimum spend for what when you pay entry anyway. The membership is to expensive what they offer. Always something under construction. Like the gym right now for a whole month. So the gym is outdoor.
MoreMy kids love Bounce and Splash and I enjoy the gym classes and tennis. Coaches are great.
MoreGood places for recreation and for exercise as well. 👍👍👍
Its a nice big pool and slide area, 2 pools actually, and a kids play pool. Decent gym too. Im a VIP member, I go for the gym mostly, and can also get into the Beach Club a km away, with the same card. If you live here its a decent place to hang out, make friends, eat, work, have a drink. For members theirs a seperate work area and you can even get a business address as VIP member. A lot of people work in the large outdoor restaurant cafe area. Currently gym is downstairs at the basketball court.
MorePretty good place, just any food or drinks are a little more on the expensive side, but they have billiards, bowling and a tennis court and a reasonable price. Went last night and had a blast
MoreThey often have events on weekends. Music is way too loud that it is deafening. It can even be heard all the way in Bumbak, Umalas area! SO loud that every word can be heard. Please be mindful of your surroundings and be respectful of the local area.
MoreI regret becoming a member. I do not recommend it.
The service provided to members is terrible. I bought a VIP card but feel like the complete opposite. The staff is not helpful at all, on the contrary, they complicate everything, apply ridiculous rules when they feel like it, and never provide any solutions. Often not an enjoyable experience.
MoreA total scam with membership prices and upgrades charging exorbitant re-activation fees if you have frozen or not used, downgraded the amount of cards for few weeks, months or even years. Cause sometimes simply life happens right ? Family settings change, business models change, have to be home for a few years, pandemics etc. just to name a few legit reason to downgrade a membership. And downgrading from 12 to 6 is still a good amount of membership fees to pay. Pretty sure we are not one of the worst members to have. While already being a member for 8 yrs. From our original contract we have 12 cards. And Finns (canggu club when we signed up for a 10 yr contractoffered free downgrades and upgrades whenever you needed up till 2020, even under Finns Club. In the end upgrades to more cards is extra income for them, right ? And downgrades a good customer service and keep memberships going. Whats more important for a business then collecting membership fees.A policy they changed during covid after they have been postponing their service till November 2020.After we downgraded and left with a surprise of exorbitant reactivation fees of 1000s of dollars with the news they changed their terms and conditions.Think they wanted to collect of Covid. So much for moral and loyalty rewards for staying a member during covid while they locked and postponed services themselves. So now if you freeze or downgrade temporary an x amount of cards for whatever reason, you need to pay a re-activation fee PLUS the months you did not pay those cards if you want them back. We downgraded from 12 to 6 and want our 12 cards back... cost 12Jt / 700 usd per card for reactivation (to click a button), plus the months of membership retro-active. So 2 years of covid membership fees had to be paid, while not being able to use them.Cards we always had for 8 years.. always paid our fees with 12 cards. They changed the policy in 2020 November in their terms and conditions, after we downgraded with in mind we could upgrade again like we have been doing for 8 years. And now while discussing how misleading and cheeky this is they just refer to terms and conditions, which also newly added, that they can change terms and conditions any time.So they expected us to pay 51.600 jt / 3800 USD for re-activating, 6 membership cards plus retroactive membership fees, cards we always had for 8 years only not during covid.Even during covid we paid 6 cards.Who comes up with this stuff. There is no customer service snd they only refer to their adjusted Finns T&Cs, that they changed.Being a member isnt enough apparently.Loyalty doesnt mean anything here.We didnt upgrade in the end so no one won, cause we wont pay for this kind of practices neither support this kind of businesses. We all lost and in particular Finns as their reputation is catching up, looking at their 1star ratings.Short term gains over long-term vision can be seen back in the average maintained of showers, sauna, gym equipement and service.Believe the 1 star reviews.
MoreOne of the worst places to be a member of with their ever changing terms and conditions however they see fit. Even that part is written in the terms and conditions that they can change it whenever they want. We seriously doubt they have a legal person advising these T&Cs.It is literally made not to service you, throwing around ridiculous reactivations fees after offer the option to freeze the membership cards if you temporary do not need them. The moment when you want to use them again you need to pay all the months you have not been around. And it is not that you can claim those months again. What is the purpose of freezing if you need to pay them anyway later ? No one could answer me that question. It is misleading better to quit the membership as it is cheaper. It is also cheaper to become member somewhere else. And if the gym would be state of the art set up then they might have gotten away with it. The cocky regulations and restrictions don`t even nearly match their offer.Do not get into the option when they offer to freeze the membership cards if you are away for a few months or a year. As they will charge you for time you were away the moment you want to activate your membership again plus a activation fee. You would think a RE-activation fee is covering for being absent, but no.. they want it all.The same works if you go from 2 to 4 cards and back till 2 for a few years and then want again 4 cards. The 2 were on freeze and have to be paid 2 years retroactively! plus activation fee. They didn`t tell us that 2 years ago cause at that time it was not the rule yet, but in between it changed and now it is. Yah, they forgot we paid a entry membership fee according the terms and conditions of the time this was still a free option. It was part why we signed up in the first place and we paid good money to become a member. This has vanished as they now claim they can change this any time they want.I just wonder what the sign up fee is for then if they can change anything any time. It is a contract with what you offer at the moment of signing up.We just came back from 2 years of covid and this is what we faced.Considering I received a email from them with pointing out exactly what I just wrote I can only assume many other have the same issue.Maybe they should re-consider if they really think they are on the right track here. There are so many options how to solve this way more customer friendly, if you want to avoid people upgrading and downgrading all the time. You can set limitations in terms of durations in it. 2 upgrades/downgrade per year for ex.I feel they just blind for the extra cash it could bring if it was not that ridiculously high. Then to think of that upgrading to more cards brings in extra money, especially if you already paid for the activation fee for those cards. It is just extra membership fees every month. a change for them to collect extra fees again.Pretty sure not many will pay those re-activation fees and 1 or 2 years membership fees retro-actively. There are too many nice and good gyms now a days out there, so why would you.It is only that we were already member since 2014 otherwise we would already left years ago as it has not been upgraded ever.So now it is no re-activation fee - no retroactive membership fees and no extra incoming monthly fees.LOL, genius, pure genius...
MoreGreat facilities but upon questioning for JSA the staff give conflicting information. Its Luke they have no idea whats going on at reception. Not their fault, maybe they are just not informed. But who do we go to for relevant information if they do not know themselves? Staff training is important for each teams schedule.
MoreCool spot. We did the large cabana with min spend 2mil. Watch out for the “missing towels” at the end of the day, you get stung 100k per missing towel. The waitress will give you story about “give me cash and hotel name and if/when she finds the towels, she will drop the cash back to the hotel”. I’m sure throughout the day these towels miraculously get lifted. I’m certain she will find the towels and bring our hard earned cash back ;Creative way to hustle a few dollars.
MoreWorse gym ever!!! Really small, old, poor equipment. Dirty toilets…the pictures on the social media are totally SCAM! I payed for day pass and no classes, no water they asked me a 100k for looker deposit (in what sense?). Terrible…AVOID AVOID!
MoreTempat yg luar biasa , and i love the atmosfer around there with great staff too . The best Bazaar at finns
Moregreat club, has everything you need. membership is expensive though. the bistro is pricey good to hang out for coffee but better food options nearby. have movie nights every thursday
MoreThis club tries to be premium but it’s really not with one of the highest membership fees in Canggu. Terrible customer service! We wanted to get a day pass for the gym for 300.000 RP (20€which is quite expensive. I agreed because I heard there is a Sauna. I asked the guy at the reception if I can use the sauna and if I will get a towel for it. He said yes.We considered to sign up for 6 months for the gym and coworking (it’s 200€ per monthbefore but thanks god that we decided to try it out first. We pay the gym and go down to the lockers to ask for the keys and towels. They refuse to give us a big towel for the sauna even so they have a huge shelve of towels behind them and are super rude to us shouting something in Indonesian saying that it’s not included in the day pass. We explain kindly that the receptionist told us that it’s included but they refuse and are very unwelcoming. We felt very badly treated.First time I experience such a ride behaviour in Indonesia, especially that we are paying guests. We were shocked and turned around and asked for our money back and left as fast as we could. Also they search bags at the entrance and there is a guy with a huge gun. For us it felt very over the top and we would find it annoying if we come every day that they want to search your bags every day. Before, we had breakfast in their restaurant. They couldn’t prepare the bowl without banana because it was already pre made. It was ok. Then I ordered a Toast and they bring me the wrong one with meet. I had to wait 30 minutes for getting my right order. I didn’t even complain then. But with this rude behaviour of the guy with the towels it was too much. Also, the gym seems very small and with not many good machines. I recommend you to find another gym.To the management I recommend urgently to train their staff better and to train them being customer friendly and welcoming and try to find solutions for their customers rather than being rude. Because I don’t believe a business can be sustainable with such a bad customer service.
MoreWe got the daily pass. Gym is old for the standard they try to portray but ok for a one off session.25m outdoor pool with blocks is good and the slides are a lot of fun.If you go for a day and dont have a reusable water bottle just ask for glasses of water at the bistro, order a couple before you go to the splash park as they wont serve you there.
MoreI think its a good place for tourist. Quite pricey tho...
Nice place to spend your day.Expensive but worth it
Great Food and Wine festival. The music was great and the atmosphere was super nice. So many families and super kid friendly. Music was good, danced all night!
MoreThis place is just far too restrictive and really doesn’t offer any value. We were considering an annual membership but after reading all the negative reviews, and speaking with some of the staff, we have definitely changed our mind. They won’t even allow us to bring a piece of fruit or a granola bar to have after our workout. Yes we know you have a restaurant, but its nothing special, and sometimes a guy just needs a granola bar.
MoreI wouldn’t recommend coming here. The kids had fun but I slipped and hurt my back on the tiles at the main pool (a ridiculous design flaw). After purchasing the “super fun pass” for each of my family (for which the kids under three are supposed to be free - and there is a 100,000IDR voucher for the spa), I then had to pay for my two year old to access the kids club; and was told that the bodytemple spa voucher can’t be used. I hate arguing with staff, but I felt scammed and when I raised my complaints they did nothing to fix the problem.
MoreI spent over a month as a member but won’t renew my subscription. It is priced at the same level as top comparable clubs in London but fails to deliver to the standard. Class time table is basic, you need to pay additionally for all the good ones (boxing, tennis etcand there are zero kids classes included (all extras and very expensive even by European standards)Facilities are comparable to a mid tier establishment, gym, changing rooms in need of an upgrade.Cherry on the cake is customer service. After attending a class my gym wear got permanently damaged by some paint marks that were on a mat. 3 weeks later and the management still has not finalised if and how they will remedy, after having begrudgingly asked for repeated proofs and explanations which I duly provided. Wait for this.. all this aggravation for a 40£ pair of gym shorts, .. so much for the luxury establishment 🤣
MoreGreat venue. Fully equipped lifestyle venue with gym, sports field, bounce trampoline, 10 pin bowling and a fun water theme park!Great day out with the family
MoreToo many people. I need quiet and no peoples with tattoos. Send them back!
Only one gym I know which has stairs machine…And handsome visitors 😂
Nice placed and comfort.
Good family outing with young children and adults alike. Many water fall attractions. Enough lifeguards to ensure safety. Orders for food and drinks are attended to swiftly. Courteous and friendly staff.
MoreNice family place. All the bells and whistles of a good water park. Plenty of help. Very professional. Go...
MoreGreat place to spend an afternoon with kids at the water park. A bit pricey but worth it.
MoreFun place. Been awhile since I discontinued my membership several years ago...
We had booked a massage for me and my boyfriend today at 12. But when we arrived we are met with suspicion. The security is pointing to a sign showing where their customers can and cannot have tattoo. Where it says they will deny people with face tattoos. I do in fact have two face tattoos: an olive branch and a heart. They start discussing for about five minutes and had to call around while we stand outside. I was so uncomfortable by the discussing and looks up and down my body that I asked my bf to leave. I have a bachelors degree working full time in a kindergarten in Norway. The only nice thing in this short experience was the guy helping us cross the trafficked road.
MoreI went here today with my 2 boys aged 7 and 4. We paid approx $200AUD on entry, food and a football. It was quite fun but when we went to leave, I asked reception if they could book a taxi for me. They told me I have to walk up to the main road to hail one. I am a single mum with 2 young boys walking quite a distance in the hot lunchtime sun to wait for a taxi on the main road. We had to pay a “special” rate because we were desperate and there were no other options. I don’t understand why they couldn’t organise a taxi for us but it really soured the day and experience for us. Waterbom was better value with better customer service.
MoreNo queues when we went, Saturday 9 July. The deal with the day bed is good as you can order refreshments to the value and pay for any extras when you leave. The downside is you cant bring anything in, including water. Slides good fun if a little tired looking.
MoreNatural grass. Flat surface 9/10. Full size soccer field. Will be back.Water theme park suitable for kids till early teens (13-14 yr old).As of June 2022, Overall place is well maintain, neat n tidy.Staffs are helpful.Could end up costly.
MoreDodgy website, showed an error after multiple attempted payment. Tried alternative via PayPal but then found three payments taken. PayPal worked out $50 more for same product/booking. Requested cancellation of booking 2 and 3 which were errors. Yet Finns wanted to keep the higher payment via PayPal which I would not have made if it wasnt for their website error. Customer support not overly helpful and very slow to respond. Very disappointing and unprofessional.
MoreMember Service is poor. People are nice but the system not friendly at all.The pool is great.
More2 adults, 3 kids - from arrival this visit had all the wrong vibe with the concierge and entry staff.Over $250Aud to go in it was very expensive but upon entry there were attempts to overcharge and double charge us.Slides were average, often getting stuck half way down, the larger slide with mats was the only ok one. Food was average, day beds were overrated. Lots of hidden hazards and sharp head bump risks for smaller kids so beware.Don’t recommend overall.
MoreAmazing place in the center of Canggu.I like here:1. Water park2. Boiling3. Kids club4. Good food5. Movie every Thursday6. Sport classes7. Sauna
MoreHey, ill start this review by saying i enjoy my time at Finns. The facility are good and complete enough for you to work, eat, gym, swim, and many more. The reason why i gave one star review:- Their reception name Ayu is one of the most unprofessional staff i have ever encounter. She treat us (localdifferently with foreigners. Same situation, different approach. You cant just say one thing to us but absolutely do the opposite way to others in front of us.- Their unclear regulations about what we can and what we cant bring to the area. Say one day i bring a bread to Finns and they didnt allow us to bring it inside but then i see someone eat a bread absolutely from outside. They never stated or hang clearly all of this things that they say as their regulations.Good facilities with bad service means nothing.Cheers.
Morejoin Boxing class tuesday, Friday, saturday 8:30 am
For such a well renowned business, I thought the service would have been better. I have been here 4 times as I live close by and 3 times my order has been forgotten or messed up. Gym & co working are alright but the service is not good enough. Given the options close by, thought it would have been fantastic service, definitely not the case.
MoreGreat facilities and gym. Alongside membership options, Day Passes are available for IDR 300k which include use of facilities apart from the Pool plus one class. The Sauna and Ice Bath were fantastic. The only downside was that youre only given one small towel to use for ALL of the facilities (gym, shower, sauna etc.), which was awful - 4 stars due to this and the way it was handled. Also the gate closes at 3pm which is super inconvenient as you essentially become locked out and then have to make your way all the way around via a much longer route or climb a gate/fence. No warning of this from any staff or clear instructions on best route to assist.
MoreOne of the worst gyms in Bali because of its condition and customer service. Everything is old and smelly — lockers, showers, etc. The sauna is not actually a real sauna, it’s just a warm cabin for 2 ppl with cracks in doors and walls. The ice bath is generally a mockery in comparison with other more modern and equipped clubs in Bali. I remember Finns Recreation since it was the famous Canggu club but over the years it has aged a lot and needs serious renovation. The new management does nothing about it and does not improve the situation, while the membership prices are among the highest on the Island. The only swimming pool is still good.
MoreAll was fine .... just doesnt like when the scurity need take my kids left lunch box after school out.
MoreFinns recreation club is a recreation place on tegal gundul village on badung city. Finns reacreation is a same management with finns beach club. On the FRC have water splash park, main pool, gym, bistro bar, sport bar, multifunction field ( for basket, hangar/pienching, net ball, and some time using for a muaythai competition place.), soccer field (for geco, rugby, soccer, and some times using for any event placeand have a spa from here. If you want you can following some class from here. And over on here have a bussiness room. This room for VIP members from finns. And on other side finns have a tennis field, bounce (trompolinfor adult and kids, cubby house for keeping your kids, and sport shop for tennis, soccer, and some times you can finded here selling a bikecycels. And than on the second floor you can find a bowling place, bowling bar, mother hucker for axe trowing and have any knife can you use for trowing and lasrt have billyard table. Last, On the second floor you can looking your kids playing from bounce place..
MoreFinns is good at what they do but their bottle rules are crazy. Not allowed to bring an empty plastic bottle- no, you have to buy a bottle and bring it. Sorry but ridiculous rule. I don’t want to buy another bottle if I already have a collection of empty ones I want to reuse. Their rule is wasteful.
MoreNo shade on football pitch gor audience on afternoon match, but they have light for the evening. Nice and expensive place but the pitch quite good.
MoreIf you truly care about Bali, its people and its tourist sector you would spend your money elsewhere. Very disappointing how they treat both their staff and their customers all to keep up with their "image." Its a fake lifestyle, filled with inauthenticity. Some many other options, I strongly suggest you look around. You will surely thank me.
MoreNice place, but very expensive
