Filling Station Bar And Cafe - American restaurant in Mariano, Philippines
This place is so much better than Dennys in terms of food and ambiance. The servings are huge and are reasonably priced. We went here at around 530am with a few customers. Food was served fast. I ordered a Grandslam. I did not like the french toast itself. I didnt taste the milk that the bread should have been soaked on. What compensated for the taste was the syrup. I almost drowned the toast in it. The sausage was bland but good to pair it with ketchup.
Great experience, food was okay and the restaurant was super drafty and air conditioned 😵💫 we had a starters platter where the fish had an odd consistency but the rest was yummy. The main was chicken and rice, that was delicious but after half the plate you needed some variation due to the really strong flavors
this place might so far be my favorite restaurant ive been to in metro manila! its one of the few food places that are unique and standalone, its open 24/7, their serving time was faster than we would expect considering we ordered a lot, and their food tastes great!! the food tasting great to themed food places are usually not common from my experience, but i felt like the serving size and the taste of the food here was pretty good and im very pleased! and the service was also good, sometimes it was hard to get their attention but it was never too bad. we went for dinner and im not sure exactly what time it was but around 6 maybe (im probably wrong), there was suddenly a loud noise and then all the servers came up in a choreographed dance and there were servers dancing in front of each table, it was so fun and unexpected and it was just a really really cool experience. and a person dressed up as chuckie walks around and interacts with the customers! its so fun! its an american diner galore aesthetic. and whats really great about it is that it does not matter where you sit down. every single seat has a great view of the decor, every table is decorated with little knick knacks. i walked around too and its just really an amazing barf of this mix match diner biker old time pop culture aesthetic to every corner to the ceiling. really you can just stand at a random spot and take pictures and it would look good. they even have a little waiting area that you can take pictures in while waiting for your table! the parking is a bit tricky except we actually got lucky when we went and just parked at the street corner, but they have valet parking though i dont know how much that costs. im surprised a lot of people i know havent heard of it before. i did see a couple foreigners there so maybe the restaurant have more audience to tourists? its well known in makati which isnt an area i usually go to so thats probably why. really good though, i would definitely go again!our orders:Hardy platter(pretty good, im very happy that their buffalo wings actually tasted like buffalo wings aka the hot sauce spice is there), carne asada burrito (pretty good size and taste, needs more cheese though i couldnt taste any cheese at all), chicken and waffles (waffles tasted a bit bready but it was still good, it came with butter honey and caramel), sinatra pesto, and cheeseburger pizza (really tasted like cheeseburger and a pretty cool looking pizza bc it had meat balls in each slice, really good!)total with the discounts (2 senior citizens, 1 pwd--3/4 ppl in our groupcame to just a little bit over 2000 pesos. so i think it was definitely worth it for the price and experince and view, we also had leftovers and i would like to emphasize we all eat a LOT.
This is one of the places you go to only for the vibe, but not for the food.We went here for brunch, and the ambience immediately captured us, with the staff matching the theme with their uniforms. Their menu was ₱₱₱ so we expected more, but we basically forced ourselves to finish our orders in the end out of umay from too much salty, sweet, or just bland tastes.I dont really see myself going back unless its to bring kids to see the decors. But there could be a decent meal in their menu that we failed to try.
Thia place is great for hangout, chill, drink and dine. You will be amazed by the vast collection of vintage items all around the place. Everywhere you look theres an item you will see thats vintage and interesting. Even the ceiling is decorated well. They serve american, italian, mexican and filipino cuisine and servings are generous. I like their burgers because its juicy and the beef patty is thick and seasoned well. The fall off the bone baby back ribs is really tender and the bbq sauce goes well with the meat. Pasta dishes are also good. Their milkshakes are also super good. Its thick, creamy and yummy! I will keep on coming back here.
The theme is nice and I like the sound quality of restaurant music. My ear is very sensitive for loud sound but sound here is comfortable even Its loud.Food and drinks also nice, I can recommend visit here with friends, it would be fun.Just the thing, actually Its hard to avoid but I notice some of customers are a bit intimidating. Just be careful with other customers.Therr is the guard so you dont need to be scared.
Food is average but reasonably priced. Service is a little light - seems they need a few more staff. Atmosphere is top attraction - really fantastic Americana.
This is definitely a very good dining experience. We were blown away by the exceptional interior design, and I like the concept. For food, we got Four For All, but the milkshakes are a must-try.Its a huge restaurant, and we had so much fun. Parking is so challenging.
This place is so cool. It’s like you go back to the 50s / 60s.The food is good, staff is friendly, the whole atmosphere is great. We will be back again.
If you are fan of a retro, this is really a perfect place for you!! The food taste really delicious and worth the price (cause it’s a bit pricey 😅their milkshake is so perfect!!! 😍 they’ll even give the excess of the milkshake that they’ve made. You can stay their and capture good photos! All are instagram worthy! 💯 also, chuckie made my little boy cry huhu. Means, he is effective. Lol. We had our dinner here last sunday. You can wait for your seat at their waiting area downstairs while taking photos and it is air-conditioned. Unfortunately, there’s no parking there. You can park on the building next to it or a street parking but a chance to get your car towed. Lol.
The Americana collection in this diner is just amazing. Every spot is instagrammable. Its worth a visit because the food also hits the spot. A little pricier than usual but u get value for money. If you want a light brekky, just go for the Continental breakfast which has toast, butter, jam and coffee for only P220. Everything else is expensive in Manila so the prices here wont really surprise you
Great ambience and accommodating staff. Food served is typical American cuisine. Definitely a treat for the senses if youre into the retro vibe.
Wow. Portions here are ENORMOUS. The western style food is also pretty good. Cant fault the mango chicken salad, it was delicious.Filipino dishes a bit less tasty. The lumpia arent bad but the pancit palambok was a bit lacking in depth of flavour beyond the fishiness if it. Not great considering the quality of the western food here means the chefs can cook really well!Decor is amazing. Its so fun and vibrant in this place and its really fun to be in here.If youre hungry and want some fun, you could do a lot worse than this
Came to this place for dinner Saturday night. Parking is frustrating. And they refused for reservations. The retrospective designs are mesmerizing actually, and tons of interesting "throwback" items.
Filling Station is a consistent Makati institution for an excellent American breakfast!Bacon crispy, eggs soft scrambled and all the food served nice and hot. So many other restaurants in Manila could learn a thing or two from Filling Station.Cool ambience with all the late 20th century memorabilia!10/10 will be back soon!!!
Probably one of the coolest American diner experiences in all of Philippines. They have walls upon walls of memorabilia - it feels like stepping into the good old times when diners ruled. The food is amazing. Fresh always. The wait staff are all dressed up in retro uniforms from that era and everyone is well put together, clean and professional. Speaking of clean, you would think that, with all the memorabilia, it would be dusty or grimy but they keep it all so clean. The location is fun - right in the heart of Burgos St with lots of people watching and bars within very close distance. It’s non-smoking therefore allows for a fresh atmosphere.
A FILLING STATION BAR AND CAFE , where can enjoy kids and adult family and barkadas. Food is great a bit pricey but you can enjoy the good ambiance of place. Instagramable place. A lot of corner for a good captured to share
Very cool American theme restuarant with staff dress in cartoon heroes, or movie characters. You can get both American and local dishes, so it a good place for gathering since the menu has many varieties.
Filling Station is a different kind of resto. It is an experience in itself. As a bar, the food was great. Great choices of classic American food from burgers, pizza and fries. As a museum, it was a delight to be able to step into a time machine. It was 60s, the 70s and a little bit of the 80s. There were collections of popular American movie posters, classic motorcycles, an old mini copper, a telephone booth and much much more. They will give a free cake if it is your birthday. Just bring a valid ID with your birthday.Watch out for Chucky as well 🤭
Food was absolutely amazing. Staff are extremely friendly, very helpful. Fantastic vibe of the place. If youre anywhere near here, I highly recommend a meal here - you wont be disappointed
Celebrated the Birthday of my godchild and it was sooo much fun!! You will be in awe of the atmosphere and will surely bring out the child in you! Food was great, on the pricey side but all worth it.. Music is great too as I’m an old soul 🤫🫠
Its my first time to dine here and I really enjoyed it. We celebrated my friends birthday last June. Staffs and accomodating and attentive. We really enjoy the food, drinks and cakes and most of all their bday song ♥️🎊🎉
You will not just eat and drink, you will also enjoy making memories here at the 50s retro style diner. PERFECT for photography and filming for those who want to go back to the oldies but goodies.
Ambience is exceptional. You dont get to see diners around the metro which makes this unique. The waitstaff are reall friendly and have been doing a good job with attending at us.The only cons would be their chicken. Were not the best food critique but to say this is just to say it out of concern. This is actually the worst fried chicken weve tried so far.We arent a fan of maxs because their chicken is dry, this one felt drier than that.
I really like this place its so lively and the designs are so eye catching. You can never get bored at it.The food quality is fantastic, our pasta and steak has a generous serving and really worth it. Im too excited to comeback and try other food in the menu 😁.There are so many places you can take pictures with, as the place is surprisingly bigger than what I have expected.Their service is also good as well the staffs are kind and mindful also I like how they are wearing different costumes specially chucky who always try to surprise you. Hope he continues doing that. really fun guyOverall, would definitely bring my family and friends here when I came back.
• pricey but portion sizes are massive• good value for money• I liked the burger but needs a little bit of salt• place is lively, huge and I loved the vintage vibes• great place to dine in with your family & friends
Ive been here for so many times and never disappoint me by the staff. Very instagramable and the staff are nice and accommodating. There are different rooms where you can choose what retro concept and celebrities you want to take a pic of it. Their food and beverages is worth the price. Theres also draft beers and hard alcohols, your friends will really enjoy here.
Wonderful interiors will make you feel like youre indeed in an old American Diner. Servings are good enough for sharing, even the rootbeer float that we ordered is huge enough for me.
The place is superb nice and you can really feel the retro vibe. You can see old stuff like McDonald on his chair and all.I had coffee while the other had a meal, buko juice, milkshakes and a tower of weng-weng.Were here at 2AM and left at almost 3AM.This is a nice place to dine. Very Instagrammable ☺️
Very vintage vibes. Celebrated my birthday here with my beshy. Foods are pricey but considering its elegant place is reasonable. The staff even greeted me and sung a happy birthday song for me which I really appreciate, crew staff are very approachable. Love to be back here if theres any chance.
The food is good and the decorations are amazing. Its just like walking into 1960 again. But you also get:- appetizers before plates. So your food will be cold before you can eat.- your friends dishes served before yours. They will be half way through your meal before you can eat.- quite some waiting time before you get any service. Menues, drinks, napkins - if they remember at all.- stressed staffI give them 3 stars because I was there on a Friday. They were getting busy at that time.
Nice place to hang out. The servings are worth the price. Would love to visit this again with friends and family. :)
The food looks good but it wasn’t that great, service was poor however the staff was friendly. This place is only good for picture taking.
Filling Station Bar and Cafe their food is really good! Wow, OLD TIMER BURGER & FILLING STATION PIZZA is amazing.... yummy , flavorful, mouth-watering. Cant wait to visit their Bar Cafesoon. They delivered my order on time.
Great place to hangout or celebrate with family and friends. Menu layed out creatively with fresh foreign taste. Would definitely go back here.
A month ago we tried to eat here a few night but there is always a long queue. We thought wow, it must be so good!Yesterday we ended up here for breakfast by mistake. Nothing out of the ordinary and quite pricey (2000php breakfast for 2)Although there is several staff on the floor, they need to be called several times and are not paying much attention to you, but more to chat and joke between themselves. Not sure how lunch or dinner is, but breakfast was nothing to write home about.
As a kid born before the 00s, this place will return the retro in you. I enjoyed the ambience and the groove of the place. The food menu is soo varied and delicious too!Ipinaglaban ako nung Irish coffee! 🤣
Finally ate at the famed Filling Station. Saw photos of this restaurant years ago and always wanted to go. The place is big considering how loaded it is. They even have a car replica you can sit and eat in. The food is definitely not your typical fast food price but so worth it, t’was good. You can’t leave this restaurant without snapping or posting for a photo. This is definitely the most aesthetically appealing restaurant I’ve been in. Will definitely go back if I have the money.
I had fun. Its been a while. Music is great and almost all the food is good for two person. Be aware of this. The service is great and Chuckie doesnt kill us. But the Sloppy Joe could kill.💘☺️👌
This place transports you back in time! They have so many vintage photos and collectibles all around the resto showcasing 20th Century USA and others. Its amazing!Their menu was so full! Lots to choose from. The Pecan Pie and Chocolate Milkshake we had were just ok though, nothing special. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. Rose was particularly a happy soul.
Do you love ribs? Steak? Beer and late night hangouts? Here is one for you! This american-theme bar and cafe will satisfy your cravings and fill your tummy! We ordered ribs, fries and corn kernels. They also serve hawaiian pizza too!I think their single serving is already good for two.You can order liquors and beer too.Make sure to contact them first before heading to the place as they are always almost full during peak hours especially on Fridays and weekends. The place is popular to nearby establishments and considered as the nearest place to go for quick hangouts. You can take instagrammable and blog-worthy photos here too.Try here!
Fun resto!! Big servings! A little bit expensive maybe because of maintenance. Milkshake was good and chicken fingers. :Thanks! Will visit again!Parking: Beside 1898 hotel (need to cross the street)
Fun place to visit for its film-inspired furnishings. Food is pretty good; we loved the classic millshakes, serving is generous. We tried the hotdog sandwich and it was great except for the chips which were stale. Still tasted okay though.Visiting at night is probably better for the ambiance alone. Expect it to be busier though. Definitely not a good place to grab a quick bite; you can end up waiting for your order for at least 30 minutes if the place is jam-packed.The ground floor is full of toys and miscellaneous tinkrets that act as fun backdrops for photos.
Me and my friend had a really memorable date night here. The theme is very unique, staffs are cute with their uniforms. They also had polite guests who even offered us free beers. Food is fine, their burger is legit beef but Im expecting it to be flavorful. Milkshake is to die for! Kudos to James and A-jin for their great service and to their polite guards! More power!
Hands down, loved the food! We did not have a good experience because the food arrived AN HOUR late. Every other table that came AFTER us already had their food served and were eating. We arrived before 8:30PM and our 3 orders (Calzone, Eggs Ben Burger, Chicken Piecame past 9:30PM! That was such a long waiting time! Also, to make matters worse, I actually went there for their Chimichangas—it was supposed to be my highlight of the day because Ive been wanting to try it for SO LONG—only to find out that they didnt have it :( So the both of us just went for the calzone instead. Honestly, the portion sizes are massive! Good value for money. Such a nice interior. The food was tasty. The bun on their burger is so delicious and buttery but the burger patty was a bit bland. The chicken in the pie was cardboard dry though and the pic showed it was oozing with hot gravy inside but we were served gravy on a small dish that wasnt even very warm—but I keep to my statement that their food is generally delicious! The cakes were hard to put down! Im just realky disappointed about the Chimichangas and not being treated the same way as other customers with regards to attentiveness/waiting time.
Good vibe. Good food. Excellent service. It will definitely take you back to a 60s diner. Highly recommended.
1950s American concept restaurant. Absolute Heaven to be able to get food in the wee small hours, after a night out.The staff are super courteous and helpful and did their best to accommodate all groups dining in.There are plenty of food options for everyones taste.Something for everyone.
You cant go wrong with Filling Station, a stylish restaurant with a good ambiance. Love the salmon, its always a pleasure to visit. They have a smoking Area which is important to me.
I love vintage so much! I dont know I might have live in the past and was only reincarnated 😂. Anyway, talking about vintage this place is a must visit. First impression, I like the vibe! An americaned themed diner with lots of 50s memorabilia which is located in Makati... very instagrammable as they would say!!! The staff was courteous as they led us to our table. The food is good from preparation to presentation, very pleasing but a little pricey though. I still suggest you visit the place coz I myself would really love to come back!
Looking for a late night snack of burger and milkshakes with a 1950s ambiance? This is the right place!! Really at awe to try and enjoy this place which is open until 2am. It’s in the middle of Makati so parking there is no parking space inly roadside parking. Nonetheless, the burger and milkshakes are authentic! We will definitely come back here and enjoy the scenic era of 1950!
