Fika - Coffee shop in Zaventem, Belgium
Helpful Staff, Great Barista’s
Freshly baked pastries in a delicious atmosphere with beautiful plants and good books!
Everyone was a bit disappointed by the quality of the coffee but the staff were exceptionally lovely
Coffee was delicious. However, the inner courtyard seemed dirty. For me, that diminished the charm of the coffee shop.
Cosy intimate garden. The chairs arent very comfy. Coffee is very good but pastries I didnt like as much
"Fika" is the Swedish word for the concept of taking a break while drinking coffee accompanied with a sweet treat and/ or a good chat.I think it is the perfect name for this café. It is a little hidden gem, the kind of coffee place I would like to see more in Brussels. .They focus on good, fresh coffee and homemade (deliciousbaked goods. You go there to enjoy your cup and a snack in a calming and lovely atmosphere. Especially if the weather is nice, you can sit in the backyard as if you were in your own garden.
Had a great cold brew, the garden is a nice touch during the summer
Coffee and croissant with cinnamon and a nice place to sit
Great coffee, happy servers and cool place.
Nice and cozy, but limited seating area inside. Looking forward to see the new terrace.
Cutest coffee shop!! & gluten free options were sooo yummy. Only downside is that there wasn’t a lot of seating but we got lucky
Simple and cozy coffee shop. All baked goodies are great, but if you must choose, do go for a delicious cookie. One the best one in town... (sign AKA "Cookie Monster")
Cozy little café with amazing handmade cinnamon buns! Cannot recommend it more, already looking forward to come back 🥰
Very cute place with great coffee and very tasty cinnamon rolls
Excellent service, hot chocolate, cappuccino, cakes and vibe. Loved it!
Best cinnamon rolls in town ! Just need to go early to make sure they don’t run out - would love it if you were open on Sunday’s !
I would really love to give 5*, cause the space is very cozy and the coffee is pretty good, however, the cinnamon buns were unfortunately pretty dry. Will come back regardless, but probably not for the buns.Edit: I have to lower to 3 stars, the service is honestly not very nice. Ive seen worse, but... definitely much much better.
Very nice cosy cafe! Delicious capuccino and 🍪! They have a very large backyard thats very welcome in times of Corona.
Nice coffee corner! The cinnamon rolls are very tasty. A bit expensive.
Cardamon and cinnamon buns are dry and not like in Stockholm :( tea and coffee good and staff is very friendly but the placeis unauthentic tome and a bit shabby, it might have been cool sometimes but needs redecoration or just a bit more authenticity. It seems like a preferred place for locals though but nothing like Sweden to me...
Coffee and cinnamon bun are good 4/5. Cappuccino I think better than Latte. Service is meh... Baristas were not polite and not smiling. When I come for a cap of coffee I also come for a good mood. I really had bigger expectations for the place.
Great Coffee and gorgeous outdoor.Cinamon bun Ok, No firewoks, but Ok.
Good coffee and pleasant service. The garden area is nice, but perhaps the outdoor furniture could use an upgrade.
Delicious coffee and lovely staff. Their cinnamon bun is also delicious !
Delicious coffee, tried almost all of the kinds they have and loved them all! Everything is beautifully presented, staff is super nice, speaks English, and they also have baked goods to go with coffee. Will definitely be coming back!
We tried the latte, cappuccino and also cinnamon roll. However, I think it’s more like a ‘cinnamon bun’ instead of roll. Not bad
My favorite café out of all the places I visited in Europe. It’s small and away from the city center, but it’s a peaceful and warm place. The owner is extremely friendly and bakes all the goods herself. The prices are so reasonable for coffee and pastries in Brussels, and I felt the need to leave a tip because of how much I enjoyed my breakfast and being able to calmly plan my day trip in the city. If I’m ever in Brussels again, I will most definitely make the trek out here.
Amazing coffee, freshly baked cakes, really really good semla, minimalist decor and of course very good people running the shop!
it is a little nice place, the coffee is good for be in Belgium, I am italian so you can believe me about coffee and pizza. The pain au chocolat too are very good, I suggest you to go in couple or in four at max.
All the pastries are self-made on the spot, and super delicious. Coffee is great. The place is often full so theres hard to find a place to sit.
One of the best coffee places in Brussels. Beware that the place is tiny. Cinnamon rolls are delicious. Quick service for take away. Very much recommended.
Most excellent coffee. Cool little place. Wish it was summer, so that i could sit in the back garden
Lovely cafe with delicious cakes and cinnamon buns!
The coffees were just ok. The cafe shop can barely accommodate 10/15 people properly. Infact it’s so cosy that one needs to place their jacket, scarf, bag etc on their respective laps.
Very cosy place. Great coffee. Highly recommend it!
Honestly the best cup of coffee I have found in Brussels. This coffee shop is quaint and cozy, with a beautiful little backyard to enjoy the great coffee and a good book. I look forward to going every weekend for a nice relaxing morning. Highly recommend!
Beautiful Swedish-style cafe with few but excellent choices of coffee & pastries. Small but cozy. Definitely a nice place. It’s a pity that the waitress is unfriendly. I don’t know if she was having a bad day but, hey, not the our fault. With a good customer service, this would be one of my favourite cafes in Bxl.
Very fine coffee. Go sit in the backyard, enjoy the quiet and relax with fika.
There arent enough words of praise for Fika. Over the few weeks Ive spent in Brussels, many hours have spent in Fika enjoying great coffee, friendly staff and delicious baked goods. The garden is a great place and the tables, while rare, are a great place to get work done. I would warn about one thing, the constant baking makes it extremely difficult to not buy a cookie or other baked good. Would definitely recommend.
Great coffee and delicious cake! Totally recommended
The coffee is not bad, but the service could be a tiny bit more upbeat. Suicidal vibes at this place. (Wrote this a year ago and no, no change). In addition: Not too happy if I pay by card. Yes even 2.30 € by card - its 2019!
Not to be missed if youre in the area: a quiet little garden with a view towards the church, minimalistic but cozily designed interior, excellent coffee and, most importantly, their treats often come warm straight out the oven as they bake goods during the day!
Semla. Get it here! The best place for premium quality coffee and finest desserts. Cosy place to enjoy your daily coffee and to please your sweet tooth. When warmer and sunny, enjoy it all in the fine garden with a view to the lical church. Get here, you will not regret it!
Lovely place, really great coffee and patisserie
Great coffee, and amazing garden next to the church. Sometimes one can hear the choir on Sundays. Unfortunately no vegan option except of the soy milk. Even asking for muesli with soy milk I got a no. Owner doesn’t give me a smile after I went there regularly since they opened around 2 years ago...
The best coffee place in Brussels. Not only for tasty coffee but also for the owners, charming & peaceful garden, perfect for reading a book or simply to chill out, rest from city rush and rumour. I keep on coming back very often!
Lovely home-made ice tea, and the almond-raspberry cake is divine!
Addicted to their brioche and coffee (which is possibly the best in Brussels). I love their garden, a little oasis in the neighborhood and perfect for a sunny morning!
When I arrived there, the barista was smoking in front of the door and threw her cigarette butt on the floor (next to a few others). Then went in and start serving coffee and cookies without washing her hands! Disgusting, I strongly do not recommend this place. The coffee is nothing special...
Ive been a coffee addict for years and this place has the best coffee I ever had. Period. Make a detour, you wont regret it. They also serve homemade pastries and other delicacies that look like no other.
