Homely, cushion-strewn pub with colourful art, rustic wooden tables and a walled beer garden.
Beautiful pub, great for drinks with friends!
Nice pub with a chilled vibe and big garden.
We were using the function room upstairs, which is very pleasant. Staff were helpful. Good communication from the start. Nice beers. Good location. A good experience all round. Thank you Francois and the team.
Lovely pub. Great fish and chips but abysmal beer. Tried Estrella, Pravha and Peroni. Completely flat. Totally ignored when I flagged that gas may need changing. Nice pub but will not return.
Expensive but nice vibe in the pub. There is outdoor seating at the front and back end of the pub. Food is nice too.
Lovely local with a great outdoor area for the hotter summer days. Highly recommend!
Excellent service, great selection of beer, and amazing whitebait! 😋
Good pub, decent food, nice outdoor area
Gorgeous outside garden and great selection of beverages! Well done.
Food was so overpriced and bland. Ordered a plant burger and was given the chicken burger and told it was the plant burger. The ‘loaded fries’ were pathetically small and the mayo was so yellow from being left out in a pot all day. £13 for a burger without any sides and it was served on a cardboard tray without any napkins..
Lovely beer garden but the drinks are so overpriced. Had fun at the quiz night.
What an awesome venue for a 40th. Good value for food and wine and the dedicated barman was a delight. A very professonal stance from everyone involved. Thank you The Fentiman Arms.
Fabulous location and venue! Food was delicious and cocktails great value! Would definitely recommend for a summer evening out. James went above and beyond. Great service!
Nice pub I have been with my boy friend for the first time. The service was excellent.Zina was fantastic . She was very friendly. Her service was excellent. I really recommend this pub
We had a birthday party in the function room and the staff were extremly kind and helpful
Having booked, when we arrived none of the bar staff acknowledged us. We were eventually shown to our table in the garden which should have been in a skip as the top of the table was so wobbly and was clearly not set up for our booking. We were offered another table which was not much better. Neither were clean and we had smoke billowing in our faces from the burger bar. We were then given a table inside and ordered the house red at £24 which they did not have and we were offered an alternative for £27 but the waitress had to speak to the manager to see if the price could be matched… at which point we left. Shame because we’ve had good experiences in the past.
Lovely atmosphere, great food with some great ales and lagers. Definitely worth a visit.
We chose the Fentiman Arms to be the venue for our engagement drinks, and we couldnt have been happier with our decision. After considering around 30 venues and nearly settling for one that was in the wrong location, someone recommended this beautiful old pub, just a few minutes from Oval tube and 10 minutes from Vauxhall (so very handy for out-of-towners). Their private Refectory Room fits up to 70 standing, and unlike most other venues we went to visit, the pictures online are genuine. The room is beautifully decorated in a fun style with bright colours; its been well looked after and all the furniture was still in there, including the wing-backed chairs that gave it so much character. The bar was a good size for us (we were around 40 guests on the dayand Im sure would have worked well for larger groups. James met us when we arrived and quickly got us set up on the sound system, checked we were happy with the food arrangements and made sure that the ingredients for the cocktails we wanted could be transferred to our bar upstairs, so we could include them as part of our tab. Jasmine was really helpful with the drinks and made sure everyone had a glass of fizz for the speech. Everyone commented on how excellent the food was (although be warned, the platters are pricey! After we left to carry on the party at Brixton Jamm, the team at the Fentiman cleared everything up - balloons, bunting, the lot - and packed our gifts safely away until we could collect them the following week. Simply superb service; book with them, and you wont be disappointed.
Great food (I had beautifully cooked pink in the middle lamb), lovely interior and exterior decor and really nice drinks. Only issue I had...tables and bar area were all sticky! Bit better housekeeping and its a banger!!!
I was here for the first time and I was very impressed with the service and flexibility from one of your staffLuca make our visit special and unforgettableWe will definitely come here again because of him.
Gardens lovely, food is amazing, Sunday roasts are top notch, staff are very friendly, all round great pub
Had a great time, nice atmosphere. Everyone was super kind and in particular Luca who served us. Will come back for sure!
I came a week ago, luca served me, super helpful and nice, perfect service! I give five stars just for him, the food was ok but not the best.My Friends agree too!
Speak to Luca, the best waitor in London. I enjoy the vibe and he has very stylish glasses. Service was great.
Great service. Food was underwhelming. Was given wrong advice when ordering and ordered an unnecessary side dish. Nice pub, good for a drink , not food.
Wonderful pub with friendly staff and lovely beer garden. First came here 30 years ago when I lived on Fentiman Road!
Lively pub with a mainly young professional client group, friendly staff, a wide range of beers and wines and good food. Good atmosphere and a nice place to go just for a drink with a friend/friends or for an evening out
Having lived on the nearby Richborne Terrace, I can confidently say that this pub is really good. Worth a visit. You guys are an asset to the community.
Really nice clean sitting area, ideal to spend a sunny afternoon. Visited the place around 5:30, slightly quiet since my last visit, but the place was comfortable, affordable, and serves great food and beverages. Good value for the money. Highly recommend the outdoor area. Staff are extremely cheery, attentive and professional, which is always a pleasant experience when visiting. Keep up the good work guys.
Booked a table for two and requested restaurant on the booking, turned up table not ready, given one in the bar. I placed our orders, and the server read them back. Starters were lovely, then the mains came one was correct, the other a chicken pie for a lifelong vegetarian. They profusely apologised, but I ate while my partner watched, and they ate while I watched. The cost of the error was omitted from the bill, plus a discount, but these simple errors of even getting the order right, and actually being able to hear each other, if we were in the restaurant make me doubtful as to if well return... would you?
I like the Fentiman Arms. It has a good selection of drinks, a nice beer garden with good outdoor seating. Booking in advance is highly recommended as it can get busy.
Went for a roast here a few months back and it was absolutely delicious and were so excited to come back. However today we had a completely different experience despite ordering the same two dishes as last time. The roast dinners arrived absolutely swimming in gravy ( now i like gravy but this was far too much!and the veg and potatoes were soggy and tasteless. The lamb last time was on the bone, a large portion and lovely and this time wasn’t, portion was very small and fatty. The beef last time was tender and delicious but this time was very dry and chewy and there was barely any ox cheek served. The only saving grace was the Yorkshire puddings! We also waited ages for our wine which ended up being served after our food despite us prompting the staff. We were honest with the waitress about how we found our meal in comparison to the last but we were offered no compensation, then had to end up going to the bar to pay the bill as nobody came over at the end!Such a shame, food was amazing before.
£18.50 for a Rump Steak that was possibly the worst steak I have ever had.Served with a mountain of Rocket the Rump steak was extremely poor quailty, tough and fairly tastelessOn the upside, the beer selection is good. Just dont eat here unless you are too drunk to remember.
Great local pub with fab food. Dog friendly, lovely staff, lots of tables both indoors and out. Fun atmosphere, great place for a night out or just to meet for a drink.
Nice setting, with comfortable seats under a patio heater on the patio. Lovely Sunday roasts and excellent selection of beers and wine. Took forever to get served unfortunately - would have liked to try a dessert, but between the kitchen and overburdened wait staff it was a lost cause.
Lovely atmosphere but the food is absymal. I returned my lamb steak twice - it was inedible - and the bar staff even said "this pub isnt very good at food". This is in a pub where a lamb steak and fries costs £22. Thankfully they refunded my meal, but not my drinks. Id not recommend anyone to go here for food.
This is a decent pub, mostly for its location if nothing else. Beer selection is wide but no gems, outdoors is large but unremarkable. The niceness comes from it being in a quiet neighborhood, between the noise of Vauxhall / Nine Elms and Clapham Road. Food is decent but forgettable. Its decent and Ill go when Im next at the cricket.
Good range of beers on tap, good food offered as well. We stopped in for lunch and they offered a lighter menu as well as something more substantial for the hungrier in the group. Really well presented outdoor area in the back and a proper pub feel in the front. You could do a lot worse than this in London.
Had a great lunch between the innings at the cricket (the pub is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Oval). A large choice of good beers and tasty food (salmon salad and steak pie - lovely. Covered garden is a great place to sit.
Lovely tucked away pub with spacious seating inside and comfortable, covered outdoor seating. Highly recommend the burger for a main and cabbage as a side dish. Friendly customer service.
A very nice beer garden. Booking in advance is highly recommended as this is a really nice place. The outdoor seating is very good, with floral decorations and amazing lighting. There is an overhead covering so it is also perfect for a rainy day. The food here is good. The fries are especially good. The burger is average but we came here for the environment but not the food so we think it is acceptable. Good service and reasonable price.
Great pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The roast is epic and well worth the money!Ample beer garden with plenty of seating and cover from the sun/rain.The Bloody Marys are highly recommended.
Nice cover beer garden with lamp heat, veggie burger or beef both are good quality. Price a bit up but no too crazy. I enjoyed my evening there. Good environment, 100% recommend.
My son took me for my Birthday meal yesterday, the plant burger was fantastic and the staff were friendly and attentive also the pub is super clean and I also felt very safe sitting inside
What can I say about this pub? My wife Karren loves it, the garden is almost a perfect rectangle, the roast is reasonably great. But most importantly, the sticky toffee pudding reminds me of a square xmas cake. 5 stars
Great atmosphere. Nice staff. Good food and service. Perfect place to have a comfortable evening with your friends. Dog friendly. Love going back there with my dogs. Strongly suggested
The building is really lovely, and the interior is fab - with the different sections and little bits on the walls and stuff - staff are all really good too.Would only go back at a really quiet time as when i went the other guests were obnoxiously loud, rude, and selfish - people who stand in front of doors then act offended when they need to move.
A nice pub with a generally happy atmosphere but maybe pot luck with the bar staff. Some seem really friendly but a couple were very very slow to serve and didnt keep check on who to serve next. The food is nice enough but quite pricey. The outdoor area closes early with some perfunctory staff herding you inside but I guess the neighbours get chippy about the noise so fair dos. Anyway not a bad place overall but lots of nicer pubs to choose from in my opinion.
Watched a soccer game here. Pretty crowded but in a good way. Got some good food while watching the game.Outside & inside screens.Tip for tourists apparently reserving a table is a common ting in England. Dont be surprised if all tables are reserved.Would watch a game here often.Cant judge for having a drink or meal but it looks good
Spacious but with traditional pub feel. Good range of beers and amazing food. And doesnt charge London prices so smiles all round.
