Fatrar Char in Barisal
Description
Privilege
Awesome place to visit for a jungle vibe. Its totally feels like deep in the Sundarban Forest. The biggest mangrove forest in the world. Just need to be careful dont roam around without a proper guidance or a guide. Anyone who loves forest will definitely love this place.
MoreA tiny part of Sundarban, one can enjoy beach and forest at the same time visiting here.
MoreIts really a good place to hangout with friends and families, you can walk through the swamp forest full of natural elements and so on
MoreIts like a Sundorbon. There are many trees and rain forests here. We came here for 200 taka Charge.I am not sure wild animals here.
MoreMost underrated place to visit.
This place is so beautiful and adventures.
Reserve place for red crab and turtles! Beautiful jhouban!!
Most beautiful place but dont go alone
The place was ok-ok, nothing special. This place slightly looks like shundor bon. But personally liked it just because of we enjoy the journey. We spent 1400 taka & personally booked the whole Trolar.
MoreThis is an excellent place to visit. Everyone should take a tour to Fatrar Char to take the flavour of Sundarban. You can go there from kuakata seabeach. Take a ticket from ticket counters. Each will cost 250-300 taka. Ensure of your package that they are showing. Scenery on way is amazing. You can see fox and even if you are lucky you can watch pigs and wild chickens elsewhere.Government should take care of the areas where they have announced it as reserved forest. Sometimes local people arrange picnic which makes pollution and irritating for the wildlife of the fatrar char.
MoreI have visited this place twice . Those who has not seen small island or have never been to Sundarbon, can go to have a flavour. Otherwise not much to see. Additionally, visitor must know, to get to troller, they have to use a small boat and need to wear slippers, so that they don’t get wet. Also use loose pants which can be lifted above knee.
MoreThis is one of the part of the historical mangrove forest (Sundorbon). We took a 45 min (approx.boat ride. Boats conditions was not so bad. I was able to manage the ticket by BDT 200 (USD 2.4for round trip.It took 45 min to reach the destination. The journey was quite good, the sea was gentle, enjoyed the journey. Then after reaching the Fatrar chor, we started to walk, but the location was not so extra ordinary, but yes you can see a lot of root of sundori tree which they use to take CO2 from air (so far I know). You can took some picture there. But the most interesting and good part of this short trip was journey by boat.During the back to kuyakata, it was sunset time. The environment was so good, sun ray was reflected on the water, the sea seems like sea gold 🙂.
MoreExcellent place.. Love this❤️❤️
Usually Youll like it.
Fatrar Char is located near the Kuakata Sea Beach. There are lots of mangrove trees. We had reserved a boat for visiting there. The fare of the whole boat was 3400/- BDT. 20 to 30 passengers can easily travel with this boat. It started its journey from Alipur Boat Stand. It went through the river first and then entered into the sea. It took about 50 minutes to reach Tengragiri boat stand. For entering into the mangrove forest, we had to first walk through with a wooden trail. Then we reached into the deep forest which is besides the sea. You may enjoy sea beauty from forest.
MoreOfficially known as Tengragiri Eco Park. It is a common destination of the tourists visiting Kuakata. The forest is naturally mangrove and has the similar appearance of the Sundarbans.

MoreThis is a very amazing place for recreation. I like these place.
The Tengragiri mangrove forest is one of the rich forest patch present in Bangladesh. Being mangrove, it has a number of canals, some of which are accessible by boat. Though the forest environment is in a good condition so far, the Ecotourism is not facilitated in that manner. The visitors can enjoy the boat trip with local fishing engine boat. The forest is just beside the sea shore, so people can enjoy the sunset from the beach. Must keep in mind to bring enough food before starting journey, if you want to visit the place.
MoreBeautiful and nice place that helps our mind and health. This place is very quite. Everybody can visit this place. To get here, you have to move from Kuakata by the trailer. And the trawler travels by sea is incredible and exciting. Once upon a time I visit this place with my friend circle and enjoy everybody. This place is at once quiet and serene. There are a lot of trees here and each tree is very large, but there are no fruit trees. In essence, this is called a small forest. There is a rest. There are several shops. As a result, the light snack can be rectified.
MoreThis fatrar cor is very famous place in kuakata.
The last southern border of Bangladesh. After the affect of "AILA" there have been manual forestation and a good number of trees grow to make it a reserve forest by department of forestry, Bangladesh. Many visitors came here during pick season and most of them found "nothing to see"! But the area has something to feel, I better to say had someting to fell. Visitors should be restricted to make the area natural.
MoreVery unique place. One will be able to taste the Sundarban, the largest Mangrove forest in the world while visiting Kuakata.
