Loved every moment here - had a delicious lunch with very attentive staff. Will definitely go back!

Tried this restaurant for the first time, and fell in love with it, the best food the best service loved the experience.

What a great restaurant, Wanstead High Street would likely surprise many people not familiar with East London, but its so lovely and has a relaxed but sophisticated vibe to it. Filika fits perfectly within its surroundings, with service and food to match. Every dish coming out looked amazing, we wanted to try all of them!We had the Sea Bass and also the lambs liver, both superb, the latter being the best dish of its kind that Ive eaten. Portion sizes are slightly on the generous side. Service was perfect, relaxed, friendly, professional. The menu has something for everyone, I cant imagine anyone being disappointed. Gave four stars for atmosphere as the size and furnishings do allow for the place to be a bit noisy, but its not a complaint at all, more just being picky. Make sure you book, this place gets full!!

Lovely food, large portions and very pleasant staff and surroundings. I love it that they bring complimentary houmous and warm baked bread plus water to the table when you arrive. More tables upstairs and very clean toilets.

We visited Filika a couple of days ago and loved it. The food was amazing, it was a bit different to what you usually get from a Turkish restaurant and there was lots of menu options. The dishes we had were really flavoursome and the meat and fish were cooked perfectly. It also tasted like it was cooked on a proper charcoal grill making it more delicious. The customer service was also great, the staff were very friendly and attentive which always makes a difference. We would definitely recommend ❤️

Chicken breast is prefect! It is soft and juicy.A prefect seasoned chicken breast mix with the slightly grilled smell are spread in my mouth that brings a great satisfaction to me.

Nice place. The food is good but not incredible. The service however was really good, waiters were polite, efficient and professional, not something that we see very ofter these days!

Ordered the scallop and octopus as starters& the mixed grill and mixed fish grill as main.Everything were fabulous and extremely delicious! And the service is very good! Will definitely go there again and try other dishes!

We had a very good time at this restaurant. With delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and the customer service on point and the Turkish waitress served us with kindness.

Really friendly and helpful staff, starters were delicious. My main was also nice however instead of being given rice I was given chips. When mentioned that we wanted rice I was told they had run out as they had a big takeaway order. We were offered alternative sides but the dish I ordered (spicy potwould have been best with rice. Just disappointed in the way the situation was handled, would have liked to have been made aware before being given a side I did not order/necessarily want. There was a really long delay between our starters and main which I realised was due to them sorting the large takeaway order they had before doing our mains.

Good place with good food.we werent sure if we wanted to stay but we were warmly welcomed so we stayed. Good decision. Food came quickly we had salmon stew and lentil soup with some dessert after.we received some hummus and warm bread on the house. There are also seats upstairs. Really clean place, clean bathroom clean cutlery and glasses.Service was prompt and friendly. Thank you to the waitress (sorry I dont know your name but we added the photos 😁😘We recommend 👍🏻

Me and my friends had the best customer service ever! Our waiter was so polite, friendly even funny. Tabbouleh, prawn tempura and octopus one of the best starters i ever try. Mix grill was recommended from the waiter, he was right so yummy and tasty! Filika never dissapoint you! Thank you Billy for your service, Thank you again, Filika for this cosy and tasteful dinner!

Have been here before and enjoyed our meal. This time, totally different.There was a group of incredibly loud women in the restaurant who had been asked to quieten down by management. They refused to do so. Screeching, screaming, howling. Not a care for anyone else’s dining experience.A couple next to us had their hands over their ears at times, and at first it was embarrassingly funny. Then another couple stood up and had a word with the manager. Nothing was done.When we felt their behaviour was going to ruin our evening, I quietly called the manager over and asked if anything could be done. No, he said. They were regulars, you see!He then looked embarrassed and asked if I could have a word with them instead?Mate, I’ve come to your restaurant, I am paying you for a pleasant dining experience, good food, etc. I’m meant to be relaxing. Suggest you go on a “difficult conversation course” and learn how to deal with pain in the backside customers.Terrible experience, none of us will be visiting again.

Upmarket Mediterranean restaurant. Very good food. Lamb kofta was outstanding. Best Ive had, and thats saying something. Every dish we had didnt disappoint. Well done Filika!

The food and service is excellent. A starter and main will cost less than £30. I dont drink but I was told thier prices on alcohol were fair.There is paid parking at the station or you can commute via Wanstead Station which is a less 1 minute walk away. If you have dinner there after 1830 there are lots of free places to park.Positive experience I will visit again soon

We went here to have a birthday dinner for my mum. The food and the service was absolutely amazing!, we had a lovely time and was one of the freshest fish especially being not by the coast! The burgers were amazing and all the food was tasty!. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food, well-sized portions and the service was impeccable! The meat and seafood were really tender and tasty.

Excellent Turkish food but its the service that makes this place stand out, the attention to detail & warmth of the staff makes eating here a pleasure.Grilled octopus is difficult to do well, this was real melt-in-the-mouth stuff, beautifully cooked.The lamb kofte was also delicious & nicely seasoned, and is part of the very well priced set lunch menu. We finished with Turkish coffee & mini Turkish delights that were so delicious, they ended up bringing us a plate of them :)

Amazing spot with high quality food. We ordered the mixed grill and seafood grill, with a mezze platter to share. Honestly the grill plate would have been enough as it came with huge portions! The seafood grill is to die for — amazing grilled prawns, octopus, salmon, calamari, and scallops with a butter sauce and a creamy potato mash. Very reasonable prices and fantastic service as well. Will 100% be back again!

One of the very few places around London that gives value for the money and excellent quality food. Loved juicy lamp chops and spicy veggie. The pita bread was so fresh and soft, you could just have them.I devoured the pistachio baklava. Wasn’t butter and sweet overload.sweet to perfection.Cocktails can be better is the only area of improvement.Excellent host. Very much taking care of each table in detail. Loved the service.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant.The ambience is lovely.The staff soo polite and attentive, checking if everything was ok…And the calamari wow fresh not rubbery like the others I’ve tried.The veg were tasty the meats were nice. Prawn tempura, well we ate soo much we had to take it away. Couldn’t finish between the two of us.

Service was excellentStarters were amazing (King Prawns/Scallops/Chicken skewerscooked to perfection and succulentMain was good! Peppercorn sauce with the steam was too clumpy and not runny otherwise all nice!!

A lovely restaurant located on the High Street. We ordered the grilled mix fish and salmon stew both were exceptional and very fresh. Staff were very welcoming and the service was faultless. Cant wait to return and try other items on the menu.

I have visited here about 10 times in the last 2 years, with my partner, with groups of friends and with family and this place never ceases to amaze me.Always consistent with the quality of food and service, not to mention how friendly and attentive the staff are - specifically Eray who we now wave to every time we pass the restaurant.We have tried majority of the menu over time, all of which has been absolutely delicious - the octopus is a must try and they do a very tasty tiramisu.I have nothing to fault about this place, it will always be a top favourite of mine!

Excellent local restaurant in wanstead high street in good location near to the tube station. Food always consistently fresh and tasty and staff are efficient and friendly. You always get complimentary bread and hummus to start you off (nice touch). Toilets are upstairs so not accessible. Well worth a visit.

I never eat bread at restaurants but yours is so delicious and warm with very nice HummusI dont eat meat often because I dont find it tasty but Your Meat is so soft and flavoury. With yogurt and spicy amazing condiment . The only thing maybe is the Aperol Spritz glasses/ and its too light for me ; but for this price its ok. MOJITO is very good.And Very good service. 👍Came back for the 3rd time today ; the service was Amazing; the waiter (from Romaniais so nice and professional. The food is high Level; extremely soft and tasty , Margarita was very flavoury. Everything is always perfect

Food has always been amazing whether its prawn, chicken or meat. Very friendly staff, decent sized portions and fairly cleaned toilets.

I had a lovely time here tonight. The service was good, the food was very tasty and the prices were reasonable. It’s a lovely cosy restaurant and perfect for a date night or a girly catch up over some grill and a glass of wine 😉I loved the atmosphere and it was very clean. Staff were wearing face masks. Took advantage of the government scheme Eat Out to Help Out, and took my daughter for lunch.The restaurant had all their tables already reserved but the lovely man had 1 table for us outside so we’re so happy that we ate here.Food was excellent, I really loved my main course of sea bass.They gave complimentary bread and hummus, daughter ordered grilled prawns and calamari with chips which I tried a bit and it was lovely.I will definitely will be coming back as there were other items on the menu that I want to try.Thank you for a great experience

We normally go to woodoven at South Woodford but decided to try out Filika today. Food was amazing, we like both mixed grill meat and mixed fish grill. All taste very fresh, superb service and very nice atmosphere. Will be back again.

One of our favourite local restaurants, serving delicious food at very reasonable prices and always friendly service. Just reopened and such a joy to go back to. The kunefe was magnificent as usual.They did social distancing well, leaving lots of space and empty tables where necessary to maintain distance. The front doors were kept open to allow air circulation, and they had hand sanitizer at the front door and bathroom entrances. Staff wore masks and gloves. We felt safe and relaxed eating there, would highly recommend!

awesome place for drinks food, with efficient service. I must say the this place have various options for veg,non-veg,vegan with delicious taste and presentation. We have tried vegetarian plater and sea bass fish also some meat balls all dishes was amazing all I all loved it..... Must try to visit and enjoy delicious food with various drinking options...........

Amazing food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Love coming here, reasonably priced for Wanstead. Very much recommended. Ive dined here many a time just with friends and with large groups. Staff have always been excellent.

I visited Filika out of all of the restaurants in Wanstead due to its high Google ratings. Although the food was nice, as there were only two of us it seemed to take a while to get the attention of the waiters. As they were too busy with the tables of larger numbers of people. Which is why I have knocked a star off.

It was a nice surprise of finding this restaurant. They have good selection for the variety of the food. The offers are really good deals. The device was excellent. They found me carrots and cucumber to go with hummus after I told them that I could not have the bread. It was really nice gesture as It was on the house that I did not pay for it. Both starer and main course were nice and good portion. I was struggled to finish the food. The Turkish delight that they given in the end was nice too. I will go back to try other dishes if I am in the area.
