Fathead Steve’s Food Truck provided the food on our son’s wedding for 200+ guests. They did an EXCELLENT job! Everyone raved about how delicious the food was! We highly recommend them!

Excellent food and a large patio area! We got the fried avocado appetizer followed by the duck and greens and the Vietnamese pork nachos. Everything was so good and made with very fresh ingredients! The nacho chips were definitely homemade and the fried duck was crispy juicy perfection. Topped off with rich, spicy bloody Marys, it was a great meal. The staff was friendly and helpful, even unlocking the side gate so we could get our stroller through to the outdoor seating, to avoid bringing our new baby inside during the pandemic. Highly recommend!

Delicious chicken bacon ranch wrap was huge. Didnt need the yummy fries I ordered but ate them anyway. Awesome staff.

Great place to watch live music and grab a bite in the outdoor seating! Very friendly atmosphere and staff are great. The food is delicious and there is a good variety on the menu. Definitely a must if you like live music.

Was at a kids soccer outing and Fathead Steves food truck was there!! Was my first time eating their food and I was very impressed!! I had a Cubano and pickle fries, the sandwich was one of the best ones Ive had. Great job!!

Great small bar. Perfect for the people that dont like a lot of people in that crowded atmosphere. I love the aesthetic they have, I love the tacos on Monday, and I like that the bartenders know a variety of drinks.

Came a little late so we missed out on regular food and had to go with the "fried " food menu 😃. Awesome. Fries, pickles, avocados, cheese curds, green beans, poppers, and then some more...awesome again. Great service great prices and the drinks top shelf

Love this place! The food is outrageously delicious and fresh! Love the Vietnamese pulled pork as either a sandwich or they will make it on spring greens if you’re gluten free or just trying to fight off scurvy. The duck on spring greens is delectable, crispy, tender, moist with the most delicious mustard vinaigrette! Although this sounds like it could be served in a pretentious Parisian bistro, Paul , one of the owners, is down to earth and loves to make (the world’ best!cheese curds and BBQ pulled pork. There is literally something here for everyone. It’s a bar with a fun atmosphere but the food is really special and the staff is even more special. Ordered food for some people at work today and was told it was the best Cubano they ever had. The Vietnamese pulled pork was also incredible. Great service too!

They were willing to accommodate our large Christmas party group with very short notice. I stayed in touch with the cook Will and he was very nice and responsive throughout the entire process. All large groups can be chaotic but the staff was so nice dealing with us and I don’t think it could have gone better. The food was amazing and we were given great service.

Hands down best lunch spot in town! Every dish was tasty and mouth watering. Highly recommend.

Had a great lunch experience here. Very good food and such nice, professional employees. John welcomed us and even took the time to hunt for a hat for us. We enjoyed duck on a salad and a Vietnamese pork sandwich. Definitely check out this gem.

Beer and food selection is decent, but I was really disappointed that my $5 order of onion rings consisted of a total of 5 onion rings. 5 onion rings is what I would expect a side for a kids meal to be, not a full appetizer order.

Jim makes the best nachos we have had in years! We had the Vietnamese nachos, and were very surprised to find out he had just made the chips right before he made our nachos. I would find out when Jim works and order whatever he recommends!

These guys were catering a wedding tonight and what an awesome job. Very quick keeping up with the guest flow and a great variety of offerings. Great friendly group of people working as well. Highly recommend any chance you get to try them out. You will not be disappointed!

If there is anyplace that you want to get outside the box pub fare, Fathead Steves is the place. Always welcoming and friendly, Fathead Steves initially started as a food truck (Still goingand now has a brick & mortar establishment. The Chorizo burrito, Cubano, and Vietnamese Pulled Pork are personal favorites. 😋

Best dive bar in town. Staff is always friendly, and the food! Take advantage of the specials, especially burger night on Thursdays. The Vietnamese pulled pork any other day. I haven’t had a thing on the menu that wasn’t fantastic. Live music on Wednesdays.

I had a late lunch here with a couple friends. I really liked the tender melt, as well as the Jalapeño poppers and pickle fries. Great service as well!

My husband and I were driving past a little fair going on in Onalaska. Fathead Steves truck was there. We got a cubano sandwhich with cheesecurds. Absolutely delicious. It was enough to share and totally satisfying. The prices were very reasonable and Steve had a smile on his face the whole time he was serving people. You can tell he really loves what he does. We just found out he has a restaurant and will be going to order their very soon.

My boyfriend and I were looking for late night eats. We stumbled across Fathead Steves. He had the chorizo burrito and I the Cubano. They make their own in house mustard I wish I could took a bottle home with me. They also make their own chorizo. Them fires were fire!!Next time I am in town I be coming back!!Thanks for a wonderful dinner!!!

Best Cuban sandwich we’ve ever had! We’ve always come to this location over the course of different ownerships and Fathead Steve’s is doing good things with it. The owner served us and seemed like a really cool guy. The whole staff was super nice. Definitely a go-to place for us!

The Ambiance is great. I can understand why people are hesitant to visit because it didnt take the place of a very well-loved Olde bar, and that hole still exists in some people. My heart is included in that list, I will always miss the old place. Missing the old place however should not in any way demonize the current business... Fathead Steves is a great bar! Its well kept clean and it has a very efficient and fun staff. Its nice and open, and still has a pleasant menu. Please give this place a chance if you have been holding out because of memories of the old... It was very well stands on its own, and should be respected as such.My one lasting criticism is that they do not know the breed of dog that gave the name and logo to the place. They say hes a mutt and I understand that, but for dog lovers it would probably be good to have some more info!

Food is always great! Tried about everything on the menu I enjoy the Vietnamese Pork sandwich and the classic Prime Rib Philly melt...cheese curds have a great twist too!

Special of the day was these little tacos and they were flavorful! Sat at the bar was able to watch the cook do his magic and the young lady behind the bar was conversational and very polite! All in all great first visit and the price for a freshly cooked lunch was quite reasonable!! I recommend trying this out!

I travel a ton to LAX for work and will be ordering from here every trip. Got the pulled pork and it was awesome. ORDER THE PICKLE FRIES. Reg fries are frozen (I thinkand the pickle fries stole the show. Well done Steve!

I had the prime rib philly melt and it was delicious. My wife got a Vietnamese pulled pork sandwich which was also really good. I loved the pickle fries, definitely try them. If Im ever in la crosse again I would come back for sure

Ordered delivery via EatStreet, and OH MY WORD. I have never had their food before and Im a fan now. It got here in less than twenty minutes after ordering, and was still so hot that the FRIES. BURNED. MY MOUTH. Im incredibly impressed. 10/10 also very affordable!

I want to start by saying, Ive never been a fan of food trucks. To me, they come off as less clean, or lower quality. Boy was I wrong.I took a shot at going to the food truck with some co-workers, and I was blown away. All of their food is amazing, and I really enjoyed the brick and mortar quality of food. Its not just a burger, its quality meat!I came out to read the reviews, and I am immediately a fan of the way management follows up on issues. Honesty is always better than passing the blame, or sucking up to a customer that was wrong.

We went to Fathead Steves for the Packer Game and enjoyed delicious Bloody Marys, had a delicious omelet and philly melt. Our daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed their pizza. We all shared what I would call "the BEST french fries Ive ever eaten in my life! " The service was friendly and fast. Everything was clean. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant has delicious and authentic flavors from any food genre. I had a chorizo burrito and southwest quesadillas. They were fantastic. I look forward to the Prime Rib Philly on my next trip.The bar is well stocked with a good selection and variety of beverages. Good atmosphere, nice people, and plans for live music in the works.Check this place out now, in its fledgling phase. Then be around as it grows.
