Fatz Cafe in Greeneville

First time there, good food, our waitress was very kind to us and others in her section. Sh deserves a promotion or raise.

The Clayton State University Men’s Basketball team had a great experience. We ate there two days. Our waitress Michelle was amazing and provided top of the line service! Thank you Michelle!

My wife and I had a bad experience with the Greeneville Fatz a few months back. We had takeout, and were very disappointed in the quality of our meals, so much, that I was compelled to write a review titled "Worst meal in Greeneville". Well a few days after, I received a call from the new general manager, Bobby. He was very disturbed by the review, and assured me that the next time we came would be a better dining experience.We returned on a recent Friday night, and we both were pleasantly surprised. The food was much better. I got the Calabash chicken, which is great, and my wife got grilled chicken on a salad. Tiffany the floor manager came to see if we had a better experience, and Ronnie our server was awesome. I also heard that there was a new kitchen manager. Nice job, Fatz. Keep it up.I understand how hard it is to make good affordable food these days. I hope this restaurant continues to improve. We dont have a lot of great options here in Greeneville, and I hope Fatz continues to be a good option.

I havent been able to eat much of the menu, but the battered chicken is pretty good. Service was good, nothing special about the atmosphere. Overall a good experience.

Excellent meal. Excellent service. And, exceptional sides. I was very pleased plus the price was appropriate.

We just left there. Great food, great service (thanks to our waitress Sarah)!! The ribs, wings and tots plate was delicious!! Wife had fish and popcorn shrimp and it was great also! All the staff was so friendly! Highly recommend

My daughter and I ate at Fatz for the first time last week. We were VERY impressed not only with the food but our server Michelle; As a former waitress myself many years ago I was thrilled to have a server like Michelle especially in this society today. She could and should in my opinion teach public service courses. She made our first impression so memorable at Fatz we are planning the next outing there when our family visits next week. She truly validates you as a customer in the restaurant. Any one can say we appreciate you but only a server who really does makes you feel appreciated; Otherwise, those are just words with no effort.I think that Fatz cafe in Greeneville Tennessee should consider there selves lucky to have such a wonderful server. After realizing it was our first visit she wanted us to know some Fatz history and what it was famous for as far as the Menu goes. She truly made our first visit there so enjoyable. Unlike the first and only visit of a competitor in town who’s name I won’t mention but I think it starts with an A. When my husband and I visited there and said it was our first time it fell upon deaf ears so to speak; it didn’t matter to anyone from the host to the server and the experience there was and will be the ONLY one. I wish that there were more servers in the restaurant industry like Michelle. She is a true asset.

This place never lets me down. I typically dine in, but ordered to-go today and it was on point! The lady at the door was so helpful, the to go person was awesome! This place needs more stars. 5 is not enough!!!

the food was 3-4 stars but the service i received a week before last easily 5 stars by the waitress Ms. Sarah was spot on with service.

Excelant service, ribs were fall off the bone, chicken was crispy and juicy, chopped steak was tender and very tasty. All sides were perfect

Enjoyed our meal. Fried green tomatoes on creamy grits with a chipotle sauce was very tasty. Generous portion of crispy fish and chips were good. Our server, Sydney was great!

I have to say that I had talk my husband into eating at Fatz Cafe in Greeneville, TN because of poor service and food in a different town. Greeneville Fatz cafe has great food and service. The staff is wonderful too. Please dont judge Greeneville,TN by other Fatz Cafes. They dont conpare!

Probably the worst pot roast I have ever had. Nothing like the one in Elizabethton. This one was one big chunk of meat, mostly fat and onions. I sent it back and it was not any better. Ever time I’ve gotten it it’s is shredded with carrots and not one chunk. Please cooks, take a lesson from the Elizabethton Fatz.

This was my husband and I first time here and it was a very pleasant surprise. There was no wait, the waitress was delightful, and the food was delicious! When we asked if they offered a military discount, the management came out to thank my husband, then gave a generous discount. The pricing was fair, and the restaurant was clean.

Took a while to get seated. You cant go wrong with their salads though.

We just moved here and needed a good sit down place with a good atmosphere to relax. Found it ! Food was HOT 🔥 delicious, and big portions. What made our experience exceptional was our Server Sam, will return just because of his exceptional customer service ! Actually smiled and made the best Long Island Ice Teas, and Im a connosuer of Long Islands. Exceptional! Thank you again Sam.See you again

Stopped in for the first time today. Clean, family friendly and fast. Good sized portions. Everything we got was good! We’ll be back!

Food was so 🤢 disgusting. My daughter ordered chicken Alfredo and they gave her fried chicken over pasta with gravy sauce. The food was super greasy. The salad was filled with brown rotten pieces of lettuce. The only saving grace was Our waitress she was very apologetic. Don’t eat here!

My server Rachel was an absolute delight. The best server that I ever had. She was sweet and went above and beyond! Will definitely be coming back

Joanna was the best! Welcoming, remembered our names, drinks were perfect. It’s changed a lot over the years, glad to see the service is still top notch!

Always greeted at the door at Fatz, feels like a neighborhood joint- can depend on above standard food and above standard service in a safe, clean, inviting environment. I’ve got to mention, Joanna the bartender- who aside from being an ENTIRE VIBE, paid exceptional attention to details, mixes exceptional drinks and delivers a first class bar experience that may surprise you to find in a chain restaurant. I was here a few nights ago, my server Rachel Parker was absolutely amazing. She was on top of it with refills she was fast with bringing anything i asked for. She made my experience 10x better.

My waitress Rachel was amazing. The food was good as always and we had everything we needed. We never had to ask for refills because Rachel took care of everything for us. Highly recommend fatz and Rachel to anyone!!

Cant say enough good things about our waitress Joanna! She was so kind and FAST! We didn’t wait more than a couple minutes for anything and she had the biggest smile I’ve ever seen! The food was excellent and we can’t wait to go back!!

I try to come eat here as long as Rachel is my waitress. She’s the best in the business for sure. She gives off great energy and is the sweetest. She no matter what makes sure everything is tasting good and if I need anything. I never have to wait for her to come over cause she always makes great timing. I would prefer her for anyones waitress for sure. She’s straight 💯

I do believe the rolls will melt in your mouth. My server, Joanna, was simply an angel placed from heaven. I think she went to Jesus personally and harvested these taters that they made the "fries" out of. And the steak...have you ever tasted melted butter with meat?!?!? Holy hell! Keep up the great work! Ill be back!

I went to Fatz twice in the past month while driving back and forth from Georgia to see family. Both times, I experienced exceptional service and got delicious food. The portions were huge, especially compared to the prices. The new sauces are fantastic!Both times, I sat at the bar and was served by Joanna, who was incredible. She was attentive without being annoying, friendly without being weird, and kept our drinks topped off. She even sold me some dessert I wasn’t planning on getting, because she was so nice (and right!about that cobbler.Fatz has come UP in the past few years—highly recommend!

Food was horrible. Wait was stupid rediculous and they werent even busy. Waitress was decent but could have been a little more tentative especially when she only had a couple tables. This is the third try with this location hoping it would get better and will definitely be the last because each time has gotten worse

My girlfriend and I shared an amazing double date with our friends here at this Fatz. The food was excellent and our waiter, Michelle, was attentive and genuinely friendly as she checked in with us over the course of our dinner. She made the night a joy, so please, ask for her anytime you come here!

This was a great family restaurant. You get your moneys worth. Our waitress Michelle was most excellent she was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this place and wish there was one in Iowa.

Had a wonderful experience with my wife yesterday at fatz! They have some of the best calabash chicken that we have had also the best waitress we have ever came across and we eat at a lot of restaurants! So if you get a chance to eat here try the calabash chicken and make sure to ask for a waitress named Michelle she is something else! We didnt have to ask for a thing, our drinks never went below half way before she was back with more! Excellent food and service!

Do not get the fish and chipsFish was very mushy worst bland coleslaw ever we thought we had covid nooo taste to it at all. Service was ok but for $60 for 2 not going back for these items ....beer was cold and goodPoppy seed rolls hot and good

The service is amazing! The staff is friendly, fast, and super helpful. The food is always out with a quickness & always tastes amazing! The togo staff is very helpful and always gets my food right even with my most complicated orders! 10/10 recommend

The server we had was absolutely amazing. The food was fresh and hot. Our server made sure the kids food came out fast and FIRST. He made our experience here that much better.

I would definitely give this restaurant a 10 if could. Overall best ever, fresh home cooked food, great quality...quantity and the price is great,even the waitstaff was terrific. Not many places left like this one. Want a delicious meal ,great everything then this is the place!!!!

Picked up an order to go. Well I will be the first to say there are few very few, good restaurants in greeneville tn. However I always considered Fatz to be “one of the best ones in town” but today I noticed the broccoli casserole “which I always loved” had changed mostly big, big broccoli hard tops and cheese. Used to be that it was chopped up and tasted like casserole. The potatoes tasted like instant and were runny. The rolls were good still except 3 of the six rolls I received were hard as a rock and I mean hard. I had asked for southern chicken breast with saw mill gravy and it was decent; even though I asked to leave gravy off and it was smothered in it. The cheese fries have dropped in quality as well. That cheese sauce don’t cut it. Maybe because prices have skyrocketed the restaurants have started cutting corners to save; but since our prices have risen I expect at least the same quality and get what I pay for. I couldn’t eat potatoes at all nor the hard rolls. For 60.00 I feel quality should have been better. Fatz normally would have been a 5 stars until today. I have noticed most all restaurants in Greeneville’s food quality has diminished. I’m getting so I would rather cook at home and save my money.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch here. We had some great rolls with cinnamon butter followed by an appetizer of fried green tomatoes on cheesy grits. I had the fried chicken breast fillets and my wife had the chicken fried steak. Both were great! Very friendly staff and just a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Had a very good meal and great service. Another thing I truly like is the restaurant manager comes to every table and asks how your experience is. Then takes a few minutes to just visit with you. Outstanding, I have to say.

We both got salads. Everything else on the menu was fried. The salads were good, bug, and had lots of vegetables. One of the servers had a child on her hip. Seemed a little lite on the servers and we waited a long time for ours to return so we could get more water, and again to get our check. Nice atmosphere.

Took my hubby for bithday dinner we had the most amazing waitress named sarah the food was great thank you for the good experience in a restaurant we have never been to before. And to sarah you were a great waitress thank you

In town for a football camp and catching a minor league game, stopped here for supper. Seated immediately, was take of by Celina, who was very friendly and accommodating. Loaded cheese fries to start were yummy. We had an array of food from Sirloin to chicken fingers to ribs and everything was delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Awesome food the chicken is a must!! the loaded potato soup totally worth it but the best for me was the roils! with cinnamon butter.Clean family restaurant with side bar very friendly staff.Defiantly coming back.

The food was good and the prices were good as well. The service was great and the place was clean. The rolls were AWESOME!

Stopped in to try out someplace different. We were floored with the flavor. Every thing we had was just about perfect. The waitress said that the rolls were addictive, and she did not lie. We have found our new favorite place for date night.

First time here visiting from Florida and we loved itttttttt. The tomato soup , crispy wings along with my trio ( steak , chicken and grilled shrimp was awesome . Service is great and prices are reasonable .

The food was good, the restaurant was clean, and Wes was an amazing server. The price is a somewhat expensive for what you get. The portions are a little on the small side for the price. Im not sure this place will be on the top of my list in the future. I did like the French fry seasoning alot.
