I hadn’t been here since 2019. It was so pleasant to come back this summer and have Bugg as my bartender. He was so friendly and made the best drinks that I even tried to get him to come work where I work, too… because he is so great! We go here weekly for pizza, drinks, and live music. Out of all of ketchikan, this is where we chose to come the day we got engaged to be with friends and dance to the Wednesday night music by Joe & Collin. When family comes to visit, they always want a bloody Maria from fat Stan’s. Some of our best summer memories are because of the people that work at fat stans!

If you want to eat there go for it, if you want drinks stay away! The “lady” bartender was snapping at the patrons, ignoring others and reminding others that “this is an island “ and they’re being too complicated. The things got a bit tense when a guy from Israel (who’s English is obviously not the first language), wanted drinks to go…she started shouting that it’s the law that drinks need to be consumed indoors and escalated it to the point when everyone went uncomfortably quiet. I get it, things get a bit stressful when tourists swarm your bar but please don’t be rude to them just because their English is worse than yours.

Great Bloody Marys. Food service is a little slow during their busy hours.

Went for wings. Found out they were out of wings and all pork products. Waited a long time for our food while the workers continually yelled at each other across the room. Not a lot of food

Amber was amazing! She had a full bar and managed to give great service while catting with her customers and keeping a smile on her face. Oh, and the Bloody Mary was great, too!

Ill start with the fact that the pizza was good!But service was not at all, and the people who makes the pizza have very bad hygienes,something Ive noticed only after we left our table.

Good drink and a fun place to eat. Worth the stop for Duck Farts and Bloody Marys.

They have the best bloody Mary’s in town, love their drinks. I normally love their food but we ordered pizza for take out and I was very disappointed. One of the pizzas was wrong and they were all burnt, bad enough to where they tasted gross.

I love this place. The pizza is delicious and the drinks are strong. I just had a really great time today at the bar. Amber is an awesome bar tender, fun and friendly. She made our delicious lunch even better.

We wanted to finally eat local while we were in Alaska and this was our chance, we were definitely happy with our choice.You know how we are, the name drew us to it, we had to try it. They had several local beers to try and a full bar that offered a drink called Duck Fart!We ordered a wings and a calzone. They were both amazing! The wings were juicy and full of flavor. The calzone was a tasty pizza and wrapped up in a crispy crust and a soft inside. The place was packed, so if you go be patient, but know, its worth the wait. Great restaurant and atmosphere, always support local!

Pizza is amazing, ambiance is amazing, service is friendly. Today may have been a fluke, but my shoomer add bacon pizza had multiple black burt chard areas scattered all over the bottom of the crust. They may have hired new help for the busy tourist season or maybe the oven was running a little hot today. But this definitly took a toll on my willingness to get another pizza during busy season. Ill still give 5 stars cause one screw up doesnt deserve a missing star. But I hope more attention is paid to the crust. I still ate the whole pizza but something was definitely differant today from all the other times I have been here and had non burnt crust.

It seems unusual at first that there arent servers. If you want a drink you have to go to the bar and wait there like anybody else. Separately, you go to a different counter to orde and pay for your pizza. Once you understand that, its easy and relaxed. A lot of locals go there. The pizza is excellent!

Even though they were busy, Workers were courtes, and seem to be on top of orders coming in. And getting them cooked and back to customers.

Itll be 6 years this year since I was in Ketchikan and I still rave about Fat Stans pizza. Hands down the #1 pizza Ive eaten in my life. Youve got to try it! 🤌

Small place but great vibe and great food, if youre tired of people trying to beat you over the head with salmon this is a nice break, getcha a stanwich or a pizza!

Tried the wood-fired greenie pizza and added jalapenos. It was darn good. A thin style homemade dough and lots of the wood smoke flavor. Be prepared for a wait though, the kitchen is tiny.

Creative and delicious pizzas, nice selection of local brews, and a fun atmosphere. Visited after the cruise ships left and felt like a really fun local hang out.

Best pizza I have had in Ketchikan and probably anywhere. Top of the line ingredients, skilled chefs and bartenders. Menu is fabulous, try the no name pie and the big boy stromboli. Great bar seletion

Craig is phenomenal. The bloody Marys are da bomb! But the watermelon martini will entice ur senses beyond belief. It is delish and there is no watermelon in it. Craig is personable, energetic and lots of fun hang out with. He turned a dismal rainy day into sunshine. The pizza is pretty damn good too. I recommend making it point to stop by here if ever in Ketchikan Alaska, u wont b disappointed.

Delicious pizza at a reasonable price. They regularly offer daily deals such as a 16" pizza and pitcher of beer for 35$.Worth checking out for sure especially to grab a beer!

Definitely the best pizza in Ketchikan, great selection of wines, great cocktails and OBVIOUSLY the best bartenders you could ask for! Great place where you can relax comfortably and enjoy yourself with minimal drama (which is not always the case in Alaskan bars!).

Pizza is awesome, very tasty! Europeans, you should know that they dont serve coffee in bars in USA! Got Martini instead of coffee, ha ha :)

I love coming here after work to hang out with friends and eat Stan’s delicious pizza! The two pizzas I crave the most from here are the Palmer and/or the Three Little Pigs. Just get them both and eat the rest the next day.. or two, but please make sure you get an extra side of ranch. This ranch is special.. I’m not usually a “ranch” person, personally I fall more on the hot sauce side of the scale, but their ranch is super thick (apparently it is sour cream based), so it’s more like a ranch “spread” and they even have a spicy ranch version with tapatio hot sauce thrown into the mix (you know, for when I feel like I’m betraying my hot sauce heritage because I’ve been eating so much pizza with ranch). It’s just a great place, very much a local hangout. I love Fat Stan’s!

Pizza Pizza Pizza !! In this town can be a challenge.....Not here at Berth 1 next to Lumberjack show. Great sauce and flavor .Locals and Seasonals love this Bar for a great Pub atmosphere. Alaska style of course...

Great place for lunch. Small so hard to get in when cruise ships are in town but worth the wait. Large selection of local beers and the pizzas are incredible. Very good service. Overall most impressive.

Have been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. There can be a wait for food at times but it is always worth it. Staff is always friendly, beer cold, drinks on point and great location. While all the cooks are good, Les is the best, he knows his pizza and has great suggestions as to toppings, which is great. Give it a go, you will enjoy it!

I had the personal size Alaskan Pizza, it was really great and the atmosphere was nice as well. The food is ordered separately from the bar on the other side of the restaurant so that is something to keep in mind if you visit. The place also has a very unique selection of beers on tap. Also, they have daily nightly specials which are a great value.

We visited here on 9/22 /17. I would give it 5 stars but the bartender (femalewas Hella rude...to everyone! And the pizza crust was brurnt, both times. However, the pizza was amazing nonetheless, as the cruise director had advised. So much so we ordered one to go to take on the cruise ship. The pizza staff was very friendly and accommodating, but could have done better by not burning underside of crust...twice. LOL. We ordered Bloody Marys and Ive had better. If it wasnt for the pizza I would not revisit this place or given the establishment 4 stars, but it really was a nice treat after eating ship food for 4 days!

On the one hand, this establishment offers the best pizza in town. On the other hand, owner Bradley D. Stewart, the obese man Fat Stans is named after, exhibits anal explosive behavior, is rude and abusive to locals, and insults customers for no reason whenever he feels like it. His employees are nice, Jordan, for example, always made you feel at home; however, it should come as no surprise that she and other of his female employees have left and no longer work there, and that many formerly loyal year-round customers no longer patronize this business (also known as Wines International Ltd). Therefore, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
