Informal American eatery & bar featuring a Cessna 150 on the rooftop & a seasonal patio.
The Bloody Mary was amazing!! Nachos is a definite MUST. And the star of the meal was the French onion soup. I have NEVER tasted anything better!!
The food quality at this restaurant has changed and not for the better.. The Perch & baked potato were very poor. Could not eat. Clam Chowder was somewhat good but not hot. Final Approach used be a place we always enjoyed. Not any more.
Great food and wait staff. The decor has a nice semi dark, calming ambience
Great local spot! We’ve been several times & always a delight with delicious food.
Service is excellent. Went for fish fry! Excellent. I have the baked fish comes with rice pilaf and vegetable. Vegetables are cooked perfectly! Appetizers are great!do you like Haystack onions? fantastic! My guilty pleasure 😀
Ive been there multiple visits. Always great food. The last visit was for the AYCE ribs. The prime rib is good Dont get me wrong. I will be going back for the ribs...
Had a prime rib craving. Service was great. Lots of space for parties. Food came quickly was happy for that. No problem. Got home it was awesum. Lots of fat the flavor was great. Steak sauce was a little bland nothing sum salt and pepper wouldnt fix. Bring your friends to see the plane on the roof and the giant steer out back. 1st time here. Score out of 10 being great I have the Final Approach 8. Come and be seen. Enjoy.
My family had a great meal here. Coming back from Great America. Fantastic waitress! She’s brand new! Best service we’ve had in 2 years. Our food was delicious. We loved the chill atmosphere. Great for a family. She even suggested we try the chicken gumbo soup. Bought 2 quarts and had it for dinner tonight. Definitely going back!
Friendly over phone. Order was completed on time. Took it home, and it was very tasty.
Very good drive thru fish fry on Fridays. Seasoned Breaded cod only available in drive thru. Inside they serve beer battered.
Food was really good and affordable. Our waitress was very nice, as was the majority of the staff. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is it took a long time for our food to come out. I want to say it was nearly an hour. We loved our cocktails and the live entertainment they had.
Came here ONE TIME before. Ordered 2 Palomas (not on the menuDoug asked what it was and how its made. We told him he did it. Lots of bartenders will do that. Came back almost a month later. Not only did he recognize us but he took our table and remembered how we wanted it. We were the youngest couple/people in the place and he remembered. Great place. Tip Doug very well please, hes great!
Great place and convenient to Mitchell Field. Our server was delightful! Food was wonderful!
The food was great and the staff were phenomenal! Nice place to grab food before heading to the airport!
Was there on a Saturday for a meeting. Had a black and blue burger that had blue cheese crumbles on it. Very good burger. Fries were good as well but should have had the side salad.
Went for a fish fry. Best fish fry Ive had in a long time!! Have eaten there before and the food was always good. No doubt will return for another meal.
We always stop in when traveling through Milwaukee and meet up with a friend. It never fails the food was fabulous as always...service sucked a bit on this visit though.
We always come back when we are in town. Prime Rib is outstanding and the broiled Walleye done to perfection. My wife always has their famous Bloody Mary. The Manhattans the evening of 7/30 weregreat!! Brought a guest back the evening of7/31 and they were terrible.. one was even carbonated and the other seemed to have been made with dry vermouth … both were sent back and had to settle for a beer. It should be a crime to make a bad Manhattan in Wisconsin.
Fast, and kind service! Fair pricing! Nice ambiance especially if you like classic rock, and theres an airplane on top😎✌
This place had gone WAY down hill. Leaking air duct in my booth ,warm beer, slow wait staff it subpar food. I dont know hat happened but I wont be funding out if it gets better. Im out.
We stopped in today to try their fish fry, and although service was fast and friendly, our orders were incorrect. When we called to inform them of the error, the person who answered the phone stated they were the manager. After explaining to the manager that they had given us the wrong fish, rather than offer to correct our orders, she instead tried to convince us the orders were correct, insisting it was how they prepare and cook their fish that makes them appear different... Even after providing her with additional details, making it clear that they had in fact given us the wrong fish, she just continued to insist our orders were correct.Nothing like losing time and money in trying to support a local business, and not get what you paid for. Then to top it off, the business was given an opportunity to correct the order and they didnt. Instead, they denied the error, resulting in our losing additional time and having to spend more money on a replacement meal elsewhere.Disappointing experience to say the least!
One of the best fish fries in town, with the absolute best coleslaw in town. The steak sandwich is also something pretty special.
Food was dinner style. Food was good and they had a few vegetarian options. We went on Sunday and they had a bloody mary special.
Omg best potato pancakes ever. Their beer battered cod is amazing. Highly recommend their fish fry.
Actually very good. Great quick friendly service and good ample menu.Excellent location right next to airport to catch a bite pre flight.Easy parking and clean place overall.
We flew into Milwaukee last September and were looking for a place to have dinner. We were about to eat at a Dennys when I looked up and saw an airplane on top of a building up the street. We decided to eat there since it was a local place and thank goodness--it saved us from a dinner at Dennys. Great food and service. Even we went in at closing time, they welcomed and served us good food.
I was there on a Monday got a salmon dish that was juicy and flavorful, as as well as someone else I was dining with getting the all you can eat ribs. And not just the food was good, our service from Skyler was excellent. Attentive and personable to all of her guests. They seem to be suffering from a short staff like so many places with just makes having a server whos able to handle it even that much more welcome. Will be going back
I was responsible for organizing a small informal banquet/party for 15 people. I talked to Buddy, the man who takes care of seating and makes sure things are going smoothly. He had tables set up in the atrium so we had some privacy and then had two super waitresses, Bonnie and Skylar, handle our food requests. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the service was perfect. Bonnie and Skylar always seemed to be right there when they were needed. If youre going out to eat or having a party, look no further than Final Approach!
The gentleman behind the bar was super helpful and very kind! Very nice to talk to! Our food came out good and hot!
It was probably the best Chef Salad I have ever had! The food was really good and our server was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.
This was by far the worst experience I have had in years at any restaurant.Don’t drink your beverages too quickly. Every person at our table had empty water and sodas. We received our appetizers in about 20 minutes. Our drinks were empty, and we asked for refills. She said she would get refills in just a minute. She didn’t bring the refills. We finished our appetizers, still no drink refills. We also still were not asked what we wanted for our meal. She gathered our plates from our appetizer dishes and she said she would be back in a minute for our orders. We waited 10 minutes. Still no drinks. The waitress walked past us so many times. Finally she noticed we needed refills when she came for our orders. Said she would be back I. A minute with our refills. 12 minutes later, we got our sodas. No water. She said she would be back with water right away. She stopped at the bar to Have a shot, then came back to the table 10 minutes later we got water. Meals done. Meals were subpar.I will never come here again. Ever. $75 wasted. And 1 hour and 45 minutes of being thirsty most of the time. So angry right now.Oh. And important fact- there was only 3 tables
Sort of old school family style restaurant with great food selections, low prices and great service. They had a special on martinis for $6, so I expected a very small glass. Not So! Had two and done! Highly recommend.
The fish fry is delicious, and priced perfectly for the size of fish you get. I highly recommend coming in earlier to avoid the wait during the dinner rush. The place gets busy real quick. If you are pressed for time you can utilize the drive through.
Mom and I celebrated St.Patricks day. The food was great. We made a suggestion for the holiday maybe have a junior portion of the special!! Way too much to eat! I guess not a bad thing right
This is one of our favorites in Milwaukee. They offer a drive-through Fish-Fry as well as in-house (reservations strongly suggested). The ambiance is great and so is the staff.Bar and cocktails before dinner is usually fun with a fair pour. The Walleye is recommended, either in pan-fried or breaded version. The fillet seems a little bigger if ordered breaded.Bar and cocktails before dinner is usually fun with a fair pour.
Had a great time dining in today with my grandmother and sister. Our waitress- who I believe was named Tiffany(?was wonderful and attentive. My grandma said that she was the “best waitress I’ve had in a while” anywhere. We all enjoyed our interaction with the waitress and the food was good too!
Their specials in January included Chicken Alfredo and oh my… it was absolutely delicious. Never expect much from a simple alfredo but this was so unique and flavorful. I believe they add a little beer to the sauce because it tasted a bit like beer cheese soup, which was a first for me but the addition made it rich and delicious. Definitely needs to be on the permanent menu!!
The food is delicious, especially the Friday menu. When ordering takeout, they always remember to include condiments (like tartar, lemons, butter, etc.which is always appreciated. Friendly bartenders with knowledgeable drink-making experience.
Food was good. Loved the chili. Liked the idea of it being served with corn chips.A little disappointed in the bar. Tried to order 2 different drinks and they could not make either one (fuzzy navel, or a cherry rum and Coke). Neither one is difficult only 2 ingredients. But no cherry rum and no peach schnapps:(Saw someone ordered a bloddy mary it looked like a meal. To far away to take a picture, but it looked great and the person receiving it looked very pleased. I think the next time I will try the nachos they looked great as well.I had onion hay stack. It was so so. I had the gourmet cheesr sandwich it was good. A bit dry. Maybe offer a some kind of sauce on the side. I used the ranch from the onion hay stack and it really made a difference.
The Reuben wraps are absolutely to die for. Delicious meal, great pick-up service. Felt very friendly and inviting. Loved it!
Location convenient to the airport, right across the street. If you like French Onion Soup, youve got to try it here!
Pork Chops (well chop, I finished one...the other is tommorrows lunchwere delicious. Service was wonderful. My mother wanted a good hamburger for her 68th birthday. She was happy with it.
Came to try the prime rib which was great, but our favorite was the rack of ribs. Also highly recommend the French onion soup. Friendly staff, casual environment, and delicious food!
If undecided on where to go to eat when in Milwaukee, then go to Final Approach. We have been there several times and always had a great meal. Tonight was Prime Rib, Stuffed Pepper soup, baked potato and salad. Cheesecake and Peanutbutter Choc cheesecake for dessert. Bourbon Old Fashion very good, closer to original recipe than most. More like the sipper it is supposed to be. She enjoyed her Lemon drop Martinis. It is a bit diner, a bit supper club. Very good bar.
Looked for a good place for Friday fish fry and looked at the reviews and were positive and went here tonight. Walked in the hostess was friendly. Myself and girlfriend went to the bar and wait for a table. Bartender was friendly and very helpful for my girlfriend on suggesting cider drink. Hostess came to the bar after 5 minutes and was very pleasant as she walked us to the table. The fish was lightly breaded and had great flavor and tarter sauce I liked a lot. I gave my review 1 🌟 it was not the food or the hostess or drinks. This place was given 1 🌟 because Tiffany our waitress made the experience a horrible time. Me and my girlfriend from the get go ordered ALL YOU CAN EAT fish fry!!! When we asked for more fish she said "you didnt order all u can eat". We had indeed ordered all u can eat. Never brought us water, never ever brought my girlfriend her soda she ordered. Never asked us for more fish and when we asked for more she became very annoyed. After all of this when the bill came, Tiffany brought the bill with over charge of the $2.99 soda on the bill. Instead of correcting the bill she looked around the table with a distasteful expression on her face like we were lying about not receiving the soda. Very very very rude. Would go back if Tiffany was not are waitress. What I see is management never response to negative reviews. Management only responses to positive reviews only???? WOW!!! NO WAY TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS
The service was meh. Our waitress kept making condescending faces when she would answer our questions. Yet she kept speaking in past tense. Did you want to order a drink (should be doWhat kind of salad dressing did you want. The salad description (shown in picturesuses plural nouns yet there was only one cucumber, one tomato & no croutons nor any garlic bread. Without the sour cream & cheese, the chili would not be tastey. The tortilla chips were stale. The 747 burger was good & juicy. The fries were crisp & hot, but they arent crinkle fries as pictured on their online menu. The atmosphere is nice as well.
The Walleye was excellent! The service was a little slow but very kind servers. Perfect lunch spot!
My Uncle, cousin, and I came hear at a last min decision. They really wantted a bloody Mary and this place hit the spot! The live music was a pleasent surprise. Larry Lynne was amazing!! Food was delicious! Recommend if you want a great time!
This is our favorite place to eat at whenever we have a flight out of Milwaukee. We always stay at the Four Points & Final Approach is very close by. They have 30 beer choices. Happy Hour till 6:00 with discounts on appetizers & drinks. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Friendly bartending service by Ann. We shared the smaller order of Haystack Onion Rings for an appetizer which was more then enough for two. We then chose to share the Reuben which we were craving from the last time we ate here. Its one of the best weve ever had. It came with a side order of tasty fries. All other food coming out of the kitchen looked well prepared with large servings. Dont miss this place.
Great food and atmosphere! Had the brat burger on a pretzel roll and it was amazing! Chili was excellent too... Saturday nights they have live entertainment.
