Ferry Terminal Park - Park and Garden in Dartmouth, Canada
Great park for older kids to climb on. Harder for toddlers though.
Beautiful green space with a great view and close to all amenities.
A great spot for enjoying the scenery with a cup of coffee. Theres a playground here for children as well. The Peace Pavillion is open again.
Ferry terminal Park is a beautiful place children are enjoying with slides and in front of the beautiful sea really awesome view.
The ferry service is very convenient to travel from Halifax to Dartmouth and come back. You can also transfer to a bus after using the Ferry and the transfer is officially valid for 90 minutes. You can also return from Dartmouth using the same ticket within 90 minutes. You need to have exact change to use the Ferry which is 2 dollars and 75 cents. The terminal also has atm and change machines. Hope they accept credit and debit cards in the future.
Love coming down here, the halifax harbour view is phenomenal on the Dartmouth side:-)
Great park on the water front
Beautiful spot. The city of Halifax/Dartmouth are putting on a concert series here on the weekends and in Halifax at Grand Parade.
A beautiful quiet little park that really captures the essence of the Darmouth waterfront.
Peaceful, with nice views of Halifax and Georges Island.
Beautiful waterfront Park especially this purple picnic table !! Just very good for pictures and selfies🤳
Took the ferry to go to Halifax for the gay pride parade. Fun ride.
Under construction in July 2022 but still nice to see.
A nice, little park with a great view of the ocean, breezes, benches, trees and grass. Annnnnd, the Peace Pavilion is open most days now!
Wondering when the Dartmouth waterfront is going to be finished. A sad sight for too long
Its pleasant on a hot day, but small, and there were too many people for my liking that particular Saturday.
Its so awesome you can take your bike across the ferry !
Nice place.. look out for restaurants and coffee outlets..
Very peaceful place to go and relax, enjoy the sun with beautiful view of Halifax City. Watch the slow train go by. You can have a good walk.
Great little walk to pass the time
We took the ferry across from Halifax specifically for our grandkids to play at this park. The ferry ride was fun. The playground was worth it. The had unique playground that our grandkids loved. The only drawback was no public restroom for the playground. We had to go back to the ferry terminal for that. Still it was a fun time for them.
The best view of Halifax. A great farmers market in the terminal and a nice playground park for kids to explore and play. The peace pavilion has been closed every time I’ve been there though.
Nice little park to relax, enjoy the view and get some sea breeze. Next to the ferry station and the main building which hosts local markets frequently.
Very nice park in downtown Dartmouth, the area is very clean. There are many benches, litter cans and some play ground equipments for children. There is even a section of the park set aside for cancer survivors
It is a good place for the good views.
A fabulous and quiet place for an evening walk to see the lights of the harbour. Well lit and we felt very safe. It was not busy at all. It made us smile to hear the children playing on the jungle gym.
Amazing experience in the right of the heart of the city.
Really nice park and playground for kids
Its beautiful to see Halifax.
Great spot for a family walk with amazing views of Halifax. The playground is small but the ground is nice and padded in case of falls. Lots of picnic tables and benches as well.
Our favourite place to hit up when I have my boy with me. The playground is accessible year round with stunning views of the Halifax skyline. A wicked place to sit down and watch the sunset!v bonus points for the fact theres a time and bathrooms 1 minute away by foot. A huge advantage as a parent lol.
Awesome sunset scene to look in evening especially during summer
A definite must is checking out the Daffodil Garden for Cancer Survivors. A great place to reflect on your journey. Although its a tribute to those who have beaten cancer, and to their family and friends. But it is also not to take anything away from those who are no longer with us. Remember them in your hearts.
It is a great place, very peaceful and nice to walk, cycling etc. The views are amazing especially of the downtown Halifax on the other side. links to Ferry on both sides, Alderny gate and woodside.
Great playground for kids age 5 or older.Still good for younger kids, but they will need help from parents. All you need in walking distance (washroom, drinks,...)Could offer more shade.
I come to the ferry terminal often to get a coffee st Tims and sit in the newly renovated area over the tracks.Has phone charging plug in at the seats and good WiFi. Good place to relax
Fantastic. Need to have this ride if you coming to Halifax.
Clearly a great spot to watch Natal day fireworks!
New experience. Beautiful and lovely place
Cheap and clean. Great to land downtown Halifax at Historical properties. Lots going on there.
Great place to watch the Canada Fireworks. As close as one could get without being on a boat. The barge is much closer to this side than the Halifax side. Can really feel the explosion. Lots of dance music playing, with some truck vendors for food along with local restaurants.Only negative was, I saw dozens of teens smoking pot, and some probably 12-13 yrs old. And I had a 12 yr old with me.Lots of police around but being 2019, I guess thats not a concern.
The ferry was beautiful and clean on the inside. They had a presenter from the NB museum who had a display about local wildlife including whales, which was really interesting. They had a child care center and the girls running it were awesome, they did alot of crafts and entertained my 5year old. The ferry provided 2 movie choices pf movies and lots of sitting. There was food and alcohol options on board but we only got coffee, which was tasty. Overall it was a great crossover and I would take this ferry again or recommend it to anybody especially families who are crossing over to Nova Scotia. Thank you crew
A place you want to visit and look for a bench to seat and contemplate ocean ...so peaceful and quiet, in case you feel hungry there are some options to quick buy a light meal or beverages.
The terminal in Halifax is under going some renovations. The ferries are brand new. The trip was $2.50 round trip. Great experience.
Very quiet and peaceful park to sit and read or take the kids to the playground. Playground has 2 structures and works for smaller children and older children. Excellent view out of the harbour, and great ocean air as well. You can even stroll downtown and check out the shops or the market in the ferry terminal... All around a great place.
Nice little park..great views of the harbour and Halifax. Peace Pavillion located on the grounds and a good playground for kids. Near some really great restaurants and cafes close ,well within walking distance. Dog friendly but not off leash. Great place to sit and relax. On Saturday there is a farmers market inside the ferry . HRM should start paying attention to the Dartmouth side as well...lost potential for sure.
Lots of fun time for kids and family. Pirate activities loads of fun and bouncy castles.
Nice playground for the kids, great view points towards Halifax waterfront
Beautiful park, nice kids area, the pavilion needed a bit of upkeep, but great place for a picnic on the grass while you look at Halifax. I would recommend for travellers - take the ferry over and have lunch on the grass, then explore downtown Dartmouth and take the ferry back.
Beautiful, accessible park right on the waterfront. Parts are a bit close to traffic, so keep your four legged friend on a leash, but do enjoy a lovely walk here.
