Farmacy - Vegan restaurant in Bonga, Ethiopia
Great space. Very accommodating to a variety of dietary allergies and preferences. Delicious food. Very friendly staff. Wonderful experience and I look forward to getting to go back!
We arrived at 5:31pm. It was 5:56pm before a waiter came to take our order. The food was nice enough, although the mushroom tacos could have been less full and better presented. They were definitely not worth the price. The sticky toffee pudding was well presented and absolutely delicious, but it was very small for the price. But then this is a restaurant in Westbourne Grove so maybe thats to be expected. We werent happy that a discretionary tip was added to our bill considering the poor service we received. Not an ounce of friendliness from the waiter. We only found out later that we can ask for this charge to be removed.Overall, not a great dining experience but not the worst either as the dessert was lovely. Also, there is cool wallpaper in the womens toilets.Update: We went back here for a third visit and the service was much better, to the point that we didnt mind paying the discretionary tip. The waiting staff were all very friendly, professional and efficient this time. I recognised one of the waiters from the last visit.Unlike the last time we were here, they were very busy when we arrived this time. But they let us sit at the bar until our table was ready (5 minutes maxand I had a delicious hot chocolate. When we got our table, we had some delicious food: I got the mac and cheese and broccoli with almond butter. The almond butter is quite spicy. My boyfriend got the English breakfast and mushroom parfait. We then had some great cocktails: The Americas for me and a golden colada for my boyfriend. Pics included.
A great place for vegan food & it’s dog-friendly, as well! Friendly service, fresh ingredients, & delicious food. A bit on the pricey side, but for the location & quality of ingredients, it’s expected. It’s very popular, so you better book in advance (they do accept some walk-ins though). The food in the photos is from the brunch menu - FARMACY BENEDICT (waffles, portobello mushrooms, greens, guacamole, & hollandaise sauce); GARDEN PIZZA (GF); GOT NO BEEF BURGER (mushroom, beetroot & walnut with a side of sweet potato fries). They also have some great drinks unavailable elsewhere, like Maca Latte & their Adaptogenic Latte (contains Reishi & Shaga).Definitely worth a try (even if you’re not a vegan)!
Had the Mac n cheese and the beet burger. Both were good, but I feel like the Mac n cheese was a lot by itself. Probably would do better as a side. Still very tasty!
The mushroom parfait (entreeis to die for! The bread alone was incredibly. The staff was friendly and service was fast. I had the waffle falafel for main and the chocolate tart for dessert. Both were good! I recommend.
Sadly I found this place to be overhyped and disappointing. I was excited to try the mac & cheese but just found it very bland and lacking any flavour (2 other friends also had this and thought the same). Other people I was with had the Mexican bowl & coconut curry which were actually quite tasty, but very small portions. Also service was rather slow, I know sometimes there can be unavoidable staffing issues but 1 person’s food was brought out much later than the rest, and there was a 30 min wait just for 1 dessert. The premise of all organic & plant based food is great, but wouldn’t come here again.
Awesome place to get plant based food. The dishes are amazing. The crew is very friendly and helpful. Always a great dinner. We will come back soon.
Farmacy has become one of my favourite restaurants and Im extremely lucky to live only a fifteen minute walk away. The food is unbelievably delicious, everything appears to be of the highest quality and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Ive visited many times over the last two years and consistently left impressed. The only thing preventing a fifth star is the persistent problem with staff answering the phone. It doesnt look good when not a single member of staff answers the phone five times within the space of an hour. The customers on the phone are just as important as those in the restaurant.
I absolutely recommend Farmacy to everyone living in or visiting London. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and the waiting staff were some of the most polite and professional Ive come across. The menu is fully vegan and it was difficult to choose from so many delicious options. I went for the Mac n Cheese and a side of olives and do not regret it.If Farmacy opened a restaurant in Glasgow (🙏I would visit all the time.
We went here for a vegan brunch. I had the brunch and my husband had the hollandaise. The kids menu was great value as well, 3 courses for 16 ish quid. The mac and cheese was fabulous. The jackfruit ribs were the best Ive ever had, the best Ive ever tasted jackfruit.Everything I tasted was great, all made from wholefoods, no fake meat in sight. The scrambled tofu was so nice.I was very impressed and hope to return soon for an evening meal and try some other dishes. The staff were very friendly and warming, nothing was to much trouble. It is a shame that they are a cashless business, its sad, but the food was good.
Lovely vegan restaurant. We ordered hummous to share and I can say it was the best one I have ever tried. Quantity was not so much, I would offer a bigger portion, but taste was awesome. The mains were two burgers, a pizza and a pad thai. I would recommend the burger. Pad thai was not bad, but I think burger was better. Pizza was fine, but a bit basic. For dessert we tried the cookie ice cream, which I think was not bad but overpriced (12£). I would definetly recommend but I would avoid the desserts.
One of the best plant-based restaurants in London! The brunch is exquisite, specially the Benedict “eggs” on a waffle. If you can try one of their booster shots, they are super cool and come in a syringe! Decor and service on point.
This place is one of my absolute favourites. I dined here during my first time visiting London and had to come back five years later to see if it was as good as I remembered. It was even better. The mushroom parfait was so good that my boyfriend almost cried eating it. The aubergine was the perfect balance of creamy freshness and savoury. The service is top notch and folks are ultra friendly. We came back the next afternoon to eat lunch again before we left for the airport. It’s that good. I can’t wait to dine here again.
A pretty and elegant place serving vegan food. I took their "no beef burger" with sweet potato fries. The burger made of mushrooms, beet & walnuts were delicious, It came with a great sauce, onion and tiny cuts pickles. Unfortunately the bun was quite dry so I just left as for the sweet potato fries, they were cooked properly but had way too much salt on them. The food their is quite expensive and unfortunately they dont accept cash only credit which is not so convenient if youre a tourist but the service was nice and the place ambiance is nice and cozy with lots of plants.
Staff friendly. Food very average, to be honest I would have done a better job at home (and that steamed kale...hmm- maybe they had a busy lunch but we were one of the only tables with orders out and it arrived cold and was a very long wait, so not great...A lot of potential in the concept but to me felt canned, overhyped and overpriced. I didnt dare try the special coffee for £8.50.Love eating out in London but this one was underwhelming and left me deflated. Sorry honest feedback.
Delicious vegan food many options for anyone with all kinds of allergy. The place is amazingly beautiful both the outside and inside. There were unfortunately a few mishaps but the manager was very polite and handled the issues very well. Great place to visit in London, neighborhood is really nice and it is just a short walk from Paddington and Hyde Park
Beautiful ambience, good vegan food, healthy and fresh ingredients. Service was friendly but slow, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Definitely worth a try when in the area, however wouldnt go out of my way to eat here.
We arrived here with my wife on bicycles and closed our bikes front of restaurant, inside environment was beutifull with lot of plans, waiters were very kind, one vege burger and Falafels with 1l water. 32£ for these well-earned :-)
Perfect and surprising combinations of vegan cuisine flavors. Casual interior and friendly service. I did not like Maca caffe, but it is an individual matter. A large selection of dishes from around the world and they are united by lightness and excellent taste. Curry with cauliflower and kale perfect. The most interesting-tasting beetroot burger I have eaten so far. Only note - the sweet potato fries were not crispy. I recommend it to anyone who likes vegan cuisine and doesnt like boredom.
Lovely experience. I didn’t know what to expect but food turned out to be excellent. Would recommend to my friends. Dog friendly: big plus!
This place is vegan. I had the burger... It was amazing. One of the tastiest things I have ever eaten. Friendly staff, I even got given a free chocolate bar 😊
I ordered their nachos and Caesar salad, and they were both fantastic. The cheese and meat crumbles on the nachos were my favorite part. Highly recommend!
It’s almost impossible to find a place for dine in when you are gluten free, dairy free, sugar free.. Especially when there are 8 of us on a specific diet. But Farmacy gave us a chance to feel like normal people easily ordering from the menu. We were such impressed that came back second time a day for deserts. Everything was fantastic. Can’t recommend enough.
Waiter spilled water over my friends phone, service wasn’t attentive at all and took a while for anyone to come over and take orders. Drinks were tasty and imaginative in flavour, the popcorn cauliflower was amazing and well portioned and the mains were bright, vibrant and full on flavour. I think the menu could be a bit more exciting, especially with the desserts but the atmosphere was good and I’d probably go back at least once.
Outstanding restaurant. Their philosophy and culture permeate the food and drinks to create a range of flavors and textures that exceed expectations. The staff are friendly and considerate, an indication of what comes of eating such nutritious and delicious food regularly.
Absolutely loved his place! The staff, the food, ambience, the drinks and desserts. It is a one stop shop for an excellent dining experience. The interiors are beautifully crafted and have a unique feel to the aesthetics.Very pleased with our meal for two.Starting with the beetroot hummus with zatar bread, moving to the main course with drinks on the side.Totally worth it and will go there again to try out more.
The food was alright but not worth the price we paid. £16 for an average mushroom based burger. And whilst the fresh juice was really good, it also wasnt worth £8.But the staff were friendly. And they accommodated us at short notice on a busy day.
Nice ambiance and good food even I didn’t know was super vegan! The waitress wants me to order a expensive wine and I did and the wine was really bad…
Tasty but ramen is definitely not a ramen (spaghetti noodles insideburger was correct. Maybe other meals are better, coz place was full of people on Monday evening :lovely service, greetings to our waitress Zuzana, xo
Vegan food! I had tagliatelle and porcini mushrooms. They were delicious. Lovely location in a nice London area
The best food Ive had in a long time and completely plant based! Great atmosphere and service.
I think this is again one of the places where I had high hopes. Dont get me wrong the food was nice but what I ordered was not my first choice as the other dishes were no longer available. We had a reservation at 2PM and felt restricted with the options. The pancakes were nice but not amazing. The decor is cute and worth a visit. But once is enough.
Lovely place! The stuff and manager were so sweet, helped with any questions we had and even modified the dishes slightly. Will definitely be going back!
All food was vegan. The cauliflower popcorn was SO SO good!!! Overall really godo food. Usually I find vegan deserts, not as good as normal ones, but all of the ones on this menu were Winners. I think the overall score forme was service. Really good work. A little pricey - but so so good!
I love the Farmacy experience. From the interior design to the organic menu. I always find it a luxury experience to dine here. The pricing is on the higher side for the portion size however given the quality of the food and the excellent customer service, I would say it balances out well. I always look forward to coming here and am never surprised that its hard to book a table at short notice due to the demand !
The food is perfectly good. None of the dinner wowed me, but I was content with it. It wasn’t innovative but it was satisfactory and tasty. The desserts were the star, I really loved the brownie dessert! Very satisfying without being overbearing. The service however was really disappointing - we waited 35 minutes for our order to be taken, then when the meals came the waiter never came to check on us and we desperately tried to flag just any staff down to refill our water. It was damn near impossible to find out waiter to get our bill and then it seems he just forgot anyway and after another 15 mins of waiting for the bill we flagged someone else down. It’s unacceptable For service to be that poor when a discretionary service charge is already added to the bill, and when the restaurant is less than half full. Really unhappy with that.
Restaurant decor was nice. Ordered the chargrilled corn to start, it was very difficult to eat half of it was undercooked and was generally lacking flavour cost £9 for one piece of corn… mains we got the burger with sweet potato fries and the pad Thai. Burger was completely flavourless again sweet potato fries were a soggy oily floppy mess. Pad Thai had 5 pieces of tofu and whole dish was flavourless again. 1 starter 2 mains & tap water was £50 we visited Farmacy thinking since the menu was tiny & the food was completely plant based it would be amazing however it was anything but I’ve had better vegetarian food & service at normal restaurants for half the price. Would not recommend and will not be returning.
Wonderful vegan place with amazing food. It has very cool decorations, especially in the toilets. Very welcoming staff. The food is not too pricey for the amazing quality that you receive. Great place for brunch.
Book a table at pharmacy for fantastic vegan food that is designed to be as healthy as possible. Ingredients are very fresh. We ate Pumpkin soup, kale salad, and ramen with fresh juices to drink. All dishes were awesome! Service and atmosphere are also great. It was a bit expensive but understandable for such exquisite food.
Really interesting menu, though perhaps a little overcomplicated at times. The nachos starter was fab! The burger too was amazing. The mushroom tacos were good though were a little earthy tasting and amazing - albeit tiny - pot of guac !!
Really nice vegan place but very much paying a price for the vibe. Food and drinks were nice, service was a bit lackluster. Definitely a good option for a fancy vegan treat but probably better options at a lower price point.
Mixed feelings about this place. The price to overall service and food quality ratio was subpar. Okay tasting vegan food. Beautiful decor. Customer service needs some working on but it was a busy Friday evening….. I guess. We asked to remove the 12.5% service charge and the manager asked us why which made us feel quite uncomfortable.
I visited Farmacy for lunch. I wasnt familiar with the menu so I asked the waitress to show me the most popular items, and I picked one of those (the Got No Beef Burger). The burger was ok, certainly nothing memorable but it wasnt bad either. Fries were so so, perhaps a bit soggy, while the apple juice was nice. The customer service was good overall, maybe just a bit slow (it took them quite some time to bring the burger even though the restaurant was half empty). The waitress who served me was nice and friendly though.I didnt particularly like that tables are very close to each other so you are basically dining right next to some strangers which, depending on who they are, can be an unpleasant experience.I would certainly give Farmacy another chance in the future but there are definitely better vegan restaurants in London.
Lovely location and setting. Great for vegans/ vegetarians, good quality food. Loved the cauliflower starter. Very good service. My only complaint is that the menu wasn’t very innovative.
We came here for the first time and the whole experience was wooow !!!We didn’t have any reservation but they didn’t reject us...Food is amazing and well balanced and the atmosphere is very relaxed…We’ve been served by a ginger hair waitress from Brazil and she gave us a top quality service. Finally a restaurant where the staff knows exactly what’s on the menu !!!!!!!!!We’ll be back for sure !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I can’t fault any of the dishes I consumed. The food was absolutely delicious and I couldn’t eat for the rest of the day. I love that they serve you free filtered water 👌🏽. Restaurant is very clean. I liked that they had PowerPoints and cable connections at each table. The main toilets are downstairs and are very clean. The disabled toilet also has baby changing facilities.
What can I say.Its a bloody brilliant restaurant for anyone looking for that extra vegan experience. Or just wants some great food in their life.Get there fast and dont look back. You will never see healthy food the same way again. Try some CBD and the Lasagne. Try the Zaatar Flatbread and thank me later ;)Cheers
Very trendy vegetarian restaurant and a prime example how vegetarian can mean great food too. The place was packed on a Monday Evening, mostly the young & trendy but also all generations. Was offered to sit at bar which was perfectly fine. Ordered the Middle Eastern Wrap with Kimchi and the Ancient Coffee Brew as a drink. The falafel wrap was very, very tasty - me as a meat eater I did not miss the meat. The Kimchi was not the usual Korean Kimchi but was also very flavoursome and friends of Kimchi will not be disappointed.Staff here is mostly very young so somehow there was a bit a question if they have the Ancient Coffee Brew, they did have it, but they gave it to me complimentary nevertheless without me even expecting it. Great management! All in all wonderful ambiente, packed restaurant, excellent food & drink and very friendly service. Great place for any occasion!
So, we finally visited Farmacy again with high hopes. But we are sadly not impressed, at all.Our waiter did her first day, which sometimes must happen, but she had never eaten at Farmacy herself so she couldnt help us with the dishes. Our first course the loaded nachos, (we have had that before and that is still good). Our main course was simply tasteless and the curry only left us with a taste of fat and the Sticky Toffe Pudding was simply uneatable, (it tasted like three different variants of muscovado sugar...)The restaurant is cozy and I like the Swedish🇸🇪 soap in the men’s room but it makes me really sad that they have everything to make really amazing food. I mean they have their own organic farm!I really wish I will come back someday and that the food is popping and the staff seems to love organic vegan food. What we had:Loaded NachosSeasonal CurryLoaded Mushroom TacosRaw Chocolate TartSticky Toffe PuddingThe AmericasForagers MartiniMatcha Tonic
This is a beautiful vegan restaurant. Everything is vegan and 100% sustainable! They value the impact the food has on our health and their dishes are made of all what is good for you and for the planet. We went on a Saturday afternoon and we ate outside, but the restaurant has beautiful interiors and I loved the care for the details. The cocktails were nice and the girl that served us was very kind. The food was delicious and full filling. My (non veganfriend loved the burger and we devour the dessert. I found that the portion were good and the products were all fresh and you could taste them properly. The only negative note, is that each dish seemed to miss same depth, everything was a bit plain, but I would definitely come back to try more things!
