Farma of Rhodes | Petting Zoo in Rodos

Amazing experience! I love to spend time with animals but this is even more than I could imagine! I fed emu, touched it as well as lemurs ❤️ you can buy food for all animals there for 2 euros per cap. Unfortunately there were no kangaroo, this area was closed. There are enough space for animals (I was a big afraid of that at first). Definitely worth a visit!

A place with such a good energy. We were warmly welcomed. Stuff is friendly and I can see that theyre very dedicated to the zoo. I saw happy and well fed animals. Thank you for taking so much care of these lovely creatures.Thank you for the opportunity to pet a lemur.

This is the best petting zoo you will ever go to! The staff are very enthusiastic and clearly love the animals and the job they do. Whist at the zoo I got to stroke and a feed an ostrich, hold the hand of a lemur and pat the head of a camel! It is a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. Absolutely cannot miss this incredible opportunity!!

one of the greatest places in Europe, where you can get safely surrounded by trained ostriches and feel like you are in a Jurassic Park. I hope the owners will keep taking full care of the magnificent animals theyve gathered on the island of Rhodes.It is a genuinely out-of-this-world experience, which I wish to everyone.

Great place to visit in Rhodes. It was a very nice experience to interact with ostriches and lemur’s. Staff was explaining everything and was educating us about these specific animals we had a chance to interact with. Would highly recommend!

Nice place for childeren, entrance is 11 euros for adults. And also with a restaurant en really nice staff working there. A really must see!

This place is run with great care. The place is very well maintained and the animals are looked after properly. You can pet and interact with most of the animals and those activities are supervised and guided well. The restaurant and facilities are very clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely an absolute gem hidden in the middle of the island.I Highly recommend this place for families with children but really everyone should take the time to visit this place.We sure had a great time!

Good experience trolled by a waffleThe zoo was much better we expected. Small but full of good solution and experiences with the animals.I never expected to touch and feed an ostrich or stand on her eggs..My small - 2 years old - daughter also enjoys every minutes. It is really worth the money.After we visited the Zoo we sat into the restaurant for lunch.The prices were a bit higher as expected, but to support the zoo it was okay.The service was good, waiters were quick and polite.There was one thing which totally killed the whole restaurant-experience, is the waffle.The waffle was burned, and should not serve. It was around 7 euro, and for this amount didnt have to save money on the basic price of the waffle. When it is burned,then throw it away and bake a new one. Those extra 5 minutes wont hurt the guest, but the burned waffle is.

Had an amazing time at the farm. Staff are very welcoming. Will definitely return if ever back in Rhodes.

Amazing! You could touch and feed almost all of the animals and there were people telling you about the animals and in the lemur enclosure there was a guy who gave people apples to feed to the lemurs which was really nice and it really added to the experience!

We did NOT visit this place because we read the large number of (old and recentcomments describing the poor living conditions of the animals.The concept is very interesting and we would have loved to go, if it we were sure the animals were happy and provided with everything they need.We write this comment for you to know that there are people like us who read the user comments - and if they are describing bad living conditions of the animals - do not visit thought we would have liked to.

It was a wonderful experience. Me and my boyfriend have visited this place together for 11 euro entrance each and 2 euros per cup to feed the animals. Lots of cute farm animals and you can also interact with them by petting them and feeding them. All of them are well trained and friendly animals. There was one lady with the ostriches working there, she has good English and is very knowledgeable and friendly. The farm has very nice areas to just sit down in the shade and relax as well as free toilets since you are already paying an entrance fee. There is a restaurant and places were you can buy snacks and water. It also has a farm shop where they sell very cute bags with the animal faces, mugs and all kinds of nice seveners to take with you. Even at our age of 29, we really enjoyed the place and strongly recommend to anyone who likes animals and wants something different from rhodes than just beaches and seeing monasteries and buildings.

Cute little park where you can pet almost all of the animals. There are interaction zones where you can go in the cages. We did not wait at all at the entrance. Its a bit pricey for the size of the park but with a map from the butterfly valley, youll get 10% off.

So far the best place we have visited on Rhodes. The animals are treated with respect and cared for so well. At the same time, visitors can interact with them where it is appropriate. We and our children really enjoyed our visit. We also recommend the excellent modern restaurant with healthy local food.

Must visit place if youre traveling with kids!Weve spend 1.5 hours feeding different animals and our 5-year old boy really enjoyed it. The place and surrounding areas suffered wild fires some time ago but theyre slowly recovering.

Extraordinary place. There are a lot of animals to interact with in specific areas where someone is always there to help you. You can feed the animals with the food you buy at the entrance for a few money. We loved the ostriches. Definitely a must see in Rhodos.

Super friendly staff who give you a lot of detailed stories about the place and the animals! You can see that they really care about them. Its a lot of fun to feed and pet all the different species, like ostriches, lemurs or goats and many more. The place is also lovely build with clean toilets and cute kiosks. In the restaurent we ate a delicious ostrich omlett (with an amazing salad for just 10€!Would totally go again, for this I like spending my money !

I had a great time at the farm i loved petting all the animals im sure it will be even better when the newly planted trees and shrubs grow some more. The only thing that wasnt so nice is that i got stung by a wasp at the entrance of the park it was not a huge deal but noticed a whole lot of wasp activity by the racoons and bunny area that we actually skipped it. If you would get the wasp problem under control and also maybe think about fixing the swings too while you are at it then the farm would be a full 5 stars :)

Very nice petting zoo with very friendly and commited personell.We´ve visited Rodos Farma already 3 times (2013, 2019 and 2022). It´s a fixed part of our holiday when we´re in Rhodes.Sad to hear they´ve sufferd a big bush fire in August 2021 killing over 20 beloved animals, destroying infrastructure including the owners house.Seeing it less than one year later, theres an enormous amount of work done with priority to the animals housing.Thumbs up 👍 and we will for sure come back!

The park is beautiful and very well maintained and the staff are very nice and explain what you need to do when you interact with the animals. Any interaction is supervised and the animals are well cared for. The entrance fee is €11 but it is cheaper if tickets are bought online. You can feed the animals, the price of food is 2€.

Actually we wanted to visit the butterfly valley not far from the farm, but when we passed there we saw hordes of people, so on google maps we saw this petting farm. We have a 7yo so it was a great alternative. Driving towards it you can see with your own eyes the devastating result of the fires of 2021. Moreover the owners of the farm lost everything last year. So 11€ pp and 8€ for the child for us was not a big deal with the idea to support this family farm. There are lits of animals and well kept. You can feed and pet them.

I work at a rescue sanctuary in the UK so I have a good eye for animals that are unhappy or poorly treated. Those at the Farma of Rhodes are clearly well cared for and I found the whole setup to be extremely professional and very well done.ALL of the staff that we met were extremely polite, spoke excellent English and went out of there way to welcome us. Maria (I think that was her name!at the ostrich park and Panos at the Lima enclosure were particularly nice. The lady in the shop opposite the donkeys was also lovely.A great visit to a professional setup that exceeded our expectations in every way.For visitors, there isnt much shade or cover apart from the odd tree or at the cafe stops so bring sun protection. We arrived at about 10am, during the week, in late July and there was almost no one there.We bought tickets online and took advantage of the discount. This process was very easy and we didnt even queue on arrival.

Most pleasant attraction on the island we went to so far. Really liked all the animals and we could pet most of them.

Very lovely and enjoyable zoo. We had no waiting times and the staff was really friendly, helpful and competently.The interactive part was definitely an unforgettable experience as we were able to pet and feed nearly every animal.Our highlight was Phanos with the lemures. He was really entertaining and caring. He also had a calm way of treating the lemurs and the people! We got some amazing photos while fat loui was climbing on our bodies :DWe definitely smelled like fruit salad afterwards but it was indeed an amazing and unforgettable experience!Would definitely recommend everybody who loves animals to visit the zoo when beeing on rhodes!Thanks for the great day!

Great petting zoo, not too crowded. There are camels, lemurs, goats, lambs and many other animals and birds

We are in love !! This is so beautiful here - the animals have enough space, get good food and are obviously happy - the food is vegan vegetarian that’s also perfect for us ! The employees are so nice and I would highly recommend when you are on Rhodos please visit it 😊

Nice place, we really enjoyed petting the animals. The animal trainer took time to talk to us about the animals and his job. Very good experience.The vegetables cups are a bit expensive (2€and not full.

Super nice zoo. You can come in to a lot of animal shelters and touch & feed the animals. It’s only €11 pp. I really recommend this zoo!

This little farm is fantastic and well worth €11!! My two friends and I went here this afternoon after also visiting the beautiful Butterflies Valley (butterflies entry cost €3a short taxi ride away earlier on in the day (taxi between the two places cost €10, which we split between 3 of us). The staff are super nice and friendly. They helped us interact with lots of the animals like the ostriches and lemurs, which are all very good natured. You can definitely tell the staff know and care a lot about each animal and shared lots of knowledge. Its a really great place to spend an afternoon and you can see in our photos we had tonnes of fun here!P. S. They also have a vegetarian restaurant on site with a fun menu like ostrich egg omelettes for €11.50 and nice shaded seating areas with tables, swings, hammocks, etc.

A must visit place if you go to Rhodes. The caretakers are extremely kind towards both human and animals, we got a chance to pet the ostriches and take photos with lemurs.

Beautiful place with very kind people who know a lot about the animals. Its magnificent to see how the animals and the trainers interact with eachother. You can feed all the animals. I even fed a ostriche as you can see in the picture. I am very happy we visited Farma of Rhodos today.

Amazing little petting zoo, the staff are so friendly and clearly very passionate about the animals. The place is in great condition considering there was a horrible fire recently, and you can tell how much these people care about this zoo. There is plenty of interaction with the animals, we had so much fun playing with the lemurs and getting to feed camels, ostriches etc.

Great place! We really liked the atmosphere there, exceptionally friendly staff, that are fluent in several languages!You can get really close to the animals and feed them.We especially enjoyed the lemurs and their trainer Panos!

I had just come to the zoo with my girlfriend on 21.05.22 in the late afternoon. There were hardly any people there. We received a really warm welcome. Already at the first station, where the ostriches were, there were two people from the zoo who spoke to us directly and led us to the ostriches. Even though we hadnt bought any food at the entrance, the woman gave us some of her food and let us feed the ostriches while she told us about the animals. Everything was very cordial and also really very interesting! As a highlight, we were even allowed to go into the ostrich enclosure with the ostriches inside and stand on the eggs (they can stand that without any problems). That was really cool and the ostriches were very friendly. Afterwards, we continued past other animal enclosures to the lemurs. Immediately one of the workers came to meet us and explained everything about the animals and gave us some of his food so that we could feed the lemurs. And so we went from animal to animal.We had a lot of fun and the personal and extremely warm way is just great!If you are on holiday in Rhodes, you should definitely visit the park!

We stumbled upon this zoo by accident.Feeding the Lemurs was our highlight of the day. The employees were really friendly and gave us a lot of Information about the animals.You can even enter the enclosure of the ostriches and the lemurs! U can feed them and pet them.It’s a rare opportunity to pet an ostrich because, normally the ostrich are too dangerous to pet, but these are trained and used to humans.The whole employees very really kind,helpful and cheerful.I would really recommend to visit this beautiful place and take the once in a lifetime chance to get close to an ostrich!

Loved this place got to feed the ostriches straight from your hand and go inside with them, very cool animals even pick up there eggs, fed the lemurs very funny animals, plus donkeys, wild boars, goats, not loads to see due to a recent bush fire but we loved it, great team of people here especially the guy with the lemurs Zak panos very friendly guy thanks

Great place! Lovely staff, sweet animals and beautiful surroundings. The staff is so enthousiastic and take their time to tell you about the animals and their organisation. You can pet and feed ostriches, donkeys, horses, lemurs and camels. My daughter got to join the ostriches and feel how big and heavy an ostrich egg is and even stand on two of them. We really enjoyed our visit and definitely recommend this farm.

Rip off. Everything looks very poor animals are not looking very happy, the areas is only dusty. No greenery. It costs €11 for adults and 8 EUR for kids. Additionally they charge 2 euro for food. I will share with the family but I cannot recommend this spot to be visited. You Can only pet the goats, no other.

Beautiful little place with the opportunity for so many close animal encounters. Hand feeding ostriches was an amazing experience! The staff are very kind and friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the memories you will take home.

I was there with my boyfriend, I loved being there, animals was super cute and friendly, the staff was really nice to us too, My boyfriend asked if I can take picture with Lemurs and they said yes, even helped me to get closer to them and give me free carrots to feed them. I loved there so much that after 2 days when I flew back home we visited farm one more time to say goodbye, and on that day baby lama was born. Amazing Experience. Thank you. Ps : only kangaroo was really sad and afraid of us.

My heart is heavy as I write this review. The mini zoo at the time of our visit had been hit hard by the recent fires. You can see in some of the animals that they have experienced severe shock. Some enclosures are charred and there are no animals - I hope they are all ok. I have treated the entrance fee as an endorsement rather than a fee for the experience. Please come and support too. I think it would be good to do some fundraising for the restoration. I wish the animals and staff a speedy recovery. I send my regards.

There are sections which are burned down, so there arent kangaroos or camels. The entrance fee is pretty high (31€ for 2 adults and 1 child). You can go inside the ostrich cage and feed the animals.
