Fawcett Park in Lismore

A beautiful place to get the feel of the river. Fishing, dog walking,bike riding, great playground that is fenced off for safety of your child. Coffee and ice-cream nearby to enjoy. Restrooms at back of restaurant and plenty of grass and seats for picnics. Wonderful sunsets in the evening.

Lovely footpath for a walk. Need care along the waters edge. Has a decent kids playground for small kids and shaded gazebos with bench seats and a bbq closeby.

Great little park for the kids to play, or to relax with some fish and chips. The river is a good place for fishing for Bream and others in season.

Lovely spot by the river, brekky, lunch, or dinner and drinks at the riverside cafe, then a walk along the river, and a big playground for the kids.

Great place to watch the sun set. We got some fish and chips from the amazing "a fish shop called dory" (you must goand ate our afternoon snack whilst waiting for the sun to set. Not very scenic during the day, but nice at sunset

Gated playground but loos at a distance and very limited parking (shh .. ice cream shop across the street tho!next to the river.

Nice spot for kids. I wish there was a park next to this for teenagers. Cyclists should not have to dismount in front of cafes or restaurants... the foreshore is for everyone.

I enjoy coming to this place. Good for families. Shops close by. There is a Woolworths around the corner and short stroll to Main Shopping street and Jetty. There is free parking, BBQ in the park, Public Toilets and undercover sitting area for general public. Beautiful views of river water. Its a busy location sometimes. Your children will love this place as there are swings and slides with secured fence around.

We dined on a feast from the co op, in the waterfront. Good amenities block and allowed alcohol.

Fancy place, resto around the place with good food. Kids love the park and rides.

Great park for kids and very handy due to close by cafes and icecream shop. My son really enjoyed.

It’s a beautiful park with a stunning view of rebates, great for kids and parent who are looking to just have great day.If you sit there and watch the sun set it’s stunning perhaps the most stunning colours when the sun goes down, also if you are lucky enough you would get a glimpse of some dolphins going past catching fish.Plenty of cafes restaurants and parking around the area. If I had to move to Balina I would live there as there are few apartment blocks

I do quite adore these foreshore parks, and this one is really no exception. Well, it probably isnt one of the best that I have seen, though since Ballina is actually on a river as opposed to the ocean, then this is more of a riverside park than a foreshore park. The other thing is that since it is behind the main street you really only get the back on the shops, though there are a couple of cafes and restaurants here.

Seagulls as well begging for food.Great facilitites for Families as a playground, benches to seat all and public toilets.Shops close by and eateries even closer.Ballina RSL is a short stroll as is Woolworths.

Great spot near the water. Lucky enough to see dolphins swimming a couple of meters away. Usually grab a pizza and have dinner there

The park is located next to Richmond river and walking distances to shops.Ideal place to watch sunrise or sunset or even go for a walk.

Fawcett Park sits beside the Richmond River at Ballina, parallel to River Street, the main thoroughfare the main shopping precinct, is great for a walk along the riverside, or a good lunch spot. Originally, through the late nineteenth century, this area hosted several wharves, bringing vital supplies and passengers to the expanding local townships.

Average park by Ballina council standards (Good). Well maintained grassy area great for a picnic, decent playground and an average amount of covered seating. Theres also a wide, paved path going along the river.

Great place to stop chat let the kids have a play. Coffee shops close by. Toilets only in near by shops i believe.

Nice little park along side the river. Sometimes the tables are not clean, but on a sunny day the grass is just as good. Some good cafes and take away shops nearby, including ice cream.

Good park in a nice location on the river. Easy parking close by and a few tables to have a picnic or takeaway lunch.

As with most of Ballina, this place is pretty relaxing. Grab some Sushi or chips and just enjoy the river side. There is a reasonably sized playground at the top end along with a Woolworths if you wanted to self cater a picnic.
