Fiddie's - Italian restaurant in Chengzhong, China
Great Italian restaurant with awards galore .. the food is great I had the spicy sausage pasta its was divine, the owner is very welcoming and made our evening even better with his approach and openess , this restaurant should surely go on your list of ones to visit..
Incredible food and Cozy place!Excellent, fresh, Italian food in perfect quantity.Polite and delightful staff!Very Good prices and Many choices!! Highly recommended!!!
The prices are more expensive than what they have on the website (£10.95 vs £8.50 for a pizza). When we asked for the bill, we were just given a piece of paper with the amount written by hand and asked to pay in cash. The pizza and tiramisu were fine, but nothing too exciting. The staff weren’t wearing masks. I would avoid this place since there are many more better options in the area.
Our food was amazing. Portions were big and prices were very good for these dishes. I really enjoyed Fiddies Antipasto and a Parma Ham Salad, and my husband had Pasta Penne which was also delicious. We will definitely come back !
Ive had two lovely meals from here, I cant praise them enough. Fabulous family atmosphere, cheery Italians who serve beautiful meals 10/10 from me
Great and unpretentious Italian with good pizza and pasta, and lovely friendly staff. The cheese on the pizza could be improved though - cant quite put my finger on it but it was lacking in some way.
Easily one of the best carbonaras Ive had in London! Fantastic flavourful food! The pasta itself was freshly made and delicious; the sauce was saucy and there was a looot of it. Highly recommend this place to everyone whos looking for some good/real Italian food!
Really delicious authentic Italian food! Well impressed! Waiter took care of us and all our fussy orders, he did it with humour and professionalism, practically created a dish for me and it was amazing! Will definitely be returning again!
Very nice place, food was delicious. Beautiful environment and excellent customer service. Special thanks to the owner italian gentleman . Looking forward to coming back soon. Would definitely recommend!
A hidden gem in North London. This is real food made beautifully. The pesto, the bread basket, the lasagna all to die for. The staff is super friendly. We have ordered during lockdown and visited before.
Great place, nice food, had a small issue that was no fault of the owner, but they went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied customers. Whether for takeaway, delivery, or a nice casual meal at the restaurant, Fiddies comes hugely recommended! Lovely owner, grazie!
I have been here many times, always delicious food whatever it is, never gone wrong here. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed and casual and feels homely. The owner is a great character too.
We had a great time here. The owner was very welcoming and the food was delicious. We had the fried zucchini and Funghi allAglio to start. And Linguine Vongole and Spaghetti Scoglio for mains which were fresh and delicious. Had to finish the meal with Tiramisu.I couldnt get enough so had to take a pizza home.Would Visit again just for the hospitality and service and the great food is a bonus.
No thrills local Italian that does its food right without pushing any boundaries. All of the table enjoyed their pizzas, the dough really was quite good and made the pizza in my opinion. Would return again
Fiddies is the one shop in Swiss Cottage neighbourhood I want to go everytime I want to eat outside. Right from the shear warm welcome and homely atmosphere to the delicious cheese laden dishes, everything is top notch. My favourite (as you might’ve guessed from my picturesis the baby chicken with tomatoes. Its soft, its juicy and the flavours are distinctly delicious 😋!The steak 🥩 is a unique approach to serving steaks with peppercorns being the king 👑 of steak flavour. The bigger dishes take some time to be ready, hence go for the garlic 🧄 bread 🍞. It comes like a pizza 🍕
Everything from Fiddies is worth going. Form the nice house red to the pizza, even starters. We are not speaking about an expensive restaurant, we are speaking about a delicious no frills Italian place. All of this wrapped into a chill atmosphere and a good service. Recommended.
Amazing food. Super friendly owner. At least i assume he is. Big portions! I ordered ravioli bolognaise. Amazing
I was with my husband first time today. Impression very positive. Smiling owner welcoming guests. Its rare. Short and clear menu card. A choice for people who like meat and vegetarian dishes. The place is cozy, nice music, home-like atmosphere. Food is delicious! Good fresh ingredients. Short waiting time. Im glad I found the taste of Italy. I will come back here. Thank you!!!
Great place for a hearty reasonably priced Italian meal. Can recommend both the pastas and the pizzas, all very tasty. The lunch time deals are really good value for money. This is a well known fact though however so it can get rather busy during lunch hours. Somehow we always still find a seat amongst the buzz however. The owner provides a friendly service as well.
Food cooked from the heart is always great. At Fiddies its cooked fresh. The smiles are genuine and the laughter, happy.
This little place is absolutely amazing. Price is unbeatable, but food is much beyond that. 5 stars.
Just been there with my four kids n the service and Food was excellent. They accommodated us by moving tables around n Mr Fiddie was very jovial n pleasant. Not many restaurants these days bother to serve their customers with such personalized service. And the potions were very generous. The food was delicious too. Will be a regular here from now on
A hidden gem with the most amazing host. He made us all feel welcome from the start. I came across this restaurant on google and I am so glad that I found it. The food was AMAZING the atmosphere and the service was impeccable. What a fabulous evening had by all. If I could give ten stars I would ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟 thank you again we will be back
Went for our anniversary meal. Fiddie and his wife Emma were very friendly. The atmosphere was cheerful. The food (pizza and risottowas amazing.
Oh my, proper Italian feast. Great service too.
Excellent. Authentic Sicilian managed place. Very friendly and professional. They display a real pride in delivering fantastic food at value for money prices.Check out the lunchtime menu. I paid £8.50 for a delicious glass of house red and a diavolo pizza which was perfectly spicy and delicious. The manager recommended this deal instead of my original choice which wasnt the set lunch deal and wouldve doubled the price. I really appreciate the honesty. If youre jonesing for a pizza in Hampstead of Swiss Cottage, give this place a try. You will enjoy it.
Brilliant place, great food and very reasonable prices. Far better than going to a chain restaurant and the owner always goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and even throws in discounted drinks or free shots. We visited 3 times in the same weekend, had different dishes and all were done to perfection. Check out their TripAdviser reviews too. Highly recommended but make sure you book during busy times.
My husband and I visited this restaurant on our last night in London. The staff is amazing and make you feel like a regular!! We were helped by a guy, possibly the owner. He was hilarious and made us feel very welcomed and was very nice about my but allergy. Typically restaurants give you a shpeel about nuts and contamination and eat at your own risk, and make your allergy feel like an inconvenience..not here! He actually made me laugh about my but allergy and was very attentive. Food was delicious and serving sizes are huge. We got one pasta and one pizza. Delicious and highly recommend!
We tried two pizzas and one pasta. The pizza was preferred by all of us so that is what I would recommend. Service was friendly and fairly quick. Its a small restaurant and can get quite loud. Good value as the portions were quite good. Overall a nice experience.
One of, if not the best Pizzas in London. Service that cant be beaten and great price too. Packed out, as it should be in the evening, but lunch time you should be able to get a table. An extremely rare five stars.
Nice Italian food in North London. Enjoyed our lunch
Visit:21 February 2019A bustling restaurant thats probably wise to make a reservation for if youre going to eat pre-theatre or cinema. That said, while we were there a couple who wandered in were found seats fairly quickly.Theres a wide selection of pasta dishes to choose from, for each sauce you can choose from approximately 10 types of pasta, including gluten free. Then there are the pizzas and then there are the mains. Theres a lot to choose from! The staff are exceedingly friendly and know how to work the dining area, food and drinks are delivered quickly and tables cleared with the same efficiency. With 3 mains, a side salad and 6 bottles of beer coming to less that £20 per head you cant go wrong and did I mention the complimentary limoncello? The veal escalope was cooked perfectly, no dry piece of shoe leather here. Friends were effusive about their pasta dishes, the mushroom one was especially flavoursome.
Great Italian-american style pizza. Small place friendly staff.
We went here as it was highly recommend for a local Italian restaurant. We were greeted by the owner, who showed us to our table. Hes very chatty and welcoming. We werent that hungry, so decided to have only one course. We both went for starters as we had heard that the portions were big. We werent disappointed and our food was very tasty.A word of advice, make sure you book as it is quite small with limited seating, plus its a popular local eaterie.
Excellent Italian food from a favourite local restaurant. Great friendly owner!
Friendly service but super busy restaurant. Great lunch deal - selected pasta or pizza with a soft drink. Huge portions which were of great value. Both pasta and pizza were super tasty and surprisingly cheap! Two lunch deals altogether cost less than £14! Highly recommended as the restaurant is at a convenient location - only less than 5 mins walk from Finchley Road station!
Authentic Italian food, at reasonable prices, on a convenient location, served by a wonderful man. We have been here a few times and the food has always been full of flavours and much better than some of the established big-name chains. Portion sizes are generous, so take your time enjoying every bite. And keep your ears open for some melodious humming by the owner.
Great food and good price. Very friendly environment. Will repeat for sure!
Great family run Italian restaurant. Yummy food at an affordable price and good portions. The service was excellent both the owner and the young waitress had amazing customer service (including the complimentary Limoncello). Only thing is make sure u to get reservations as the place gets packed even on a Monday evening.
Great food, vegan options! This amazing little Italian place has several vegetarian and vegan options amongst the usual and always wanted regular Italian specialties. The quality and presentation are super and the staff friendly and fun.100% recommend
Weve been here for the second time in one week on our holiday and the food is just SO amazing. Italy manifested on your plate. They also have vegan options and gluten free pasta! The gentleman running the place is just lovely. I would 100% come back every time!
Highly recommend, fantastic local restaurant. The portions are generous, flavours and great coupled with great prices, I cannot complain. The restaurant is fairly small, so if you so come at a busy time, you might have to wait. We came during the “Beast from the East” period so it wasn’t as busy but can easily see it getting packed out.We had pizza, pasta, lasagne, and a whole grilled sea bass. The stand out dishes were the fish, pasta and lasagne. We so surprised at the size of the fish and how fresh it was! With the average price of each dish around £10 it’s great value. We had 4 people and were completely stuffed at the end. Will definitely come back.
Great place for pizza or pasta friendly staff excellent customer service family run and a great atmosphere host was brilliant
Service was amazing! Food was affordable and delicious. A must go! The waiter (I suspect owner was so kind and helpfull. We ordered calamari fritti twice and my son ate almost his weight in pizza!!! Only problem, the place is quite small and you probably need to book between 7 and 9. They also do deliveries if you fancy eating in the comfort of your own home.
My wife and I are from the states and are quite discerning. We spent our second and last day looking for any menu that could match last nights dinner. We were happy that we did. Another round of amazing food with a most wonderful host. Trust me...get the cheesy garlic bread. I know when we return to London we will visit his restaurant!
This restaurant is a little gem. The food is superb and the staff friendly and obliging. Try the mussels, pizza and grilled fish. All outstanding. I thought the calves liver too was just perfectly done- cooked to just the right point to savour the smoothness. This is my best find of 2017
Great place! Very interesting atmosphere, the food is wonderful! I had pizza, try cooked it very quick and it was great, the owener is very nice and caring. You look at the price, its good, I payed £9 for pizza but it so worth it you have no idea!Definitely Recommend this place!
Up there with the best Italian restaurants in London and its on Finchley Road of all places! Great food and service. Nice wine too. Just shows what can happen when a business knows what it is doing and works hard to please customers. Weve been back since and the same high standards.
Pizza was slightly charred we had to wait quite some time to get our glasses for the beer. Foccacia bread was delicious and the owner is a great guy.You should visit this restaurant if you come around Swiss cottage.
Weve just returned from a weekend in London & found this Italian restaurant on Friday night. It was very busy so we waited for a table. Im so glad we did, the food was excellent, the service great and the menu is very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next evening. My fussy 6 year old...
